The anonymous writer who claimed to have spotted Stacy Peterson in a Kentucky mall parking lot also claimed to have reported the incident to local authorities.

In a release, Boone County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Tom Scheben said the department had no record of any report regarding the Peterson case.
