Welcome to the Peterson blog

The search for Bolingbrook resident Stacy Peterson has entered its fourth week now with no signs of the missing 23-year-old mother of two.

When Peterson was first reported missing on Oct. 28, the Bolingbrook Reporter Newspaper was one of the first media outlets to report her disappearance. The paper was also one of the first to report that Stacy’s car was at Clow airport during the early hours of the story. The Reporter has been covering the story at every twist and turn and will continue to bring you the latest.

The reason we have started this blog is to let you know what we know when we know it and to listen to you. We welcome an open forum to discuss the issues surrounding Stacy’s disappearance and all the other facets–and there’s many of them–that are surrounding this bizarre case.

Here’s the latest news from Monday:

• The search for Stacy has been called off until after Thursday

• Drew Peterson appeared on “The Today Show” for the second time, this time flanked by his new lawyer.

• The Bolingbrook Fire and Police Board will meet at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 20, to discuss Drew Peterson’s resignation and review charges being forwarded by the police department related to his employment history with the department.

• Dr. Larry Blum of the Will County Coroner’s Office is expected to render his opinion on the case once all the facts surrounding the case — including a review of case photographs, toxicology, investigative reports, radiologic evidence and microscopic examination of tissues — have been reviewed. A coroner’s office release said that “may take several weeks” to complete.
