I respect your right to love your country – just as we love ours! Nothing in this world is perfect; but we use perfection as our goal. I would not travel to any other country – ours is beautiful and free! I feel as safe in the US as a person can be in this world. Thanks for sharing; have a great day.

  2. We woke up to a big storm here. Wind hit the house so hard that the whole house shook and we were sure a tree had fallen on it or something. It turns out we do have a large branch down in the back yard and a wire. Police and fire have been out and helped move the branch so we can at least leave our yard. It’s probably a cable line so we’re working on getting that cleaned up now.
    Mother Nature is amazing!

As for travelling to other countries, I have and I recommend it to anyone. There’s no better way to learn about the people we share this planet with.

i am half american & the amount of violent crimes scares me. i worry about my children when they are here. freedom comes with a price – i rather be safe than be dead or lose anyone in my family or friends to homicide. it is good to be proud of your country. my country has a lot of things which i don’t like but i am happy with the safety. i certainly do not feel safe in usa even though my relatives live in very nice, wealthy suburban areas & each time i stay here i live with them. but to each his own. i guess violent crimes has become a way of life for many. americans are very resilient & stoic. so much lethal weather, so much problems, & yet they remain upbeat & proud. that is a great quality – a virtue i must say. my country could take a leaf from americans – they have such a great sense of national identity & pride despite all the tragedies & adversities they face….

  4. wildspicyrice, I wouldn’t lump all Americans together and assign the same qualities to all.

People are individuals and have their own beliefs and characteristics. The country is large. Some areas have high crime but most areas do not. I sometimes think that the foreign markets are overly influenced by our television shows and movies and mistakenly believe that our real life is like that.

As for weather and natural disasters, doesn’t every area of the planet have their own issues to deal with? Typhoons, monsoons, tsunamis, drought, earthquakes, floods, tornadoes – I wouldn’t say the US fares any worse or better than any other part of the world when it comes to that.

  5. Hi everyone! Happy Fathers Day as it applies!

We’re setting up the pool today … under what is probably a false assumption that the snow has ended until August. 🙂

good morning peeps.. I hear quincy ILL is flooding cause of those leves in the other states are comming over or down there. maybe stacy will get loose ….. or something

  7. Rivers here are close to flood stage. My prayers for everyone whose homes are in danger.

On the news, I saw a house at Lake Delton (?) being torn off its foundation … a complete and total loss.

I think it would be hard to tell yourself “it’s just stuff” even though you would be happy to have your lives. “Stuff” is a part of our lives too.

  8. Weird thought here, but with all the rain and flooding here, maybe her body will dislodge from where ever he put her and float out to the open?

~sigh~ I hope so…..nobody deserves to die like that and then the family continue to suffer.

This monster will get what he deserves, if not in life then of course, when he meets our Maker

this is what one got of stacy .. your thoughts

  9. Lug, it’s crossed my mind that these “acts of God” might bring home several the missing people in the Illinois area.

Perhaps some good can come of the awful flooding situation and the earthquakes Illinois has been experiencing.

  10. I thought it was so odd for Lake Delton to have emptied out that I did some research. It was a man-made lake, created as a home to a water show. I wonder if any of the property-owners on the lake have got a law suit in the works.

    Lugnut, Im thinking PIGS!
    +++++++++++++++++++
I know this wasn’t directed to me, but I was just wondering why you were thinking about pigs??

What does “this is what one got of Stacy” mean? I’ll try to share my thoughts on it when you explain it to me. 😀 Sorry, I just didn’t understand what you meant, but it’s been a long Father’s Day entertaining lots of fathers around here.

  13. I believe anything is possible, and pigs eat everything. He is cocky for a reason in not finding her.I also enquired the best way to get rid of a body and not get caught, and I got my answer…

  14. response of facsmiley

eh regarding the weather in my country, no this place is warm & sunny all year round with lots of humidity…hahaha interspersed with two rainy spells. but the flooding here is mild. but we complain a lot about our weather – it is hot & bright plus we have sudden showers in the afternoon – which elicit a lot of complaints but actually they are just convectional rain and they are nice way to cool the day down. we have no typhoons, tornadoes, hurricanes, hailstones, you name it, we don’t have it. see i love my country! my husband loves it too & he is american.

  15. cfs, good questions!

I figured Lug was half-asleep and that we’d get an explanation later … but the pig comment completely confused me.

I don’t follow NASCAR, so I thought it had something to do with that! 😉

Wild, what country is “your country” … sounds like we’d all like to visit there. So Eden-like.

  16. Morning Noway. I asked Wild that question too, but she hasn’t answered it. Maybe she doesn’t want us there. 😀 Just kidding all.

  17. cfs, yes, I saw that you had asked and thought I missed the answer so I read back through. I think she didn’t realize that she didn’t answer.

I feel bad for anyone forced to stay in the U.S. (or anywhere for that matter) when they don’t like it. Makes for a miserable vacation.

  18. cfs, you are right – it is singapore. but trust me we have our share of problems – but bad weather is not one of them…plus we have real spicy food here…hence my moniker – wildspicyrice. we have many ways of cooking our rice and we have hundreds of different rice dishes & thousands of dishes to eat with rice & i am one big rice bin….welcome to singapore. hahaha

  19. i don’t find america safe but i do like visiting all the touristy spots in america….hahaha like any true blue tourists. i enjoyed my short visits to america because i shopped till i dropped when i was there plus my husband indulges me a lot. muahahahaha.

  20. Apart from Monaco, Singapore is the most densely populated country in the world, with 6,430 people per square kilometre.

I like the population of Montana much better …
2006 estimated population 944,632 … in 2000 that was 6.2 people per square mile. lol

    Big Sky Country … 🙂

  21. noway406

oh hahahaha besides admiring the national pride americans have for their country, i also admire their versatility. my husband has yellow brown hair. so i thought of colouring my hair blonde to match his although he is not blonde & he said no – he likes black hair…i think he is very versatile. but for me i find his hair colour takes getting used to. chinese are not so versatile maybe….esp with hair colours…haha

  22. i have not been to montana yes america has a lot of big open spaces. singapore is one concrete jungle with lots of animals of different colours of hair & skin…very multi-racial…

  23. Wild, I just want to compliment you on your excellent voccabulary and grammar. Your express yourself better than many Americans. 😀

  24. The concrete jungle does not appeal to me but the beaches do (and the mostly sunny weather)!

Sorry to get everyone so off topic from the Drew Peterson/Stacy Peterson case!

What do you hear about the cameras at Sharon’s? Are they ISP or LE … or are they all Sharon?

IMO … Sharon’s. But she is willing to share anything she sees with LE. 🙂

  25. I also think that she has enough of her property in the range of the camera to not be an infringement of any expected privacy of Drew’s.

    IMO
(or the irrational ravings of a crazy person) 😀 Has more zing than IMO!

  26. No Dear, lol. The FBI was said to have paid Sharon a visit, but it really wasn’t the FBI. The cameras are probably Sharon’s, but other people think they belong to LE.

  27. Have I confused you enough yet? Guess I shouldn’t have replied. I do think they are probably Sharon’s, and it’s just another “something” that Sharon has done to get in Drew’s craw, according to some people. Just my opinion. The people who are complaining don’t even know what the cameras capture, only that they seem to be pointing to Drew’s property. Guess we’ll all know soon enough if LE responds to Joel’s letter.

  28. IMO … Sharon’s. But she is willing to share anything she sees with LE.
    *****************************

    I’m of the same opinion.

  29. Imagine three stick people, one male, two female. Labeled as “FBI people visit Sharon.”

Then “stick” camera … labeled “LE camera?”

    lol
    😀

    Like I told you, a career in Hollywood awaits! 😀 😀 😀

  31. I don’t see how jb can do ANYTHING about the cameras. As long as no one is on DP’s property taking pictures it is no invasion of privacy. jb is blowing smoke again.

  32. Yeah – I’m sort of seeing it as justification for the retainer that DP is paying JB. He has to look like he’s doing *something*.

There’s no way he can prove that they are LE cameras (and for the record, I don’t think they are – it’s so much simpler legally for Sharon to mount them). It’s perfectly legal for a homeowner to put up security cameras and since they aren’t directed into private areas of DP’s home (i.e., windows) he’s got no beef. Those cameras aren’t looking at anything she couldn’t see standing in her own front or back yards.

  33. Facs, I think the camera “thing” is just something else to bring more negative attention to Sharon, while at the same time getting Drew back in the news…..as a victim.

I saw a copy at the store yesterday but it had no dp news on the front so I assumed I had missed it.

I don’t buy them, so I don’t know how often they update them. You may have missed it.
