Lisa’s parents fight for a second visit

    September 8, 2008Recommend

    The Herald News
JOLIET — Scheduling visits between Lisa Stebic’s parents and her children isn’t going so well.

In July, the parties reached an agreement on a petition that was filed by the missing Plainfield mom’s parents and grandparents – Lawrence and Judith Ruttenberg and Milton and Charlotte Ruttenberg – in November seeking visits with the two Stebic kids.

Communication between the Ruttenbergs and Lisa’s husband, Craig Stebic, apparently broke down after an initial visit this summer.

Lawyers were in court Friday for a status hearing, where they scheduled a meeting with Judge Robert Brumund for Sept. 12.

The Ruttenbergs’ attorney, Timothy Daw, said in court that Craig is unreasonably withholding a second visit, and that Craig had decided “the children have no desire to see their grandparents.”

Dion Davi, Craig’s attorney, immediately said that was false. He said the Ruttenbergs provided them with a list of dates for future visits. When they responded with a chosen date and time, the Ruttenbergs rejected it, Davi said.

The visitation agreement is confidential, as well as the date of the visit, which Davi said went well.

Lisa was reported missing May 1, 2007. Despite extensive searches and investigation, no trace of her has been found.

Police have named Craig a “person of interest” in Lisa’s disappearance, but he has not been charged in connection with the case.

    • Stebic will get his truck, but not the guns

  2. Derek’s pimpin’ his own book hard. I’m still looking for anything to show that DA was ever a private investigator.:

Drew Peterson Exposed — New Evidence Presents a Stinging Indictment

    by Derek Armstrong

Canadian journalist and past private investigator Derek Armstrong, author of several crime novels, investigates Drew Peterson and reveals explosive new evidence in the disappearance of Stacy Peterson and death of Kathy Savio.
This breaking-news investigative examination sheds new light on one of the most provocative and high profile criminal investigations in the country, and presents perhaps the most stinging indictment of Drew Peterson to date. The new evidence and contents of the book remain under strict embargo until October 1, 2008, when the key points will be revealed on national television.

October 28, 2008 marks the one year anniversary of Stacy Peterson’s disappearance. Since then, her husband Drew Peterson has been at the center of a media storm which shows no sign of abating—his most recent appearance on national television was one of the highest-rated television segments this year.

He is a person of interest in the disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson in October 2007, and his involvement in the death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio, is now under renewed police scrutiny.

As a introduction to the new evidence, the author draws on hundreds of hours of exclusive interviews with Drew Peterson and a complete private investigation, this journalistic inquiry. The facts and testimony assembled here shed new light on the details of the police investigations, the possible timelines, and the motives ascribed to Peterson. Conflicting witness accounts, false leads, widespread rumors, and red herrings that have dogged the case are analyzed and 140 photographs and documents (including many private family photos published here for the first time) go beyond the headlines to the heart of this sensational story. The frank and unvarnished portrait of Drew Peterson that emerges is bound to provoke further controversy.

  3. Don’t his ears burn when he writes stuff like this?

Three Titles from Brilliant author Derek Armstrong in 2008

  4. Or this?

Five books. Five book reviews. Every review is a rave and each is written by an author from the Kunati stable. I guess if my publisher asked me to say something nice about a book he had written, I might do it too.

The whole Kunati Klan is like that though. Go to Amazon or where ever and read a review of any Kunati title. Odds are that it was written by another Kunati author. They don’t even try to disguise the fact.

  5. Hi peeporinos!

It doesn’t appear that many are paying any attention to DA’ s book. Or press releases.

    Wot, no Selig-meister? LOL

  6. Fox news studio B reported, that Caseys brother and two friends, helped her get past cameras, on the way to her lawyers office. Once THEY THOUGHT they were out of site, they high fived each other.
They still think it’s a game. Sick, sick people!!!

  7. Facs – they’re a dysfunctional lot! I’m so sickened that they have the audacity, on top of everything else, to wear those shirts they do as if that baby is alive.

I’d love to believe she is, but with everything the mother-from-hell has been telling the cops turning out to be lies, I know it’s not to be. All the more reason for them to crawl into their dysfunctional house, STFU and stay there until this is all over. Whatever “over” may be.

  8. I feel it is imperative to DNA test JP Chatt if for no other reason than to clear the Anthony’s of the incestuous implications we are all hearing about. Baby Caylee and JP are as identical as twins if you ask me. It would be interesting to see his pictures as a toddler.

But JP, if you’re reading, please have this test done? Caylee at least has the right to have her true father identified – and one less lie from her mother’s mouth….. 😦

  9. Rescue –

Google JP Chatt and then all the way at the bottom is HumbleOpinion – Could this be Caylee’s Biological Father??

Check it out – there’s no doubt in my mind…..

  10. If I had to choose an answer whether I think they look alike, I’d certainly have to say yes.

Everything about this whole Caylee disappearance is a mess!

  11. If nothin else, JP would have one heck of a wrongful death suit and get the upcoming millions of dollars these strange folks are about to collect.

He could start a foundation of some sort and take this blood money out of the hands of the Anthony’s. A foundation in Caylee’s name….

  12. While I do think JP and Caylee look alike, I haven’t been able to find out whether JP knew Casey before she was pregnant.

He was roommates with Amy and Ricardo but Casey only met Amy and Ricardo within the last year or so (Ricardo in February; not sure about Amy).
