  1. I am praying that DP has said something that leads investigators to find Stacy and that she is brought home to her family soon.
Thank you again Len and Paula, investigators and family and friends of Stacy and Kathline Peterson. Lenny your Dad is smiling.
If you want to catch a criminal you have to find their weakness….
    Drew’s is so obvious.

SENSATIONAL ACCUSATIONS FLY AS EX-PETERSON PALS FACE THE MEDIA.

BOLINGBROOK — The couple claiming they spied on Drew Peterson for nearly seven months and recorded his conversations for the cops said Thursday that Peterson “disposed” of what they believe was evidence during a visit to their home in December.

“He disposed of things in my presence on my property,” said Paula Stark, who with her husband, Len Wawczak, said she wore a wire at the behest of the state police and surreptitiously recorded Drew Peterson’s conversations.

Drew Peterson gets into his SUV at his Bolingbrook home. His former friends Paula Stark and Len Wawczak said Thursday that Peterson disposed of something that may have been evidence at their home.

Stark said her husband was not home when Peterson showed up at her residence. She declined to specify what exactly Peterson got rid of or how he did it.

“(Peterson) knows what he disposed of at my house,” Stark said. “That’s on the tape, and that’s something I won’t take to my grave.”

Stark and Wawczak, who had avoided the media through Wednesday, granted numerous interviews and allowed television crews into their home Thursday.

Geraldo Rivera’s brother and show correspondent, Craig Rivera, flew in from New York to meet with the couple in the afternoon.

    Posing as Ashley
Also Thursday, Wawczak admitted to carrying on a fake romance with Peterson over the Internet, posing as a young woman named Ashley.
Peterson’s attorney, Joel Brodsky, questioned what would motivate Wawczak to pretend to be a woman while chatting online with Peterson. Brodsky also said that while he did distrust Wawczak, he was not convinced he or Stark actually wore wires for the state police.

Brodsky said he first grew suspicious of Wawczak in March, when the couple said state police confiscated a gun Peterson had given them after his firearm owner’s identification card was revoked. They later said they surrendered the gun to state police themselves.

“Oh yeah, I knew he was a snitch from the time the whole gun thing went down,” Brodsky said.

    Claim contradicted
Wawczak said he was not bothered by Brodsky’s comments.
“I know what we have,” Wawczak said. “Drew knows what we have too.”

Wawczak also called Peterson a liar, saying the former Bolingbrook police officer’s claim that he’d arrested Wawczak regularly was not true. Wawczak said Peterson never arrested him, which police Lt. Ken Teppel corroborated.

Teppel, however, said he arrested Wawczak one time himself, picking him up on a disorderly conduct charge in 1999.

    Hi everyone. More wow.

This piece I’ve copied here has given me my new favourite Slobsky quote.

“Oh yeah I knew he was a snitch from the time the whole gun thing went down”

He wants to be like Drew when he grows up.

One day Tom and Kris will understand and thank the wronged little boy who helped to fix the wrong that was done to them.

Have a good day everybody. X

  3. Let’s hope Paula retreived whatever DP “disposed” at her house.
Looks like ISP wants a confession.
    Putting the pressure on…………..!

Those bags are just going to get bigger under your eyes with each new lie.
Tell us where you put her DP! Do the right thing for your kids for once.

  4. I’ve just watched yesterday’s videos of DP and JB again. I can’t for the life of me think why JB still thinks this is a good idea. It REALLY looks like JB continuing to promote himself and HIS “big payday”
    But
    Guess what
NOBODY wants to read YOUR book, joel.

ps another thought on d’s eye. D’ya think he’s overdosed on the sunbed?

    pps Drew and Lenny sittin in a tree k. i .s. s. i .n .g…

  5. “Wawczak also called Peterson a liar, saying the former Bolingbrook police officer’s claim that he’d arrested Wawczak regularly was not true. Wawczak said Peterson never arrested him, which police Lt. Ken Teppel corroborated.”

    WHAT? Drew LIED? Shocking. 😯
    NOT!

He has really lost it. Saying stuff like that is so easy to check. 🙄

  6. Good Morning,

I wonder….I have another GJ question if anyone here knows…..When the GJ is done with witness testimony do they announce that and the fact that they are going to start to deliberate ?
Anyone know how that works ?

  7. http://www.state.il.us/Court/CircuitCourt/Jury/GrandJuror.asp

    Indictments

When the witnesses have finished their testimony, it is then your duty to weigh the evidence which has been presented and to decide whether the evidence is sufficient to require the person or persons named to stand trial and answer the charge. The grand jury is the sole judge of the sufficiency of the evidence required to indict.

After hearing the evidence and discussing the case among yourselves, the foreperson will exclude everyone except the grand jurors from the grand jury room and call for a vote. If 9 or more jurors vote to require the defendant to stand trial for the offense, the State’s Attorney will prepare a Bill of Indictment to be signed by the foreperson and returned into open Court. If the grand jury by its vote refuses to hold the defendant for trial, the Prosecutor may prepare a written memorandum to such effect, entitled, “No Bill.”
    ______________
I don’t know but it doesn’t sound like they need to make an announcement … they just do it.

  8. Note to Self:

Defense attorney’s get to use terms like ‘snitch’. Prosecution would never gt to use such a great word.

  9. Has anyone heard anything about the body that was found in Stickney, IL? It was scrolling on Chicago Fox this morning and they said they found it last night and there will be an autopsy preformed today. I have checked MyFoxChicago.com, and cannot find anything in print about it. I am not sure, but I thought the remains were at a water reclamation plant.

Bond maintained for former Waukegan cop

    July 25, 2008Recommend

    News-Sun staff report
A bond reduction has again been rejected for the ex-Waukegan police officer accused of raping a woman while on duty.

Earlier this week the Second Judicial District Appellate Court in Elgin denied a request by Delatwan Haynes’ attorney to lower a $2 million bond.

The one-paragraph ruling submitted to Lake County courts Wednesday simply said the motion to reduce bond was denied.

Haynes’ attorney, Joel Brodsky, filed the motion with the appellate court after a bond reduction was denied in Lake County court. In his appeals, Brodsky sites the alleged victim’s admitted drug use, along with Haynes’ clean criminal record and his role as lone bread-winner, as reason for a reduction.

Haynes, 32, of Zion, was arrested in late June, following allegations that he groped and assaulted a Waukegan woman in a vacant Lewis Avenue parking lot, while he worked the midnight shift this January. He resigned from the department days after the allegations surfaced, and has since pleaded not guilty to four counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, one count of aggravated kidnapping, two counts of aggravated sexual abuse and eight counts of misconduct.

  15. I wondered…..How long before Dp would get to
    confront Lenny.Well I sure didn’t have to
wait too long to find out.

I have a bad feeling about this case right now
things seem to be heating up real fast. I worry
that DP is a walking ticking time bomb
and I pray to God his children remain
safe and unharmed during all this tragedy.
So very very very sad. BBL this is just too much for me right now. Happy Blogging

  16. Wonderwoman, I hate it too, and really wish the revelation of the tapes and Ashley had been done by LE intead of Lenny and Paula, mainly for their protection. When Lenny was talking about Drew coming on to Paula, I just knew he was going to counter back with “I slept with your wife” and try to bring them down and drive them apart. He’s just that kind of a person, and will stoop to saying or doing anything to hurt other people for his benefit.

  17. “Peterson kept his cool as neighbor and former friend Len Wawczak ambushed him in the parking lot, hurling obscenities as gawkers egged him on.

“I’ll beat the [expletive] out of you!” Wawczak yelled. “You ain’t nothing but a murderer. Say something!”

“Hit me,” Peterson replied. “I’m going down.”

After Wawczak kept yelling, Peterson turned around and Wawczak pushed him in the back. Peterson later said his back hurt.”

Forgive me, but the last sentence has me laughing so hard that I’m tearing up. I can’t stop!

“Cops: Drew Peterson, ex-friend scuffle outside barbershop

Former pal said this week he wore wire to record conversations

By Matthew Walberg | Chicago Tribune reporter

    4:12 PM CDT, July 25, 2008

Bolingbrook police were investigating a scuffle between Drew Peterson and his erstwhile friend Len Wawczak outside a barbershop Friday afternoon.

According to police, Wawczak — who claimed this week to have secretly recorded Peterson for Illinois State Police in their investigation of the 2004 death of Peterson’s third wife and October disappearance of his current wife — encountered Peterson outside Hyroglyphics Barber Shop sometime after 2 p.m.

“They got into an argument in the parking lot,” Lt. Ken Teppel said in a written statement. “They are both at the police station giving their statements. Each [is] claiming one pushed the other.”

Teppel said investigators were talking to witnesses and that no charges had been filed and neither man was under arrest…”

  19. BTW, the tribune article has the most up to date info.

Apparently Drew has been released and Len is being charged with a misdemeanor.

I’ve seen reports saying that Len pushed Drew from behind. Brodsky is saying that Len punched Drew.

Either way, Len what were you thinking?

  20. Hi everybody.

Oh, boy, this is one couple of witnesses that is going to give LE the heevie jeevies. What a stupid thing to do. The only good part is thinking Drew was scared for his safety, for a change.

I hope LE has info on those tapes that helped them develop evidence, because I’d be beating the crap out of Len about now.

  21. There’s been a few different media versions of what happened with the fight between Len and DP, along with various details in each.

From what I’ve read so far, while getting a haircut, DP supposedly gave ‘dirty looks’ to Len’s 20 year old son, who was also there. Len waited outside between a couple of cars, for DP to come out. They had words, there were witnesses. Supposedly DP was egging Len on, even supposedly saying, ‘go ahead, hit me’, and the part about having had sex with Paula.

Media says DP kept his cool. Uh huh, I believe that. Also believe he was using his words and dirty looks to get Len pissed off enough to hit him. I figure DP very likely said something to piss Len off even more, then turned his back and walked off.

Len didn’t have to hit DP, no. Wish for his sake that he could have seen what DP was very likely trying to do.

Interesting that there was someone with a camera handy. Wonder if they also caught whatever it was DP was saying to piss Len off, and the tone he used?

Also interesting is that DP at one point supposedly yelled to the witnesses, ‘call the cops, call the cops’, and none of them would. Hahaha! DP had to call them himself. 😀

IMO <—, if someone eggs someone else on to the point of hitting someone else, that person needs to take responsibility for starting the fight, and share in whatever consequences same as the one who actually throws the punch.

This is soooooooo OMG 9th grade stuff, between two grown men! sigh.

Wasn’t it said somewhere, at some point, that Len and Paula had been placed in protective custody?

  22. The only good part is thinking Drew was scared for his safety, for a change.

    _________________________________

He wasn’t scared for his safety – he’s just smarter than Lenny.

  23. I just watched it on Ch. 2 news, where Len was interviewed. He explained his reasons for being there to confront Peterson, as was reported. He was charged with simple battery, $100 bond.

Said his court date is 9/10, but he said Peterson won’t be around to appear in court against him. 🙂

Guess he’s pretty confident about that, LOL.

  24. Well….. I just think this whole thing has made the situation heated.

Drew is clearly po’d at Lenny. I’m sure that getting caught with your pants down (PUN INTENDED) in a public manner made Drew pretty mad.

Lenny mad at Drew for killing two wives.

Something along the line of Drew taunting Len’s kid, and maybe Len trying to let it go, until DP had to bring Paula into it.

I would also have to wonder how they came to be in the same place at the same time.

Then again, who the hell am I. 😕

  25. Evening all –

I watched abc 7 news, and they interviewed the Chief of Police. He stated they recieved a call from the ISP that there was a fight, and they sent officers and a supervisor to the scene. Both Drew and Len agreed to go to the police department. Independent witnesses were interviewed and the charges were against Len.

Then Len couldn’t keep his mouth shut. He corrected the Chief and said, “I shoved him twice, not once.” Said he would do it again, and the next time it would be state charges.

So Len and Drew have a lot in common, neither can keep their mouths shut.

  26. Yes, HJ. He said his son, 20, called Paula and told her he was intimated by Peterson, Len got wind of it and went over there. Paula is the one who called the cops.

What do you want to bet now that there’s going to be a war of words coming out? It’s startin’. Bet we’re going to be hearing a lot more of what’s on those tapes!

  27. Hey Gatehouse!

Do you know who the reporter was that told lenny that Drew said he slept with Paula?

  28. Rescue, did he say on CBS that the son called Paula?

Just asking because on ABC he said his son called him, and he asked his son if they thought Drew was messing with him.

  29. Yeah, I saw him on the news say that, HJ. Also reported that Brodsky told Peterson not to make any statements afterwards.

  30. LTTBF – Ch 2 said Len overheard convo with Paula. Don’t know if he then talked to the kid, but he went to Drew’s location specifically to confront him for messing with his kid.

  31. It was the best hundred bucks I’ve spent. I would do it again,” Wawczak said.

By Stacey BacaBOLINGBROOK (WLS) — Drew Peterson and the man who claims he secretly taped him are both at the Bolingbrook police station this afternoon after the two got into a fight. It happened outside a barbershop and spilled into the parking lot of a strip mall.
Police say Len Wawczak and Peterson got into an altercation and police had to be called to the scene.
Earlier this week, Wawczak and his wife, Paula Stark, said that they wore wires to secretly record Peterson, who they say talked about the death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio, and his missing fourth wife, Stacy.

Peterson is a suspect in her disappearance but has not been charged. Bolingbrook Police Chief Ray McGury said Wawczak, who recorded conversations with Drew Peterson over a seven-month period, was the one who is walking away with a ticket. McGury said at about 1:30 p.m. Friday, police received a call from the Illinois State Police that two people were in a verbal altercation at a barber shop. “We responded to the scene, patrol officers and a supervisor, at which point there was no observable battery or any issues between the two, other than some shouting back and forth,” McGury said. The chief said police began interviewing witnesses.
“We started getting statements. Both Mr. Wawczak and Mr. Peterson agreed to come down to the police department to sort it out. In taking some of the statements, independent witnesses came forward and stated that Mr. Wawczak allegedly had shoved Mr. Peterson in the back at least one time. Based on that information and based upon an interview with Mr. Wawczak, he was charged with a local ordinance charge of battery,” McGury said.
Wawczak was charged with a misdemeanor and paid a $100 bond. “He will come back here in September and plead guilty or not guilty to the charges,” McGury said. Wawczak walked out of the police department just after 4:30 p.m. He explained how the confrontation began.

“It started with my son, Colin, calling home and letting us know that he was in a barber shop that Drew had come into to get a haircut and was staring my son down, giving him dirty looks. I said, ‘Do you feel he is starting with you?’ He said, ‘No, but he is trying to intimidate me,'” Wawczak said. Wawczak said he wanted to let Drew Peterson know he could not “mess with my family, not my kids, not Paula, not nobody.”
Wawczak said this was the first time he’d seen Drew Peterson since revealing he and his wife had worn wires during recent conversations with Drew. He said he doesn’t regret the confrontation. “Absolutely, I pushed him twice, not once. I don’t have a problem with that. Like I said, it was the best hundred bucks I’ve spent. I would do it again,” Wawczak said. Wawczak said he doesn’t have a problem with Drew Peterson and Peterson’s lawyer, Joel Brodsky, trying to slam him or his wife because “that is their technique.” “They can continue to do it, and I’m sure this will fuel the fire for them. I’m good with that. What I’m not good with and won’t be, is trying to intimidate one of my kids. So, if him and Joel continue to do what they are doing, which is slander me and Paula, it is OK. We can battle it out in court. If they try to intimidate one of my three kids, you will be back here again. I expect next time I will get a state charge instead of a local charge because next time I will knock his [expletive] out,” Wawczak said.
Drew Peterson’s attorney, Joel Brodsky briefly stated that Drew had been ambushed. Drew Peterson also left the police department Friday afternoon.

  32. Ok I got it now. It sounds like both Len and Paula might have been at home when the call came in.

  33. Facs, I also hope that.

I’m in the middle of a move, so I haven’t been online much. But have been following as much as I can.

  34. Move? Yuk. I hope I never have to move. The thought of packing up 30 years of stuff just does nothing for me.

  35. Anyone have any idea why the ISP was called instead of the standard 911?

Is it possible Paula was there and called the ISP?

  36. Rescue, I know what you are saying.

I have 22 years worth. I’m getting movers, but there is still that stuff you want to move yourself, so it’s been a crazy week.

If I make it through next Wednesday, all will be well….lol.

  37. Their son called home, and Paula called ISP, while Len headed to the barber shop. ISP called BBPD, and they handled it.

  38. Wow, the Chief just brought up something interesting.

How was it that a newspaper reporter just happened to be there, with a camera?

  39. rescueapet // July 25, 2008 at 5:55 pm

Move? Yuk. I hope I never have to move. The thought of packing up 30 years of stuff just does nothing for me.
    ************************

I’ve moved 6 times in the last nine years. it’s good for cleaning out closets. 😉

I’m planning on staying in this house for 10 years though. Real Estate market better have picked up by then!

  40. 6x moving? OMG. Facs, you need to stay put, yes, for a while.

We had our hardwood floors uncovered, sanded and varnished last year, and it was as close to moving as I want to get. It was the pits.

Anyway, I expect this will all be getting more and more entertaining. Like McGury said, just another chapter in a horror story.

  41. This is funny what Brodsky said about the rumor Peterson supposedly said about him and Paula:

“I don’t know, I don’t want to know, I don’t need to know,” Brodsky said. “All I know is that my client is at home, and the state’s confidential informant is charged with misdemeanor battery.”

Maybe he’s getting weary of it all too!

  42. I never thought I’d say this but I think I feel the same as Brodsky. I’ve kind of hit my saturation point.

Rescue, are you on a laptop by chance?

  43. Just heared on WGN that Len’s son works at that barber shop. How many barber shops are in Boilingbrook? Did DP have to go to that shop?
I think he was asking for trouble.

  44. I think men are a lot like women as far as barber’s go. Once they find one they like, good luck having them find someone else.

  45. I just saw a clip on one of the news stations that showed DP riding his motorcycle today with a “friend of 17 years.” From a quick glance, I guess it looked like Robinson. Who else would it be. Must be okay, though, since I’m sure DP did a sound check on him.

    Oh, the drama.

    Enough, already.

  46. I knew DREW would be up to no good and starting things like words as he did … I believe LEN and Paula are getting angtouse (excuss the miss spellings) about drew and what they did .

BUT when DREW involves kids in this mess , Ya gotta protect them . they are innocent … ya know… I don’t blame LEN at all this was going to happen and I believe the ISP KNEW about that going to happen…..

I also THOUGHT DREW was going to go on VAcation with the kids….. I believe drew is doing the poor me thingy .. as always…

MY mom in law stuck up for her sons all 5of them… and did the same thing as len did ….. and she started on the mom for going after one of her sons … and both had to go to court for this .. along time ago ….. but drew is a dufus for wanting confontation .. he knew this would get TO LEN BIG TIME … and len wants to talk more and get everything off his chest , he is angry for what drew did and is doing to those kids of his…. do I make sense…

  47. Oh and Len is a bit mistaken, even if Drew is arrested and sitting in Jail, they will make sure he can get to that court date.

  48. Noway, isn’t that so sad!!!!

I loved his speech and book, what an inspiration he was to so many.

God Bless him, and his family!!!

  49. “I mean I don’t know how to not have fun. I’m dying and I’m having fun. And I’m going to keep having fun every day I have left. Because there’s no other way to play it,” he said in his Carnegie Mellon lecture. “You just have to decide if you’re a Tigger or an Eeyore. I think I’m clear where I stand on the great Tigger/Eeyore debate. Never lose the childlike wonder. It’s just too important. It’s what drives us.”

According to the owner of the barbershop, Ernest Brown, Drew came in for a haircut … but doesn’t it seem that he ALREADY had his hair cut since he last appeared on television … was it only yesterday?
    ——————————————-
I believe Drew went there for the very reason to start trouble. He loves this drama, this is exciting to him.

I applaud Lenny for sticking up for his son, that IS what a man does!

Not laugh at the fact that he has two dead wives & neglect his kids & make a fool out of them with his actions.

Go Lenny, but be careful, Drew is looking to get you in trouble. I’m sure this is “old hat” to him, he learned it years ago as a dirty cop!

  51. I agree luvpups … especially since the barbershop owner says the shop was too crowded and Drew was referred to another barbershop.

So… when did he get his hair cut? Did he pop over to another barbershop and *then* was confronted by Ashley, er, I mean Lenny?

    😉

  52. Remember how they tried to discredit Amber Frey? Well, it doesn’t work.

No matter what the persons character who taped the conversations, it cannot change the fact that Scott P. said what he said, AND it does not change the fact that DREW said what he said on the tapes!

They can discredit Lenny & Paula all they want, the tapes will speak for themself, just as Ambers did!!!

  53. Luv, and thats the whole point, the tapes will speak for themselves, when and if we hear them.

I’m not going to take anyones word for what they say is on it.

  54. “Peterson kept his cool as neighbor and former friend Len Wawczak …
    _________________
    Neighbor?

Wonder how close they lived to each other? Anyone know?

  55. noway, I think this was a total set-up by DP. He went to that shop on purpose to start trouble.

    Lenny fell for it, unfortunately!

  56. Explain to me how the press happened to be there, can someone?

I have a feeling the press person was with Len and Paula at the time the call came in.

My personal opinion is, Len and Paula didn’t get the press they wanted, nor any major deals, so they are a bit upset. I also think they might be upset that the ISP hasn’t backed their story.

It’s one thing for them to say it happened, yet another to have the ISP back it up.

All of these people, Drew, Len, and Paula have some serious issues.

  57. The barbershop owner filmed with video camera, but I don’t know how the reporter and photographer happened to be there.

Maybe Drew invited them to go with him for his hair cut?

Maybe they were just following Drew in case a story fell in their laps.

  58. Or it was Joe Hosey with Paula and Len? They seemed to have formed quiet the friendship…just saying….:)

  59. Kind of cowardly to pick on the kid Drew. If you are pissed off at Len, that is one thing, leave his kids out of it! Can’t you leave the kids out of this crap for once?

YOU made this mess Drew. Nobody but you. The only one you should be mad at is yourself.

I have to agee here – if the son worked at the barber shop – Drew totally went there on purpose to start something. If he and Len were friends for as log as they said – Then Drew knew damn right well that it would “IRK” Lenny.

    Very cowardly. IMO.

  60. Ok it was Joe Hosey that was with Len and Paula. I say that because his article is the one with the still pictures.

  61. I might be wrong, and probably am about Paula being at there.

I do believe though that Len had Joe with him, and it was a set-up.

I did see that she picked him up though. Im curious as to why Len was taken to the station in the squad car, and Drew drove himself.

Is it possible that Len got a ride from the reporter?

  62. How many last names does Paula have, anyone know?

Im reading some documents and she is listed as Paula Stark, Paula Wawczak, and Paula Easton.

  63. LTTBF, according to one news report, Len and DP were “asked” to go to the station and make their statements, etc. Len was given a ride there in the front of a squad car and DP drove himself. According to one report anyway. 😉

  64. Thanks myst, that’s what I read also, was just curious as to why one was allowed to drive themselve, and the other in a squad car.

  65. that’s curious to me too LTTBF! also am wondering why it wasn’t a charge against DP for provoking the whole dang thing today, to start with.

this just reminds me of junior high (middle) school — when one kid provokes a fight with words, usually both kids get suspended for fighting, even when the first kid didn’t throw a punch, just provoked it.

  66. My understanding is it was independent witnesses that back up Drew’s story, and or Lenny mouth himself.

I do laugh at the picture though. Lenny is this little guy compared to Drew. Lenny has veins popping in his neck, and Drew is just looking down on him.

And come on tough guy Lenny, if you were so proud of what you did, why did he have to wait until Drew turned his back?

I do believe money is behind this somehow. Looking in even Cook County Lenny was a defendant in a case there also.

All three of them seem to be very comfortable with courtrooms.

  67. They said he was placed in the front seat of the squad car, so if he was under arrest at that point, he would have been in the back seat.

I think someone gave Lenny a ride up there, and he had no way to get to the PD on his own, hence the ride.

  68. “I do believe though that Len had Joe with him, and it was a set-up.”
    ——————————————
Are you saying it was a set-up by Len?
If so, how did he get Drew to come to the barber shop?

    That doesn’t make sense.

  69. Couldnt it be possible the son, if that is the story, walked in after Drew got there?

My personal belief is I put very little weight into Len and Paula.

They have for the longest time had some serious money issues. In my eyes, it wouldnt be beyond them to try to make a dollar off this story.

People might say it doesn’t make a difference what problems they have, or have had in the past, but I disagree. Anyone that file bankruptcy time and time again, has had their home in foreclosure, before the market started crashing, are not responsible people.

I think they are in the exact same catagory as Drew, they all belong together, and right now it seems like survival to me.

  70. Oh and Joe has a book coming out, so it didn’t hurt for him to be seen on GMA with Paula. Everyone, and I mean everyone in this case is using it from their own gain.

  71. I’m watching Fox local, and the witnesses are funny.

Fox is reporting this is about Drew sleeping with Paula.

    Who knows, silly, silly stuff.

Well, not the exact same category since he’s the only murder suspect in the bunch.

And, there’s a pending Civil Suit against the two of them, filed 4/18/08 for nearly $18,000.00

  75. Harley –

A person filing bankruptcy is one thing, it happens, but when it’s done over and over again, something is really wrong with that.

  76. Well, I just don’t see what that has to do with this case. I really don’t. Seems to me it is something to trash them about.

Just because they filed for bankruptcy, does not make whatever is on those tapes irrelevant.

    Just my opinion.

  77. I lost a post.

Harley, my concern is anything that involves them now will be picked apart by a defense team at trial. They will go to see what the motive of Len and Paula was.

My wish is everyone that is involved in this case would just keep their mouth shuts, they aren’t helping the DA’s or the ISP.

Has it been reported if the ISP went to Len and Paula, or did Len and Paula go to the ISP and offer their services?

I only ask because it’s not easy getting permission from a Judge to wire people. And for 7 months, thats a LONG time to be wearing a wire. I know on the warrants there is a time limit, and the police can go back before the Judge to get it extended, but they must have something to show the Judge.

I’m just anxious to hear what the ISP has to say about all this.

  78. Let, the ISP went to Lenny and Paula. it has been on all of the news programs and interviews. They even asked them to take polygraphs. Lenny did, Paula didn’t. Bottom line, a judge had to issue a warrant to allow it for it to be legal. Regardless of who does what in this case, ISP has the tapes now, with Drew’s conversations recorded. Nothing will change the content of the tapes, regardless of how many fights Drew and Lenny have, or whatever anyone thinks Lenny’s and Paula’s reasons might have been for agreeing to wear the wires.

We can discuss this till the cows come home, but it’s out of our hands. All we can do is wait and see what’s going to happen.

  79. cfs, I agree. It’s just like everything else with this case. We don’t know for fact anymore today then we knew months ago….yet we keep discussing it, every angle of it.

  80. And I have been watching some on this, not all. I didn’t realize the ISP has come out and said they did indeed come to Len and Paula and asked them to wear a wire.

    ISP hasn’t.

  82. No, the ISP hasn’t. Lenny and Paula said they were contacted by the ISP, which can be proven easily enough.

Ahhem… Brodsky has filed for bankruptcy.
    =================================

Wonder if Joel and his wife also have criminal issues in their background too?

  84. Just because the ISP isn’t confirming or denying is nothing new. They’ve not said much of anything about this case to the public.

  85. Ten, there have been reports of an incident, but you know what? I don’t give a hoot. Sorry. All I care about right now is whether the GJ is going to indict or not.

  86. You know I think I’m starting to see a little Tribune/Sun-Times rivalry going on here. Yesterday it was Eric Zorn questioning what was reported in the Sun-Times and today the Tribune has a few paragraphs about Hosey being on the scene and photos being up before the cops had even arrived.

    Jealous?

  87. cfs – such a good point. I think we’re all waiting for the day when there’s enough evidence for the GJ to bring Drew to trial.

  88. Boy, Len sure seems confident Peterson is going bye-bye.

Well, he knows what’s on those tapes and he knows Drew first hand, so it’ll be interesting.

Drew spent the day with his buddy, the law-abiding citizen, Mike Robinson. Good deal, Drew. Can’t find anyone without a record anymore to play with? Oh, yeah, that’s so you can slime him too some day when he rats you out. Hell, even your lawyer has a closet with some dirt in it.

    EXACTLY.

So why is it ok to surmise that Lenny’s kid works for the barber and that Drew only went there because of that and that he didn’t need a hair cut and on and on. Why is ok to do that but not ok to discuss Lenny and Paulas arrest records?
