Peterson wants 4th divorce

January 31, 2008 gatehousechicago 2 comments

Curious to see what you all think about this… The Herald-News ran a story today saying Drew Peterson wants to divorce Stacy. In the article, Peterson insists his wife ran off with another man and that he shouldn’t have to wait around for her to return.

Peterson also reaches out to Chicago divorce attorney Corri Fetman, who is expected to appear in Playboy next month.

Another thing to keep in mind; this is just a week after Peterson and his attorney Joel Brodsky attempted to set Peterson up with a date by asking radio program host Steve Dahl to run a “Win A Date With Drew” contest.

Representatives for Drew Peterson want him to take a lie detector test on national television, according to Fox News reports.

TMZ.com originally reported the rumor, claiming the representatives contacted the producers of Fox’s “Moment of Truth,” a game show where contestants are hooked up to lie detector tests to win money. Fox later confirmed the report, saying the representatives had made contact and wanted Peterson to appear on the show.

However, neither report indicated whether the two groups had scheduled a date for Peterson’s appearance on the show.

Peterson’s lawyer Joel Brodsky was not immediately available for comment Tuesday but a woman answering his office phone said Peterson will not be taking a lie detector test.

Peterson, 54, has been named a suspect in the Oct. 28 disappearance of his 23-year-old wife Stacy Peterson. The case has been labeled a possible homicide and forced police to reopen the investigation into Peterson’s third wife Kathleen Savio, who was found drowned in her bathtub in 2004.

Peterson, a former Bolingbrook police sergeant, has said he was not involved in either case. He has not been charged with a crime.

January 23, 2008 gatehousechicago 3 comments

Now that developments in the Peterson case are no longer daily front page news, we here at the Bolingbrook Reporter and Suburban Life Publications have a little more time to focus on the nuances of this case. Over the last week, the staff here has been compiling a list of frequently asked questions and questions still unanswered. As we track down the answers to our own queries, we’d like to give you, our readers, a chance to let us know what questions you’d like answers to. As questions come in, we’ll take them and find the appropriate family members, experts and authorities. Then, we’ll post the question and the answer on the blog.

So, if something in this case has you puzzled, perplexed or just plain baffled, post a comment with your question or send it to me, Danya Hooker, at dhooker@mysuburbanlife.com. Be sure to include if and how you’d like to be identified when I post the question and its answer.
