I don’t believe the friend some coffee story one bit except maybe she bought someone coffee!! but don’t buy she had no money. how was she going to pay for the fender bender? how was she going to pay for the new cell phone.
where did she get the money for hair coloring, manicures and pedicures!!
nope don’t buy it another embellished story to bias the public.
    _________________

It’s not that she didn’t have “money”, she made purchases all with traceable events. You know…credit cards. Drew wouldn’t allow her to have cash. He wanted to trace what was spent and where. Least that is what I recall being said by her sister in the FSP forum.

  2. I’ll try to get to the other thread and read up … but I tried once and my laptop just locked up … then I saw the “2.0” and came here instead!

  3. As far as the cash vs credit card talk, I have to differ with that.

A lot of people, myself included, don’t ever have cash on my person. I use credit cards for everything.

Depending on the credit card they could have been earning points, cash back etc.

Too much has been made about it. And it was Cassandra that gave the story, so it has to be taken as someone with a bias.

  4. I guess I wasn’t too far off on my “Can’t help with this hostage situation, Chief. There’s John Travolta! I’m his biggest fan!” … it was a drug bust and not a hostage situation. 😉

  5. hmmm……. tried to post this earlier but some how i got booted from the site with an error message. anyways…………. found this a little while ago about the ar-15

    http://ww w.bnd.com/326/story/354731.html

  6. When I worked as a nanny, one of my boss’ friends would keep her purchases at our house and “work” them into her house gradually so her husband would not notice. He’d been on her case about spending too much money on stuff they didn’t need.

I’m not sure what happened when it came time to pay the credit card …

  7. Noway, it probably was both…you know how those drug dealers are, they dont wanna give up there stuff, so Im sure a hostage situation would have taken place…..lol.

  8. Noway, was I that friend?? 🙂

I’ve been known to sneak stuff in from time to time….lol.

freedom, would a picture of the gun while Drew is on duty actually make it legal? Doesn’t it actually have to be registered with the department?

If he was on duty, why was he asking a celebrity for an autograph?
    —–

lol, I’m sure all around that day were asking for autographs that’s pretty normal human behavior on duty or not.
The photo’s shows that drew did use the weapon while on duty as his lawyer claim. If it was illegal then the department has some explaining to do especially if the other photo shows the new chief in the pic with drew and the weapon.
I don’t see what is so hard to understand about that. It’s the departments responsibility to insure their officers are not carrying illegal weapons bottom line. Now it appears the chief has made false statements and it doesn’t look good for the chief.
At some point people are going to have to see this for what it is and stop all the excuses to blame anyone but drew. These excuses won’t work in a court of law.
    ++++++++++++
MUST be one of the “Forrest Gump” people that that one wanna be lawyer posts to.
AND, why do I pay my taxes for some schmoe to get an autograph? GET TO WORK!

  10. Thank heaven for front hall closets. They hide all kinds of “spur of the moment” things, LOL. Come in the front door, throw it in the front hall closet, and no one is the wiser!

But, I did want to say that I, too, never have cash on me. I almost exclusively use my cash station card for all transactions.

  11. Rescue, when I have a dollar in my wallet, its a BIG deal, and I never know what to do with it.

And I agree about the front hall closets….lol.

  12. professional protocol would not be asking an hollywood actor for his autograph
    ++++++
    Worth repeating.

  13. Yeah ok. I’m so glad that none of you would have done the same thing.

I can’t say that I wouldn’t have. Who knows given the situation etc.

could you translate the first sentence please, forrest??
ask your local pd why you are paying taxes for that, not my deal lucille!!

  15. According to what Brodsky posted, this is what he said about the boys and the grand jury “They may never testify. Their lawyers are fighting hard to hold the ISP to its promise that if they talk to the ISP at the child advocacy center they would not have to appear before the GJ. “

  16. Maybe someone that Drew knows really loves John Travolta and he asked for that person.

If anyone I knew was anywhere near Denis Leary and didnt get me his autography, they would have heck to pay….lol.

  17. lol … that’s what JD would do (is that you, let?) … as long as her husband didn’t see the department store bags, he thought they owned these things …

I don’t think this man was controlling … I just think he wanted his wife to stick to a budget.

Over at SYM, someone referred to $25,000 as a pittance. I told her I wanted her life that she thought $25,000 was a pittance. 🙂

Avalon, way to jump to conclusions. You probably should have tried to gather some facts BEFORE you made such sweeping generalizations. To points 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Travolta was IN Bolingbrook doing an autograph signing for the movie Battlefield Earth at a local store. He was not being protected by “security guards”, but BPD Officers detailed out to an ON DUTY security detail as Police Officers and NOT security guards. 7. EVERY Officer got his autograph, and the problem with this is? 8. I won’t comment on that because I have no first hand knowledge and won’t speculate. 9. Again, Travolta was in Bolingbrook. Any other speculations? Again, I’m not defending DP in any way, just trying to keep some FACTS straight since it seems like people like to desregard those when they see fit.

The Chief is ALWAYS your Boss, on or off duty. Yes, parts of the “SWAT” team, and regular uniformed Officers were protecting Travolta. These were ON-duty Officers doing this
assignment, so all of it falls under the Policy and Procedure of the Police Department, not some outside “security detail”.

There is nothing to “register”. You have to shoot a qualification course with the weapon and that weapon has to be approved by the Chief and/or range master before it can be carried on duty. There is no formal “registration” so to speak. We fill out paperwork with the make, model, serial number, etc., but it is not some elaborate process. A copy is kept in the Dept’s file. Again, I think some people watch too much CSI and Law and Order and buy into the way the media portray’s things way too much.

  19. lcr, good for you….thats fantastic.

And I bet you are also the same person that would never, ever consider making a personal copy of something for yourself at work either?

Come on now, talk about picking apart something.

I doubt there is a one of us that hasnt done something on work time that we probably shouldnt have. Made a personal phone call, made a copy, took an extra 5 minutes for lunch, whatever it is, we have all done it.

  21. Pat –

I dont understand what you are NOT getting about this, but its pretty simple.

It was his assignment at the time. That is where he was suppose to be at that moment.

Stop making things up that arent true.

  22. no this is the dang truth!!
post from supposed bbpd poster on topix link in post I made that hasn’t shown up yet!!

Ben, you posted as I was posting, so we made the same point. Orphan, you seem to want to skirt around legal matters alot and just go with your emotion. Just because you have an opinion we are suppossed to take it as “truth”. There is a court process, evidence can be entered, cross examinations will take place. I am NOT arguing in favor of DP at all, I have zero use for the man, but what I do believe in is our legal system, which at times can be flawed, but is the best system there is in the world. Let the “system” do it’s job and don’t assume your opinion is always fact or law. And most of all, don’t assume the media is always getting facts straight, have a clue, or are fairly reporting. Anyone that believes 100% of what the media reports is truly niave.

Not all of us. Speak for yourself!

  24. I happened to be in a hotel for business down in New Orleans a few years back, before Katrina of course. I held the elevator and helped drag some box in the elevator for these guys…anyhow…after coming out there was this guy on the sidewalk signing autographs…I asked the guys from the elevator “who is that?” and they said “tony hawk”. I said “oh my son would be thrilled if he were here”…Well….they then said “do you want to meet him?” I said, “sure”…and these guys let me come on his trailer and then Tony Hawk came in and gave me a couple of autographed items for my son. It was awesome! My son still has the autographed picture on the wall in his bedroom and the autographed poster.

  25. wow….. where did that come from? i’m not sure why any of that has to do with what we’re talking about. this is my point, as part of the job drew was doing, he should have been expected to behave professionally since he is in the public eye. i used to work in the restaurant industry. i respected my employers by not embarrassing myself and possibly getting fired to do something so trivial while on duty. i represented the restaurant i was working for.

  26. Well then Pat you are an amazing human being, and your employer should be thrilled to have you.

  27. getting an autograph from a celebrity while on the tax dollar is just as bad as that girl at the village handing out bumper stickers on the tax dollar… remember all the fuss about that…work is work is work.. no time for play…

No double standard here. I didn’t have a problem with the woman in city hall selling bumper stickers…or the gal down the hall selling candy for her child’s school…or the guy around the corner desk selling raffle tickets to a fundraiser. We’re HUMAN. Life is too short. And who knows what the guy standing around at the pavement site was thinking or doing. He may have been having a conversation about his wife’s chemotherapy treatments with his buddy at work. We can’t be so judgmental on petty things like this. Life is just wayyyyyyyyy tooooooo short

  65. speaking of the weapon this is supposedly how the bbpd register their weapons.

This thread is really doing weird things. Jumbling everyone’s posts into one post?
    __________
Lavonda … it looks like that sometimes. Scared the crap out of me and a few others who thought we had copied the entire thread into our post!

    😀

  70. Okay, I wasn’t going to get in on this, but here goes.

Asking for an autograph isn’t hurtin’ anybody. Even if it’s a cop on duty. JMO.

Now, beating the crap out of a 100 lb women in a bar, caught on video, even if off-duty, rates way up there for me. You sometimes have to put things in perspective.

And – JT being “shot in the head” while signing an autograph? I’m not even going there!!!

Letthetruth – LOL, I’m with you 100%. I sometimes don’t even have a dollar on me! Some Girl Scouts came to the door a few weeks ago, and I couldn’t even buy a box of cookies!!!! But I could have handed them my cash station card.

  71. Joel had posted that Drew never said a word publicly about the $25,000 but another poster on SYM found where he did.

So my posts on the previous thread about Stacy not having money is incorrect.

However, Joel may have misspoke (misposted?) and Drew may have been misquoted.

  72. I forgot that I’d logged in on my other computer to watch the video I had posted … still was logged in on desktop and trying to work on laptop … thought that might have been the problem, but I don’t think all of you did the same thing.

Something big is going to go down and we’ll all be having computer problems!

  73. And Rescue, a really good day for me was when Portillos’ started taking credit cards through the drive through….LOL.

I’m pathetic with that credit card…lol.

  74. why would they be a conflict with village hall..i dont understand… Mrs. Peterson is a missing person from the city… why would it be a conflict for the village to let bumper stickers be available for other citizens of the village to have…

is it because Mr. Peterson is also a member and the suspect.. so the city should remain uninvolved and apathetic towards her disappearance..if anything because their own police force and the states police force feel she has been a victim of foul play i would think they would be even more concerned and empathetic towards her disappearance and want to help Mrs. Peterson be found…

i guess i just dont understand the conflict…

  75. grrrrr I can’t believe that happened to that woman.
    double grrrrr

hey remember the guy that tried to sue drew and claimed he beat him and the tape showed drew wasn’t even there!!
    takes all kinds I guess!

  76. LTTBF – LOL at you! I just used it today at Portillo’s!!!!!

You know what, letthetruth? That big burley butthead needs to run into a pack of Hell’s Angels someday and see what it looks like laying on the ground getting your head punched in, instead of being the one doing it. Heh?

  77. Rescue, yes…and I would love to be there to witness it.

He’s a coward as far as I’m concerned, and a goon.

  78. the bumper sticker was to raise funds for a group called friends of stacy peterson not a bumber sticker from the city to look for the missing in bolingbrook. kinda like a dare sticker.
also with the current anger from many in bb towards drew, deserved or not, it’s not IMO ethical for the city to take sides.

And – JT being “shot in the head” while signing an autograph? I’m not even going there!!!
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
But, like, why did they STOP a drug bust (according to JB) to provide a SWAT team for JT? I’m just sayin’.

  80. i would hope it would be ethical for the city to take Mrs. Petersons side… its not a divorce hearing..its a missing person… she is more important at the moment than Mr. Peterson or her friends and family or any anger or actions of those alive healthy and accounted for..right… because she’s the one that at least two branches of law enforcement believe has been a victim of foul play… i think that trumps egos and grudges.. and i think her side is the only side the city should be taking…

maybe if Mr. Peterson made a bumper sticker and used that money to pay searchers to look for her based on what the city paid employees believe happened to her.. the village would sell those too…

i wonder if Hosey misquoted that one too…oh.. wait…he didnt write that article…guess theres another explanation.

  83. Why is it that Drew is feeling bad for this girl…yet on the other hand, he is making it appear as if she was his girlfriend? Oh wait. I remember. Cuz’ it’s not really about her. It’s about him.

  84. “We fill out paperwork with the make, model, serial number, etc., but it is not some elaborate process.”—Freedom

At the top of that paperwork did it say “Weapon Registration Form?”

    sorry in advance

  85. freedom – I believe she’s related to Stacy’s father. I think she’s been in town here visiting quite often, so I just assumed she’s from her dad’s side.

  86. I’m sure there were company policy handbooks that clearly defined the rules for the length of the gun barrels. Personally, I don’t see him getting out of this. JT or no JT. I think he’s in a bit of trouble.

  87. If Drew would have just been in New Hampshire this would be a non-issue….lol.

Easy to have guns there, versues Mass.

  88. ikwud, obviously carol penning agreed with you.
as an outsider I had hoped the city and people of bolingbrook would take the high road concerning this case.
I don’t feel most of the players in this case have on all 3 sides.
The whole attitude from the in your face we are going to poke you since LE can’t arrest you attitude leaves bad taste for my views of that town and what justice should be. Let alone everything concerning Kathleen. the vigil with pinatas that’s just too much for me and very sad.
so yes the selling of bumper stickers for fsp at city hall IMO is a conflict of interest.

  89. I don’t think they stopped the drug bust did they? I just thought they pulled DP and his partner from the SWAT personnel going to the drug bust and had them guard John Travolta.

That was my interpretation. Been wrong before.

  90. lavandadolce // May 29, 2008 at 9:37 pm

There’s a guy in prison who is suing Drew Peterson and Kathleen Savio. Some strange person that files law suits left and right. They dropped the case. LOL

oh come on seriously? that is just sad.

  91. freedom, what the heck did he sue them for? Kathleen has been dead for 4 years. Did he not realize that?

  92. i agree. Ms. Savio never got anywhere near justice…and it was my hope that the city would not let that happen this time… but i do agree with you about the pinatas and all of the other immature paraphernalia…that is letting hatred and anger cloud love and compassion.. i guess the line between those is what seperates those i tend to agree with and those i tend to not…

  93. Anyone heard or seen Basherette? Been worried about her. Wonder if she went on vacation for Memorial week? I hope so. Doesn’t seem like her to not post here…or my forum…and she has been the biggest one to give Brodsky all the questions?

  94. freedom – as a matter of fact, yes, I think that is the event DP and SP attended (wedding?) when they appeared on the video together.

  95. Hey folks,
We’ll have our updated grand jury story up in a bit. Someone asked earlier which side of the family Candace Aikin is from. She is the sister of Stacy Peterson’s mother.

  96. wonder why aunt candy never mentioned to her brother stacy’s fears of drew?
didn’t her father say he didn’t know of any problems stacy didn’t talk about it to him?
which I don’t find strange she didn’t I do wonder why aunt candy would not talk to daddy cales about it.
I just don’t get it. no one listened to kathleen and now looks like no one listened to stacy? why not especially stacy. I don’t get the pastor not doing anything, didn’t he say he didn’t even tell anyone at the church?

So I guess its just the way you go about acting that will help in a cause.

I thought that was very mature of both of them, Aunt Candy and Drew.

  100. Joel did respond to liz about the ring:

    Joel,

Where is the anniversary ring that Joel bought for Stacy? Have your PIs come up with anything on it being pawned, etc or was it maybe returned to the store after she went missing?

Thank you in advance for your time.

Joel’s response: 4. No ring has come up. (The 4. is because liz’s question was #4 for the day.)

  101. I heard that also lettruth and that says alot to me. Since prior to hearing that, word was he was keeping the kids from all family.
    another untruth
guess if you are armed for battle you will get one!

  102. Thanks, Gatehouse. Here I was thinking she was from the father’s side, and she’s Stacy’s mom’s sister. Always learning something new!

I stand corrected if that is true.

  104. boy if they could find that ring

anyword on the bodies found in the fieds wasn’t it two differnt bodies and locations?

  105. I wonder if the anniversary ring could be the ring that was missing from Kathleen Savio.

That would explain the reason Stacy was happy to have it (since she was going to divorce Drew, a ring from him would not have sentimental value IMO).

I don’t think Drew would have done it. Too risky to have her wearing the ring and showing people?

  106. Ok I watched it, and he mentioned some image but it has since moved down river.

    That has me asking:

If it was something they were really interested in, why didnt they immed. call the ISP and get them out there?

How long ago did they see this image?

And interesting about the ISP saying they will no longer search there unless they get a lead. And I take that as meaning a creditable lead.

  107. freedom, one of them was a male … can’t remember which one but can find it again (it’s posted on Lavanda’s site, she may remember).

  108. Rescue, if the ISP isnt interested in searching the waterways, that has to make me think they arent going to find anything there…I would hope they wouldnt waste the manpower and money on something they dont believe to be.

So if the ISP doesnt believe it, why does Roy think it?

  109. Just noticed this from Joel as well:

Did anyone see me on Fox News Channel mixing it up with Geraldo Rivera (Jerry Rivers). What did you think? Did his ignorance of guns come through? Did the fact that the issue is that the rifle was a duty weapon and the barrel length is irrelevant make it through the interview? Post your answer in the all things peterson thread. Thanks.

  110. Everytime I heard Geraldo’s name all I can think of is his looking for Al Capone and the wall….LOL.

  111. LTTBF – I think the search of waterways is for “other” evidence, to tell you the truth. This is just my opinion. I think, as I’ve said before, that’s why they searched near the wall edge of the Canal. Small items could have been tossed in there, never to be found. Like her phone, that infamous laptop, passport.

I know I’ve read that they’re focusing on a certain area for her body, so I assume that would be on land.

Aw, but then again, what do I know. Nothing!

    Who knows.

  116. well then why is roy searching the water ways if what rescue says is true, I’m not doubting you rescue just questioning the information. Is it to keep him busy and away from real evidence?
heck he just might find something could be from another case even!

  117. They are searching for a rafter in this area … one drowned, one rescued, one missing. The sonar is pretty amazing. I saw it on the news … don’t know whether it’s the same level as what Roy was showing . . .

  118. This was a much better interview with Roy. IMO

  125. You know, you guys, Mucha has been a real mystery to me.

On one hand, he was very active posting on Greta’s site for a while, remember? He used to go down to the Canal and take pics, then post them for Greta.

On the other hand, he is very, very good friends with Stephen Peterson. I never got how those two ideas worked together – taking pics of police looking for his buddy’s “stepmother,” and being friends with him at the same time.

Jerry Rivers (just kidding) did an expose on Mucha and claimed that he, Stephen and Drew were together prior to SP going missing. I don’t know if any of that is true, but Mucha is a very interesting character. Ya think?

  126. Pat, if it wasn’t the real Joel Brodsky, don’t you think the real Joel Brodsky would have said so?

The owner (is that the right word?) of the site had sent the real JB an email inviting him to visit the site and so I really think it is.

He certainly could be in a lot of trouble if he wasn’t who he said he was (he posted as joel a brodsky).

Blame JB for JT being a witness. Even if he were joking, blame him anyway. Think about that.

  130. Noway, now your getting me all confused.

All I have been thinking about today is, Sex in the City comes out tomorrow. We’re having a girls night Saturday to celebrate it….so I’ve been busy remembering episodes, and thinking of thinks to make to eat….lol.

  131. Here’ what I remember of the whole Randy Mucha thing.

Geraldo did this story where he said that someone saw Randy, Steve P., and Drew at a bar the week before Stacy disappeared. However, Randy was able to show that he was elsewhere the night in question. At a party at Penny Road (I think that is the name of the bar) with a bunch of other police offices. Steve wasn’t there. Drew wasn’t there. The police must have been able to verify that because he hasn’t been a “player” in this since. He also said that while he is friends with Steve, he has only met Drew once or twice and he hasn’t had a conversations with him. Only “hi” and “bye” type of stuff.

  132. Yes, it was Jimmy. I couldn’t stand it and had to look it up. I could have asked my husband. He’s a walking Seinfeld trivia man. But I love him anyway.

Jerry, George and Kramer finished playing a game of basketball with Jimmy, a man who always refers to himself in the third person.

  133. Noway, thats it, and I remember it very clearly now.

My Dad is a walking Seinfeld trivia guy himself.

  134. Yeah, and Chinese would be a big one, but I cant stand Chinese food…lol.

I’m gonna do NYC themed foods, and of course, Cosmo’s…:)

  135. And my prediction:

I expect an arrest warrant to be issued for Drew Peterson soon.

I didnt say a conviction, just an arrest.

    Then let the game begin.

  136. GJ – Mucha? No, not that I ever heard.

Hey, you guys, this is OT, but you know that “mole” that R. Kelly and his defense team say isn’t on the guy on the tape?

    Well, guess what? It is.

Oh, boy, somebody is in deep doo doo.

  137. letthetruthbefree // May 29, 2008 at 10:31 pm

Did Randy ever go before the GJ?

    ____________________________

Hmm… I don’t remember. I don’t think so. If he did it would have been in the very beginning. There has been zero interest in him other than for like a week after Geraldo’s story. I’m too lazy to go Googling for that info. LOL. It’s late. Maybe there’s something on this site about it.

  138. I am not sure whether he went before the GJ or not. Maybe he was one of the “unidentified” people.

  139. Gatehouse – you have to go back to Court again tomorrow for the weapon charge, right?

Could you please get the juicy gossip about further GJ sessions?

Also, once DP gets charged, we’re going to have to rely on you to run out of the Courtroom every ten minutes with a blog update. What ever will we do otherwise?????

  140. Long story short is I was fired for what the chief claims was a lie in a civil deposition and I have a lawsuit pending against the chief in federal court.” – Fox Reporter Tera Williams: “That lawsuit and the fact that he’s buddies with Steve Peterson is why Mucha believes his name has been leaked on somebody police could be looking at in Stacy Peterson’s disappearance. Mucha says he’s going on the record now to say he knows nothing.” – Randy Mucha: “They can have my cell phone records and dig up my yard or anything else they want to do.”

Maybe just questioned by state police?

  141. Rescue, that has always reminded me of the Michael Jackson case, remember they took photos of him naked because he has something on his body that only someone that has been intimate with would know.

R Kelly, that is a fiasco, as is Resko now.

  148. Hope I didn’t insult you, settingitstraight. I was just using your word (lazy).

Some days you just don’t feel like looking for stuff. Some days I think if I read one more article that says the opposite of what I thought I knew, I’ll just chuck the whole thing and delete every bookmarked site on my computer.

  149. Well, surprised they posted under their real names.

I have to say that Joel is the most surprising of all. Drew posting under his own name would have been more surprising.

  155. Oh, hi liz … saw his response about the ring and posted it above.

I’m sure someone else did the typing and he just okayed the final for posting. IMO

I wonder what question we asked spooked him. IMO that is why he is leaving. Doesn’t want to run because that would make it obvious.

  156. I’m sorry, noway. I shouldn’t get off topic like that. They have nothing to do with DP.

They are two Chgo PD cops that are in a whole bunch of trouble for robbing people. Yes, robbing. There was a ring of them. One lived 1/2 block down from me, the other 4 blocks. If you’re interested, Herrera is going to be on 60 minutes being interviewed by Katie Couric, I believe, on Sunday. I’d have to verify that.

If you watch, I drove past them the day Herrera was voice recording Finnegan setting up a “hit” on another cop.

I promise I won’t go OT anymore. That is rude on my part. Sorry, again.

  157. I think he knows the GJ is coming close to an indictment and all his time will then be spent working this case 24/7.

  158. Rescue, I think she was invisible a couple days ago at SYM, but haven’t ‘seen’ her again since. sent a couple pms from there but nothing yet. I felt bad she was getting bashed pretty bad there about her Jewish Pride, completely uncalled for but when you play with dogs…., so I hope she’s just taking a breather. She might need that. I would.

  159. Lizanne – I hope it’s just that too. That she’s taking a breather. She has so much to offer on this blog!

  160. Is that like a toy kind of thing? Something that goes deep under water? I’m not clear on that either.

  161. Honest to God, I dont understand those at FSP.

A ROV is an underwater robot type thing. They are very costly.

Last weekend it was, come out and see our new boat and really cool sonar stuff that is gonna change our searching ways. This week its, we need more stuff.

Enough already. People arent going to just lend you, or donate to you their ROV’s.

Its just like the ATV’s they were begging for.

  162. Its a think that goes into the water, and can do many things, like grab stuff, take pictures etc.

They are in the thousands of dollars to buy, and all the gadgets the go with them are costly also.

  163. I just hope they have at least found some kind of evidence, something tangible, even if it’s not Stacy.

I honestly don’t think there’s anymore for any witnesses to say before the GJ. It’s just a matter of tying it altogether. Just wish they’d find her.

  164. Here some info on one type and the costs.

    SCAN-650 Scanning Sonar

  165. I believe, if they really, really find something the ISP will get involved.

Its just one more thing that adds onto the pile of crap.

  166. Thanks lttbf-

    That’s what I was picturing.

I think they just realized that they underestimated the task at hand.

  167. They arent qualified to do this stuff.

If the ISP isnt interested in that area, then why the need for so many toys and gadgets.

Again, if they find something of interest, call the ISP and report it. The ISP has all the resources to get to it and see what it is.

  168. LTTBF – I don’t criticize them. They’re still doing more than I am, and as long as I’m sitting here at my keyboard and they’re searing for her or evidence, I’m not judging, criticizing or saying a word.

But, you still luv me, don’t you?

  169. Of course I do….:)

It just makes my blood boil, it really does.

They have bled enough from people.

They need to follow the lead of experts, and they clearly are not that.

It seems like every week its something need they need, and they make it sound like without it they cant search.

Why, why, why…..just search and let the police do their job.

  170. Liz, I would think.

That is whats so frustrating to me. They are NOT the cops, and they shouldnt act like the cops.

Find something of interest, call the ISP and let them do their thing.

  171. Sorry, got sidetracked and still finishing up the grand jury update.

The hearing is at 1:30 p.m. and the ROV is a remote-controlled device that allows searchers to get a better view of objects underwater. It basically will help them rule out objects as possible evidence without having to send divers in.

From my understanding, the ROV and side-scanning sonar is being loaned by Dennis and Tammy Watters and possibly another group…that’s on my list of things to get an update on. When I last spoke to them the ROV had not arrived.

Also, someone asked earlier about an object moving under water. That has happened several times. The current there has carried several objects miles away from where searchers originally found them, even overnight. The sonar equipment also allows them to immediately mark the location with GPS.

  172. Thanks Gatehouse.

On their site they are asking for a ROV now, to be loaned, or donate to them. And also asking for donations to Team Waters to help them buy one.

  173. I say bring back Tim Miller, they have all the bells and whistles to do the searchs on land and water.

  174. I know, now I got to go to bed with this conundrum going on in my head.

Maybe a couple Excedrin PMs and I’m out to dream land. As long as its not in a casino, with a sleepy older man.

    So G’Nite kids.

Off to watch Craig Ferguson in bed. Love the accent.

  175. I really think there were two people answering for Joel. Or he had it transcribed. There was just way too big of a difference in the quality of the writing, spelling (OMG), grammar on different postings.

I actually did discover two instances where he had copied and pasted from an interview that he had done at Legalpub for the answers. Those might be the ones.

  176. Good night to you letthetruth! Sleep well also.

I’ll try and wait for the update, if my eyes don’t snap shut on me!

  177. I’m playing Scrabble Blast while I’m waiting for Gatehouse’s update on the GJ today. Trying to keep my eyes open. I always play Scrabble Blast on MSN while I’m in-between blogging. Don’t really watch tv, except for the Cable News. Oh, and DWTS.
