  1. Casey Anthony’s lawyer has raft of requests for judge
    Oct 10, 2008

Casey Anthony followed by reporters and photographers — is expected to appear in Orange County court this morning as a judge hears nearly a dozen legal requests in the high-profile case. OrlandoSentinel.com will have live coverage of the hearing starting at 10:30 a.m.

  2. I wonder…….If he might indeed be trying to hide something, since he does not want to give up his DNA, perhaps a past crime ? It could be anything. Strange family. I see a murder conviction in the near future with that case. She’ll be on death row before they ever arrest Peterson the way things are going in Illinios.

  3. TruTV is covering the hearing .. it will be on shortly .. lisa Bloom is covering it 🙂 just thought id tell you all 🙂

  4. This is freaking scary.

World Bank Under Cyber Siege in ‘Unprecedented Crisis’
    Friday, October 10, 2008

    By Richard Behar

The World Bank Group’s computer network — one of the largest repositories of sensitive data about the economies of every nation — has been raided repeatedly by outsiders for more than a year, FOX News has learned.

It is still not known how much information was stolen. But sources inside the bank confirm that servers in the institution’s highly-restricted treasury unit were deeply penetrated with spy software last April. Invaders also had full access to the rest of the bank’s network for nearly a month in June and July.

In total, at least six major intrusions — two of them using the same group of IP addresses originating from China — have been detected at the World Bank since the summer of 2007, with the most recent breach occurring just last month.

In a frantic midnight e-mail to colleagues, the bank’s senior technology manager referred to the situation as an “unprecedented crisis.” In fact, it may be the worst security breach ever at a global financial institution. And it has left bank officials scrambling to try to understand the nature of the year-long cyber-assault, while also trying to keep the news from leaking to the public.

This thought came to me in the middle of the night too.

Because LA did seem to be so willing to help in the beginning … emails from Casey’s computer, summaries of conversations with Casey and her parents, and it was odd that he would not want to rule out the DNA found in trunk as his own (if that is why they were asking for it).

Yes, there are people that just don’t like LE and want them to jump through hoops to get what they want, but LA did not strike me as that kind of guy.

I’ll have to see if I can find TruTV. Thanks, Sonia!

  6. I don’t get Lee not wanting to cooperate either. I am 100% certain that if my sister did something as much as I love her I would be giving the police every single piece of evidence they needed if she did harm one of her kids.

Does she have him bamboozled too? Is he becoming paranoid? Did he have something to do with moving her body?

  7. I can understand their denial, but I don’t understand their promoting her lies as though there’s some validity to what she says, and using the media, public and search organizations to further enable the liar. They’ve made a mess of this whole thing by coddling her!

  8. FYI, a few people have been emailing Judy DeVriendt who is running for State’s Attorney of Will County against Glosgow. They’ve given permission to post the contents of her replies so, here you go:

We do need a change in this County. I had a debate with Glasgow last night in New Lenox. He spoke of all the wonderful things he has done for women, but he would not address the case of a man who raped his 10 year old sister repeatedly causing her to become pregnant at the age of 12. Glasgow attempted to reduce his charges from a mandatory prison sentence to a class A misdemeanor, without having to register as a sex offender, so that he could live in our neighborhoods next to our children. Or the rapist of a 76 year old women, who’s case he reduced from a mandatory prison sentence to probation and alcohol counseling. These are just a few of the cases that, along with the Peterson, Savio, Stebic and Mellon cases that show his total lack of respect and justice for the women of this county.

Word of mouth is our best tool in winning this election. We have literature, signs and friend to friend cards. If you would like to distribute any of our materials, please give me or Sue a call at (815) 723-8300 or just email.

    Thank you for your support.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I am always happy to provide as much information to the voters as possible. Well educated voters makes for good government.

I am as appalled as most people by the “Drew Peterson Circus.” I don’t know when, in Will County, we started to try our cases in the media. I have always known Glasgow to be a media hound, but this case has given Will County a bad rap.

I was an Assistant State’s Attorney at the time that Rachel Mellon disappeared. Glasgow would not indict her step-father without a body. Although the case was purely circumstantial, I had won circumstantial murder cases before, and believed that there was enough evidence to charge her step-father. Unfortunately, Glasgow never valued the opinions of the female Assistant State’s Attorneys.

I am not privy to any information in the Kathleen Savio, Stacy Peterson, or Lisa Stebic cases. I only know what I read in the papers or hear in the Courthouse. If in fact, there are audio tapes of Drew Peterson making statements about the disappearance of Stacy and his role in that disappearance, my question is why isn’t Drew in jail?

If I am elected as State’s Attorney I will personally review all of these cases and if there is enough evidence to charge these crimes, I will charge. I do not believe that a body is necessary to achieve a conviction for murder. I will be a State’s Attorney who will not be afraid to make the tough decision.

Thank you for you concern and please keep fighting with me.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to call me at (815) 723-8300.

Drew Peterson says: Read new book
    October 10, 2008

By DAN ROZEK Sun-Times News Group
Drew Peterson says he hasn’t read the new book about him yet. He’s waiting for free copies he’s been promised. But he thinks other people should read it…

So…didn’t Drew appear on the CBS early show on September 29th and on WGN news stating that the book was “too negative?”

But now he thinks everyone should read it.

They really need to decide how they want to market this book. Is it “the most stinging indictment to date” or does it build a case for Drew as a misunderstood man “a good father, a moral enigma, but not a killer?”

  10. Facs – it’s just like Armie’s position in the book. He talks out of both sides of his mouth. In the book, he claims Peterson is Mr. Mom and not a killer, and, on the other hand, he questions his innocence and can’t make a call on it.

Isn’t that contradictory? He’s not an unbiased author. He took up two different positions, and now he’s on the media circuit to try and get books sales by leaning on the side of most of the public. That is, thinking Peterson IS a killer.

  11. You’re so right, rescue. He wants to be on the winning side. He’s got no excuse.

How can I listen to the tapes he released?

  12. yes Rescue that was the way I saw it. At first he was all for inocent Drew, but I guess his book reviews weren’t that favourable so he switched his opinion of Drew so he might sell more books…

  13. One other thing. He’s also a horseman and I’ve been around horses all my life and some of the biggest crooks are in the horse business. So I wouldn’t trust him…..

  14. bucket – apparently they are available upon request. Why don’t you ask for them?

Media Note: Broadcast quality audio recordings are available for download upon request.

Contact: Derek Armstrong, email: exposed@kunati.com or phone: (647) 273-5331.

  15. Qhorses – what I’ve noted is that in public, Armstrong has always made it sound as if the book is an indictment of Drew (since the public overwhelmingly thinks he is guilty).

It’s only within the pages of the book (even the jack appears pro-guilt) that he reveals the pro-innocence bias.

It makes sense in a way, because he doesn’t care what you think about after you buy the book. His only motivation is to make the sale. So waht if you end up realizing that he is a sell-out and a fraud – you’ve already paid for the book!

  16. Facs – EXACTLY! He’ll promote it anyway he can to boost sales. What does he care what anyone thinks of Peterson/Brodsky/Armstrong? He just wants people to buy the book.

He’s now with Selig, who’s getting him on tv and radio. Peterson says buy the book. Why? If he’s not participating in the profits, why does Peterson want anyone to buy this book? The latest publicity/promos cast Peterson as a liar, and, once again, sliming his wives, et al.

Just where is the money from sales going?

  17. Yeah – Drew doesn’t want the money, he just wants to get “his side out there” by way of this “impartial” book, which I hear is a “stinging indictment” of Peterson in which Drew “flunks” the polygraph about his wife Stacy, while showing “86-89 percent chance of non-guilt”, and convincing the “uncomfortable” author that he is “not a killer.”

    What a freakin’ poop storm.

  18. I wonder how Steve Peterson can defend his father’s actions in the book, regardless of whether he feels his father is innocent of being a suspect in Stacy’s disappearance, and questionable involvement in Kathleen’s death, when his father blatantly and openly slimed Kathleen, the mother of his half-brothers? How can ANYONE defend that?

He’s lucky he has a mother, one that was a Mrs. Peterson and escaped that fiasco alive! How would he feel if Peterson slimed his mother? How does he face his teen half-brothers, knowing that their mother’s memory is being damaged by their sick pos father?

Peterson is “kind” enough to spread his joy at the prospect of becoming a grandfather. Stephen is expecting his first child. OMG, is all I can say to that!

  19. Peterson wanted the proceeds to be passed along to his “FIVE” children (he has SIX). That’s the deal he wanted with Phelps. Obviously, he must’ve set up the same arrangements. So, he may not be getting the proceeds, but his share are, most likely, going into a fund for his children.

From a book that tries to destroy the reputations of the mothers of his children.

  20. From Hang_Drew’s site:

    DrewMakesMeSpew said…
I just watched the Mike and Juliet show and Armstrong was on it and said he thinks they don’t have enough to charge him UNFORTUNATELY, this guy is playing both sides of the fence, he also stated that Drew’s lawyer’s controlled what questions would be asked and answered during the polygraph, the most important question of all would have been “Did you kill Kathleen?” “Did you kill Stacy” and those weren’t allowed to be asked!

this asshole is no better than the Suspect, he’s playing both sides against the middle all for interviews and promotion for this book, which is what any writer would do is promote their book but he’s banking on the “sinister sells” label attached to Drew.

“impartial” is just his way of riding this out, if he’s on a show that is clearly anti Drew he rides that fence towards guilt, if he’s on a show that doesn’t express doubt towards Drew he rides the “not enough evidence, innocence until proven guilty” angle

just another person making a buck off the deaths of two women, cha ching!

  21. M and J did their best to get Armstrong to nail down his opinion on Drew’s guilt but he just would not do it.

The most he would say was that if he was investigating the case he would have serious concerns but that he just doesn’t feel there’s enough evidence to get a conviction.

Of course, he doesn’t know what evidence LE has….

  22. Geraldo made a nice point about how people like Drew get free legal representation, free PR, comped at bars, etc.

Oh well, they’ll make their money when they write thier books…

  23. qhorses // October 10, 2008 at 1:09 pm

yep I think he swings on both sides of the gate…..
    *************************

Watch it now Q. We aren’t allowed to talk about people sexual preferences on this blog! 😉

  24. In case you haven’t had enough of the media blitz for Drew’s book, here’s another appearance – Drew-sympathizer, Dana Pretzer’s usually very dull radio show tonight:

The Dana Pretzer Show On Scared Monkeys Radio – Friday, October 10, 2008 – Tonight A Scared Monkeys Exclusive! “Drew Peterson Exposed”!

Tonight, Dana moderates the discussion between Derek Armstrong, author of Drew Peterson Exposed, Drew Peterson and his attorney Joel Brodsky. A Scared Monkeys Radio Exclusive! All three guests will be “exposed” and discuss the book and its accusations.

LISTEN LIVE TONIGHT AT 9PM EASTERN

    http://scaredmonkeys.com/2008/10/10/the-dana-pretzer-show-on-scared-monkeys-radio-friday-october-10-2008-tonight-a-scared-monkeys-exclusive-drew-peterson-exposed/

  25. LOL, Selig is whining because people are focusing on the questions Peterson answered deceptively rather than the ones he answered correctly? It’s getting muckier and muckier with Peterson’s entourage by the minute. A lawyer who hangs his client out to wither in the wind by lining him up with a polygraph he’s totally against and allows him to be tape recorded, a “PI” blogger who says witchcraft exposed Peterson, not his lawyer or even himself, a PR guy who puts out his own spin on things because people aren’t listening to the right answers, and a murder suspect who just can’t keep his puss out of the media for more than a week at a time.

If Armie’s right and there’s not enough evidence to charge Drew Peterson with anything, heaven help us! Because, when Kathleen died, there probably was more than enough evidence, and someone hid it, covered up for it and blew it!

  26. Facs…..oops I didn’t mean it that way I meant agrees with what is benificial to him at the time. I forgot that it also meant that but I think that someone here already stated that about him….

  27. The only reason I think it could be interesting is that we haven’t heard any exchanges yet between Drew and Derek.

I want to see if Derek goes into “pro-innocence” mode when speaking directly with Drew and Joel.

We could spice it up with a drinking game, no?

Drink when the following is mentioned:

    1. “Geraldo”
    3. “we” as in “we got her a boob job”
    4. “showed deception”
    5. “lynch mob”
    6. “sensationalism”
    7. “troubling”
    8. “my side of the story”
    9. “negative”

    Drink twice when:

    1. Drew laughs at an inapprorate time
    2. Joel stutters
    3. Joel starts and ends a reply with the same sentence

    Down your glass if:

    Drew mentions a movie deal.

  28. Selig’s agency is playing on both sides of the fence too, as far as promoting Peterson’s innocence or lack of it!

On one hand, he issues the press releases that try to drag Peterson out of the fires. On the other hand, now Armie is using this agency to get bookings, etc., but I haven’t seen Selig’s name associated with him. Just the “agency.” Hmmmm.

  29. Well, his name is on the bottom of that page:

    http://www.prnewschannel.com/

Ohh, and at the top too “A Selig Multimedia Inc. Company” so it’s not like he’s exaclty unassociated with it.

I’m going to start calling that whole Drew, Joel, Armstrong, Selig (and others I’m sure) clump, the ClusterPoop.

  30. a bonus cheer if not a drink for “people pretending to be my friend” or a chorus with a choir of tiny virtual violins LOL

  31. Dana will inevitabley tell us how he his show is better than what you’ll get on the ‘main stream media’, but that’s only worth making nose-air at.

  32. Hey Gatehouse – asked earlier, in case you missed it. Did you request the audio tapes of Armstrong, available to the “media?” If so, will you comment on them?

  33. Good evening. I have looked over this thread several times, and decided to join. It seems well run, and most insightful. Hope I can add to the discussion. As to Drew’s so called book, in my opinion it is a book to make Drew look good. Well,
I’m afraid it is going to back fire on him. lol jmo

  34. I’m listening to the radio show right now with Peterson, Brodsky and Armie, and it’s a sham and a shame what these idiots are doing. Drew is unhappy with the book, Brodsky is continuing to say he was against the poly, and Dana, the interviewer is star struck over having Drew as an interview. Drew Peterson said his 13 year old son is “pissed off” that the author put in the book that he said his mother and father were arguing. Unbelievable. You mean to tell me the young man isn’t peed at his father for saying such unkind things about his mother, Kathleen? OMG.

This Dana guy sucks up to Peterson and Brodsky like an adoring fan. The man is biased and a horrible interviewer.

  35. I have to resluctantly give Armstrong some serious cred here. He did bring up some damaging stuff against the overwhelming Drew-love on the show.

  36. The lowest point was when Armstrong mentioned the many Drew’s many infidelities and Pretzer tried to explain it away by saying that it’s a “police thing”. So. Unprofessional.

  37. This was a horrible night for Peterson. There’s no other way to say it.

Pretzer was the blocker for anything that Armstrong said or asked that was not helpful to Peterson.

Whatever anyone thinks now about Peterson’s guilt or not, who can defend this man’s tactics of dragging into a radio interview his 13 year old son by saying he was “pissed off” that he was misquoted in the book!!!!!!!!!

His mother was called some horrible names and things. Oh, I have to take a break. This is just mind boggling what a zombie this man is!

  38. Would you think Peterson’s 13 year old son would be horrified and “pissed” off that his father showed the utmost disrespect and distain for his late mother.

This is the same child that asked Santa to give his mom a divorce from his dad because of her unhappiness, right?

    Argh!!!!!!!!!!!

  39. I hope the Stacy Peterson supporters put up 1,000 pictures of Stacy and Kathleen all over their lawns now, because if this pos can admit that his teen sons are privy to what is in the book about their mother, they NEED to see the smiling faces of Kathleen and Stacy now. Because, their father, the Prince of Darkness, has cast a dark cloud over their memories for sure. He gets a pass, and people trying to keep these women “alive” in the news get vilified.

    Go figure.

  40. I’m shocked to admit it but Armstrong’s faraway voice at times was like the quiet voice of sanity in room full of noisy drunks.

I can’t forgive him for writing that cruel sell-out of a book, but I’ll give him points for speaking up tonight in the midst of that “I love you bro!” frat party.

  41. I want someone to admit that the damage this man is causing to his children, by the disparaging remarks and insinuations he is making about two dead women who can’t speak up for themselves, is beyond reason!

Where’s the outrage for the well being of these kids? Don’t they deserve good memories of their moms. Aren’t they worthy, like Stephen and Eric, who still have their beloved mother?

When is someone going to help those kids and get them the hell away from that maniac.

Kris and Tom – two dead mothers, and all he can say is “my 13 year old is pissed off” over something in the book about what he said.

  42. Yes, Rescue. Peterson’s total disregard for both of those women and what their loss means to his kids is just appalling.

I couldn’t believe that within minutes of Armstrong mentioning how Drew’s attitude towards and treatment of women was going to be important in consideration of his status as a suspect in the case, Drew was bragging about two carloads of women coming to his door yesterday to take pictures with him.

Can you imagine how those kids felt looking out the window to see that? But a picture of their mom on the lawn next door is damaging them…

If callousness and stupidity and could put you in jail, he’d have been there long ago.

  43. Well put, facs. I guess it takes a special person, a dark, evil one, to be able to flippantly pass from the loss of a spouse to a carload of women at the snap of the fingers. I just can’t get past the thought of what he’s done to his kids. Not only taken away their moms, but destroying, in a haphazard way, any memory of them to carry them through their young lives. What’s even more mind boggling is a radio interviewer that can hear him make a stupid remark such as he did, and not even have the guts to call him on it. Especially, since he was talking about a book written about him, presenting him to the public as Mr. Mom.

Drew Peterson’s idea of a wife and mother is a whore on an internet site. And, that’s straight for ass’s mouth. Remember, when he was chatting with Ashley, and he told Ashley he needed her to complete him?

  44. I haven’t listened to the latest Pretzer yet, but he was way jerky on the last one. Has he sorted out his audible mouth breathing?Put me right off.

I bet Drew was dying to get in the comment about Kris, JB was too, I bet. Nice of DP to try to testify for him. Alas that is a very important point in the timeline. God bless the little chap.

Anyone else notice the way dp does that laugh or the stupid baby voice at the tricky bits?

  45. Still haven’ listened to the radio thing, but have been searching frantically for where I read something a day or two ago. Still can’t find it.

It said that there was blood clotted on the bottom of the tub. That’s why I’m going mad trying to find it. Dilute blood doesn’t clot! It would only clot in a dry or nearly dry tub.

  46. Still no luck. If that’s the case, though, that would be an enormous indicator of staging, and more obvious than reconstructing the injuries, etc. If there was a pool of clotted blood on the bottom of the tub, there is now way she bled into water.

  47. Good morning Bucket. Sorry for what? That wasn’t necessary! Hope you do find it. I’ll do a little looking for you too.

  48. From acandyrose

November 23rd, 2007 4:42 PM Eastern, GretaCast – OTR PRODUCER GETS AMBULANCE REPORT! LISTEN HERE!!!, by Greta Van Susteren – (acandyrose.com HERE listening to audio file:”Report: “Dispatched to the above for signs of life, upon arrival met by PD officer stated response for well being check, (Steph: “that’s interesting”) and found the patient unresponsive in the tub. Heard PD and neighbors last seen Saturday evening. On assessment, found patient on left side in bathtub with wet hair and molting and pooling to the right shoulder and left elbow. Blood dried and coagulated on bottom of tub. Patient cold to touch. Placed on EEG on ???.” (Steph: “Baden’s looking at that.”) And it’s got, “turned over to PD”, that PD officer would have been Drew Peterson because at that time there was no police there and the well being check doesn’t go with the story we’ve told. He [Baden] also thought it was interesting that there was dried and coagulated blood in the bottom of the tub so Dr. Baden has a copy of this and he’s looking over that now and he’s going to talk about it on the show tonight. I’m working on getting the crime scene photos to Baden because he would like to look at them for his final report on his autopsy that he did for the family.”

  49. Ooooh posted before I refreshed. Thanks, fellas.

I’m far less suspicious of the ECG. There are protocols for that kind of thing and they may differ from place to place. No dr present to pronounce death, obliged to check with minimal contact with potential hazardous/infected material.

I could bore you endlessly about blood.

  50. Interesting discrepencies , as usual.

I started typing up the Pretzer interview last night. I’m about half done but I’ll post link when it’s finished.

It wouldn’t take so long if Joel would just take a breath and then speak instead of strating four different sentences before deciding on one. he’s a transcriptionist’s nightmare.

  51. And thank you so much rescue via candyrose and vice-versa. That must be where I saw it but for some reason I had it in my head it was somewhere obscure. Thanks. Have an essential oil ear massage and a sausage.

  52. Hey all, here is a rush transcript of the Dana Pretzer Sacred Monkeys show last night with Drew Peterson, Joel brodsky and Derek Armstrong.

Consider this a rush transcritpt. I did not go back to re-listen and correct anything mis-heard, etc.

  53. Joel Brodsaky: … Nobody could ever say this is any type of exoneration of Drew. …

And yet, didn’t Drew Peterson say this book was going to prove his innocence? Guess that was before he read the book.

  54. On the polygraph regarding Kathleen Savio, Drew is totally exon — if you believe in polygraphs that is — and I personally don’t — but if you believe in polygraphs, Drew is exonerated totally on Kathleen Savio’s case.

And this would be Joel also … wo I’m not sure which he believes! 🙄

  55. I love when Pretzer asked Drew if he was actually exposed in the book Drew Peterson Exposed, and he said, “I don’t know.”

At times, he seems to have ADD or something.

  56. Pretzer: “I’m looking at the cover right now and in fact I see a picture of Drew Peterson in the polygraph examiner’s suite I believe…”

He Did Not Read The Book.

  57. Drew’s characterization of the questions he missed as not being ‘meat and potato’ questions was pretty funny.

Of course, Armstrong told us on the Mike and Juliet show that he wasn’t allowed to just ask “Did you kill Stacy?”

  58. PETERSON: My response? Well on one question it was like, did she tell you she was running away with another man in the phone call and I said (pause) “yes”…

It’s interesting that he actually seemd to have to reach back and remember how he answererd the question. There was quite a pause.

  59. Is there a word for something that stinks and sucks? JB/DP….if they’ve got no financial interest in the book and theyre “not happy” why on earth are they doing their best to pitch it? (there’s so much in it you can’t find anywhere else etc.)

I apologize if this turns out mostly in italics. 🙂

  60. Yes, it ‘s downright schizoid to hear Joel saying that he wishes Drew had never done the book, while Pretzer pushes Drew to say why he doesn’t like it, while they’re trying their best to promote the crap out of it.

  61. I honeslty think that they are confused themselves and regret that they had to give up so much of the control of the content (and the tapes!) in order to ‘put Drew’s story out there’.

Geez, all we’ve heard for the last year is Drew’s story. Couldn’t we all recite it by heart?

  62. Gawd that Pretzer is a frightful windbag. I guess I’m so used to great broadcasting (bbc) it makes P unbearable. He would do well to listen to the World Service for some pointers. He sounded very jealous of Mike and Juliet (meeoww.

Gotta hand it to Derek for getting some good licks in, though. …and the last word about

  63. Bucket, and the jaw dropping thing was that while Pretzer was being as unprofessional as humanly possible (feeding Drew lines, mocking other journalists, and apologizing for Drew’s infeidelities before Drew could even address them) he was lecturing us on how superior Canadian journalism is!

I sense a big man-crush on Geraldo from him.

  64. Apparently, his biggest beeef with Geraldo is that he doesn’t use the word “alleged” when calling Drew names.

Had he called Drew the “alleged” Beast of Bolingbrook, would he have passed muster with that crew?

  65. LOL I think it’s naked envy.

Derek also gets points for saying it isn’t true about the impartial superiority of Canadian journalism.

I did so enjoy Joel lecturing ethics.

  66. Immediate Press Release

    October 10th, 2008

October 28th, 2008 marks the one year anniversary of the disappearance of Stacy Peterson

The family of Stacy Peterson will not be involved in a public vigil on October 28th, 2008 in memory of Stacy Peterson and Kathleen Savio. It has been a very long and difficult year for the Stacy Peterson family. Instead we wish to observe this painful, solemn day in private remembrance of Stacy. We request that if a public vigil is held in memory of Stacy Peterson and Kathleen Savio, it is with dignity, reserve and respect for these two women, their neighborhood and Bolingbrook township. We thank the public for their past and continued support as we move through the difficult times ahead. Let us remind ourselves that hope and faith in the justice system along with a very thorough police investigation will bring justice to the tragedy that has befallen these two very wonderful, loving women.

    Pamela K. Bosco
    Family Spokesperson
    for the Stacy Peterson Family

    Cassandra Cales
    Sister of Stacy Peterson

  67. I find it odd for the family to put out a press release. It appears that has been a disconnect between Stacy’s family and the friends of Stacy. It has been a difficult and emotional journey for all.

  68. I hoped that they might be able to come together. It’s a shame but it’s understandable.

The situation is so stressful emotional and now almost a year later, very frustrating for everyone who mourns Stacy’s loss and wants to see justice done.

  69. I’m convinced justice will be done for Stacy and Kathleen. In a way it already has been. Everyone knows his business. Everyone knows him for what he is. There is definitely some satisfaction to be had there.

  70. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I did a dance of joy when I read the Press Release from Pam & Cass.

I personally don’t find it odd at all.

It’s hightime Cass took bull by the horns and put an end to the atrocious behavior of those hiding behind helping to find/bring justice to her sister.

Cassandra if you read here, I hope you are finding peace in coping with losing your sister and I pray for her to be brought home.

Shame on those who have made this horrible tragedy even more difficult for you.

    God Bless you.

  71. I don’t find any joy in comfirmation that there’s a rift between the family and another group.

My hope was that they could all come together before the 28th, either cancel the vigil, move it to another location, or get assurancse that it would be respectful and calm.

Personally, I’m disappointed. But as I said, I understand.

  72. The rift was long in coming and is healthy for the further support from the public.

I am a local, have been on searches and donated money.

I have not done either since the vulagar sickening crap thats been going on.

I am happy to hear from Cassandra, yes did a dance of Joy. I want to continue to help search and help financially where I can, but am a believer that the Fox has been watching the hen house. (No, no WP hen pun intended)

Cassandra has lost a lot of support, physical and financial due to the garbage that’s been going on. She’s lost support not only from locals but from out of towners who have been vital in helping to organize things regardless of the distance in miles.

Debating on these message boards who’s book is better isn’t going to bring her sister home, and I bet someone anyone who knows her will tell you that is ALL she cares about. Drew Peterson and justice is secondary.

SHE WANTS HER SISTER BROUGHT HOME and that’s going to cost money and require foot soldiers.

  73. I just really hate to see the focus taken off of Drew Peterson and the two wives he (probably) murdered and transferred to drama between personalities involved in finding her.

There’s no better time for these people to come together and refocus their energies towards finding a resolution.

I really do hope it happens soon.

  74. Well, as they say in the classics you can hope in one hand and xxxx in the other – – – and that is most definate in this situation.

I know that Ms. Hooker prefers to keep certain things off of this blog that those do not feel are pertinent but what has been going on recently with the organized group who is supposed to be searching and utilizing funds to do so is very pertinent. It’s relevant to helping bring this poor young girl home.

IMO your the “coming together” ain’t gonna happen. The TRUST has been totally and understandably so, LOST.

But, I do understand your hoping.

  75. It isn’t just Danya who doesn’t appreciate that stuff here, thanks. You’re not contributing to the respect and dignity.

  76. teneleven,

What do you mean by “what has been going on recently with the organized group who is supposed to be searching and utilizing funds to do so is very pertinent.”

    Can you explain????

  77. Yes. I am not fond of cryptic messages myself. I, too, would appreciate an explanation, teneleven, of your statement “what has been going on recently with the organized group…..”

Is this meant to say that they’re doing something against the will of Stacy’s sister.

Also, Danya Hooker is close to that group. If anything here is not helpful or causing stress to Cassandra, I assume she can take this blog down.

  78. rescue,

Nice to hear I wasn’t the other one confused by teneleven’s comment. Wonder if we will get a response.

  79. Hey whitesoxfan. While I am so very sorry for Cassandra and wish that there was no heartache in her life. That will never be, however, because it’s coming up on a year that she is without her beloved sister.

I am not privy to the “inside” stuff, nor do I want to be. But, the “Fox watching the hen house” also has me perplexed. Who is the “Fox” and what hen house?

Losing support may just be because, even though people are well meaning and do care, they go on with their lives, as everyone must do when they lose a loved one. There has been no official press releases from law enforcement, and the public is not close to being aware of what the current status of the cases are.

I don’t know where the information comes from that out of towners and supporters don’t trust others and that’s why Cassandra has lost support. Is she wanting this information put out through you, teneleven?

  80. rescue,

In thinking more, I have an idea who the Fox and the hen house is. Won’t mention to see if ten elven responds. Thinking it’s someone in the neighborhood.

Heading out, will be back later.

  81. Hi Everyone!

Teneleven-great to see you back, although it may be me that is back 😉 In my opinion, it is time that Cass and Pam get the focus back to finding Stacy and preserving her memory in a positive light. I pray that this disconnect from the others will allow people with good intentions to get involved again and support a family that didn’t need the garbage. Quite frankly, it turned off many people from continuing to help and support the family. It was very refreshing to wake up to that statement issued by Cass and Pam! Unfortunately, I awoke to a google alert with that nasty, vulgar site in my mail. Disgusting that others across the nation will be aware of that horrible blog. The fact that any blog like that exists is disgusting and a disgrace to the family and Stacy’s memory. JMO!

You can also take comfort in knowing that the people that are no longer on the same “side” as Cass, were never Stacy’s “friends.” They didn’t know her, were not friends with her, but managed to inject themselves into this sad story. There intentions may have started off well, but they really blew it. Again, JMO.

I’m praying that there actions do not hurt this case if/when it ever goes to trial. If they do get back on the same page again, I hope that it’s one that helps the family, the children and Stacy’s memory.

Almost a year-GOD BLESS YOU STACY!!

    ++++++++++++++++++++

Bucket, I absolutely cannot understand this, but I will say that if I have offended you or anyone that was not my intention and I apologize.

People can choose to ignore the hard to talk about stuff, that’s fine, BUT it does matter!! Iin more ways that one, but the absolute main one is because it is not conducive for the efforts to continue searching for a missing young woman.

I am thrilled that Cass is taking control and I can’t wait to become part of the search AND fundraising efforts again to help to continue searching for as long as it takes.

  83. Yeah, this is a beautiful time of the year; school, games, Halloween, little children. Who’s heart doesn’t go out to Stacy’s family, and, of course, Kathleen’s?

I am not at liberty to elaborate at this time, but I can say that it will all be public knowledge soon enough.

I believe that once the air is cleared there will be a renewed interest/group effort to continue helping in anyway possible (physical searching and donating to those efforts)

  86. facs-yes, it was a beautiful day. jail4drew was just saying the same thing. lol

ten-I guarantee you that many people will be starting to help out again too.

Fresh air, fresh/crisp time of year, and a new, fresh beginning to bringing Stacy home. A GLORIOUS, BEAUTIFUL day indeed!!

  87. I think Stacy and Kathleen should be kept in the news as much as possible. I guess one has to consider the good with the bad, so to speak. No one likes vulgarity, but any public attention keeps them in the forefront. As it is now, the State’s Attorney’s Office has no information forthcoming, and, IMHO, I think that is causing people to forget and move on, rather than move on and remember.

    AMEN!

  89. Rescue, I really am sorry about being cryptic.

Generally and I tread lightly because I know that this subject has caused many heated arguments here, but, it appears that misappropriation of funds has been verified as has the blantant disregard for Cassandra’s pleas for the rogue group and their followers to stop the madness.

  90. ten-do you know if they took care of the non-profit status? I DON’T want to start ANY arguments here, just asking.

Can they get that blog shut down? I wonder if Cassandra knows that her name is one of the members on the new one.

I’m sorry that others caused more grief and pain to Cassandra! Truly disgusting!

  91. I do have copies of a couple of documents from the State to the Friends of Stacy Peterson, but have to be honest that it’s Greek to me. I cannot say yes or no truthfully.

If you would like me to email what I have to you you can send me an email to teneleven1234@gmail.com and I will be happy to pass along what I have. Maybe you will be able to figure out what it all means.

  92. As long as Pam and Cass appear happy to let others do as they wish as long as they are not associated with it and not point fingers and make accusations, I’m happy to do the same.

I haven’t been to a vigil yet, but if it goes as they have asked – with dignity, reserve and respect for the two women – I might make a point to attend.

  93. I just want this to stay in the forefront, in the news, the deaths of Kathleen and Stacy, so no one forgets them and lets this fade into two more Will County unsolved statistics!

Amen. From your keyboard to Glasgow’s ears.

  95. Rescue-I agree with you. We all want Stacy and Kathleen to stay in the news, but acting with class, dignity and respect will keep it in the news as well. You don’t have to be vulgar, disgusting, not listen to the family, bash, etc. to keep Stacy and Kathleen in the news. The Stebic family has been a fabulous example of handling things with dignity, class and respect. Lisa is still kept in the news because they act in that manner. Stacy and Kathleen will always be in the news if handled properly. IMO

  96. Was there any updates to the turn out for John Spira’s search?

I can’t imagine the torture it must those who have loved ones who go missing 😦

Does anyone think that the election will bring any change?
    _________

Myself and others have been speaking with Judy Devriendt and have been ecstatic with her responses and the way she see’s these cases need to be handled.

I do feel that with change things do have a chance to get better in Will County and these women will have a better chance of recieving justice.

  98. There are a few high profile cases in Will County, ones which didn’t get one-quarter of the recognition that Stacy’s, and now Kathleen’s got, and they’ve faded away and nearly forgotten because they’re still unsolved.

Yes, I can and do understand what some might think of certain blogs as being vulgar, but so, too, is the subject of their wrath. Drew Peterson is one of the most disgusting individuals I’ve seen come along, and he is absolutely deserving of what is being said about him, IMHO. Maybe it’s not being said in a dignified way, but, nonetheless, there is nothing dignified about Drew Peterson. The people who rip him apart, colorfully, I might add, are on the side of justice, just like many of us, only expressing it in a different way.

The man who mentored Barack Obama for 20 years, Rev. Wright/Wrong, wasn’t exactly dignified and non-vulgar, ah hem, and he mentored, possibly, the next President of the United States. I guess it’s all what you find after you get past the rhetoric.

I wonder….Does it only bother me that the current topic on that so called blog is how DP will be raped in prison ?? That’s what they are discussing. I understand being angry, but this is beyond that IMO. They are acting like a lynch mob. I JUST DONT GET IT. Please no one get offended. This is just my opinion.

  102. It’s spelled Rachel Mellon. 🙂 Not snapping at you I promise, just pointing it out. 🙂

Judy was there for Rachel’s case. She wants justice for ALL of these people the same as we all do.

I know who I will be voting for, 🙂

  103. I agree Wonder… great post. Those people are fools and have lost their way.

Ignore them and they no longer have any power over us nor will they have the power to cause anymore havoc for these women. 🙂

  104. Rescue-I understand what you are trying to say but I do have to disagree-these people are not on the same side of justice as me, nor would I ever handle anything in the manner in which they have. Don’t get me wrong, I can’t stand him and know that he’s guilty of two murders (JMO), but I can’t ever believe that this helps in any way to bring justice to Stacy and Kathleen.

It would be nice to have it all removed and see a positive, wonderful, peaceful blog about STACY replace it. JMO

  105. Well, I guess if the Hearsay Bill/Law is the final leg of the journey, then, maybe, Drew Peterson will have more to contend with, finally, than making the rounds on the news circuits, selling his story, and cruising the Internet porn sites. Let’s hope!

  106. Ducky – I understand, too, what you are saying, and I see the point. Really.

I guess what makes me even angrier, though, to tell you the truth, is Drew Peterson and his ways, more than the people of the blogs.

I have read here, earlier in the months of this blog, about how outraged many are that pics of Stacy are plastered all over the neighbor’s house and doing harm to the kids. I cannot, for the life of me, find that to be unkind or harmful to the kids. Why? The other night, for example, once again, Drew Peterson USED his own kids to make a point. He told how his teen son was “pissed” because Armstrong misquoted him in the book by telling how he said his mom and dad were fighting……

He uses his adult son, he uses his little children and he uses his teens. So, I guess, yes, I am not coming across as being disgusted as many are with certain bloggers, but it’s because I find him to be repulsive, and I reserve most of my energy in that direction. There has been a blogger here that let himself get caught up in the vulgarity over there too, and I believe he is more closely involved and knowing of the Stacy Peterson supporters than I am. Does that make him a “bad” person?

  107. Yes, Wonder, that would be WONDERFUL. Maybe, while he’s in Court for his gun charge, they’ll wipe that smirk off his puss and arrest him right then and there. Now, that would be just peachy!

    Hi rescue!!!!!

Vigilantes consider themselves to be on the side of justice ………… doers of justice. Do you also condone their actions?

  109. OMG-Ithink that I am going to go into a coma. Rescue-Really, I see your point and understand what you are saying about Drew and the kids. Agree. The pictures of Stacy in the yard are beautiful. The “gang” playing that disgusting song so loud for the kids to hear, partying next to Drew’s and thinking that this is acceptable and doesn’t hurt the children in just plain wrong. Just because Drew acts like an @ss doesn’t mean that everyone else should. JMO!

Woudn’t you agree that taking down that blog and replacing it with something that is positive, wonderful, peaceful and honors STACY would be a great year anniversary gift to the family? They have enough grief and it seems as if THEIR wishes are not being heard.

Stacy and Kathleen deserve better than this! IMO!

  110. If Cassandra has asked them to do so, then, yes, I would agree that it would be something good to do for the family. I don’t understand why they haven’t done so, if she’s asked them to.

Shame on all the people that didn’t and won’t listen to Cassandra! Actually, if they cared about Stacy and Cassandra in any way, she wouldn’t have had to ask. 👿

  115. I wonder….Does anyone know who is running that place for sure ? I am not asking for the information to be revealed. I am just wondering ( surprise surprise ) if it is known and if Cassandra has asked whoever it is running that place to please shut it down ? Simply posting a one word request without confirmation that it was indeed Cassandra posting is ambiguous at best IMHO. Things that make me wonder. 🙂

  116. I’m wondering if they can make an arrest now since the house needs to sign the hearsay bill and they don’t meet until Nov 12th.

    teneleven,
I saw your response and will be interesting if a different search group is formed.

  117. No need to worry Wonder, Cassandra wants nothing but to search for Stacy and bring her home. She has nothing to do with that site nor does she condone it.

For now we can only sit back and allow her to do what she must and we will all know in due time what she wants from us and how we can help.

Trust in her and allow her to work through whatever she must. Cassandra is a very kind and loving soul, her only concern is Stacy. She will set things right, I promise you that.

I’m wondering if they can make an arrest now since the house needs to sign the hearsay bill and they don’t meet until Nov 12th.

    ++++++++++++++++++

When you say this, do you mean an arrest in respect of Stacy or Kathleen? Both?

  119. I found this some time ago. Maybe some of you saw it already, but it was very moving, and very sad. It was written by Cassandra early after Stacy’s disappearance:

……..She called it “A Sister’s Love!” and no one could write it any better. Here’s a portion of it. The rest can be found on the Myspace page she created for Stacy.

I just wanted to tell you all that it really touches my heart to see you all sending me and my family your love and prayers. I know I’ve been doing my best to try and stay strong. But I truly believe it is you all that are lifting me up with your prayers and messages you send me. So let me tell you about my sister Stacy Ann Cales (I don’t consider her a Peterson) she was the most wonderful person you could ever meet. She could walk into a room with people she didn’t know and bring a smile to everyone’s face. Granted I could do the same. Which is why we were so close, we did everything together, from the time we were lil taking baths together til just 2 1/2 weeks ago just hanging out and being there for each other. When one of us was down for whatever reason we would be there for each other. She would always call me a bunch a times a day just to see how my day was going and how I was feeling, and tell me how my lil nephew’s and niece were doing….When we would be in her Denali (SUV) with all the kids me and Stacy would sing all loud and goofy, to embarrass Thomas and Kristopher. They would laugh and giggle thinking we were crazy. But we just liked to have fun, and make others have a good time. Me and her were two pea’s in a pod, that I thought could never be split apart. I have to say that this is the worst pain I’ve ever felt, I wouldn’t wish it upon my worst enemy. From this great tragedy comes great strength. I will not stop looking for my sister until she is found. She would have done the same thing for me. God lets everything happen for a reason, so all we can do is keep praying and let him guide us to her. Its only a matter of time before we do find her. Thank you all for being here for me through these harsh times. It really means a lot.

“I look at her pictures everyday and tell her I love her,” Cassandra told me. “And I tell her I won’t give up.”

  120. Teneleven,

Yes, an arrest in both but thinking will go first with Kathleen and than for Stacy.

    Fuzzymouser,
If you hear about new searches please post here.

  121. I dont worry about is Fuzzy. I just think it’s sad that those on that site cant respect her wishes. Sad sad sad. I do hope Cassandra can find some type of healing after all this and go on and be in Stacy’s childrens lives. That would be so
WONDERFUL. You have a lot of faith in Cassandra Fuzzy, she is lucky to have you on her side.

  122. Heart wrenching.

My hat goes off to anyone with a missing loved one who finds the will to go on.

It goes off immensley to Cassandra as she has endured so much pain in her really few years. She’s just a kid. I have a 22 year old daughter and I consider her a kid.

God’ll get the monster, I believe that!!

  123. I am curious to know what you all think about Drew making terrible, unkind remarks about Kathleen, and writing about Stacy, sharing personal pictures, in this book. Since he acknowledged that his son was “pissed” about something that was written in the book, obviously, he let them see/read it.

Doesn’t that just make you sick to your stomach? It does me! Can someone tell me how he faces his teens everyday, living with the idea that he trashed their mom(s) even more now. Yeah, maybe Stacy wasn’t their biological mother, but Kathleen deserves a loving, decent memory in the minds of boys, and he’s done just about everything to end that. Disgusting!

  124. Well here is what I think on that Rescue…He is probably ( IMO ) guilty of murder, so anything else he does is a piece of cake.

  125. Even if I, or anyone else, for that fact, is to keep an open mind and let justice run it’s course, and assume Drew Peterson is innocent until proven guilty, there’s so many ways to dislike the man, starting with the fact that he continues to use his kids to prove he’s Mr. Mom, in a video, and now in a book, and that his teen sons have access to very unkind thoughts about their mother.

  126. I have to say it’s a pleasure reading here tonight. Not that it isn’t always 😉 but somehow today I think we all understand each other a teeny bit better? Yes?

Even though we all may have our opinions about how to get there, I believe we all are heading to the same place.

Power and strength in numbers! It can make a huge difference.

  127. Thanks for the great conversation everyone. Superman is whining…he wants me to come play with him ie watch a movie…So have a wonderful night my fellow bloggers. L)

  128. I think he’s a pig. A big fat disgusting pig.

BUT, I also think that it’s their father and they love him. In time as they grow up that may change but for now, he’s all they got.

I think it would be much better if everyone just let him continue to make an ass out of himself by making unkind remarks, etc.

I think the less we call him a disgusting fat pig, and post photoshop pics of him in dresses and talk about him getting it in the you know where, will make his unkind sickening remarks stand out sooooooo much more.

  129. Cassandra has a lot on her plate. Stacy being gone, her best friend, is a horrible circumstance, but to have to hear, day after day, the escapes of her sister’s husband, his whoring around, his unkind remarks about every, single person in his life, except Steve Carcerano, Mike Robinson and Stephen Peterson, only adds to that. Those three are lucky they’re on his team, lest they be caught up in the hateful, spiteful words he has for everyone else that is on a mission to end his insanity.

  131. I like that we are all trying to make this thread about Stacy, Cassandra and the searches! It’s refreshing! Wouldn’t it be nice to have that be the only focus for a while? I bet that Cassandra would like to hear wonderful things about her sister, prayers and to give her strength to help her get through the end of the month.

Cassandra-I hope that everyone turns this around so that you can feel the way that you did in the beginning. You deserve to have the love and support from everyone.

We should all take a lesson from this young girl-she doesn’t want hatred, spite and anger-she just wants prayers, love and to bring her sister home!

    God bless you Cassandra.

I suppose the little people do, because, well, they’re little minds don’t know any better. I’ll pass on the teens, ten. They’re in an environment that they must be in, it’s out of their hands. It’s probably called “survival.” Survival of the mind.

I don’t know anything about their relationship with their father, but it doesn’t have to be a loving, good one either. They have no choice right now. That’s about all I can say about that.

I am confused as to how the hearsay bill would have held up an arrest in Kathleen Savios case?

    Help
    ———-
Thinking an arrest can’t be mace until after Nov. 12th when the house signs the bill.

Since gov added the amendment, the house has to re-sign.

    Does this make sense now???

  134. I’m going to post more from the page where I found Cassandra’s writings. This was from zero gossip. I assume the author is “Holliston.” It made me see the relationship so much more through this find!

Posted by Holliston at 11/22/2007 12:05 AM

She has become the public face of determination. Her strength and devotion have rallied others for one common goal–to find her sister, Stacy Peterson. Twenty-two year old Cassandra Cales lives each minute of every day working herself to exhaustion trying to find Stacy. While she’s athletic and physically strong, her heart aches with a pain no one can comprehend. Stacy and Cassandra were very close–constant companions whether in person or on the phone. They were soul sisters to the core. Now Cassandra feels the worst has happened. Her sister, just a year older than her is gone and Drew Peterson, a rogue cop, a disgraceful cop human being and also Stacy’s husband is behind it.

News reports in the Chicago suburb of Bolingbrook, Ill., show Cassandra trying hard to be strong. Marching from the home of Drew Peterson’s former wife’s home, a wife who died under suspicious circumstances, to the home of Stacy, Cassandra stayed strong. Cameras continued to roll when she broke down. She didn’t want the world to see her tears. But there they were. The raw emotion of a sister on a mission. A sister, everyone should be so lucky to have.

“She was so precious to me,” Cassandra said. “He took her away from me and it’s tearing me up inside.”

That “he” is Drew Peterson. As Cassandra cried, he would clown around in front of TV cameras joking about the weight he’s lost since Stacy left. He’s considered a suspect in Stacy’s disappearance. His previous wife’s death is now also being re-investigated.

“She’s the only one in the world I loved more than anything,” Cassandra told me.

Stacy and Cassandra were close throughout their lives. “We were all we had when we were growing up. We were best friends. And after Tina passed away, we made a pact that no matter what, we’d be together. Through thick and thin and always be there for each other.” Tina Ryan died of cancer last year at just 30.

And they never strayed from that pact. When Cassandra was in the hospital in her teens, Stacy would be with her everyday. When Stacy married, they remained close. “We’d talk several times a day by phone and see each other every other day or every couple of days.” Stacy has two children two year old Lacy and 4 year old Anthony. She also adopted her husband’s two boys. She doted on all the kids and would never leave them willingly.

That’s how Cassandra knew something was wrong October 28. She filed a missing person’s report after not getting her daily phone call from Stacy. Her husband claimed she’d run off to Jamaica with a boyfriend. Nobody believed that. Searches began and continue with Cassandra a big part of them. So far, no leads.

Cassandra spends her days now printing fliers, searching and using the internet to get the word out about her sister. And she spends a lot of time crying. She can’t even see Stacy’s kids at the moment. “I called to see if I could have them for Thanksgiving and over night and he said no.” That’s pretty rough considering the kids look at her as their favorite “aunty.”

  135. I have been to both vigils as well as the fund raisers. If there is a vigil on Oct. 28th, will be there with my wife and daughter.

As for the “Hang Drew Peterson Site”, I wonder who is behind this. It’s nothing than a bunch of foul mouth people.

    ______________

Thank you dear. We should all have faith in her , don’t allow the insane actions of others to take away from the love that Cass has shown us. Her love for her sister. Love is all that can keep her going right now, and I hope she knows where ever Stacy is right now Stacy feels the love that Cass has for her and will help guide her through all of this.

    _____________
Great post, it should only be about Stacy… Stacy and the love these people have for her. Many people could learn a valuable lesson if they ever just took the time to listen to their hearts the way Cassandra, Kerry, and Pam have done.

It is a painful experience to lose a loved one, even more so when you do not know where they are and are unable to put them to rest. Yet those three people have been able to look past their hate for that man , yes each have had their moments of stress filled hate but still to this day all I hear is ” I just want to find Stacy”

Please do not allow the actions of anyone other than Pam, Cass, and Kerry decide your feelings for Stacy or the search to find her. If you ever have the chance to hear them speak of her just listen closely and with your heart. You will see and feel their determination and their love for her.

I am not forgetting about Kathleen, please do not take it as such. I am only speaking in regards to the Cales family at this moment. As unfortunate as it is that Kathleen has been taken away from her family, they are lucky in the fact that they at least know what happened to her and are able to pay their respects at a proper location.

My heart is with both families.

  137. whitesoxfan – to tell you the truth, I have no clue, since I am not in the inner circle of any of these people, either supporters, searchers, families, etc.

I have had to click out of that blog many times because, well, it just gets too down and dirty for my liking. But, in all honesty, we all know about the site because we read it. Like it or not, admit it or not, that’s just the way it is. If we don’t like it or get upset by it, it’s our absolute right to leave it or ignore it.

I’ve seen some ugly, nasty exchanges with a blogger I’ve seen here that shocked the heck out of me, I’ll tell you. So, for whatever it’s worth, it’s just another one of those train wrecks that people can’t turn away from sometimes. Heck, many thought Drew Peterson was an upstanding cop, father, family man, husband. Look how wrong he proved them. I guess it cuts both ways, IMHO.

  138. whitesoxfan // October 12, 2008 at 8:50 pm

I have been to both vigils as well as the fund raisers. If there is a vigil on Oct. 28th, will be there with my wife and daughter.
    **************

BTW, that is a very nice thing you said you’d do!

  139. From what I have heard, read and seen, The Friends of Stacy Peterson have one mission in mind and that is to find Stacy and bring her him home.

Also, they want an arrest for the actions against Kathleen and Stacy. They want the person or persons involved to be arrested.

The actions from the last month are probably out of frustration and the tireless effort of trying to find Stacy.

It has been interesting to read comments here and see how people have changed some of their views.

Enjoy the rest of your evening.

  140. Rescue, as always, your posts are very much a pleasure to read!

I agree with you about other blog’s. I personally have read and posted on other blogs, maybe there are some that approach things differently than I would, but, I can stay and read, stay and blog, or just leave the blog all together.

I know that the blog’s I read, or the blog that I think most are referring to here, is not out to trash Stacy or Kathleen. I think that because DP trashed the victims, their families and his own former friends, it created a huge backlash. I must say, sometimes, rightfully so.

I know that there are many who have given much of their time and money to help in every way they can, and should not be labeled as one of the “lynch mob”, I, personally, find this very insulting to me and also to my family, who have been there from the get go, and have “NEVER” over stepped our boundries in any way, shape or form.

I have always felt that this is not about me, it is about Stacy, Kathleen and their families. I am only here to help bring Stacy home and justice to the families.

I must admit that I sometimes feel fustrated at the justice system, and I do get angry towards the evil person, who is still currently roaming our streets. It is just wrong to have this happen and needs heat to help spin the wheels faster.

I also agree with white, I will be there for the vigil on Oct. 28, if it is going to still be held by friends. Cass and the family will also be held very close in my prayers and should they ever need anything, I am here for them, always.

I hope everyone will take a good look around and focus on getting back to the reason why we all came together in the first place.

  141. Looks like I missed out on most of the convo, but from what I understand the Kathleen Savio case would be the one in which the hearsay bill comes into play since prosecution could show that Stacy was killed in order to silence her knowledge of Drew’s involvement in Kathleen’s death.

Therefore, Stacy’s ‘hearsay’ testimony to the Pastor (and I’ve heard that she did tell one other perons) might be admissable in court as evidence against Drew in Kathleen’s murder.

At least, that’s how I understand it.

  142. Thank you Facsmiley for this.

Where I am confused I guess is doesn’t it have to be proved that Stacy is in fact dead before any of that bill will matter?

  143. I agree apple. I think think there are many routes to a destination and in-fighting and forum wars not only detract us from the one goal of bringing Stacy home and seeing just for both her and Kathleen, the give strength to Drew and his crew.

That’s why I so hoped that all sides could be brought together for this remembrance on the 28th. Evidently, that was too much to hope for and I do understand the reasons why.

Personally though, I’ll follow Cass and Pam’s example by not pointing fingers and blaming others whose methods may not be my own.

There’s only one ‘bad guy’ behind these crimes. We know who he is.

  144. 10/11. It actually doesn’t. The prosecution needs to show the judge enough evidence in order for them to be convinced.

Otherwise you’d have a chicken and egg deal….

  145. i just thought id pop in and read and after reading all your posts from the last two days i wanted to share something with you all… (and i dont care if ya dont like me im gonna share anyway LOL)

There is not a day that goes by that i dont think about stacy and what she must have gone through.. there is not a day that goes by that i get a lump in my throat just thinking about how Cass must feel losing her sister . I couldnt imagine how hard everyday must be especially when you were so close and if something happened in the day and you go to call.. and then u remember shes not there… I look across my farm everynight at the beauty when the sun goes down and feel so saddened that its another sunset stacy will never see and i cry often for her which panicks my family lol.I have to always remind myself shes with god. And my grandmother is with her .

As for that killdrew site i dont like it at all , Its too foul mouthed for me .. i hate drew but i think its now gone over board.I read a few of the pages and the comments and BAH it was aweful and i havent gone back to read. There is no need for it.

Cass is strong god bless her and im sure in my heart she will make things right. She isnt responsible for ppl comments and it really saddens me to see what this has all become.

I wish i had money to lay down to get someone up there to search the canal and areas thoroughly 😦 but i think one day stacy will be found its only a matter of time and patience.
Anyway thats what i think .. god bless you all and love yas fuzzy 🙂 (ill email u tomorrow fuzzy)

  146. Thanks white, I appreciate you letting me know. Should I also hear anything, I will also post.

I would also like to say, that I do respect and understand each and every fellow poster. I may not always agree, but, that is what makes us all different, right?

Wishing everyone a good rest of the night and hoping all of you stay safe no matter where you are and what you do. Nite

  147. If the Hearsay Law is so loaded for bear, I sure hope that it’s going to help in the prosecution of Lisa Stebic’s killer too, in addition to Stacy and Kathleen. Lisa made her own fears known to her family too.

  148. I believe that anyone here that was referring to a “lynch-mob” mentality was simply referencing the very blog that we were speaking of-the one that Cassandra doesn’t care for at all. All one has to do is look at the main page, which speaks volumes as to their mentality. Lynch-Mob.

I really hope that this entire chapter will be closed and that people will move FORWARD as the family wishes. Pray, love, search and bring Stacy home. If Cassandra doesn’t want the blog and this behavior to continue, then it should cease. IMO-this isn’t forum wars/blog wars, this is about human decency, kindness, love, respect and doing what the family wishes for their loved ones!

I hope that everyone that attends the vigil on the 28th will act in the manner in which the family requests. Be safe and be kind.

  149. This will all end in one of two ways. Either Drew Peterson will FINALLY be charged, tried and convicted, or found not-guilty, whichever the case may be, or he will break down, admit what he’s done and lead the authorities to Stacy’s body. I believe the second statement is not probable, unfortunately.

In my heart, I believe Drew Peterson’s son, Steve, knows a whole lot more than we’ve heard about. I only wish he would find the courage to do something about it. Maybe talk to his own mother and ask her for guidance. He’s fortunate that he does have a mother, thus, he has no idea what his four half-siblings are going through or will have to confront years down the road. There are more involved in this than meets the eye. This man had a finger on everyone at one time or another, holding them down, and it’s about time they rose up and freed themselves from him. Do the right thing.

  150. I really liked it better when this thread was about Stacy and not Drew. I’m going to try and do the right thing and only speak about positive, great, loving thoughts about Stacy for the rest of the month. Anyone care to join? I might have to bite off my tongue or sit on my hands, but Stacy and her families wishes are worth me doing the right thing.

    Night all.

  151. This thing with the Hearsay Law has got me thinking.

Does law enforcement, in the case of Stacy Peterson, feel that she was murdered because she was planning on going to the authorities about Kathleen’s murder? That is one of the basics that this Hearsay Law addresses: “………allow the courts to admit a statement from a witness who was intentionally murdered by the defendant if they determine the murder was to prevent the witness from testifying against the defendant.”

Since there was no impending trial, there was no witness, or witnesses, to testify against a defendant, such as in the case of a mob trial.

Maybe they have additional evidence that Stacy told someone she was going to “out” Drew Peterson. Maybe it was H. Smith, the lawyer she talked to, besides Pastor Schori?

I am not at all clear as to why this Hearsay Law figures in so prominently in this.

In Kathleen’s murder, it would seem that his motive would have been money; keeping her from getting any of it while he was about to start a new life. So, she wasn’t going to be testifying against him. She told others that she feared him. How the Hearsay Law figures into that, I don’t know. There’s written statements from her about her fear, the stuff no one bothered to look at before. Why isn’t that enough?

“The new law will allow a judge to decide at a pretrial hearing whether the court will consider a hearsay testimony. At the pretrial hearing, a judge will determine if the defendant murdered the witness and the murder was intended to make the witness unavailable for testimony, if the unavailable witness’ statements are reliable, and if justice is best served if the statements will be admitted into evidence.”

I hope they have lots and lots of evidence, and it’s not all about she said, he said.

    ***************

I think that if it’s admitted it will only be part of the evidence and I hope they do have more than hearsay and circumstancial…

  153. facsmiley // October 12, 2008 at 11:34 pm

I’m sure everyone will do as their own hearts lead them.
    ———————————————————–
And hopefully, that will be where the families hearts wish them to be-with Stacy.

  154. I wonder why Mr. Glasgow hasn’t even addressed the issue of what happened during the first Kathleen Savio investigation, or lack of it?

I would think that, by now, they’d have figured out just what went wrong, or how her death investigation was botched up.

  155. ducky – and Kathleen and her family. She was spoken of so unkindly by her ex-husband, she needs to be kept in the forefront too, since she can’t speak for herself, and her children, obviously, aren’t allowed to.

  156. Wonder why no one mentions Kathleen’s sisters. They fought so hard for her when Kathleen first died, and tried so hard to give her a voice.

Now, they barely get a mention here, there or anywhere.

There is a body, they have confirmed she was murdered, they have written statements by Kathleen, documented statements by her family that she feared for her life at the hands of Drew Peterson. This is about her too.

  157. Yes, Kathleen was trashed horribly in Drew’s ghost-written missive. I actually thought Stacy would be spoken of much more cruelly than she was.

Class act to speak of your children’s mother like that.

  158. My point, exactly, facs, about how the mother of his teen sons was treated in that story of the Life of Prince Charming.

Instead of trying to redeem himself with the public, since he’s so tired of being called sinister and other names, and being vilified in the media, why didn’t he soften his stance about his children’s mothers and write the positive, good things about them?

Where does he think he’s going with the slop he wrote about, trashing, once again, these beautiful women, who’s luck ran out the day they met Drew Peterson?

  159. I need to get another comma. 😉

Kathleen is mentioned all the time. I know that I always try to mention her and she is in all of our hearts.

Isn’t the vigil going from Kathleen’s to Stacy’s? I thought that was the plan?

As for the sister’s of Kathleen, I am hoping that they are doing well and staying strong.

Praying for all the victims in Will County!

  160. It did make me laugh when Pretzer kept egging Drew and Joel to confront Armstrong with what they were unhappy about in ‘Exposed’…and at first Joel said that there was a lot he didn’t “agree with”, but he couldn’t keep that up for long.

What was he going to say? That Kathleen wasn’t violent, that Stacy never wanted to be a stripper?

    Ship of fools…

  161. Good Morning, mes petits choux.

I’m really sorry I missed last night’s chat. I’ve had a cup of tea, wandered about a bit, more tea, but still annoyed.

1.You have totally missed the point if you don’t realise the other sites are for DREW’S consumption. People who went there to argue with them don’t seem to have gotten it, and have been singed.

    2. Welcome back, but you’re not winning new friends by insinuating our book discussions were trivial, and no one needs to “make” this thread into anything other than what it has successfully and happily been for ages.

Now, please have a cup of tea and a couple of these wonderful ginger cookies. 😀
