  1. I tell ya’….not sure if everyone will agree with me or not …but here goes.

I’m really getting tired of the media revictimizing the family of Stacy Peterson. Ok, so her brother served time for having relations with a 15 year old girl but WHAT DOES THAT have to do with Stacy Peterson being missing? Is there any member of Joe Hosey (the reporter) family who may be a prison inmate? Had sex with a minor? Where is it where people think they live in a perfect world with perfect family members that give them the right to exploit other family members? What Yelton did was wrong. Flat wrong. But how soon these media reporters forget that DREW HIMSELF did the same thing. Ok, so Stacy was 16 when they met…….however, not much difference in my book between a 17 year old girl and a 15 year old girl having sex……….but sure is a difference between a 24 year old with a 15 year old…………….and a 46 year old and a 17 year old. QUite honestly………WHO CARES about Yelton’s personal life. WHO cares if Cassandra and Bruce have found solace and a relationship and now live together? That is not news. Fact is…KUDOS to Cassandra to have found someone who is supporting her. KUDOS to Bruce for throwing the media off his property. These reporters are really starting to become very National Enquirer-ish. As far as Joe Hosey goes…………..he just blew the opportunity of my purchasing his book through Amazon. I will not now. He should know that Yelton out of prison has not a dang thing to do with Drew Peterson and/or the status of Stacy being missing. Shame on him.

As for Drew…”Peterson remained in Bolingbrook while his brother-in-law reunited with family in Lisle Township.
“He got out last time, I took him to Alexander’s for prime rib,” Peterson said. “I treated the whole cast of characters, as usual.”…………………..”as usual” ??????? My wouldn’t Stacy be proud of that comment. Does he forget she raised his children for the past four years? Washed his clothing? Put up with his crap?…………..and he comes across as pissy because he treated her family (that he called “cast of characters”) to dinner? Gimme a break.

Gonna be nice to see him getting his dinner served with some REAL cast of characters around him………………..in jail.

  2. ric mims is looking for suggestions as to what to do with his web site now that he has been advised not to use it for business. lawyer says “NO”.

  3. “Let’s see if the open blog forum will work. Open blog means No one including me can moderate the content on this site.”

Great idea Ric. Open Internet forum with no moderation? That shouldn’t attract any kooks or spammers.

That man has a couple crayolas missing from the box, doesn’t he?

  4. Just a couple?

According to Drew, Mims asked “How can we turn this into a money-maker?” when the news crews started camping out on Pheasant Chase Court.

For Mims, a street hustler with BIG debt, for him that is all it’s about ever.

My opinion of him is below low.

  5. Hi facs, it’s getting to the boring stage… even when we have something TO discuss, it is ho-hum. Even Yelton getting out, yawn. New gf was about the juicyest thing in the last month.

Some days I feel guilty and stupid for still buying into the media frenzy. Waiting, hoping for GJ news or arrest news or the white BrAnko to roll down the street… sigh…

  6. Ric Mims should just shut down his website IMO.

How crazy to have no moderator … if he thinks people were rough on this “cast of characters” before … he ain’t seen nothin’ yet.

  7. NoWay – exactly. Just because you own a domain doesn’t mean you have to use it. Replace your home page with a blank index page and voila, you’re done.

  8. For Mims, a street hustler with BIG debt, for him that is all it’s about ever.
    *********************************

I wouldn’t mind if he hustled something up and then paid his back child support. He’d move up a notch for me.

  9. You’re right Facs … she should pay that child support!

Maybe his website could be used to track his payments … and we could watch his balance dwindle. 🙂

  10. Oh, crud. “she should pay” of course should have been “he should pay” … to eliminate any confusion.

  11. No one to trash or bash today? Oh, my.

Hey, Bash hasn’t been here for a couple of days. Anybody see her that I could have missed? Lizanne is a no show lately too. Hmmmm.

Well, since we have no one to pick apart today, I guess I’ll put my efforts into inside and outside house work today. I’ll check back with you all periodically.

    Here’s to news soon!!!!!

  12. Well you all can pick on me.
I’ve been looking at the reverse speech research and finding some interesting reversals. I especially like the children reversals where forwards it sounds like babbling and backwards it’s a phrase. I remember when I was a child and I didn’t know the language but I knew what I wanted to say. I’d jump up and down in my crib trying to communicate and everyone would just laugh!
    Anyway,….DP says, “I murder her.”

  13. I won’t pick on you Cheena but I have to respectfully say that I think reverse speech makes no sense at all. It just doesn’t.

DP didn’t say, “I murder her”. He said something else and then someone played it backwards and tried really hard to hear something in it.

I’m bored and hungry for news but not to the extent that I’m going to try to make some up.

    🙂

  14. Not to worry. Whenever it gets this quiet with Drew and the news, something big happens.

Until then, we hurry up and wait.

  15. That reverse speech and the Sandra files … just make me feel stupid. I can’t hear what they say is being said.

  16. Yes, men MUST pay child support. This is a serious issue with these irresponsible guys.
They treat women as doormats. They have their pleasures, leave them prego and then they run as fast as they can. The women cannot work because they have to take care of the babies. Once at this stage the women cannot find another man because men are scared of getting them prego and the girls become men deprived. They get nuts and make everyone’s life a misery. All these because the dudes don’t pay child support!

  17. My thinkin’ process is not sophisticated, is rather plain and simple. They must pay so we can enjoy life.

  18. I think women who leave should pay child support too. It’s support for the CHILD.

And I don’t believe women with children cannot work. I have children. I worked.

  19. OT sorta, I think both parents of any child should support their children both financially as well as emotionally. Since it’s so quiet I guess we could all take a vote now on whether we think the GJ will hand down indictments on any of the cases they are investigatng..

I vote yes on KS’s Death.
I am unsure on SP disappearance
I sm really unsure on Lisa Stebic’s disappearance

    Food for thought anyways.

  20. I worked and raised my children without support. At least they know that I love them and they were taught that if you want something in this life, you work for it. I’m proud of all three of them, they are successful adults. No thanks to daddy!

  21. noway406 // June 6, 2008 at 12:48 pm

I think women who leave should pay child support too. It’s support for the CHILD.
    ***********************

When my spouse and I divorced, I moved to Chicago for a job. Ex and I didn’t want the kids to go to Chicago schools so they stayed with him during the week and with me on weekends and holidays. We did this for 8 years and I paid him child support throughout. I think everyone involved enjoyed life a little more knowing that the kids were taken care of, wherever they lived.

  22. Great job, facs! My hats off to ya and your ex that you were able to work together for the good of your children!

  23. facs great for ya!
I think men who don’t wanna pay child support ought to get themselves fixed; is cheaper than child support.

  24. facs, sounds like you both had your heads on straight. The good of the kids is what was important.

  25. i vote yes on Ms. Savio
i vote yes on Mrs. Peterson
i am between an unsure and a no on Mrs. Stebic.

i also vote yes to child support, man or woman, it’s not about making any adults life easier..its about taking care of a responsibility…

even on an unemotional level of thinking..if you do the crime.. you pay the time… the child support is a debt incurred.. if you didnt want the expense you should have invested 10 bucks in a box of rubbers…

personally i feel its about much more than a financial responsibility to a legal debt.. but for those who see it as nothing but that..

i will be happy when the majority of states start removing drivers liscences of dead beat parents and work out a better system for wage garnishment state-to- state…

  26. noway406 // June 6, 2008 at 1:11 pm

facs, sounds like you both had your heads on straight. The good of the kids is what was important.
    ********************************

At least I understand how a lot of guys feel about it. You do hand over the check and have to trust that it’s going to be used for the kids. If you have an ex who’s getting her nails done while the kids need jeans, it would be aggravating.

The most annoying thing for me was when people would assume that as a divorced woman that I was getting child support or alimony. Especially, when I was laid off. Grrrrrr.

Sorry – to be so off-topic.

  27. At some point, people need to be made to be responsible for themselves, not the taxpayers. Birth control is a personal responsibility, IMO.

  28. ..i think people should just grow up and take responsibility… everyone has a sad story.. everyone has some excuse for why they could end a complete mess.. people need to learn to overcome those things.. before they screw up the next generation..

alot of the people i have seen who dont pay child support.. it is because they are too busy feeling sorry for themselves and all the things they dont have that they wanted or think they deserve..

…it is bad enough when someone is an absent parent.. but its just disgusting when its an absent parent who cant even help provide for the child…

  29. I agree, absent parents ought to be locked up. The kids can come and visit so they have contact with them.

  30. My BIL paid child support to his first wife. Then at some point, his daughter wanted to come live with him. Her mother agreed but my BIL still had to pay child support to his daughter’s mom until a court date could be set to change the custody agreement. I don’t know that it all went to the care of the child . . . Crazy.

  31. I think the grand jury will indict on KS death and the disappearance of SP, but I don’t know about Lisa Stebic – I haven’t followed that case as closely.

On a different note, I checked the Illinois State site to see if there was any news on the hearsay bill, and it says the legislature is not in session today, and the next session begins in November. I don’t think the hearsay law is going to be settled until the legislature reconvenes in November.

  32. The article that patmcready posted (yesterday’s link) said that the legislature could vote on it later this month. I was confused because I’d read that the legislation had passed …

  33. i think they are having a special session this month that isnt listed yet in order to review financial issues and are going to try to hear it then…

i dont think absent parents should be locked up.. not sure its criminal.. just think its pretty low if you ask me..

but then i look at some of the people ive come across and cant help but think maybe some children are better off with an absent parent than having them around..

    $$$$$$$

Grandma, if the taxpayers foot the bill for fixin’ in the long run pays off. How many of these abandoned children end up in prison as adults. Why the taxpayers had to pay for them to get locked up?
Is much better if the parents wanna get fixed and cannot afford , to get it for free.

  36. They can be absent parents IMO. They just need to contribute to the care of the children. And I’ll agree that with some parents, the kids are better off that they are absent.

  38. Noway…………..I sure hope the hearsay law gets passed later this month. Otherwise, it could get tabled until later in the year.

I really think the passage of the hearsay law is what the grand jury and state prosecutor are waiting for, before handing down an indictment.

In thinking about it……….the hearsay law could apply the to Lisa Stebic case too, depending on what evidence they have in that case.

  39. I met a chick like that ; the guy abandoned her and she got so bitter that now she’s stalking everyone that she meets, men and women.
She hates everyone and her only pleasure in life is to get into people’s lifes as much as she can . Yucky life… sorry for her miserable life
Even the bottle can’t help her now…
She really needs to get a life and realize that she should leave alone people that are sick of her.

  40. SCOTT PETERSON IS GOING BACK TO TRIAL JULY 8th .. for a wrongful death lawsuit . I bet DREW will be watching court TV about this..

  41. Yeah, they keep men locked up and the chicks outside are gettin’ nuts being men deprived! No good, I tell you….
Can you believe how many chicks would be just nicer if Scott Peterson would be free?

  42. noway406 // June 6, 2008 at 4:28 pm

Do people who are ordered to pay ever pay?
    ************************

If their wages are garnished, they do.

  43. What wages would Scott Peterson have? That’s what I’m really wondering. If they file a wrongful death suit against someone who is in prison, how do they get the money?

  44. noway, I believe they try to prevent him to make money from selling his story. If they win the’ll garnish his future earnings.

  45. futatesetalin…i dont particularly care if a man walks out on a woman..or a woman walks out on a man.. two adults are just that.. adults.. break up..make up.. walk out.. doesnt matter to me..

    its not about the women..
    its not about the men..

    its about the children..

.. i think we are talking about two different things… i’m talking about parents abandoning their children and you are apparently talking about women who need men to justify their exsistence and somehow think they cant live without them or some such..

..i’m just talking about the kids..

not drunk crazy women.. or whatever else you are talking about..

but maybe you dont have kids.. so you arent understanding.. you keep making it about the women..

  46. This woman was killed on the same day as Stacy in chicago heights. I do not think they have any suspects yet.

Police have discovered a body in South Chicago Heights not far from where a missing woman had planned to go jogging.

Police would not confirm whether the body was that of Alma Mendez, 39, who has been missing since she left her Chicago Heights home to go jogging in the Sauk Trail Woods at 26th Street and Euclid Avenue in neighboring South Chicago Heights on Sunday.

The body was discovered Tuesday afternoon along the shore of Sauk Lake in Sauk Trail Woods near 26th Street in South Chicago Heights. Just before 6 p.m. the Cook County Medical Examiner removed the body that was found along the shores of Sauk Lake earlier Tuesday. Friends and family are still awaiting word whether that is the body of the missing mother.

CHICAGO (WBBM) — A Chicago Heights mother of three who was found with her throat slashed in a south suburban forest preserve lake was officially identified by family members Wednesday.

Cook County Sheriff’s Police Investigators have confirmed that a family member has identified the body found at Sauk Trail Woods on Tuesday as that of missing jogger Alma Mendez, 38, of Chicago Heights.

  48. Yeah, but if one doesn’t know how to get a man, knows nothing… no matter how much that one gets diggin’ in other people’s lives the bottle is at the end of the road not a man. Kids can’t help, may make the matter worse cuz some men are mean and don’t appreciate “luggage”. .

  49. futatestalin, are you talking about someone in particular?

Your statements are very broad. To say that every woman who without a man becomes an alcoholic doesn’t make sense. Obviously that’s not the case.

  50. futatestalin, maybe it would be good if you just came out with it all. Tell us about your ‘friend’ and we’ll listen. It’s slow.

  51. I think futatestalin is refering to that poster known as the Sybil of the chat boards. Lots and lots of nics.

  52. Oh, I’ve seen mention of the mulit-nic lady but I must not go to enough boards to know who it is.

    I’m dum.

  53. iknoweverythinglol // June 6, 2008 at 5:27 pm

I think she lives in canada.
    *********************

Bah, I still don’t know who that is. But, maybe it’s better not knowing.

At least now I know better now than to try to reply to futatestalin as if we are having a conversation.

    Thank you, IKELOL

  54. Amanda, I wouldn’t dream of it. I don’t care who that person is. On the contrary, I’m a little annoyed that our friend here is glutting the thread with digs at someone.

  55. facs noway that every woman without a man is bottle lady; you got it wrong… quite the opposite

facs that woman is not my friend, is everybody’s stalker. Pray you’ll never meet her. She thinks that if she goes into everyone’s life she’ll meet lots of people out of her area (they all know her there) one of them will stick with her….eyeroll…. some people I know were telling me that recently the man-less stalker poked her nose into their lives. I was sick to hear it cuz I knew she’s doing this… no man or women are safe around her…
    name : man-less stalker;

  56. iknoweverythinglol // June 6, 2008 at 5:27 pm

I think she lives in canada.

    $$$$$$$

Noway! 20 somethin’ million people.. not enough fo’ her.

  57. Who’s a multi-nic lady? Is that someone who posts here? Okay, I’m not in the loop today. Someone tell me what’s going on.

  58. futatestalin, if you have an issue with someone who posts here, why don’t you take it up with them? You’ve been so oblique that I didn’t even know what you were trying to do. That doesn’t seem very effective.

At least the people who come here and dump on some other person tend to do it with a hit and run and then get out. Although I don’t respect it, it shows more manners than sitting on the board and interrupting conversations with a phony persona slinging surreptitious digs.

Think of poor gatehouse who has to come through and delete it all. 😦

  59. futatestalin, if you think I care about your personal issues with other people, you are wrong. I suggest you take it to that person and leave the rest of us out of it.

  60. facs, you said it was slow so I was speaking what a man that doesn’t pay child support can do. A dude like this makes some chicks very bitter , like the woman i was talkin’ about, that’s all. You don’t have to get defensive…

  61. Hi all, was out of town last night and tried to post on my laptop but I believe it fell into spam? Anyhow…sorry a day late, but this was my thoughts in regards to the recent news article:
I tell ya’….not sure if everyone will agree with me or not …but here goes.

  62. men need to take resposability and pay child support so the rest of us can have a happy life without man-less stakers in our closets.

  63. I’m all for supporting the family personally, but I give the media free rein to cover the story as they like. As long as they don’t fabricate any of the facts, I’m fine with letting them do their jobs.

  64. Nice talkin’ to you people! Got to go out now… party time…. It’s Friday …. yupppyyyy!!!
    See you tomorrow…

  65. Digging into each and every person (Kim Matuska) Drew knows is just the same as the reports about Yelton. Lord above. At Annies and elsewhere they dug and dug and dug, even if a person was mentioned in connection with Drew.

Look at the Who’s Who list on kimmers forum, that is huge. All the players in the game.

Yelton just is one of the more interesting. I saw a question out there about where he lived in Feb/March 04. I’m guessing it was NOT a motorhome, it gets freakin cold. But still, interesting to think out of the box.

  66. Well, ok. Lets me state it this way. Yesterday somebody said that Cassandra was a liar. Is that fair? Why was she lying? Because everyone now knows that Bruce and she are living together? What if due to the situation with Stacy that Cassandra and Bruce bonded and started a relationship? Why does it have to be a “lie”? Perhaps at the time when Stacy went missing Bruce WAS just a friend…and now has grown into something more. Right?

  67. As for Yelton’s record…and such, to me it’s not news. Other than perhaps he may be called to the GJ in regards to testimony about what he knows of relationships between drew and stacy and drew and kathleen…I don’t see him having any other kind of role that is newsworthy.

  68. I don’t think Cassandra is a liar at all. That pain in her eyes you can’t fake.

She and Bruce are adults, and iirc, they have lived together for a long time. Also, just because the media says something, it doesn’t mean it’s the absolute truth, they don’t do their homework, far from it.

  69. Stacy’s family has had so much tragedy in their lives. If Cassandra has grown close to Bruce, I wish them happiness.

  70. was bruce a family friend or what ,Iam glad she has someone .. I just don’t understand why people make a big deal out of a fiend becoming a boyfiend ya know…

  71. Howdy! Nothing new to report. Since all is quiet on the GJ front, I’ve just been putzing around in my veggie and flower gardens- these long hours of sunlight are heaven for my wee plants. Should have a bumper crop of veggies and flowers this year.

How are all of you folks doing?

  72. Good evening everyone.

Basherette, I was worried about you. Glad to see you! What about Lizanne?

  73. Sorry about that Rescue! The weather has been so crappy the last few weeks, so yesterday and today being sunny happily lured me away from my computer. I think we get 4 more days of this before winter sets in… (just kidding! 🙂 )

Lizanne was dodging the bad intentions and unwanted attentions of an internet stalker last time I talked with her. I’ll send her a PM to see how she’s doing now.

  74. Hmmm… well, she made a post over at SYM today. I sent her a PM. Hopefully she’s doing well and happily living a stalker troll-free life now. Internet stalkers should be shot.

  75. Can anyone here tell me what the web address of this SYM place. I tried google it and got waayyy too many hits. Thank You

  76. Hey kids, I think I’m good now. Thought I’d have to back out for a while, but nipped my troubles in the bud.

My husband said I was giving out too much info, and apparently he was right. I am naive on the I/N things. He also warned that DP, if he were a truly bad cop, could just send someone over for me if he wanted too. I thinks he gives the guy too much credit, but we’ve got kids.

But in case I disappear for real, come looking for me!

  77. I was wondering, Bash, what king of garden you could grow up there, your season is longer but cooler? Can you do tomatoes and peppers or just flowers and salad stuff?

Didn’t see your PM yet, just in and out there. Professor Brodsky posted about the hearsay law. I think it’ll take some disecting to figure it out. Like the concealed gun reference, I am not sure how much of his case law that is referenced is pertinent.

  78. Not sure if this will go to registering page, but you do need to register to read.
