  1. I don’t see it as a possitive for Drew the way Joel and Drew say. If Stacy was having coffee with this student on the 27th Drew probably tracked her down and seen her with him and assumed she was having an affair. Cass had dinner at Stacy’s house that night if I’m not mistaken and said that Drew came in at dinner time and just glared at Stacy and was angry with her. Maybe they had a big argument in the morning about it. To me that is a motive for murder.

  2. Blagojevich may alter timing of hearsay bill
Law could change tenor of possible Peterson trial
By Erika Slife | Chicago Tribune reporter
    11:18 PM CDT, August 21, 2008
Gov. Rod Blagojevich will likely send legislation back to lawmakers that could affect the possible prosecution of former Bolingbrook police Sgt. Drew Peterson after an oversight left out the measure’s effective date, according to the bill’s sponsor.

“The governor’s likely going to do an amendatory veto, and the amendatory veto is going to make it clear that the bill is effective immediately,” said Sen. A.J. Wilhelmi (D- Joliet). “It’s unfortunate that this got left out, but we’re making sure that the bill . . . is corrected.”

    UNREAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Well – I guess that one has to look at the silver lining of the amendatory veto. At least they caught this before signing it or else it wouldn’t be effective until July 2009. Imagine the uproar if that slipped by.

  4. Doesn’t anyone have pride in their work anymore??? Is the caliber of people so low,
that they just don’t care one way or another? Does everyone take the attitude “Let’s don’t and say we did”?? I get so discouraged by people (who should know and will act like they do) giving me information and then later I find out they don’t know and could care less. In the grocery store last week, I asked the clerk if the eggs that were stamped meant they were hard boiled (just as a joke). He said yes (and was serious).

AND…..Am I the only one who thinks it could be more than a coincidence that Stacy was killed (IMO) the day before DP’s son was to go to Mexico? (JMO)

  5. grandam // August 22, 2008 at 9:18 am

The correct spelling of Stacy’s classmate is, Mike
    Kurdenok.

    ****

OK – So exactly why did Joel release this guy’s name? Did Joel contact him and he wouldn’t meet with him or something?

  6. monklol // August 22, 2008 at 9:32 am

AND…..Am I the only one who thinks it could be more than a coincidence that Stacy was killed (IMO) the day before DP’s son was to go to Mexico? (JMO)

    ****

I personally don’t think that even Drew would be heartless enough to plan killing Stacy while his children were home and awake.

My thought is more that if he did kill her it was in a fit of rage and that he choked her which is why there would not be tons of DNA evidence. I truly think if there was DNA evidence of her death that he would absolutely have been charged already. The length of the GJ indicates that it is still a cirumstantial case IMO.

  7. thinkaboutit2– I don’t know why JB would release his name. He released it to WBBM yesterday.
Also I believe DP ‘s son went to Hawaii.

  8. Hosey wrote a story about Brodsky’s latest finding ~ snippet:

Brodsky said he spoke Thursday to Kurdenok.

“He confirmed that was his statement and that’s it,” Brodsky said. “He wouldn’t go into it any further.”

Reached Thursday, Kurdenok declined to discuss the matter.

Peterson questioned why the authorities kept quiet about the information for nearly 10 months.

“Here’s some guy I don’t even know coming forward with it and the police sitting on it,” he said. “I’ve always known what the truth was but nobody would believe me.”

    +++++
Why would Peterson question this? He was in law enforcement for 30+ years. He never heard that LE doesn’t have to share anything with their suspect until he’s charged with a crime?

  9. But the comment “his statement is his statement” could still mean his statement was his statement but we only saw a snippet of it.

Does Kurdenok HAVE to talk to Joel?? I’m not sure what the procedure is for that stuff. I’d be like – screw you man – you can cross-examine me on the witness stand!

I think though that it is completely ridiculous that Brodsky released his name for the media to now hound this guy when he lambasts anyone that goes public. He is basically forcing this guy’s hand to try to get him to divulge more information IMO. I hope this guy continues to sit back quietly and only do what he is required by the LE and the court system.

  10. He not only released his name for the media. The guy merely knew Stacy Peterson, and now Brodsky is trying to pin suspicion on him, just like he tried to do when it was discovered that Kathleen Savio’s boyfriend was compelled to appear before the GJ.

Who even listens to his crap, except that joke of a web PI?

  11. Rescue – I actually do listen to this stuff because I am still trying to hold out hope against hope that it could be true.

However, I’m smart enough to realize that since only a snippet was released that we are obviously not being told the whole story and the part we are being shown is done in a way to manipulate our thoughts.

Either way – Drew shouldn’t be pissed off at the LE about not releasing this sooner. I’m sure as an LE he did the same exact thing to people he was investigating as a suspect. He should, however, be very pissed off at the private investigators that he was supposedly paying for because a meeting like this should have been discovered by someone doing good old-fashioned police detective work of hitting the streets and talking to people questions.

  12. LOL, think. PI’s?? I thought Brodsky/Peterson’s PI is that web PI that merely publishes documents Brodsky scans over to him and then writes his biased stories.

    PI? Yeah, right.

  13. I doubt that the statement even came from Drew. It was probably written by Selig. Even Drew must be aware that no one ‘came forward’ with this information – that his lawyer came across it in the discovery documents.

And yeah, thinkaboutit, Drew certainly seems to be wasting his money on that PI!

  14. thinkaboutit2 // August 22, 2008 at 11:31 am

Rescue – I actually do listen to this stuff because I am still trying to hold out hope against hope that it could be true.
    ***************

Yeah, I agree that would be a wonderful, hopeful thing to wish for.

I don’t know, it just looks like Brodsky wants it to look as though LE is hiding the truth just to nail his client.

Hiding the truth is what happened to Kathleen. So, I don’t think that’s going to happen again, heh?

  15. I thought I’d seen that Mike Robinson’s case was “continued” (not sure if that is right word) until a later date. Will check and post here if I find it again.

  16. think – what you should do is print out that page from the link you just posted, and line a birdcage with it. Because that’s the kind of “recognition” it deserves.

    Right Paulie, nurse/rene? 🙂

  17. thinkaboutit2 – IMO nothing posted at crimefile blog is credible. Paul Huebl will write anything as long as it’s ‘controversial’. His goal is to be a Very Famour Blogger and he is playing patsy for Joel as others have done before.

  18. Well I’ve tried to post my personal rebuttal to stating something that is clearly inference as a fact. He only posts responses that he approves though so I’ll bet my comments don’t show up later.

  19. TAI2 – That’s been my experience as well. He hasn’t posted any comment from me that challenges him – no matter how politely worded.

  20. I thought it was pretty ballsy/ridiculous that yesterday he posts a PDF of the the actual document and then today he fictionalizes it.

Damn, it only takes one scroll down on his own blog to see that today’s entry is BS.

  21. Actual document?

He only posted one short paragraph. Where’s the whole document that backs up his claims?

    Farce. What a pea brain.

  22. It must tell us what we already think because otherwise Joel would definitely, absolutely, positively, beyond a shadow of a doubt have copies of it all flashing on the big boards in Time Square.

  23. Can anyone tell me whether Joel received all 12 pages of the search warrant document at the time the search warrant was issued?

Or if he was not yet the attorney of record, was this information provided to that attorney and given to Joel when he took over?

It seems to me that as Drew’s attorney, he *should* have been given this information, but I don’t know what was required of LE.

  24. noway406 // August 22, 2008 at 1:44 pm

Can anyone tell me whether Joel received all 12 pages of the search warrant document at the time the search warrant was issued?
    ***************************

Joel wasn’t Drew’s atty as of Oct 31st, so he definitely would not have had it.

The Search Warrant would have been given to Drew. But, as far as I can tell he only received the first three pages, as seen at acandyrose.

    http://www.acandyrose.com/stacy_peterson_search_warrant103107.htm

If Drew had received all 12 pages then he would have known about this CPR Mike statement since 10/31.

    I think Drew

  25. Does anyone remember what Drew actually said to Cass regarding what Stacy supposedly told him the night she disappeared?

  26. noway406 // August 22, 2008 at 1:32 pm

I do wonder what the rest of the document would tell us …

    thinkaboutit2 // August 22, 2008 at 1:39 pm

It must tell us what we already think
    **********************************

Maybe it tells us more about what Mike had to say (and not anything favorable to Drew), and possibly more statements from other witnesses that put Drew in a bad light.

For all we know the rest of that page is nothing but people stating that Stacy was terrified of Drew and that she wanted to get her kids away from him but was scared that he would kill her and make it look like an accident.

Why else would Joel make sure to obscure the remainder of that page?

  27. If I recall correctly, there was once a discussion here on WP about what Drew’s first revelations were about what Stacy “said in her phone call,” and it came out that he was not the one that said she took all that cash that has been reported, or a bikini.

Days later, he played that up more, even in Matt Layer’s interview. That would be interesting, because, by then, he may have had access to the information in that search warrant. Maybe yes, maybe no, but now this new “revelation” fits into his “theory.”

Joel didn’t really know about this, but maybe the original attorney did.

  28. The search warrant is 12 pages long. The first 3 pages are what the judge signs and says what they are looking for and what they are taking and it is the part that is given to the person the search warrant is served to.

The next 8 pages is the evidence given to the judge to justify the search. It has to be good evidence and very well backed up or else the judge will not sign it. These 8 pages are not given to the person the search is being served on at the time of the search. When charges are brought then it can be gotten through discovery.

That was one paragraph taken out of context of the justification for the search warrant. The police would not put something in the reason to get a search warrant that pointed to innocence and if they did the judge would not sign it then. There is a reason Joel blocked out what came before and after that paragraph on that page. No matter what it was you can bet your bottom dollar it was nothing that made Drew look innocent. As far as anyone knows it could be mike saying how scared Stacy was and how she told him the story of Kathleen.

  29. My comment is awaiting blog owner approval at crimefilenews.com.

Since Joel Brodsky himself said that passing or failing a polygraph was not proof of innocence or guilt, I wonder why Paul thinks this would solve the mystery on what happened to Stacy.

And isn’t making statements about Mike K. without knowing the entire testimony he provided just a little premature?

I did notice that the only comments approved so far were by Anonymous and hailed the almighty Paul. 😀

  30. Noway – Someone needs to start a crimefile2 blog where we can post all the comments that he won’t approve. 🙂

  31. Why are they making a big deal out of this? I posted last night and I can’t believe that Drew, Joel and the media are making such a big deal out of nothing. If any woman is leaving that has been abused, scared, harassed, stalked and fears for her life-I know that I would tell my friend to clean out what you can, grab the kids and run-do not use your credit cards b/c DP has access to this information. I guess DP, JB must be needing a little attention 😉

  32. Noway – point well taken. Most of his stuff can be picked apart by anyone with common sense. It just goes to show you how biased and slanted his blog is. It appears to be solely at the behest of Joel Brodsky that he posts anything Peterson related.

How can a former cop himself call Peterson nothing more than a lousy husband when it’s been reported that he exposed an undercover drug agent to Bindy Rock. Doesn’t Paul know that Drew’s former partner on the BBPD, Alex Morelli, no longer has anything to do with him and said Drew has turned his whole life upside down?

Doesn’t it appear that Paul does no research of his own and merely prints what Brodsky tells him to?

  33. Something really strange happened. 😕 I found a CBS article that had information regarding the 28 page report that was obtained and shown on CBS news. They also had a video of the report and zoomed in on some of the pages, it was 28 pages! I saved the link to post it and I watched that video about 10 times the other day ( I have been gone since then) The article is still there but the video went POOF!! Hmmmm….something is very fishy. I promise you that it was there…CBS-what happened??? I bet you they received a call?

I really, really did see it. I was going to do screen shots and blow it up! Now, it’s gone 😦

Body Of Kathleen Savio To Be Exhumed

State’s Attorney Says Drew Peterson’s Third Wife Likely Died In Homicide

    BOLINGBROOK, Ill. (CBS) ―
The Will County State’s Attorney plans to exhume the body of Kathleen Savio, the deceased third wife of Bolingbrook police Sgt. Drew Peterson, and says she may have died in a homicide.

It’s a day the Savio family has been waiting for for more than three years. Now the Will County State’s Attorney is making sure that justice delayed is not justice denied.

Authorities say tell-tale signs of trauma including bruising and head injuries found on Kathleen Savio may mean her death, previously ruled accidental, may have been staged. Following the disappearance of Drew Peterson’s fourth wife, Stacy Peterson, the case was reopened. The chief criminal judge in Will County has approved the petition, State’s Attorney James Glasgow said at a news conference Friday.

(Related Story: Peterson is now considered a suspect in Stacy Peterson’s disappearance.)

Glasgow said the possibility of a homicide is suspected.

Savio’s family says they’ve long suspected that Savio didn’t drown accidentally in her bathtub as was determined by the coroner’s office.

CBS 2 obtained a 28-page autopsy report on Kathleen Savio, who drowned in a whirlpool-style bathtub in March 2004. In it, a pathologist noted Savio’s head was covered in blood, and she had suffered a laceration.

Savio’s family members believes the original coroner’s report shows how a coroner’s inquest became a miscarriage of justice.

“We always believed she was murdered,” Savio’s sister, Anna Doman, said. “There was no way my sister was not murdered.”

And they believe Drew Peterson killed his ex-wife. But a six-member coroner’s jury ruled Savio accidentally drowned in her bathtub. The coroner said Wednesday that was a mistake. He released on Thursday the inquest transcript.

The proceedings began when Kathleen’s sister told how she was informed by a relative of Kathleen’s death.

“I was told that my sister was dead,” Doman said. “I asked if her ex-husband killed her, and she told me she didn’t know. And the reason I ask that is because she was terrified of him and him threatening her. ”

The only police officer called to testify never was at the death scene, and didn’t attend the autopsy, where eight separate injuries were noted on Savio’s body.

The coroner asked him if there was “any signs of a struggle noted at the scene?”

The officer answered: “no there was not.”

“Any signs of a struggle or defense wounds?” the coroner asked.

“No, there was not,” the officer answered.

“And there was a little bit of blood in the tub?” the coroner asked.

    The officer said, “That’s right.”

But, DuPage County’s chief deputy coroner, Charlie Dastych also reviewed the autopsy report at CBS 2’s request, and isn’t so sure.

“The injuries that are noted in the autopsy report definitely indicate there is evidence of suspicion that could be looked at at a different level,” Dastych said. “Evidence of a possible struggle.”

“When they talk about an injury to the scalp, and blood matted in the hair, I think it would raise questions of what caused this trauma if you’re drowned in a bathtub,” said DuPage County Coroner Peter Siekmann. “But basically healthy people that have no toxic substances in their system, essentially they don’t drown.”

Siekmann has said he believes the jurors who ruled on Savio’s death made a mistake, and that her cause of death should have been listed as undetermined.

No charges were originally filed in the case, but the current state’s attorney decided to reopen it in light of Stacy Peterson’s disappearance.

“If the coroner’s jury says it’s an accident and the pathologist who performs the autopsy says it’s not an accident, the state’s attorney has every right in the world to forget and disregard what the coroner’s jury has to say,” said CBS 2’s legal expert Irv Miller.

Doman said Savio told her she knew she would be killed. And although she’s never said publicly that she believed Drew Peterson killed Savio, she’s not holding back anymore.

When asked if she thinks Drew Peterson killed Kathleen Savio, Anna Doman said, “It’s hard to say… yeah, I do. …He had the most to gain – money.”

She says there was $1 million in life insurance and a more than $600,000 estate that stood to be divided.

“She would have gotten half. Instead she got none,” Anna Doman said. “He got it all.”

Records show Savio obtained an order of protection against Drew Peterson in 2002, alleging a pattern of abusing and threats. She did the same in a letter to a prosecutor, written 16 months before she died.

CBS 2 West Suburban Bureau Chief Mike Puccinelli contributed to this report.

  34. Well, it does appear that he prints opinion without consideration of the facts. 😉

Does that have Brodsky written all over it? 😀

  35. Steve Cesare, a friend of Stacy’s, said she sent him an e-mail on October 17 saying her husband was “controlling, manipulative and somewhat abusive.”

“I knew they had problems,” Cesare said. “But the part where it says that he was becoming abusive, that concerned me.”

He added, “She wouldn’t have left her kids. That’s just not going to happen.”

    ************

Maybe that’s what the rest of Mike’s statement said too.

  36. Ducky, we know it exists. It just hasn’t been released to the public (unless you consider various media “the public”).

    Anyway, thanks for the effort!

    😀

  37. Noway-CBS had it on the news that night. They had obtained it. That means that it was released somehow at the time and everyone was told to pull back on it. If the media already had it, then it was released.

Video link that was there 3 days ago-now gone. I wonder why they suddenly took the video down?

  38. “Another part of Kurdenok’s story that troubles me is that there was never once a mention of Stacy’s children. I would hope any woman planning to run away from her husband would show some concern for her own small children.”

    **************
What I think is troubling is that Paulie makes a statement like this without showing EVERYTHING from that document, and then expects people with common sense to believe it. I think he should be quite embarrassed that he is passing this stuff off as credible, LOL.

  39. IKE-thank you! It makes me mad that the video is all of a sudden gone-it showed close ups of what they were referring to in the article 👿 Oh well.

Noway-I think that you are right. GJ is winding down and I hope that the jerk is behind bars soon. Do you think that he will “sing” in prison? I guess one way or another he will be. 😯

  40. BTW-that is JMO about him being behind bars. I wish that he could take his attorney with him. Do they arrest people for being stupid idiots? LOL

I do want to make sure that when they arrest Drew, he will never see the light of day again.

It seems like the police are doing the same thing in Casey Anthony’s case. Arrest her for something-child neglect, just like Drew with the gun charges, put their arses behind bars for a few years. Maybe that is the plan?

  41. Huh:

This is what Channel 2 news reported:

    http://cbs2chicago.com/westsuburbanbureau/drew.peterson.stacy.2.799919.html

Drew Peterson says he doesn’t feel vindicated by the latest revelation but does believe it bolsters his contention that his wife chose to abandon her family.

    *******

This is what the Sun-Times quotes him as saying:

    http://www.suburbanchicagonews.com/heraldnews/news/1120806,4_1_JO22_PETERSON_S1.article

“It’s like she was planning something and then two days later she acted on it,” Peterson said. “I would say that vindicated me a little. Wouldn’t you?”

  42. “Why were Kurdenok and his story not worth minimal investigative efforts by the Illinois State Police?”
    ***********************

Obviously, Mike Kurdenok’s statement was worth more than minimal efforts on the part of the ISP. Since it was included as part of the justification for a search of Drew’s property I have to assume that they took the full statement very seriously.

  43. rescue-where is the “mooning” smiley when you need it? or the LA LA LA-I’m not listening.

He’s SO gross and he can’t keep his story straight for one second. Master of contradiction.

  44. Joe Hosey quotes Drew:

This is the first I heard about it,” Peterson said of Mike Kurdenok…

So he must not have had access to the full search warrant on Oct 31.

  45. Ducky, are you sure the video is gone? I clicked on the link you provided and just watched the video. They did show the document … snips here and there … but not enough that I thought I could get usable shots of it.

I can try though if this is the video you watched.

    Amen to that Facs!!

  47. Facs, I think that is what IKELOL posted up above.

The first 3 pages are what DP/JB got (the judge sees the whole thing so he/she can determine whether the search warrant is warranted.) 😉

  48. Except that JB got nothing at the time the search warrant was served, since he wasn’t part of the picture yet.

  49. Facs, you don’t think that was Joe Hosey misquoting Drew again do you? 😉

Nah, I’m sure this time he got it right. 😀

  50. Thanks, Rescue. I was drawing a blank on the guy’s name!

I’m sure Fred Morelli (aka a real lawyer) passed on whatever documentation he had to Joel Brodsky.

  51. Interesting that this is from November 5, 2007, and it makes reference to Joliet Junior College and Drew Peterson in the same sentence! He didn’t know about Mike???? Hmmm.

Found this on an insession board.

Stacey did not answer any calls or text messages from her Family thoughout Sunday..

Family started to worry, having been told that Drew was watching Stacy and tracking her movements, checking up on her. He would circle the parking lot at Joliet Junior College to make sure she was in class (pre-nursing, 1 course this semester); he would circle the parking lot if Cassandra and Stacy were in a restaurant to be sure no male was meeting them.
*neighbors have gone on record saying the same, that Stacy feared Drew and wanted to divorce.

  52. Interesting.

I wonder if this meeting with Mike was possibly with a group and maybe at Denny’s. Isn’t that where she met with Scott and friends?

  53. That is where she met with Scott, and she told Drew she was going to meet with him for coffee. She didn’t hide it.

I had to stop rolling with laughter when I realized I had no idea what or who he was talking about except for drew.

Otherwise I think I would have laughed more. That is so funny how they can put them words on those darn pictures.

Some day I might be smart enough to laugh at it more.

Here we are, everyone. What the world has been waiting for. Direct to the ether and from the ether to you, the “truth” according to a completely bent, sick excop who crowned his achievements by murdering the mothers of his children, a lawyer for whom the language fairies created the word “obnoxious”, and the I-can’t -believe -how-lucky-I-am-to-get-Drew- and-all -these- hits on -my -site publicist.

  56. While I’m here, big thumbs down to the Tribune for using the headline:

Drew Peterson’s lawyer says mention of other man supports defense’s case

when more accurately is other man’s STATEMENT etc. and could be worded to fit the space. I really hate that kind of thing.

JB and AA will have been poring over the documents to find something they can take out of context to inflate.

You bet there was more to Mike’s statement, and you bet LE talked to him at length as possibly last non-family member to see Stacy alive. Exculpatory? Not even JB believes it.

I’m really disappointed in Sun Times for hosting that liar’s blog, too. I’m thinking the most recent post is most disgusting yet. Yeah, I read the disclaimer, but it still makes me want to throw up. Just because you add a disclaimer doesn’t really make your organ (I love that) look any better.

Ah. I feel better now. 🙂

  57. Wondering (soz, wonder ;-))

if Len had a happy birthday. There DO seem to be a lot of Leos around the place, including me, and if I’m not wrong, Coffeeocity. Has the universe sent us here to call out that counterfeit as he parades himself as the Cowardly Lion, the sick wolf????. LOL.

  58. My big thumbs down today is for NurseRene who added only one new comment to his last blog entry – one implying that Stacy’s family are involved in her disappearance.

I know of at least four people who submitted comments to his blog yesterday – they took him to task for his irresponsible words and fictionalization of the facts – and so they weren’t printed.

If the guy and his blog could sink lower in credibility, then it has happened.

  59. Hi facs! ruffle ruffle the ol’ ears there, for ya.

Like I said, it makes the Sun Times look really rank by association. I think they should think about it.

I like the idea of a mirror site With corrections.

  60. Hiyah bucket – Thanks for the scratchin’s.

FYI, I think you are confusing the crimefile blog with the Delaney photoshop blog. Crimefile isn’t associated with the Sun-Times in anyway. He just has a regular old Google Blogger site.

  61. Hi everyone.

Bucket – your posts today were entertaining and right on!

Yeah, Facs, he/she/it is nothing more than a washed-up intellectually challenged web PI blogger. Birds of a feather……..

  62. Facs – What I believe Bucket means is that following any kind of Peterson article in the Sun Times, there’s usually a link following to dipsy doodle’s blog.

  63. OMG – you’re right. Why would they do that? There are plenty of blogs related to the case – why provide links to one so off-the-wall?

I see an email in my future.

  64. I’d like to use a quote from Abood when he was on Mike & Juliet, and he was so peed off when Lenny was talking. Absolutely, it applies here:

“Why are they even giving this guy a forum?”

  65. Looking closer, it looks like the links are provided by this media company “blogburst’. They probably pull up a link based on criteria like common ‘tags’ and crimefile just happens to have the most matches.

    Well, ugh.

  66. I just checked out Blogburst’s FAQs and now it makes even more sense .

You need to pay for Blogburst to promote your blog. We know that NurseRene’s current ambition is to be a Really Famous Blogger so he’s one of the few bloggers who would pay to get links to his crap on news sites.

I guess I’ll have to endure and ignore.

  67. Hey, I have a question. Why does he dress in drag anyway? I never understood the purpose of that, and splashing himself on a website with pictures.

You know what is kind of funny? On SYM the other day I posted the following which is probably just coincidence in timing but funny nonetheless:

    I’ve been thinking again….

Stacy was very active in her children’s lives and also appears to have given the older boys the same amount of love and attention as she did her biological children. Look at all of the pictures of her and the kids that are out there. Look at all of the pictures of her and her family that are out there. Stacy is always cheek to cheek with people sporting a huge smile.

I haven’t seen many old photos of Drew released except for ones of him next to his wives during the good times. Don’t get me wrong he and the person in the photo with him do seem to be very happy. It is just that I don’t see any pictures of him being all cuddly with his kids. I see pictures that other people release of him being all cuddly with the girls in bars – but not any with his kids except for the very nice formal posed one that was taken after Stacy had disappeared.

I’d love for Drew to show off his softer side to the public. Let them see him being a family man. His PR agents that he is paying for aren’t doing a very good job. They could have setup an informational website showing Drew’s good side and include things from his friends that have tried to get their word out through the media but have been rebuffed. He could include a heartfelt plea to Stacy to come back home.

I know that people say cops are trained to contain their emotion – but it is just really strange that Drew hasn’t broken down one iota in public yet but rather seems to appear more and more arrogant as time goes on. Casey Anthony’s father was a veteran cop and even he has shown raw emotion. Drew has not shown raw emotion one single time during this ordeal. The slight choke when he spoke about little Lacy not having a mom seemed heartfelt until we learned about the stupid ear tug (which he did at that time later).

I want to slap him and say be a man and cry already. Throw up the white flag and beg Stacy to come home. Don’t say bad things about her – don’t say she’s probably out dancing and sleeping with all kinds of men. Just beg her to come home and you’ll do whatever she wants. Beg her to stop everyone from thinking he is a murderer. Beg her to stop letting the kids have to live through this. Remind her that she is NOT her mother and has always been a wonderful mother to the children. Remind her that her remaining sister is hurting terribly and can’t handle losing another sister. Remind her that her brother still needs her pushes and prods in hopes of him one day changing his life.

And then Drew should kick his private investigators’ butts and find out why even though he is paying them they never discovered that Stacy went for a drink on her last day of school before she disappeared.

  70. Sorry the last post is so long. I’ll make sure that Drew sends me a check (which I will donate to a worthy cause) if the website suddenly includes the items I had listed! 🙂

Yup – My post didn’t make it! Isn’t that a surprise. However, I am trying to be tricky here now and put some postive BS at the beginning and the end and a rip on the guy for only accepting comments that agree with him in the middle. Should be interesting to see how far he reads into it.

If it all goes wrong in China, no loss. I hear they can quickly and profitably harvest your organs and the rest end up in an “anatomy” exhibition.

  73. If anyone would like to follow suit, this is the email I sent to the editor at the Herald News (the email included embedded links which won’t show up in this post).

    HeraldNews@scn1.com

    Dear Editor:

I’d like to call your attention to some links on your site that point to an offensive advertiser.

If you scroll down to the bottom of this article, you’ll see some links to a blog site called Crime, Guns & Videotape.

    Peterson Claims Vindication

The blog that is being linked to has a very right-wing, blame-the-victim bias. Not only that but the writer of this blog, Paul Huebl is in contact with Drew Peterson’s attorney, Joel Brodsky. Mr. Brodsky has been supplying the writer with documents and as far as I can tell, he is working with Mr. Brodsky to disseminate pro-defense propoganda.

I find it very offensive that the Herald News is supplying links to this unethical, biased, mouthpiece-for-the-defense web site via the BlogBurst network. I checked out the Blogburst guidelines and frankly, I think the Crime, Guns and Videotape blog is in violation of them.

Please, please remove these offensive advertising links from any further stories about the Peterson case. That blog is an insult to the victim’s families…and to justice.

Body Of Kathleen Savio To Be Exhumed

State’s Attorney Says Drew Peterson’s Third Wife Likely Died In Homicide

    Nov 9, 2007 10:34 pm US/Central

    _______________

I had posted yesterday that his case had been given a continuance. But there is more than one Michael Robinson (or at least more than one offense by Michael Robinson).

So regarding the battery, intimidation and domestic batter, the case was not continued, but I do not know what happened.

I’m reading archived material but when I return to the present again, I’ll try to find more!

  81. To all the fans of my blog, crime, Guns and Videotape here I want to give my thanks. I love breaking news and by your loyal readership.

I’m encouraged to work even harder bringing you what you want, more information on the missing person case of Stacy Peterson.

I’m not clairvoyant and have to rely on tips and documents from people like you. Of course I investigate and make sure the documents are genuine and the information is credible.

I know that many if not all who post here don’t seem to believe in our system of justice or the presumption of innocence. Many beg for the quick lynching of Drew Peterson rather than a proper investigation.

If you demand justice for Stacy I assume that you want justice, not a lynching. Let the police gather their evidence find probable cause and perhaps someday a suspect will stand trial.

I will never apologize for not being part of an Internet lynch mob. We fight wars for the Bill of Rights some here want destroyed. It appears here that so many men and women have died in vain.

I’m on the side of DP. DP is NOT Drew Peterson, but DUE PROCESS.
    http://www.crimefilenews.com

  82. Yeah Paul and like posting a paragraph out of context of 8 pages of reason for a search warrant just for the reason of pointing a finger at an innocent witness in a missing persons case is calling for DUE PROCESS.

How much are you being paid for posting that stuff?

  83. crimefile // August 23, 2008 at 3:45 pm

I will never apologize for not being part of an Internet lynch mob. We fight wars for the Bill of Rights some here want destroyed. It appears here that so many men and women have died in vain.

    ……………………………………………………………….

Sure seemed like you were trying to lynch Mike the witness for Stacy disapearence.

  84. Oh and Paul the way you don’t let any comments on your blog unless they agree with you is the NEW AMERICAN WAY.

  85. Crimeflies
We like due process! Kathleen Savio was denied it, not Drew Peterson.

We don’t want to lynch him. But it’s that old walking, talking duck thing. Kathleen walked and talked like a domestic abuse victim who stood up to her abuser as best she could, Stacy walked and talked like a frightened devoted mom who would never abandon her kids . Drew walks and talks like a pathologically selfish individual who likes to make people scared. Now he walks and talks like a tiny scared loser because he knows LE have probably got all the duck’s information they need.

You have not seen Mike’s full statements. Neither has Brodsky. So when you write as though you have and that it supports the suspect’s story you must be, er..lying.

Constitutionally speaking, women have the right to life and liberty, you know.

  86. I don’t call it due process when you are a patsy (and possibly a paid one) for the defense.

We can see the telltale blue mark on every document that gets FAXed from Brodsky to PH.

I don’t think there’s any due process involved when you write unsubstantiated opinion as fact and have the audacity to bold them – as in stating that Stacy never mentioned concern for her children to Mike K.

Paul has no clue what Stacy did or didn’t tell Mike K, espeically since Mike declined an invitation to harrassed over the phone by Paul.

Paul has claimed before that he is NOT working as PI for Peterson. His actions show otherwise!

I wonder if Blogburst or Pluck media have really taken a good look at that blog, or do they need someone to take them by the hand and show them? I’m not sure many publishers would be fine with the image of a judge decked out in swastikas.

  87. Like most cops I have had to apply for search warrants. You want to search so you put whatever you can, including the kitchen sink so the judge will give you the warrant you need.

If Mr. Kurdenok said that Stacy Peterson expressed fear for herself or he children the investigator WOULD HAVE PUT THAT INFORMATION IN THE AFFIDAVIT. I can say there is no such information provided by Kurdenok in that 12 page affidavit.

This was early in the investigation and Mr. Kurdenok did not tell anything more to police. Police should have followed up but instead they focused only on Drew Peterson.

No matter what you want to believe Mr. Kurdenok and his story it smells. Stacy’s family insists she would have shown concern for her kids. They also claim she was afraid of her husband. That leads me to think this alleged conversation never happened.

If Kurdenok’s story is true than Stacy did take off without her kids like Kurdenok claimed she said she would.

The logic here is quite simple…

By the way I’m not Peterson’s defense investigator. If he has the dough and needs me I’d do that case to the best of my ability.

  88. In July PH claimed not to be working on the case but Thursday he said otherwise:

    Thursday, August 21, 2008

“I Called Kurdenok myself at his home telephone number. I told him I was a private investigator working on this case and he quickly slammed the phone on me. ”

    Sunday, July 27, 2008

“Yes, I do serious criminal defense investigations along with other endeavors. When I’m retained to work on a defendant’s behalf I’m on the side of exploiting reasonable doubt and mitigating despicable acts that people do…

If I’m retained on a criminal case I cannot also blog about it.”

  89. “If Kurdenok’s story is true than Stacy did take off without her kids like Kurdenok claimed she said she would.”

Kurdenock doesn’t have a ‘story’. He only states a discussion he had with Stacy based on a hypothetical.

Paul, if you have acces to the full 12 page search warrant that would prove anything you’re saying, please post it. Otherwise, your statments are not credible.

  90. Blogburst and the various publishers look long and hard at all the bloggers. Blogburst only wants accurate, readable, reliable and though provoking content providers.

They do the recruiting, not the other way around. They asked me to participate and I did so. Bloggers can have opinions too.

  91. I believe in due process as well.

Since Paul won’t accept or print critical feedback, I’m taking it to those who might be more responsive: The Sun-Times group, Blogburst and Pluck.

  92. Crime

I don’t see how you think the convo was a lie?

I see her anxious, dreading going home, a weary time of day even on a good day. Low ebb, glass of wine, she expresses her fears and feelings (along the lines of “maybe I should just go”and /or as a Plan B”, not really meaning it Sounds like it makes sense to me.

How on earth can you possibly know it wasn’t followed up?

  97. Rumor is Drew just called the cops because someone did a burnout in front of his house while he was taking a dip in the pool. LOL LOL

  98. In due time the entire search warrant affidavit will be revealed.

There are court cases all over where bloggers have allowed people to post libelous statements and now are in court because they facilitated those torts. I won’t assume that kind of liability.

Many bloggers don’t allow comments at all. The Internet is a big place and there is lots of room in it for people to rant whatever they want somewhere else.

He died offically Thursday night at 7:30 pm. We donated his organs last night. He was 39, 3 kids and my daughter Tina. I have been in touch with Drew and joel and just to let everyone know they have been there for me in every way they can. that is Drews softer sider for you that do not know him or see that in him, its there, believe me, its there. I have turned to Joel for legal advice at this point since there is a cover up happening and we need protection.

So nice Joel and Drew are helping and supporting you. To bad you or them never helped or supported Stacys family.

How ex-law, her mother, can get on a blog and express how supportive a suspect in a murder is, along with his paid attorney, escapes me. God bless ex-law. She needs it.

  107. Post the whole 12 pages Mr. Crimefile. You keep avoiding it, but referring to it. Put up or shut up.

    The whole thing.

  108. crime file says:

“Another disturbing fact is that Kurdenok claims that Stacy Peterson never mentions her children in her run away plans. I find that beyond incredible. ”

Crime file – WHERE IS THIS STATEMENT???? SHOW US WHERE YOU FOUND THIS STATEMENT. It’s not in the paragraph on your “blog.” Where does it specifically say “Kurdenok claims that Stacy Peterson never mentions her children?”

Because there are numerous statements on record from people who say she would NEVER leave her children.

What I find beyond incredible is that you have the audacity to post statements without backing them up.

Publish all 12 pages, not just a little piece of a paragraph that you manipulate into a dissertation that tries to pin suspicion on someone other than the current suspect. Shame on you. 109. Rescue, that was a terribly insensitive post about Exlaw. How could you couple comment of a personal family tragedy with a person’s opinion.

I am sickened by your comment, not that it matters, however I think you are being incredibly rude. I am shocked that you can’t put personal difference aside. The entire second half of your post is completely un-necessary. Ugh.

    Corrected:
Lots so called feedback attempts on my blog are by people here who want to contribute:
    1. Libelous statements
    2. Personal attacks
    3. Misinformation or false information
    4. Profanity
    5. Things that are not relevant or on point to the post.

There are court cases all over where bloggers have allowed people to post libelous statements and now are in court because they facilitated those torts. I won’t assume that kind of liability.

Many bloggers don’t allow comments at all. The Internet is a big place and there is lots of room in it for people to rant whatever they want.

    ****

Sorry to call you on the carpet on this one CrimeDude but I posted a comment to your site which did not include any libelous statements, personal attacks, misinformation or false information, profanity, and was indeed relevant or on point to the post.

I actually respect bloggers that don’t allow comments at all than those that only approve ones that make it seem like everyone agrees with you.

  111. giveitarest – Thank you for your insight. Death of son-in-law and Drew Peterson in the same sentence – well, I’ll leave it at that. Sorry you were disturbed by that. Guess we have different ideas on some things.

  112. I have to say that no matter what ExLaw posted of at SYM people should let her grieve and lean on whoever she needs to. She suffered a huge loss and my prayers are with her even though on SYM I sometimes butt heads with her on certain topics.

Everyone has their side. Everyone has the people that they support no matter what. She just chose a different side than the majority.

This is the problem that I have seen with this cross-forum fight and I see it on both sites. I hope that no one takes that post to do pot-shots against her even if you think she’d do the same to you.

  113. Hey giveitarest:

    IKELOL:

So nice Joel and Drew are helping and supporting you. To bad you or them never helped or supported Stacys family.

    Picking favorites, giveitarest?

  114. CrimeDude – I do admit that my second post (which was submitted anonymously) was actually off topic. But the first one was real, explained that I understood that it is indeed important to look at all angles and that making statements as you did when the readers don’t have the benefit of seeing anything other than the snippet was wrong.

  115. I’ve wasted enough time at this lynch mob site.

So farthr only one I expected to be convicted is your hero and self-professed snitch Lenny boy for battery against Drew Peterson.

Will Lenny beg for a public defender or just plead out on Sept 10?

    So long hatemongers!

Stay tuned for lots of documents to be posted on my blog…

  116. i think this post of rescue’s bears repeating:
    crime file says:

You have absolutely no credibility, and you’re losing your ability to think for yourself in a logical manner.

Publish the whole thing or shut up.

  117. Rescue, I have no idea what your last post was to me, really don’t care. No one knows what I have contributed to anyone, so it makes those that assume look a little silly, lmao.

As for picking sides, yeah, I am picking Exlaw’s side. Your smart a** remark was not needed.

You are lynching Stacy by only looking one way yourself. Think about it.

Hey – I’m not ready to execute Drew (I know some people are) but there are some of us who base our decision on all of the evidence but you chose to only show one piece and expect us just to believe what you say.

Guess what – I don’t just believe people because they say they know more than I do. I need to see it, touch it, and feel it myself before I would consider the evidence. And by the way – what is out on blogs and forums really doesn’t matter – as a juror I would base my decision on the evidence presented and agree that legally Drew is innocent until proven guilty.

  119. Lol, you don’t bother me Rescue, I will say what I feel, regardless of whether you and your sillyness approves or not.

However, as to not disrupt this thread anymore than YOU have, I will step back and allow the normal bashing to continue.

  120. Giveitarest – that is a good idea. Thank you. I will step back also. If someone finds comfort from talking to Drew Peterson, then it must be right for that person.

    *******

………I have been in touch with Drew and joel and just to let everyone know they have been there for me in every way they can. that is Drews softer sider for you that do not know him or see that in him, its there, believe me, its there. I have turned to Joel for legal advice at this point since there is a cover up happening and we need protection.

  121. If she wants to use her loss to post a love-note to Drew, that’s her right.

I have an opinion about it and I’ve expressed it.

  122. I’m sure disappointed that Paulie won’t answer any questions about his proof, and why he makes statements that aren’t true.

He acts like a 5 year old when things are going his way. Taking his toys and going home.

I also don’t understand why he can’t fess-up himself and admit he’s tape record people. After all, he IS a PI, right?

She was the one that is taking the opertunity to try to further the nice guy/selig look for Drew in a statement about her loss.

Wasn’t Drew the snitch when he started ratted on his buddies at BPD?

    Drew is the Head Rat.

  126. Whew

    Good morning.

I’m glad I didn’t waste time last night waiting for Crime’s answers, because there weren’t any.(noticed the threats, though)

Safe to assume that it is what it looks like then.

Neither Crime nor Joel have seen any full statement by Mike, just tried to spin times 10 to the 10th a small snippet that was gathered in the very early days to support the request for a search warrant. What was quoted proves nothing at all whatever contradictory to what the police and everyone else thinks happened.

Why would anyone disbelieve the conversation happened? Because Stacy spoke to a man whose name JB hadn’t seen before? She must have had an affair with him and he killed her? Twat.

They wouldn’t “believe” it unless they’re in the suspect’s pocket, paid or not, looking for a book deal etc. LOL. “just not credible”.

    RE: Above post

    1. Why not publish the entire document? What does in due time mean other than we are not getting the full story?

    2. You can publish whatever you want, so publish the thing in it’s entirelty and not just a paragrah that neatly fits Drew’s version.

    3. If this was your sister or other family mamebr who was missing, would you publish all of the documents then?

If anyone cares to look at the most recent fax published on his blog, you will note that the subsequent text in the paragraph below has redactacted. You are able to see the tops of the first letters.

I find it unusual that LE would take a one paragraph statement and then move on with out any follow up questions, such as why did she want to leave? Was she frightened? If yes why? And so on.

Additionally, if the statement of this person had such overwhleming information about Stacy leaving, it would be public by now. This is in November folks. If the LE had a good lead on Stacy leaving, they would have ket us know all about MK and his statement.

I just don’t see how this one paragraph is such a revelation.

    Waiting for the rest.

  130. Interesting that Paul has it in him to criticise len for wearing a wire to help gather evidence against a suspected killer.

Paul should be more understanding given that he himself has worn a hidden recording device and attempted to get statements from a suspected killer.

This only supports any suspicions one might have of him not giving his own opinions but being a mouthpiece for Brodsky.

  131. ” have been in touch with Drew and joel and just to let everyone know they have been there for me in every way they can. that is Drews softer sider for you that do not know him or see that in him, its there, believe me, its there.”
    ——————————————-
As far as Exlaw & her daughter, I offer them my sincere condolences.

As far as what is said in her post about Drew, I have to say, “do not be taken in by him”!

Narcissists can be the nicest people you’d want to meet, they can be helpful & do things for others, but their motive is not from their “softer side”.

It is self gratifying. They will do things to get credit for it, that is part of their personality disorder, that they need & cannot live without this constant gratification from others, putting it simply, they need this “ego boost” 24/7.

That is why they will abandon a spouse or GF or anyone who stops being in awe of them, stops adoring them, stops feeding their ego.

“He (or she) feeds off other people, who hurl back at him an image that he projects to them. This is their sole function in his world: to reflect, to admire, to applaud, to detest – in a word, to assure him that he exists.”
    http://samvak.tripod.com/narclist.html

  132. That’s interesting. From a journalistic point of view…blogwars, press wars, someone would use jbdp’s side. I get it. Cash doesn’t have to be the immediate motivation. Don’t really know.

Some people might say that anyone using a situation like this to further their own selfish interest is no better than a corpse abuser.

  133. For exlaw.

God works in mysterious ways. I’m so glad someone was there with the old arm around the shoulder when you needed it, regardless.

Lawyers: Drew Peterson on TV a bad idea

By Don Babwin, Associated Press Writer
CHICAGO — Defense attorney Joseph Tacopina knows what Drew Peterson is trying to do by repeatedly going on television to proclaim his innocence in the disappearance of his wife and death of an ex-wife.
He gets that the former Bolingbrook police sergeant is trying to quell growing suspicions being fed in the media by angry relatives, neighbors, an ex-wife and scathing words from the likes of TV hosts John Walsh and Geraldo Rivera.

But he also believes comments Peterson made about his missing wife, along with his behavior after she disappeared, could backfire.

“He really couldn’t have done anything worse short of saying, ‘Yeah, I killed her, so what?'” said Tacopina, a lawyer not involved in the Peterson case whose clients have included a suspect in the 2005 disappearance of American teenager Natalee Holloway in Aruba.

It has been more than three weeks since Stacy Peterson vanished. Since then, authorities have said they believe the death of Peterson’s third wife, Kathleen Savio — whose body was found in a bathtub in 2004 — was a homicide staged to look like an accidental drowning.

Peterson has not been called a suspect in Savio’s death, but authorities said they suspected him in Stacy Peterson’s disappearance.

Peterson, 53, has found himself at the center of a media storm.

He went from explaining to reporters that his 23-year-old wife left him for another man to leaving his home or staying inside to escape the growing crush of TV news trucks camped outside.

Recently, though, he’s decided to talk. He invited Rivera into his house. He flew to New York to appear on NBC’s “Today” show and ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

“He said … I want to get my message out to the world,” said Steve Carcerano, a friend who says he found Savio’s body.

Peterson has repeatedly said he had nothing to do with his wife’s disappearance or the death of Savio, whose body was exhumed last week so authorities could re-examine it.

But when Peterson talks, the public listens — both to what he says and how he says it.

In some interviews, Peterson said his wife’s behavior was tied to her menstrual cycle and told how he paid for cosmetic surgery. Walsh, host of “America’s Most Wanted,” described Peterson’s answers as “awful cold-blooded responses.”

Prosecutors also are listening, waiting for Peterson to slip and make a statement that doesn’t jibe with what he’s said before, defense attorneys say.

“You should be very careful (because) the next time you watch, you could be sitting in the defendant’s chair,” said Mark Geragos, who represented Scott Peterson, the California man convicted of killing his pregnant wife, Laci.

Three interviews Scott Peterson gave before he retained Geragos were played in open court.

Scott Peterson’s own words in those taped interviews and taped conversations did him in, Geragos said.

    Defense attorney Gerry Spence agrees.

“They never even proved a murder in that case,” Spence said of Scott Peterson. “The thing he did do was cheat on his wife. He got the death penalty for proof that he cheated on his wife.”

Geragos said media interviews pose another hazard.

“If they find (Stacy Peterson) and she’s dead and she was dead at the time the interview was done … those things look awful. Whether (Drew Peterson) had anything to do with it, it looks awful,” Geragos said.

On Monday, it seemed that Peterson — or at least the attorney he retained last week — recognized that interviews are risky. During a brief interview on “Today,” Joel Brodsky would not let his client respond to most questions.

“I think you will see his comments tailing off now,” Brodsky said Tuesday.

But he also said the appearance was necessary to confront statements made by a pathologist who examined Savio’s body on behalf of her family and said he believed the woman was murdered.

“We had no choice but to dispute it, get our message out,” Brodsky said.

Tacopina — who said he would not let Joran Van der Sloot, a suspect in Holloway’s disappearance, talk to the media for nine months — said the damage already may have been done in Drew Peterson’s case.

“Not for a second do I judge this guy, but his stand-up routine in front of his house while his wife is missing is in bad taste and people cannot reconcile that with someone who is grieving,” he said.

Because of that, along with his answers during interviews, including referring to his wife in the past tense, Peterson might have hurt himself if his fate is put in the hands of a jury, Tacopina said.

“Things like that, when there is maybe a gap in the evidence, the jury’s disdain for the defendant will often fill that gap where the evidence should be,” he said.

  136. Hedidit- that was interesting. There is a lot of “old” stuff out there that, hopefully, some day will come back and bite Peterson in his tush.

    I especially liked this:

On Monday, it seemed that Peterson — or at least the attorney he retained last week — recognized that interviews are risky. During a brief interview on “Today,” Joel Brodsky would not let his client respond to most questions.

  137. Snipped from a transcript of The Big Story with John Gibson:

    Published 11-13-07

WECHT: Well, I agree it is almost certainly a homicide. I have not disagreement with that. And I believe that this exhumation autopsy is absolutely necessary. In saying that I don’t think they are likely to come up with anything, I am not criticizing the undertaking of this procedure. It is wise, necessary tactically strategically in preparation for the reopening of the case.

I’m just being realistic based upon 50 or 100 exhumation autopsies that I have done in 45 years as to what is likely to be found. The fact of the matter is that this case was botched horribly in March of ’04. You find a woman 40 years of age, she has no heart disease, she has no other significant medical problem, she has no alcohol, she has no drugs, and nobody commented on this. She is sitting in the tub.

She is not submerged in water. Her head isn’t down. Even if one says, well, gee, what if the water were up, well, if the water is up over her mouth and over her nose and she’s sitting in the tub reclining like this, the water is over the top of the tub.

The Transcript Of That Segment Below:

Original Source: THE BIG STORY WITH JOHN GIBSON

HEATHER NAUERT, CO-HOST: Hi everyone. Welcome to THE BIG STORY. I’m Heather Nauert.

JOHN GIBSON, CO-HOST: I’m John Gibson live at FOX News Headquarters.

NAUERT: And here’s a look at what is happening right now.

A war of words in Pakistan tonight and the leaders of both sides are talking to FOX News. Opposition leader Benazir Bhutto says that President Pervez Musharraf must step down. In a verbal battle, Musharraf says that Bhutto is already acting like she’s prime minister.

In California today, Governor and former actor Arnold Schwarzenegger is getting involved in the Hollywood writer’s strike. His spokesman said that the governor is making several calls to studio reps to see what the state can do to help bring the dispute to an end.

The Nebraska teacher accused of running off with a 13-year-old student to have sex with him is now out of a job. The school board terminated her contract. Kelsey Peterson’s attorney says that the boy is responsible, too and that he may be older than 13.

The O.J. Simpson preliminary hearing is underway in Las Vegas right now. Witnesses say that O.J. called for guns to be a part of the sting operation. But O.J.’s lawyers fought back, getting one witness to suggest that he was willing to exaggerate his story in order to make money. We’ll have legal analysis of the “Juice’s” (ph) date with justice and that’s coming up in just a few minutes — John.

GIBSON: Now to breaking new developments tonight in the search for Stacy Peterson. Drew Peterson’s current wife is missing, one of his former wives is dead and he is a suspect now in both cases. That’s why the body of his third wife was dug up from her grave today in Hillside, Illinois and authorities are planning a second autopsy on Kathleen Savio’s exhumed body.

Prosecutors say in the evidence in the 2004 accidental drowning, it looks like someone tried to kill Savio and then cover it up to make it look like an accident. Three years after Savio’s death, what can forensics teams determine now, and how bad could this get for Drew Peterson, the man at the center of this growing mystery?

With us now radio reporter Mary Frances Bragiel with WBBM 780 Chicago, and forensic pathologist Dr. Cyril Wecht. Mary Frances, you first, what is the latest now on the exhumation and everything else involved in the Drew Peterson investigation?

MARY FRANCES BRAGIEL, WBBM 780 CHICAGO: Well according to officials with the State Attorney’s Office in Will County, the autopsy on Kathleen Savio is being conducted today. It’s expected to be concluded today and we’re expecting to have some sort of report released hopefully later this week. Meantime, Drew Peterson, no one has seen him in a couple of days. He has been holed up in his house, basically since he appeared before a grand jury last week.

NAUERT: Dr. Wecht, let me ask you, what is it that they can hope to find? She has ben deceased for three years now.

DR. CYRIL WECHT, FORENSIC PATHOLOGIST: I think very likely they will find nothing. Three and one half years have transpired. Soft tissue injures such as bruises, abrasions, even lacerations will not be discernible. The changes of the skin and the underlying soft tissues they will have occurred, I don’t care how good the embalming process was, how her medically sealed the casket was, too much time has elapsed.

Drowning is a difficult diagnosis to make with a freshly-recovered body. It is a diagnosis that you make on an exclusionary basis. You rule out everything and then you make findings that are consistent with and suggestive of drowning.

    (CROSSTALK)

NAUERT: What if she did not die of drowning? For example, what if her neck was broken or she was strangled?

WECHT: Well, sure, sure. If the autopsy was so inadequate, so incompetent that they did not examine the neck and she had fractures of the thyroid and cricoid cartilages of the hyoid bone, a little u-shaped bone, high up under the mandible, ah, yes, if there is a fracture there, you have got a clear-cut case of strangulation.

What if they didn’t examine the head? What if they didn’t examine the cervical vertebrae and they are fractured. Yes, that all may be there.

    GIBSON: Dr. Wecht.

WECHT: One would have to see the autopsy report.

GIBSON: . more than that, there is a gash in the head. They may be defensive wounds where she was putting her hands up. She may have broken legs. I mean don’t the bones tell you anything?

    WECHT: Oh, yes.

GIBSON: Dr. Baden, your colleague told Greta it’s homicide.

NAUERT: OK, Mary Frances, let me get back to you. There is a hearing I understand that is taking place tomorrow. What do we expect to come out of that?

BRAGIEL: You mean the search that’s going on?

NAUERT: Well I understand that there is a legal, some sort of a legal hearing. Can you give us any information about that?

BRAGIEL: No, at this point I have no information on a legal hearing that’s going on. I can just talk to you about the search that I do that continues. We are in day eight of the search and in fact they’re hoping for more volunteers tomorrow because I’m told by a family spokesperson they’re going to be looking at ground that they haven’t looked at before, although the head of Texas EquuSearch tells me that they are shifting their focus more towards the water and bringing in more sonar equipment.

NAUERT: OK, so continuing the search. Dr. Cyril Wecht and Mary Frances Bragiel, thank you very much.

    WECHT: Thank you.

NAUERT: Now we go on to brand new information that we have coming out tonight about another one of Drew Peterson’s marriages. The daughter of his second marriage says that her mother was afraid of Peterson. She spoke out last night for the first time to FOX’s Greta Van Susteren and she was taped in silhouette in order to protect her identity.

    (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

LISA, DAUGHTER OF PETERSON’S SECOND WIFE: He was abusive to my mother. He was very controlling to her, watched every move that she had made. I told her she doesn’t have to be afraid of him anymore, but obviously he had hurt her, you know, so badly all those years ago that she still thinks about that. He used to tell my mother that he could kill her and make it look like an accident.

    (END VIDEO CLIP)

GIBSON: With us now Stacy and Drew Peterson’s neighbor, Sharon Bychowski and live on the phone is Kerry Simmons, Stacy’s stepsister.

If I could go to Sharon first — Sharon, you have a lot of experience with him. You are Drew’s next door neighbor. I think we have seen you in pictures taking care of the kids at the time of the search warrant. What is your experience with Drew — friendly guy? You liked him a lot or not?

SHARON BYCHOWSKI, PETERSON NEIGHBOR: You know Drew was always very much a friendly guy. And if you knew him and you didn’t know what was really going on behind that door, you would think he is everyone’s best neighbor, so.

    GIBSON: But you know different?

BYCHOWSKI: You know I know that Stacy and him were having quite a lot of challenges and that her goal was really to get this divorce and move her kids out of the house, so she was very unhappy.

GIBSON: Kerry Simmons, here we have this, you know, so many people seem to be afraid of Drew Pearson — what were they — Peterson — excuse me — what were they so scared of?

KERRY SIMMONS, STACY PETERSON’S STEP-SISTER (via phone): You know, I don’t think it’s maybe that fear doesn’t come from personally knowing him, but just the fact that it seems a few other women were involved as having the same problems as Stacy did just makes him look like a scary guy, I think.

NAUERT: Well it sounds like there is a pattern here, a pattern of Drew threatening women, trying to tell them that basically he is the law, to look out, that they could never divorce him. What kind of light can you shed on that?

SIMMONS: I just — I think maybe it was just the position he carried in law enforcement, and also, you know Stacy was younger when she met him, and you know, to her, he was, you know was able to provide a lot of things for her, but as the years went by, you know, as the problems started, she began to realize that that wasn’t the way a relationship was supposed to go and.

NAUERT: Sharon, you have advised that she keep a journal. Why is that?

BYCHOWSKI: You know I did. I advised her that it would be smart to let her friends and her family know what was really going on day by day and how her thoughts were. She said it really didn’t matter because she would be dead anyway, and she didn’t think there was any value in that.

GIBSON: Sharon, did you have any personal experience with Drew that would confirm for you why all these ex-wives are either disappeared or afraid of him?

BYCHOWSKI: You know to the outside person, including myself, he never showed that side of him. I only know what Stacy told me daily.

GIBSON: Well when she said she would be dead when you talked about this journal, what did you think?

BYCHOWSKI: I thought it was really time for her to get a divorce and get her children safely out of the house.

NAUERT: Do you know if she ever did keep that journal?

BYCHOWSKI: No, I do not believe she had a journal at all.

GIBSON: All right, Sharon Bychowski and Kerry Simmons, thanks to both of you.

    SIMMONS: Thank you.

    BYCHOWSKI: Thank you.

ex-law’s daughter has lost her husband, and for that I am very, very sorry. God bless her and their children.

How ex-law, her mother, can get on a blog and express how supportive a suspect in a murder is, along with his paid attorney, escapes me. God bless ex-law. She needs it.

My prayers got out to you, Rescueapet, upon the loss of your heart and soul.

    You need it.

  140. From crimefilenews.com (story on Mike K. and Stacy Peterson):
Either Kurdenok is telling the truth or not. The way to find out is to begin by asking him to take a polygraph examination. If Kurdenok is telling the truth Stacy Peterson made it clear she was going to run away and hide. If Kurdenok is lying he just became a suspect in a very big way.

Another disturbing fact is that Kurdenok claims that Stacy Peterson never mentions her children in her run away plans. I find that beyond incredible.

And from crimefilenews.com (comments under story about Mike K.):

    Crimefile said…
That is all the ISP put in the warrant affidavit about that interview. I guess like me you’ll have to direct your inquiry to the ISP or like I did Mr. Kurdenok.

Unlike so many of the folks wanting to lynch Drew Peterson are saying there was no mention of Stacy Peterson being afraid of her husband or concern for the children.

Because this was so early in this investigation and those things were NOT mentioned I see the dire need to follow up of Mr. Kurdenok right now.

    _________________

    I’m confused by “Crimefile.”

In the actual story, he says Mike K. claims that Stacy Peterson never mentions her children in her run away plans.

In his own comment under that same story, he says, “That is all the ISP put in the warrant affidavit about that interview.”

If the paragraph from the search warrant is all that the ISP put in the warrant, how does “Crimefile” know that Mike K. said Stacy never mentioned her children?

I’ll post the same question to “Crimefile” on his blog.

  141. You have a point there, Noway, but he doesn’t allow comments, or at least hasn’t yet, that aren’t written by him.

Nor has he answered questions about whether HE has ever taped someone to get valuable information for his own investigations.

    That makes me very sad.

It has me perplexed today. Hmmmmmmmmmm

  148. Rescue, I’m afraid I have to agree with giveitarest and mzinformed on this one.

The expression of condolences for Exlaw, her daughter, and/or the kids should have ended there.

    Kidding, right?

    But only for 1-Paragraph-Mike?

  161. Hey Rescue Hey Facs. Hope your well. O/T I wonder…do either of you know what happened this week at the GJ ?

  162. Anytime. I noticed things competely died over at Len’s site. Interesting. Makes me wonder what the deal is.

  163. Wonder – it died down because there was so much hateful, mean posts going on because of the anonymous stuff. Now that you have to use a nic, it’s pretty tame.

  164. Yeah I guess that would explain it. I can’t wait until it comes out what is on the wire taps. I really want to know what JB asked L & P to do that was wrong. I can’t even begin to imagine. This whole case just blows me away sometimes

  165. Hello,

I’m habibti…I post at kimmer’s forum. I just stopped by to clear up any confusion for anyone here still being misled by rescueapet.

We do indeed have a poster at our forum who one day, while espressing her exasperation at reading the posts over here, joked that it’s enough to make you wish harm on someone. As rescue is well aware, because she reads, with baited breath, everything we write over there…we have explained several times, in response to rescue’s continued reference to it, that this was exaggeration, a joke, and certainly not intended to be taken seriously.

No one on our forum actually wishes harm to anyone here, beyond perhaps a wish that rescue would lose her internet service, or that the feathers stuck in her keyboard might render it inoperable.

    Good day, everyone.

    *wave* Hey, Hab!

  167. Just diving in and out quick….regards to everyone.Wonder…don’t know the details, but Len said it had to do with messing Joe Hosey up somehow because JB said he misquoted him.

    🙂 thumbs up, Rescue

Maybe hell has frozen over, but Crimefile posted my question on his blog.

I think Facsmiley must have a magic touch!

I don’t think his response actually proves that the question was asked whether Stacy planned to take her children with her. He indicates that there are certain questions LE should ask and if children were involved, it sometimes makes the search warrant easier to obtain.

Without hearing from LE (ISP), I don’t think I can agree with Crimefile that because there was no mention of Stacy’s kids in Mike’s statement that means she was not planning to take them.

    https://www
    .blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=19929098&postID=9005618876324016716&page=1

  169. “You are assuming you know what questions were asked of Mike because you know what questions SHOULD have been asked of him.”

    This was a good point.

    His answers aren’t as good.

  170. Snipped:

Why would Kurdenok be afraid to help reporters and a licensed private investigator trying to find Stacy Peterson? Kurdenok actions and demeanor have done nothing to help anyone find Stacy Peterson. If anything I cannot begin to rule Kurdenok out as a suspect in this case. Now Kurdenok won’t help anyone. The foul odor Kurdenok has emitted is overwhelming.

So in this statement is he confirming he is working for Drew’s Dreamers Team ❓

BTW, lynch mob or cinch job?

    I say the latter 😉

  171. Paul is a PI. He should find out what it was the Joel tried to get Len and Paula to do to Hosey… Or he could jsut ask him next time they speak.

I do detect a foul odor when I read at Pauly’s, but it ain’t Kudenok.

Luckily, PI’s hired by suspects don’t get to determine who else in the case is a suspect. What a wacky world THAT would b.

  172. Well, it’s nice to know that we weren’t whistling Dixie when we said we thought Paul was working for Drew.

“I’m not clairvoyant and have to rely on tips and documents from people like you. ”

I think I actually spit out my cracklin’ bran when I read that. It was so obvious that Joel was feeding him info and documents.

  173. Now it’s even more important to write those emails to the Herald News/Sun-times if you haven’t yet.

It’s clear now that Paul is in no way a Blogger with an interest in due process giving his opinions about a case.

He may not be on actual retainer but he’s working for Drew and Brodsky.

  174. He must be doing exactly what others accuse people that are actually really trying to help of doing.

    Money or fame.

We are just getting the crumbs, can you imagine 7 months of this stuff?

Rescue, that was a terribly insensitive post about Exlaw. How could you couple comment of a personal family tragedy with a person’s opinion.

I am sickened by your comment, not that it matters, however I think you are being incredibly rude. I am shocked that you can’t put personal difference aside. The entire second half of your post is completely un-necessary. Ugh.
    …………………………………………………………………

Hey, she is the one that brought up Drew and Joel in the post.

She was the one that is taking the opertunity to try to further the nice guy/selig look for Drew in a statement about her loss.

Did she ever give Stacy’s family any kind of break because of their loss???

    Hell no.
