  1. Lola – assuming Kathleen had drafted herself a new Will and was going to sign it in front of two witnesses, her sisters would not be likely witnesses due to possibly being named as heirs in the Will, or even as co-executors.

  2. Good morning all

I’ve just been looking around to see if I could find out anything more about James B Carroll.
Al I could find is that he’s managing partner of James B Carroll and Associates in Hickory Ill, and that his registration and malpractice insurance is up to date.

The insurance looks reassuring for the Savio Estate, perhaps, but it doen’t actually “protect” Carroll himself. I wonder how his associates are feeling about all this?

  3. Just read new PR on Blago and he is flying to Springfield this morning to make his final plea. FLY, it’s a little over a 2 hour drive. However, if he is ousted today, he loses his state car and word yesterday from news is they wonder if he actual owns a car.

Wonder if we, the IL tax payers are paying for this flight?? Guess Brodsky and Peterson to pick up their down and out poor friend!

    Have a great GJ day!

  4. Here is the PR I mention above:

Media Advisory: Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich To Speak Before Illinois Senate Mid Morning in Springfield
    ThePublicityAgency.com – January 29, 2009
(PRNewsChannel) / Chicago, Ill. / Gov. Rod Blagojevich will fly to the state capitol Thursday morning for closing arguments in his impeachment trial, according to The Publicity Agency (www.thepublicityagency.com), the outside PR/publicity firm hired by the governor.

Up until now, the governor has boycotted the trial saying it is unfair and that he believes “the fix is in.”

Thursday, Gov. Blagojevich will make a passionate closing argument to Illinois senators who will decide whether to oust him from office.

The governor was working on his speech to lawmakers past midnight–a speech that will include an explanation as to why he decided to appear after boycotting the hearings all week.

He’s expected to begin his sppech at approximately 11am CT. He will not be making any statements beforehand.

  5. All,

I guess the PR firm doesn’t have spell check. I did a cut and paste from the site, and they spell “speech” as “sppech”. Maybe they hired Peterson to type for them.

  6. Hi whitesoxfan,
i read that he was going to appear and make a closing sppech .. 😀
i had been thinking he’s doing this media thing to avoid being questioned where what he says could be used to incriminate him in his criminal trial. Pleading the 5th would have made him look guilty to many people so he chose to grand stand with the media as a diversion.
Showing up there to make a speech, he still doesn’t have to worry about being questioned.

Does anyone else think there could be ‘method to his madness’ ?

  7. Good call, Lola! Don’t think it’s gonna work, though.

Hey Whitey! No, the spelling and lack of is all his own work! It’s one way we know it’s really Sells-ick

Drew Peterson says he understands why his future fifth wife’s loved ones are concerned for her safety. But Peterson, who is a suspect in the disappearance of his fourth wife Stacy and the death of his third wife Kathleen Savio in their Bolingbrook, Ill., home, said that “I’m a good guy.”

Drew Peterson says he likes being married and is engaged to Christina Raines, who will be his fifth wife.
(Getty Images)Peterson’s first two wives have complained about him being very controlling and, before her disappearance, Stacy allegedly told her minister that Peterson confessed to killing Savio.

“All of which didn’t happen,” Peterson told “Nightline” in his first interview since his engagement. “But I will acknowledge that I would have concerns if I was the friends and family of this young girl.

Watch the story tonight on “Nightline” at 11:35 p.m. ET

“She likes me. She likes me a lot,” he said of his fiancée Christina Raines, 23. “I’m good to her and I treat her better than she’s ever been treated.”

Despite still being legally married to Stacy, Peterson, 55, says he is OK with getting remarried and is deeply in love. The couple haven’t yet set a date, but Peterson says they’ll wed this year. In the state of Illinois, Peterson can be granted a divorce on the basis of abandonment and is free to remarry if Stacy Peterson doesn’t respond to a court submission within 30 days.

  9. Silly old murderer! He keeps forgetting that to have such a divorce, he’d have to prove that he didn’t give her any reason to leave him. um.

  10. In the state of Illinois, Peterson can be granted a divorce on the basis of abandonment and is free to remarry if Stacy Peterson doesn’t respond to a court submission within 30 days.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

How do dead people respond to a court submission ?

  11. I should just have this quote permanently on my clipboard:

“In order to use Desertion as a ground for divorce, the deserting spouse must have willfully deserted or absented himself or herself from the other spouse for the space of one year, including any period during which litigation (for dissolution of marriage) may have pended between the spouses. The party claiming desertion must prove the absence of the other spouse for a minimum of a year and a day and must also prove, generally by testimony, that the desertion was not caused or provoked by the party left behind.

Desertion may not be what you think it is.

Illinois case law protects the innocent spouse in a situation where he or she is forced out of the home because of the other spouse’s behavior. The law will not allow the wrongdoer spouse, in this situation, to claim desertion against the innocent spouse.

All grounds and defenses thereto must be proven in Court and proof, in this regard, is generally obtained through the use of testimony of the parties.”

  12. Also…

    http://www.illinoisdivorceinfo.com/illinois_divorce_law/abandonment.html

“It seems that in the past two or three years I have heard more and more clients tell me that they would like to move out of the marital residence but they are afraid that they will be charged with “Abandonment”.

There is no such thing as “Abandonment” in our divorce law. It is a concept that we learned about in law school which determined, for example, which party had proper title to an umbrella that was discarded in a bus station waste receptacle.

Was it the person who threw away the umbrella or the person who fished it out of the waste bin? A downpour may have made this a very critical issue.”

  13. bucketoftea, i think it will work like it’s been working for Drewpy. His “PR” scandalizes him, and makes him more reviled by the public.
Way to taint the future jury pool.

  14. bucketoftea // January 29, 2009 at 9:00 am
Is he back on telly because of the GJ? Will we have weekly Thursday “diversion” PR?
    ***************

“diversion” PR ? yeah, more “white noise”.

“But I will acknowledge that I would have concerns if I was the friends and family of this young girl”.

Could he sound more like a pedophile when he says this ? YUK !
She a young WOMAN with 2 kids.

Thanks for that article quote. i completely missed it in my sleepy google search this morning. 🙄

  15. Despite still being legally married to Stacy, Peterson, 55, says he is OK with getting remarried and is deeply in love.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hahahahaha, Drew is deeply in love

He is so in love, the day after his engagement was made public he was shit-faced at a bar holding several women in his famous choke hold !

That’s what you do when you’re deeply in love !

  16. Thanks for the clarification Facs.
It sadly appears there are a few ABC reporters who could use your expertise. 😉

  17. Lola – Honestly I think it’s just lazy reporting. They keep relying on previous articles rather than doing the smallest amount of research.

I wish Drew would try to move forward with the divorce. I’d love to see Stacy’s family and friends being called on to testify to the way he threatened and stalked her.

And I almost feel sad for Drew if he truly is “deeply in love” with Chrissy and yet his beloved only “likes” him. Even if she likes him “a lot” it’s hardly the depth of emotion you would expect from a new fiancee.

  18. But I will acknowledge that I would have concerns if I was the friends and family of this young girl”.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

That is such a bizarre statement, not just for the reference to “a young girl”, but why would any friends/ family members fear for anyones safety upon someone getting engaged.

That is only relative if you’re getting yourself engaged to a murder suspect such as Drew and he’s not called a murder suspect because ISP has nothing better to do with their time (!)

  19. Facsmiley
I wish Drew would try to move forward with the divorce. I’d love to see Stacy’s family and friends being called on to testify to the way he threatened and stalked her.

    * * * * * * * *
There are other witnesses, too, for his divorce: Neil Schori, Ric Mimms (spelling?), and the social worker she met when she ran into his car.

  20. Facs, If Drew did go ahead with the divorce, wouldn’t he have to answer questions on record that could incriminate him ?
And the estate hearings too. .. i think i read that if he is a suspect in a crime he can plead the 5th when questioned. Whereas, OJ couldn’t in the civil suit because his criminal trial was over.

If he pled the 5th at both hearings wouldn’t he most likely lose in both situations ?

  21. And I almost feel sad for Drew if he truly is “deeply in love” with Chrissy and yet his beloved only “likes” him. Even if she likes him “a lot” it’s hardly the depth of emotion you would expect from a new fiancee.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Don’t feel sad for Drew just yet as he previously claimed Christina asked HIM to marry HER several times.

He made it sound like Christina virtually pushed herself onto him.

I suppose it depends on what time of the day it is, what version you get from Drew !

  22. ‘Something He Fabricated’
The minister at the local church also emerged, claiming he knew a different story about how Peterson’s third wife Kathleen had come to die in the bath. Neil Shory says Stacy Peterson told him her husband confessed to killing his third wife.

“Right. I heard that, but again, wouldn’t you seek out authorities if you heard that coming out of somebody’s mouth?” Peterson asked. “And I really question whether she really said it or it’s something he fabricated.”

Peterson claims the minister’s story has changed since he initially came forward. But if it is true, why would Stacy go and say such a thing about him?
    ******************************************

Schori has only granted one interview and told his story once – to Greta Van Susteren. So where is this “changed story”?

Has anyone ever seen a second account?

  23. “He says Raines is much better off now than she was in previous abusive relationships.

On many occasions, she’s looked at me and she says, ‘You know, you treat me so good, there’s no way that you could’ve been involved in anything like this, there’s no way.’ And I believe she wholeheartedly believes that.”

    Lucky for him, I guess.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Makes you wonder why he hasn’t already, especially if it is as simple as 1,2,3 according to Joel Brodsky and with Drew so eager to get remarried, the new “fiance” waiting in the wings etc, etc !

  25. i’ve never seen a second account from Pasto Schori. The only account i rely on is that one with Greta, in his own words.

i’ve seen accounts written quoting *unnamed sources*. That may be what they are spinning now.

  26. bucketoftea // January 29, 2009 at 9:45 am

Lola- You probably didn’t miss it. It had only been up a couple of minutes when I saw it. 🙂
    *****************

Thank Bucket, i was starting to worry. 😀

  27. “He says Raines is much better off now than she was in previous abusive relationships. ”

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

What Drew is saying here is that Christina is better off in the abusive relationship with him.

I’m sure that is not what he actually meant to say – LOL !!

  28. JAH – Hysterical!

“Previous” abusive relationships…as opposed to her “current” abusive relationship! 🙂

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Pastor Schori never had a second account or changed his story.

That is just Drew and Joel Brodsky forever wanting to discredit the Pastor.

They must be EXTREMELY worried about what the Pastor has been told and what the Pastor knows.

Watch Joel Brodsky’s blood pressure go through the roof when you mention the Blue barrel, the Pastor or the Truckers !

  30. facsmiley // January 29, 2009 at 10:34 am

The thought of Pastor Schori makes Joel’s bowels clench up.

    bucketoftea // January 29, 2009 at 10:39 am

    Or Lenny or Geraldo (lol)

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

hahahahhaahaha, you two are incorrigible !

but you’re right, the mention of Lenny and Geraldo and Brodsky loses it !

  31. Facs, i know what you mean. The whole Christina Raines engagement announcement by Armstong, quickly confirmed by Selig,
… then Drew, acting surprised, stating, “how the f–k did this get out !”,
…came right on the heels of an article that stated that Pastor Schori feared harm from Drew.

i’ve long thought that Stacy was wise in her choice of Pastor Schori being the one person that she confided in. She knew Drew. She knew that this was one person that he couldn’t personally discredit like he does virtually everyone else. He still can’t. So he chose to slander her in her feelings, or behavior towards the Pastor.

Pastor Schori will make a very, very good witness based on that interview that i read. He appears smart, ethical, and very CREDIBLE.
i laughed when i read Abood’s statement that they will be very, “aggressive” questioning him. … yeah, good luck with that. 😀

  32. Happening today

    • About 2 p.m. Senators deliberate

  33. 11 a.m. Blagojevich’s closing argument

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Why a closing argument from Blagojevich, he wasn’t even there for the proceedings (!)

  34. Hey everyone! Listening to the Gov. This is a bad, bad thing to see.

    Anyway, back to Pudderhead.

“But I will acknowledge that I would have concerns if I was the friends and family of this young girl.”

If he were my FATHER, I’d have concerns too. This man is responsible for four minor children, and has one adult son (the other one saw his gig years ago) that should be very, very concerned about this slob too.

What I’d like to know is what he considers as his ideas for why others should be concerned? Does he think he looks like a double murderer, like the rest of us?

Closing arguments under way at Blagojevich’s impeachment trial
    11:54 a.m. Recessed until 1 p.m.

Senate President John Cullerton said the trial will resume at 1 p.m. with House prosecutor David Ellis giving his 30-minute rebuttal. For the next hour or so, the Senate Democrats and Republicans will meet in separate, private closed-door meetings. They likely will be doing some private deliberation and counting votes.

11:53 a.m. Blagojevich ends argument, leaves Senate chamber

Blagojevich finished speaking at 11:53 a.m., making it a 47-minute speech.

“Governor, it’s your choice, you’re welcome of course to remain,” said Chief Justice Thomas Fitzgerald, who is presiding over the trial.

Blagojevich shook his head no, and left the chamber.

    11:40 a.m. Blagojevich gets ‘frustrated’

Blagojevich seemed at times to be trying to patch up a bad personal relationship.

“I know we’ve had some ups and downs,” Blagojevich told senators. “But we’ve aso had some chances to work together.”

They had worked togther “a long long time, in good faith.”

“Isn’t that what a demmocracy is, and isn’t it the way our government is supposed to work?” Blagojevich asked. Sometimes, the legislature “rightfully slowed me down, because my instict was to keep doing things.”

“The ends were moral,” Blagojevich said, and the means were legal.

“I know my style sometimes–I know,” Blagojevich said. “But I wnat you to know where I come from. I have been blessed to live the American Dream.”

His father was an immigrant, Blagojevich said, a Republican cold warrior who spent time in a Nazi concentration camp, then a refugee camp. America was a place of opportunity for people “with long and hard to pronounce last names.”

And then, “Holy Cow, it happened. Hard to believe, I’m the governor of Illinois,” Blagojevich said. “What will I do with that? Squander it? Or try to do something with that?”

Blagojevich then talked about his leadership style, which often has rankled lawmakers.

“Sometimes, I get too frustrated. Sometimes, maybe I get too impatient with the process,” Blagojevich said, halfway into his 90-minute allotted time slot.

Telling the story of a woman on Chicago’s Southwest Side, the governor appeared to grow emotional as he related the story of her taking public transportation beginning before dawn.

“My policies have been all about helping families like those,” Blagojevich said. “I confess maybe I push too far.”

“It ain’t about me. Charge it to my heart,” Blagojevich said. “When you get to be governor and you get a chance to help people like that, it’s gratifying.”

“Is it the right precedent to set to take a gov twice elected and throw him out of office when you’re not able to prove criminal allegations?” Blagojevich asked. “The ends don’t justify the means. An improper impeachment not based on evidence are improper ends not justified by means.”

Impeachments are rare and set a “dangerous and chilling precedent.” Blagojevich said he was in a “unique and lonely place.”

“You haven’t been able to show wrongdoing in this trial, and you’ve deneid me the chance to bring in a whole bunch of witnesses who could say I haven’t done anything wrong and I’ve done a bunch of things right,” Blagojevich said. “Imagine what would happen (to other governors).”

“I’m asking you to acquit me … and if you’re not comfortable with an acquittal, extend this process” and let him present evidence and witnesses,” Blagojevich said. “Imagine yourself in my place. Walk a mile in my shoes.”

“Imagine going to bed comfrotably, and then the next day, your whole world changes,” Blagojevich said, and then you get home, “and the whole world’s outside your house, and before you’ve even had a chance to catch your breath, everyone has convicted you.”

“The rush to judgement has already occurred,” Blagojevich said.

Did Glenn help write this speech?

  36. Facs, Only the very last lines remind me of Selig and Peterson. The rest of it, to me, is well written. i’ve never seen anything by Selig remotely as good as that.

And it’s somewhat touching. But given what is already known about this guy, it reminds me of that story told about the ‘kid who murders his parents and pleads for pity that he’s an orphan’. 🙂

  37. Hmmm. Getting married later this year, he says. Is the fix in with the judge already? Seems awful cocky to be predicting the outcome of his divorce appeal through the court. What is it with this guy? Does he sprinkle devil dust on everyone who decides his legal matters and turn them into his very own evil enablers? Isn’t there a cop, prosecutor or judge that just can’t wait to get this guy locked up in a dank cell left only to talk to himself? Come on. Why is this guy continuing to be allowed to breathe free air? It’s time. Way past time.

  38. Gah – I only meant the last two paragraphs with reference to Selig.

I contracted elephantitis of the Copy and Paste!

  39. Hey, Wonder. Hope you’re feeling better!

Enough is enough? Yeah, LOL, I’d say so, with Pudderhead and Elrod hitting the news on the same day. The Windy City sure has harvested a couple of major windbags.

  40. This was in the Chicago Tribune, by Phil Rosenthal. I’m not posting the whole thing, because the majority of it are excerpts from the Nightline piece, but something in particular struck me.

    Originally posted: January 29, 2009
Drew Peterson talks to ‘Nightline’ about his fiancee: ‘I will acknowledge that I would have concerns if I was the friends and family of this young girl’

Drew Peterson’s marriage to the media apparently continues strong with a national TV appearance set for tonight in which the former Bolingbrook cop talks about potential wife No. 5 while maintaining he had nothing to do with the disappearance of No. 4 and death of No. 3.

Peterson remains legally married to Stacy Peterson, whose 2007 disappearance led to authorities reopening their investigation of the 2004 death of Kathleen Savio, his previous wife.

The 55-year-old, who has not been charged in either case, spoke of his engagement to Christina Raines, 23, in an interview with ABC News’ Martin Bashir that’s scheduled to air on “Nightline” at 10:35 p.m. on WLS-Ch. 7.

“I will acknowledge that I would have concerns if I was the friends and family of this young girl,” Peterson told Bashir.

But “she likes me. She likes me a lot,” he said. “I’m good to her and I treat her better than she’s ever been treated. … But I will acknowledge that I would have concerns if I was the friends and family of this young girl.”

Peterson complained about all the attention he gets from the media, and the picture of him it paints.M

….complained about all the attention he gets from the media and the picture it paints of him.

Obviously, the slob craves and loves the media attention, but it’s the way he’s coming across that he doesn’t like, heh?

  41. Wait a second, he complained to THE CHICAGO TRIBUNE, who were speaking with him about a NIGHTLINE APPEARANCE about “all the attention he gets from the media…” ?????

Does he know what the word “media” means?

  42. I guess the only solution is to keep giving interviews and making appearances until the populace suddenly loses its wits and begins to believe in his innocence?

  43. “She said she was leaving,” Peterson said. “She found somebody else. She’ll be gone for a while. And I can’t remember. It’s been played over again and again in my head her exact words. … Basically, the gist of it was that she found someone else. She was leaving. She’d be gone for a while.

I remember the snottiness in her voice,” he continued. “I was like, ‘What am I supposed to do?’ And she said, ‘deal with it.’ And that was pretty much the conversation.”
    *******************************

As much as he has a script he needs to stick to, he does tend to change or embellish this story often. I don’t think I’ve ever heard this version where she tells Drew she’ll be gone “for a while” and to “deal with it”.

  44. I agree, I never heard that version either. I’m sure it’s very difficult for him to remember what lie he told. If he’d have told the truth, obviously, he’d have an easier time keeping it straight in his empty head.

Actually, his thought processes are deteriorating day-by-day. He does not come across as having even the slightest semblance of believability, or even thoughts that make any sense. He looks beaten down, shaky and aged. He might like to give the impression everything behind his doors is peachy keen, but it doesn’t seem to be stopping him from looking like a walking zombie.

Going on national tv and saying he’d be as concerned about someone like him as Raines’ family and friends are isn’t the media’s fault or doing. He’s the butthead that made that stupid remark, and “painted” his own picture.

  45. “Bolingbrook police now say Drew Peterson told investigators Stacy called to tell Drew that her vehicle was at Bolingbrook Clow International Airport and that he should pick it up. According to Ken Teppel, spokesman for the Bolingbrook Police Department, Drew Peterson told police he went to the airport and retrieved the vehicle. “(Drew Peterson) told us Stacy called him Sunday night to tell him the vehicle had been left at the airport, and he said he went there to recover it and brought it home that night,” Teppel said. No details were provided on whether Drew Peterson was driven to the airport to retrieve the vehicle or whether he walked there. [less than 400 yards]”

    http://www.acandyrose.com/stacy_peterson_recap2.htm

Nothing about Stacy telling him to deal with it in anything else I’ve read. I think it’s just a way for him to try to gain sympathy. 🙄

    IMO it didn’t work.

  46. I’ve been looking too, Noway, and I can’t find it. I seem to remember him saying in some interview that he had asked her during the phone call about the kids and she had told him to deal…but I can’t find that.

Funny, there’s nothing in there either about the fact that he was driving around the Canal looking for the car and/or Stacy, as he mentioned a mere few months ago on Dr. Phil. I know we all heard that.

  48. I remember him saying, now that you mention it, something like “what am I supposed to do with the kids.”

But, I don’t remember him giving out detailed information. In fact, I also remember either him or Boobsky saying Drew didn’t say Stacy took a bikini – it was her sister that repeated that.

    It’s changed extensively since October 28, 2007.

  49. I guess his way of dealing with it was bar hopping, sleeping with several women, adult Internet chats, and trying to replace Stacy and get his kids a mom as fast as he could.

The above is interpreted by Drew Peterson as falling deeply in love.

  50. He is so full of s**t!!! I can’t wait for him to be arrested and charged. I have followed this case this October 2007. This is very sad. She is dead and he is out and about with the flavor of this month. I wonder what those poor children think. He is such a b**t**d.

  51. Also from http://www.acandyrose.com

GRETA: Actually when I was interviewing Drew you heard him or maybe you didn’t hear him tell me that when she left that she took money and a bikini?

    MIMS: Yes, correct.

GRETA: Have you ever heard him telling that to anyone before?

MIMS: No, what he told me was that Stacy has found somebody else she wants to be with and she’s taken off with him, she’s took a large amount of money from the house that was cash and told him she was going on vacation for a while and to pick up the car at Clow Airport.

GRETA: But you never heard the bikini thing?

MIMS: I heard him when he told you the bikini thing but he never told me that.

GRETA: You hear him tell that to anybody else?

MIMS: No, no, I believe you’re the only one he told that to.”

  52. You know, the more that time goes on, the more bazaar it is what he does and says.

I can’t stress enough I’m not making light of him or his antics – the man is not stable, he’s mentally off his mark, and he’s dangerous, if you ask me. He’s not funny, he doesn’t merit attention, and he looks like a haggard, beaten zombie.

After he’s charged, and I believed it will happen, facts will continue to come out about him. His life seems so complicated by what’s been talked about in the media, such as the original Kathleen death investigation, a “tucked away” Will he discovered, documents he notarized as a surety that never should have been accepted, revelations about just how much he did know about Stacy’s whereabouts on a day-to-day basis, and on and on.

After reading the abstract of what tonight’s interview is all about, it’s almost as though he’s laying out his pathetic defense for what’s coming. And it sure isn’t very impressive.

    JMHO.

  53. MIMS: No, what he told me was that Stacy has found somebody else she wants to be with and she’s taken off with him, she’s took a large amount of money from the house that was cash and told him she was going on vacation for a while and to pick up the car at Clow Airport.

Receipt. Receipt. You want a refund, you need to show a receipt!

  54. facsmiley // January 29, 2009 at 2:48 pm

I’ve been looking too, Noway, and I can’t find it. I seem to remember him saying in some interview that he had asked her during the phone call about the kids and she had told him to deal…but I can’t find that.
    _____________
    Facs … Maybe on LKL?

Rescue … what receipt do you mean? For parking at the airport?

  55. No, Noway, – I was merely making a wisecrack about how he claims Stacy took off with $25,000. Show us the “receipt,” is what I’m saying. I’m sure the divorce judge would be interested in seeing how he can claim that amount of money took off with Stacy, heh? She left a receipt behind, maybe, and he’ll find that it was “tucked away” somewhere, something like Kathleen’s and his Will?

  56. If it is true that Stacy told Sharon about the $25,000 being used to pay off a debt, wouldn’t there be some record of that somewhere? Couldn’t the lawyer validate that he in fact told her that she should take care of as much debt as possible prior to a divorce?

  57. See, that’s the beauty of the thing. Pudderhead doesn’t know that Stacy told Sharon, or anyone else, for that matter.

  58. Now that Blagojevich is so much in the news, Drew suddenly starts talking !

I thought he didn’t like the Media (!)

  59. JAH – he “messed” up. He meant he likes the media, he just doesn’t like the way they portray him. He wants them to make him out to be a warm and fuzzy kind of guy. 😉

  60. I don’t think DP understands why “the media” may be a little more difficult for him to control than an isolated, abused young woman.

  61. rescueapet // January 29, 2009 at 3:02 pm

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Yes, that’s right, Drew can change his story a million times, but what he has put on paper or put his signature to, he can never get away from and in his haste and greed to strip Kathleens Estate he has given investigators the tools they need to truly expose Drew Peterson.

  62. You know, I STILL have trouble believing he actually notarized his own documents.

It shows not just an utter lack of respect for the law, but a frightening certainty of his own power and invulnerability. Really, it’s nutso…

  63. It is also very telling in the very early days of Stacy’s “disappearance” Drew was moving large amounts of money and writing checks like a man posessed.

How was he already to know Stacy wasn’t going to come back a few days or a few weeks later ?

It must have upset him greatly to have his plans thwarted by becoming a suspect at Stacy’s disappearance at such an early stage.

  64. Coffe and JAH – you both just brought up really excellent points. Very compelling stuff and the actions of a guilty man.

What upset his plans and thwarted them, IMO, was the newly gained interested in Kathleen’s death and her exhumation. He never could have thought about that, and never could have expected what was to come out. It’s going to be his undoing. If not the actual murder of Kathleen, the shady backroom wheeling and dealing that went on so the greedy slob could take control of that share of the marital assets he was about to lose in the settlement.

It’ll bite him in his sorry butt.

  67. This is an excerpt from tonight’s interview:

In October 2007, he says, his wife seemed to take matters into her own hands. “She said she was leaving,” Peterson said. “She found somebody else. She’ll be gone for a while. And I can’t remember. It’s been played over again and again in my head her exact words. … Basically, the gist of it was that she found someone else. She was leaving. She’d be gone for a while.

    ***********

In an early interview with Hoda Kotb, which he could have read to refresh his memory on just what he says happened:

Hoda Kotb: You don’t think she’s out there in the woods somewhere? Or?

Drew Peterson: No, I’d be looking on a beach.

Hoda Kotb: What do you– what do you mean?

Drew Peterson: A beach somewhere, or somewhere warm, or–

Hoda Kotb: You think she ran off with someone and is just enjoying herself on a beach somewhere?

Drew Peterson: I believe that. But I’m guessing.

    Shocking Headlines
Horrifying, enraging, downright shocking … words that come to mind as you read some of the biggest headline news stories that gripped the nation in the past few weeks. Go inside the lives of ordinary people and see what happens when their lives are thrown in the spotlight during a time of crisis and tragedy. From a husband demanding his estranged wife return the kidney he donated to her, to Drew Peterson taking a new fiancée while his wife, Stacy, remains missing, Dr. Phil and his panel of experts including host Nancy Grace, HLN and attorney Lisa Bloom, tackle these topics and more. Plus, don’t miss the latest twist in the Caylee Anthony case and hear firsthand what Casey Anthony’s ex-fiancé has to say about the mom and daughter. “

  76. “I like being married,” he said. “I like having a family. … I enjoy belonging to somebody.”

But Peterson acknowledged that, while he liked the early romantic stages of each relationship, he eventually lost interest when “there was no excitement in the marriage anymore.”

“I’m basically attracted to young, beautiful women with good personalities,” he said. “That’s what I’m attracted to.”

    ****************
I can’t imagine the grotesque definition this man has in his mind of the word “Marriage.”

  77. When Pudderhead goes to file for his divorce from Stacy, and he’s going to show that she took off of her own free will and through no fault of his own, I hope this statement comes back to bite him in his butt:

Drew Peterson: Stacy was spoiled. I pampered her. It’s– a lot of that’s my fault. Stacy wanted it, she got it. High-end jewelry. Name it. She got it.

Alot of what is his fault?

  78. It’s such a sad thought, but I think DP may be telling actual truth when he says he treats Ms. Raines better than she’s ever been treated in a relationship.

Then I thought of that video from last year, Battle at Kruger, I think it was called. The one where the baby water buffalo escaped both lions and crocs. Maybe Christie’s family can pull off an escape…

    ******************

Good point. But i don’t believe this at all. And i can’t believe this came from Sharon. It was widely known the Drew controlled Everything. There was NO WAY she was allowed access to that kind of money. Cassandra said he didn’t let her have cash, and monitored all her purchases.

And she never actually met with Harry Smith.
She dissappeared the day before her appointment with him. They’d only spoken on the phone a couple of times a few days before she went “missing”.

Plus, i don’t see a lawyer giving her that advice. Debts, and assets would be sorted out later during the division of property.

If anyone has a link that Sharon said anything like that, i’d really want to see it.

  82. She had sent an e-mail to friends prior to her disappearance, saying, “As I mature with age, I’m finding that the relationship I’m in is controlling, manipulative and somewhat abusive.”

“That doesn’t even sound like something she would say,” said Peterson, “so I really question the origin of that e-mail.”

    *******

Is that statement what it’s going to take to convince a judge to grant Pudderhead a divorce, due to desertion, for which he’s not responsible?

  83. Lola, the Sharon quote comes from Hosey’s book – or at least that’s once place I’ve seen it:

“Peterson then complained of Stacy looting their safe and going on a spending spree. He said she took $25,000 from their safe at home, Bychowski said, but Stacy had told Bychowski the week before that she had transferred $25,000 to pay off a home-equity line of credit so they would only have to divide up assets and not liabilities. “But he doesn’t know that I know that,” Bychowski said. “So I just said, ‘Oh.’ “”

  84. Lola – this is from Fatal Vows:

Peterson then complained of Stacy looting their safe and going on a spending spree. “So I just said, ‘Oh.’ “

  85. I just want to get back to Kathleen and the new will she supposedly had written a few weeks before her untimely death.

If she had written a new will, she would have done this at the same time she removed Drew as a beneficiary of the $ 1.000.000 Insurance Policy as that sort of timing would make sense.

Kathleen had also made it very clear she had wanted her sister to take care of her boys.

I bet all that was in her new will as well.

My guess is Drew became aware of this new will and if he wasn’t already thinking of killing Kathleen up to that point, to see him miss out on $ 1.000.000 and the boys go to the Savios, would no doubt have set him off like a cut snake.

Not surprising Kathleen was dead a few weeks later !

  86. JAH – the thing with the Will is, though, it would still have required two witness. It doesn’t appear that it ever made it past the planning stage, so to speak. No one came forward at the time of her death to say they witnessed her Will, and no attorney provided evidence, apparently, that one had been prepared for her.

As to her wanting her sister to take care of the boys – that was never going to happen. Pudderhead is their father, and those children couldn’t just be “willed” to whomever Kathleen wanted them to be, unfortunately.

  87. Thank you Facs !

First of all, i trust Hosey as much as i trust Brodsky. His articles always stood out compared to ALL other media as Pro-Drew.
i wasn’t at all surprised when i heard he was writing a book.

i still doubt Sharon said that. Drew was in COMPLETE CONTROL of the finances.

And if this amount was a direct transfer, that would show as a bank transaction. It wouldn’t wind up in Drew’s safe.

  88. facsmiley // January 29, 2009 at 5:32 pm

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Oke – hahaha – here we go again Drew caught in another lie !

Drew reckons Stacy looted the safe of $ 25.000 in cash, but in actual fact Stacy transferred $ 25.000.00 from an account to pay off a home equity line of credit.

So where did Drew see $ 25.000 in cash gone from his safe then or did he just make that up ????????

Drew the IRS wants to know how you have $ 25.000.00 in cash sitting in your safe, which is about a third of your Police Sergeants gross annual income !

  89. I’ll have to respectuflly disgree with you Lola, on Hosey’s stance on Drew’s innoncence.

I’ve read most of his articles, as well as his book. I’ve also exchanged a few emails with the man and I haven’t seen anything to make me think he is biased in Drew’s favor. I’ve also seen a fair amount to let me know he has a very low opinion of Joel Brodsky.

I also remember a situation in which Joel was accusing Hosey of misquoting and fabricating the facts of a story (Drew’s speeding arrest concerning Kim Matuska). Hosey refuted those accusations and essentially called Joel an “idiot”.

No, I’m not buying a pro-Drew stance from “the Hose.”

  90. Pudderhead knew every move Stacy made. That’s indisputable. He would have had to know she talked to Attorney Smith on a couple of occasions, and he was well aware of who Attorney Smith was. Kathleen’s divorce attorney.

Between this and what was probably her last act, telling him she was seeking a divorce, wanted him out of the house, and was going to come clean about knowing the circumstances of Kathleen’s death, he was never going to let that happen.

However, it all sounds sinister and is all probably true, but somehow, someone has to have enough evidence and a strong enough case to see this through and charge him with a crime.

  91. rescueapet // January 29, 2009 at 5:40 pm

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I guess that will was only at the stage it had been written and Kathleen was going to give a copy to her sister but was dead before she could do so.

All this will stuff is a bit of a mystery to me, as I cannot understand how a couple with property and businessess were not required to have a will in the first place (!), thereby making it so easy for Drew to actually “find” a will heavily favoring him as a benefeciary.

  92. Hi, sorry for the interruption, but does anyone here know if the drewpetersonkills.blogspot.com site is no longer in existance? I get only a grey screen and have for the past 3-4 days?? (states “errors on page”) Thank you.

  93. It’s got a picture of the Stooges … Abood, Brodsky and Drew.

Drew apparently forgot to zip. Looks like Joel notices too. 🙄

  94. Thank you Noway. I don’t know what the problem is for me. Skips the whole page of “adult content” warning and just goes to a blank grey screen.

In the meantime I googled errors on page and it’s telling me it is a site error not a computer error.

    Oh well. Thank you again.

  95. Facs, i missed that drama between Hosey, and Joel. Which was around May, i guess. The articles i refer to were all the earlier ones. There was one in particular that got me steamed where he mentions that Kathleen’s family buried her, “in a cheap casket”. He also wrote about the FPS website, and the Savio site trying to to make profit. And the trolls really ran everywhere with those accusations. In fact, their comments are still here. He also quoted Joel’s worst slander towards Stacy in many articles, and other media didn’t do that. Particularly Joel’s slander about her fidelity.

    Savio Web site draws skepticism
    WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?
By JOE HOSEY Staff Writer – January 3, 2008
“Both the Stacy site and Drew’s erstwhile site gathered money through the Internet collection service Paypal and not exclusively through the postal service,
as the Savio site does. Drew Peterson’s lawyer, Joel Brodsky, questioned the legitimacy of mailing money to an address in Hammond to assist an unidentified
women’s shelter.”Given the method they are accepting donations, I hope there are measures in place for keeping track of where the money is going to go,” he said.
The state’s Attorney General’s office oversees the Charitable Trust Act. Individuals or organizations soliciting funds for charitable purposes are required to register
with the state. “The Attorney General’s Office doesn’t have enough information at this time to know if these individuals or groups are soliciting on behalf of a charitable purpose to know whether or not they should register with our office,” said Robyn Ziegler, a spokeswoman for the attorney general, said of the three Web sites.
But Brodsky was sure the money raised through his client’s site could not be considered charity.
“My attorney’s fees are not a charitable donation,” he said. “I get my money the old-fashioned way — I earn it.”

Peterson: ‘It happens all the time’
    A MISSING WOMAN RETURNS HOME
By JOE HOSEY Staff Writer – January 1, 2008
“This happens a lot more frequently than people are talking about. This is just another case of what happened to me happening to someone else,”
Peterson, the embattled ex-cop whose wife Stacy vanished more than two months ago, said of the case of Anu Solanki.
Drew Peterson compares the disappearance of his wife, Stacey, to the case of Anu Solanki.
“This happens all the time,” Peterson said. “I’m just another victim of it.”

  96. Lola, I agree with Facs here. I’d read others complaining about him, but I read these things differently, I guess. He can be pretty dry, just quoting. And I think that Savio website was quasi-bogus in that it was put up by a not-so-close relative without her sister’s knowledge.

  97. In tonight’s interview:

As for whether he was surprised that a mother would consider abandoning her children, he said, “Stuff happens. Mothers kill their kids. Mothers kill their spouses. Mothers do strange things.

“They become emotionally distraught and it becomes too much for them. They are overloaded. Millions of things. I’ve talked to many psychiatrists-psychologists about this. It happens. Is it unlikely? Yeah. It’s very unlikely, but it happens.”

    In September, 2008, on CBS:

Peterson said Stacy wasn’t the kind of person who would just leave her kids like that, “which makes it kind of peculiar that all this is happening. She loved her children.”

So how does this statement by him fit in with filing for a divorce on grounds of desertion, when even HE says she wasn’t the kind of person who would just leave her kids?

  98. Excuse me…hard to type while snickering… The idea of DP talking “… to many psychiatrists-psychologists about this.”

  99. “I’ve talked to many psychiatrists-psychologists”

Liar, liar. If that were true, he’d be locked up in a padded cell, with an iv drip of anti-psychotic drugs running through his veins.

  100. Sorry, I just want to carry on about the will a bit more before I forget what I was going to write by reading other stuff.

Why did Drew and Kathleen not have a prior will ???

They were married for ten years, had a family, property and businesses together, Drew was a Police Officer for crying out loud, one of the most dangerous jobs on the planet and these people never had a will until (according to Drew that is of course) they plan something as frivolous as a vacation and are suddenly gripped by the possible implications of such an event (!!)

Why did Drew and Kathleen not have a will from the beginning of their union, when they acquired property, had business together, had children ?????

Something just doesn’t make sense here !

“It’s been played over again and again in my head her exact words…”

That’s the first time I’ve heard that version. In the past talking heads criticized that he couldn’t remember, that it was the kind of thing that would be “played over and again” in someone’s head,” the exact words.” So looks like he thought he’d add that in. (but hasn’t got the final version of what she “said” worked out yet….maybe once there’s been discovery 😉 )You sad bastard, Drew.

If he did, then it would seem strange to me that he did not with Kathleen or Stacy.

If he didn’t have a will drawn up with either of them, then I’d guess he was just one of those peoples who should have had a will but didn’t.

  104. Bucket –

You’re right and this version makes even less sense. He “can’t remember,” yet “It’s been played over again and again in my head her exact words. …” The best he can deliver is “the gist”?

For a liar with so much practice, he’s not very smooth.

  105. jah & noway –

I’m guessing our DP is not necessarily a Will kinda guy. That’s a legal, straightforward, honest. by-the-book way of thinking about finances and responsibilities. And, a Will is really about caring for others, which is not one of Drewpie’s strong suits.
    jmo

  106. Wow, sometimes, just going back to mere days after Stacy’s disappearance, it’s interesting what you can find. This, I never knew. (Chicago Tribune; 11/02/2007)

“There were two items that we wanted to recover,” Illinois State Police Capt. Ken Kaupas said, referring to Thursday’s search. He declined to say what those were.

Family member Kerry Simmons said Stacy kept in the home a journal that contained notes about fights she had with her husband. “She documented everything,” Simmons said.

  107. Well, coffee, I hope they did recover it. It might not cement a murder charge, but it sure ain’t gonna help him secure a divorce on the grounds of desertion through no fault of the doofus.

  108. JAH – Legal experts suggest everyone have a Will. Does everyone? No. It’s a personal issue, JAH. If you want your assets to pass down the way you want them to, then you do a Will. If not, then you might be flipping over in that grave when you find out what happened with the living.

A Will, believe it or not, can stir up trouble. Once a Will is filed, it can be contested. Anyone’s Will can be contested in court.

If one owns joint property with another, such as real property, savings accounts, cd’s, as long as they’re held in joint tenancy, the assets automatically pass to the surviving joint tenant. No Will might ever need to be filed in that respect.

  109. Wills probably aren’t a high priority for most narcissistic, sociopathic, multiple-murderers.
After all, if it’s only going to ensure your children are cared for, how important could it possibly be?

  113. It’s true, perceptions will certainly vary. My perception was his articles were unnessessarily disgusting in tone, …and in his word for word, slanderous quotes from Joel about Stacy.
ie. emails, and fabricated details in “text messages” etc. Other media didn’t do their reports in the same way from Nov 07 till Feb. 07. You’re right about that website, but Hosey was the only one to raise question concerning the integrity of the FPS site.
As of February 07, with the announcement of his upcoming book, i found that his articles began to appear less Pro-Drew.
But then, now i learn that he eventually had his own issues with Brodsky. In any case, i still don’t view him as any kind of credible source.

  114. LOL, this is another one of the doofus remarks on NBC’s Today, in November, 2007.

“I think my silence has basically painted me guilty in the media,” he said.

  115. And then Stacy leaves him and tells him to “deal with it” and then leaves him her car because she “wants him to have it”

    Makes perfect sense !

  116. Tells him where to find the car, a short walk away from his home, I believe, but he gets in his other vehicle and searches along the Canal for the car and/or Stacy. Or, at least that’s what he told Dr. Phil.

“…If one owns joint property with another, such as real property, savings accounts, cd’s, as long as they’re held in joint tenancy, the assets automatically pass to the surviving joint tenant. No Will might ever need to be filed in that respect.”

    ************************

Now it makes more sense why he said they did it before they went on vacation. And it stated that if they would BOTH be killed, all assets would go the 4 children.

When his uncle, James Carroll became executor of Kathleen’s estate, would he likely be named as executor of a new estate if Drew and Stacy were killed in an accident ? i’m wondering if assets would automatically go to the children named in the previous estate if there was no will.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Yes lola, Hosey was Brodsky’s hand puppet for a while and basically published anything Brodsky was whispering in his ear.

There was a particularly nasty and damaging article about the Pastor in Hosey’s paper that was a word for word psychopathic Brodsky rant, but after around May of 2007 Joel Brodsky suddenly started to say disparaging things about Joe Hosey and the pro Drew/Brodsky articles stopped appearing in Joe Hoseys paper !

These days Drew and Joel have Glenn Selig as their mouthpiece and Media Guru.

No such thing as loyalty in that camp !

  119. Yeah, like no honour amonst thieves. 😉
They are also constantly promoting Armstong’s book over Hosey’s. i think the lot of them deserve eachother.

  120. I think Joel Brodsky spat his dummy and threw a tamper tantrum because Joe Hosey got a book deal way before Drew/Joel did !

That must have really hurt his super sensitive ego !

I tried to rectify tamper into temper and as a result posted twice.

    My apologies !

  123. Hi justanotherhen,
i’ve been reviewing articles trying to find the one where Drew said he wouldn’t be talking to the media anymore unless they paid him for interviews.
i remember there was mention of a possible book too. i can’t find the article. But i found this one that shows when Selig officially came on the scene.

With a beard and calmer manner, Drew Peterson tries to show his softer side
Friends, new publicist hope to help suspect in wife’s disappearance remake his image
By Erika Slife | Tribune reporter – February 29, 200

    eslife@tribune.comhttp://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chi-drew-peterson_29feb29,0,2894163.story

Wouldn’t be talking to the media ! lol
That lasted until they realized that noone would pay him, or Selig anything.

  124. Remember, neither Joel nor Drew have any reason to promote Hosey’s book. They had nothing to do with it (other than Drew being the subject). Hosey is a credentialed reporter and journalist who spent almost a year interviewing many people, including family members, friends and associates of the Peterson’s, Savio’s and Cales’.

Armstrong, on the other hand, was recruited by Glenn Selig to write “Drew’s Book” in order to give Drew’s side of the story. The whole thing was pulled together in about three months. The Drew Crew worked with Armstrong from day one and in fact the only interviews in the book are with Drew, Joel, Glenn and the guy who administered the polygraph. They do claim that Drew receives no money from the royalties, but the original offer that was made to Matt Phelps was that a percentage would go into a fund for Drew’s kids.

Also, if you notice Selig continues to distribute press releases for Armstrong and Drew continues to grant him interviews.

  125. I just watched Nightline and Dew said that he met Chrissy in a bar, thought she was cute and gave her his number.

This is different from the earlier story where Drew was familiar with her and her father since before Stacy’s disappearance. What about the amusing story of the meeting between all four in the laundromat, where Ernie had remarked how nice it was of Stacy to be doing her “father’s” laundry?

  126. And I seriously hope Chrissy was watching tonight when Drew admitted that he enjoys only the early stages of a relationship and feels that he’s entitled to seek out that excitement, even when married.

He said, “I don’t see why I should have to do without it.”

  127. Lola, IIRC Joel claimed at one point that once Drew was arrested that he would no longer give interviews. When Drew actually was arrested on the gun charge, they stuck to that for like….a week or two (?) and then he was right back at it.

  128. From memory Drew and Joel have claimed several times they wouldn’t talk to the Media anymore, but they just can’t help themselves – LOL !

What about Drew begging in his very first t.v. interview to “PLEASE get the Media off my back”.

Maybe he was begging because he hadn’t completed his Ninja missons at that stage (??)

Why is Drew suddenly giving interviews left right and centre

  129. I was going to say too:

Why is Drew suddenly giving interviews left right and centre.

Are we starved for information on his love life ?

  130. We may be getting one of those official communiques and a magazine souvenir issue like the Royal family does when there is an engagement in their midst.

  131. My comments Re: Nightline – DP looking like a disgusting POS. Baggier than ever eyes & gross gray beard. I also thought these were interesting statements from the article/interview:

“I was undercover actually for a total of five years,” Peterson said. “You basically spent your day working a con and you were getting people to believe you were something other than what you actually were and it was fun. It was exhilarating. I think the most sadistic fun you had in the whole part of the job, the look on people’s faces when you arrested them and they found out you were actually a [policeman].”

    My Comment:
I have long contended that he derived sick pleasure in Kathleen’s killing and even more to have her “found” the way she was, defenseless, nude, discolored, etc. by people she knew. She obviously took pride in her looks, and with him leaving her for SP that had to hurt. The hubs leaving you for a teenager. He got the last sadistic laugh on her to be so grossly exposed after he killed her.

“I’m a grown man,” he said. “I can do right and wrong but I was so attracted to the attention of these women that I just succumbed to it.”

    My comment:
He is really saying: I know I am wrong but I will do as I please.

“The big joke at one particular time was you had to lie to your girlfriend to see your wife,” he said. “That’s how crazy it was.”

    My Comment:
Wow that’s a real knee slapper, NOT. He is a telling us in almost every statement he is a lying, con man. He is telling us he is a killer, not that we don’t know it already from what we know about his actions and statements.

I was a smart ass,” Peterson said. “She’d get mad at me for something. She’d be going off on a rampage and instead of calming her down … [I] would set her off even worse.”

    My Comment:
Here he is again choosing bad behavior, just like all of the previous statements, purposely making bad decisions and enjoying it.

“She found somebody else. She’ll be gone for a while. And I can’t remember. It’s been played over again and again in my head her exact words. … Basically, the gist of it was that she found someone else. She was leaving. She’d be gone for a while.

    My Comment:
Huh, it’s been played again and again in your head but you can’t remember it? Right there again he is telling us HeDidIt. He is playing it in his head because Stacy did not say it. He made it up.

As for whether he was surprised that a mother would consider abandoning her children, he said, “Stuff happens. Mothers kill their kids. Mothers kill their spouses. Mothers do strange things.

    My Comment:
Replace the word Mother with father in the above words of his and there you have DP to a “T”
    .

  132. Hey, HDI. Good to see you!

Yup, this is what’s hot these days and what the 23 year old babes are looking for:

Of course, take away the swollen, red face and puffy eyes, and he’s just another run-of-the-mill double homicide suspect.

  133. “Stuff happens. Mothers kill their kids. Mothers kill their spouses. Mothers do strange things.”

Agreed. This was a VERY strange comment. No one is accusing Stacy or Kathleen of murder.

Truly, Drew looked as if his whole face was puffed up from some sort of allergic reaction. He looked ill and miserable. Not like someone flushed by a a new romance.

  134. Sorry, I’ve been trying to do a quick read through 😉

    Rescue @ 7:06 PM
    The CBS 9/2008

    …”She loved her children.”

    LOVED – past tense.

Seriously, if you just take everything he says, there is something revealing in it about the truth.

  135. “I will acknowledge 100% that I would have concerns if i were the friends and family of this young girl.”

Is he admitting he’s about to blow again and take the life of another human being? Because, the more this man (and I use that term hesitantly) talks, the more bazaar he sounds.

If Boobsky and Sellit condoned this latest appearance, they’re all on a mission to self-destruct. This did nothing but put Pudderhead in an even deeper public image hole, and expose him as a boozed-up, crazed-looking zombie that’s about to crack.

  136. Sellit. Guffaw! 😀

Hey, maybe those aren’t just really bad eyebrows.

Perhaps… highly sophisticated, surgically implanted listening devices – one for receiving and one for transmitting?

We put a man on the moon, didn’t we?

  137. LOL, HDI.

He no longer sounds like the confident, in-your-face homicide suspect, it would seem. He’s not on his mark anymore about what he needs to remember, specially about his wife telling him she was leaving him. Admitting, with a wink and a nod from his attorney, that he basically enjoys lying and conning people, admitting to the chase and the kill of new, grown old, relationships.

This guy is a freak show. Looks like the booze has more control over him than either one of his attorney or PR rep.

  138. Seriously, he looked as if we were about to implode.

ABC did manage to get their mitts on a fair amount of previously unseen video. Vicky Connolly was really gorgeous and it was creepy to see her with Drew.

It was sad to see the clips from Kathleen’s wedding. You could see what a strong woman she was.

Saddest for me was to see up-to-date video that shows how much Kathleen’s and Stacy’s kids have grown. So much time has passed and there Drew still is…free…grotesque.

  139. It has to be gnawing it at him continually.

    Will it be tonight?

    Will I be sleeping?

Will I be on the throne?

    When?

He knows what they have on him, it must be eating at him constantly.

He won’t kill this one. He needs a cleaning woman, babysitter, etc. He is old, he can’t hang. He can’t drink and be the media darling and fly hither and yon for talk shows and deal properly with those kids.

He will also need her to do his bidding while he is locked up. She will do it because she is obviously easily manipulated.

  140. Yawn.

Doesn’t seem like there is anything new in this case at all.

Drew is so guilty. It is so obvious. There is so much compelling evidence. It is all just little bits and pieces but come on! There are so many pieces it forms a mountain!

I’m sure he’ll be arrested by Valentines Day.

  141. Can I just point out as well….way to go, Glenn Selig!

Let history record the name of the man who came up with the masterstroke of taking the disgraced governor of Illinois under his wing pro-bono, and organizing a two-day media blitz aimed at the public….when it was the Senate who had the power to oust him?

How did that work out? 59-0 thumbs DOWN.

    Ouch.

  142. I say look out for Blago. I see desperation in his face. He is trying so hard to hold on to something he had and should have respected and done very well for himself and his family.

He is now thoroughly disgraced. The only thing that could make things worse at this point would be gay lover thrown in the mix. (Who knows?)

And now the criminal charges lie ahead and he knows they will stick. Resko is blabbing and so are others. He is the big fish they want and the little fish are all singing. There is no room to bargain for him.

Now we wait until they announce that “the impeached, disgraced (and soon to be indicted) Guv has been found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.”

His FIL Alderman Mell said all along he was a bad apple. It caused all kinds of friction in the family. Now foul-mouth Patti Blago knows her Father was oh-so-right all along.

Into the roof of the mouth Rod – not the temple.

Yeah that Media Blitz really worked out well for the now EX Governor.

What was the point he was actually trying to make by going to New York.

How was that supposed to benefit or enhance his cause to get his name cleared in Illinois ?

Glenn Selig works in strange and onorthodox ways to “promote” his misfits and Blago will now always have his name synonymous with murder suspect Drew Peterson !

    A Great Achievement !

He knows what they have on him, it must be eating at him constantly.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Exactly, he knows what they have on him and he can only guess what else they may have ferreted out and how far back it goes, hence the desperate fishing expeditions on Brodsky’s part.

Poor Christina, she doesn’t have a clue what she got herself involved in !

  146. Yeah Christina is pretty stupid huh? All she’s seeing is $$$$$$$ signs. A free ticket to what everyone else works for and earns a bit at a time. House, vehicles, heck even a swimming pool.

I wonder how she’s going to hold up to the constant staring and comments from those next door once the weather warms up and there are people coming, going and hanging around.

I wonder if Sharon Bychowski will take her under her wing too?

  147. I’m not so sure if Christina specifically sees $$$$$$$ in Drew.

I think what she sees in Drew is a guy offering to help her and fussing over her.

He would be the type of guy wanting to driver her to her work and pick her up “making sure she is oke”.

To her that would be wonderful as it seems he is truly caring for her, but they are his early signs of control, which she won’t be able to recognize as she doesn’t know what she is dealing with.

Next he will want to isolate her from her friends/family by saying they don’t have her best interest at heart like he does and Christina will still think Drew is saying these things because he is caring.

He will make her more and more dependant on him and of course by having her in his house with her children, he is already halfway there.

By the time Christina figures out Drew is controlling and suffocating, it’s too late and he will have become overbearing, suspicious and sadistic.

Never mind, Drew is a lovely guy for now !

  148. Morning everyone

    No GJ news? Bummer.

I wonder where DP is getting his “sadistic fun” since he’s been a disgraced ex-cop? Is sadistic fun why he chose a career in LE? Is that what he’s telling us?

  149. All I can say is let the dumb guy keep talking and doing public interviews that can be replayed in court if he is ever charged.

I watched Nightline last night and there was just so much wrong with his own words and demeanor driving by the places where Kathy died and where he met Stacy.

If I were a betting woman – I’d put lots of money down that his whole quote about enjoying the con of being undercover and pretending to be something you are not to fool people would be played along with his “shit happens” attitude rather than compassion when talking about Kathy and Stacy.

I also found it interesting that he looked away and sounded kind of choked up when he said that he liked to belong to someone.

And screw this guy saying all kinds of stuff about how the media is making him look sinister and harming his kids. This guy is so full of himself that he thinks he cannot stop mugging for the camera and surely did these interviews because his name was dropping off of the headlines.

BTW – Why wasn’t Joel with him during this interviews? Haven’t heard much from Joel. Is he still on the case?

  150. The whole idea that his attorney would even condone this recent interview is just mind boggling. What in the whole train-wreck of this interview made DP look better in the public’s view, or showed that he’s a responsible, caring parent to his own four children?

Saying he acknowledges 100% that he’d have concerns if he were Raines’ family and friends? Why, is he admitting he’s capable of taking her life too? Hopefully, she’s an undercover something that he’s too boozed up and delusional to see.

I am positive that there must be something coming soon and he knows it. This engagement/marriage/interview blitz he’s been on is his sick way of trying to show he’s anything but sinister, and it’s backfiring. He knows they’re close to coming for him. It shows me he’d rather deflect what’s coming by having the public think he may chase young women, but nothing more. He’d rather have us think that of him than think he killed two of his wives, except he’s the one that is living in a delusional world, not us.

Blagojevich’s last act: Clemency for 2
    January 29, 2009 5:19 PM | 18 Comments

On his last day in office, Gov. Rod Blagojevich granted clemency today to a former drug dealer who works as a janitor at a homeless shelter that once employed the governor’s wife, as well as a real estate mogul who was convicted of theft in the mid-1980s. The real estate mogul bought Oprah Winfrey’s 160-acre Indiana farm in 2005.

The governor ordered that the criminal convictions of both Jimmie Beck, 40, the janitor, and Fred Latsko, 43, who owns a development company, be wiped off public court records.

As his time in office dwindles, Blagojevich expunges criminal records of former drug dealer and real estate mogul

By Gary Marx | Tribune reporter
    January 30, 2009

In his final hours in office Thursday, Gov. Rod Blagojevich ordered the criminal records expunged for a former drug dealer who works as a janitor in a homeless shelter as well as a politically connected real estate mogul.

The action erases any public record of the convictions of Jimmie Beck, 40, a recent co-worker of the governor’s wife, and Fred Latsko, 43, an entrepreneur and socialite who was convicted of theft years ago.

But in an odd twist, the governor’s last-minute move brought far more attention to their criminal pasts than their relatively minor offenses would normally receive.

The governor also pardoned Beck, who was convicted of several drug crimes and battery. Latsko was pardoned in 1989 of his lone conviction for theft by deception.

Beck said he met Blagojevich’s wife, Patricia, while the two worked at the Chicago Christian Industrial League, a West Side homeless shelter; she was fired last week.

Beck, a former drug addict and dealer, said he approached the governor at a Thanksgiving event in the shelter, recounted his story of redemption and asked whether he could pardon him to improve his job prospects.

“It’s just a blessing,” Beck said after learning of the pardon from a Tribune reporter. “I believe it’s the work of the Lord. It’s hard getting employment when you got a [criminal] background.”

Beck said he had no special relationship with Blagojevich’s wife, though the two were photographed together at a recent fundraiser. Patricia Blagojevich declined to comment Thursday.

Former Gov. Jim Thompson, who pardoned Latsko in 1989 after summoning him to Springfield for an interview, recalled that Latsko was convicted of using another person’s credit card to buy clothing in Wilmette.

“He was just a kid,” Thompson said. “He told me that he . . . had turned his life around.”

At the time, Illinois law gave Thompson the authority to pardon Latsko but not expunge his criminal record.

In a brief telephone interview from Los Angeles while on business, Latsko declined to discuss his theft conviction but appeared surprised by the action.

  152. Joel? He should be very busy! Too busy to try to pry his way into Blago’s debacle, but he did it anyway.

Anybody figure out yet whyNeil Schori would lie about anything? DP says he may have just fabricated what Stacy told him. Joel so can’t wait to question him……and we know why. Schori has more detail he wouldn’t divulge, and they are desperate to know what those details are. (Although I don’t know how JB will be able to look him in the eye, especially after DP hinted Schori’s a liar, too.)

Oh. Can anyone remember reading that DP never returned his SWAT clothes?

  153. Here’s the video link for last night’s debacle, if anyone missed it.

Normally, I’d say it’s not worth seeing him on one of his media campaigns, but this particular interview with and of him is wicked. Shows that he’s got nothing left to say but how conning, sinister, creepy and womanizing he is. And that he’s 100% in agreement with those who think he’s someone to be wary of. Oh, well.

Yeah Christina is pretty stupid huh?…I wonder if Sharon Bychowski will take her under her wing too?
    ************************************

If Sharon still feels the way she did when she was interviewed by Hosey for ‘Fatal Vows’, then it would seem so:

…Ever since Stacy went missing, Bychowski has spearheaded efforts to search for her and keep her memory alive. She’s also vowed to tell any young woman seen venturing into Peterson’s home exactly what she suspects happened to his last wife, not to mention the one before her.
“He’ll never have a girlfriend out here that I won’t say something to,”Bychowski said.
What will Bychowski tell the next prospective Peterson love interest?
“You need to think about this. The last one died. The one before died. You’re next.”

  157. You know, of all the things I’ve considered and thought about in this whole sorted mess, I never once questioned what Sharon was going to do about any of DP’s past, present or future girlfriends. Should I have?

  159. Peterson fiancee moves out
    Friday, January 30, 2009 | 11:24 AM
    Drew Peterson appears on ‘Nightline’

January 30, 2009 (WLS) — The fiancee of Drew Peterson apparently moved out of his Bolingbrook home Friday morning.

Derek Armstrong, author of “Drew Peterson Exposed” says Peterson blames the father of Christina Raines for the breakup. Armstrong says Ernie Raines showed up Friday morning with a news crew and the police to “move out her stuff.”

Peterson appeared on ABC’s Nightline Thursday night and talked about his relationship with his fiancee and about their wedding plans.

For the first time since his engagement, former Bolingbrook policeman Drew Peterson is talking publicly about the woman who plans to become his fifth wife.
Peterson, 55, sat down with ABC’s Martin Bashir.

Among other things, he discussed how he understands why his past would cause some to question his fiancee’s choice to marry him.

Peterson is still legally married to his fourth wife, Stacy, and he remains a suspect in her disappearance in the fall of 2007.

Peterson says he hopes to marry his fiancee, who is more than three decades younger, in the next few months.

He appeared on Nightline Thursday night.

Peterson said that his much younger fiancee likes him because he’s a “good guy.” She turned down a request for an on-camera interview.

Authorities are also investigating the death of Peterson’s third wife, Kathleen Savio, whose body was found in an empty bathtub in her house in 2004. The former Bolingbrook police sergeant hasn’t been named a suspect in her death.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

  162. Hosey just release an article.

A day after Drew Peterson told ABC’s “Nightline” he hoped to marry the 24-year-old woman who had moved in with him — she moved out.
Police Lt. Ken Teppel confirmed that three squad cars had responded to Peterson’s home about 10:30 a.m. Friday.
Teppel said Ernie Raines, the father of Christina Raines, had showed up at Peterson’s home with a camera crew from “The Dr. Phil Show.”

GO DR. PHIL !!!!! lol 😀

  163. rescueapet // January 30, 2009 at 12:20 pm

Please, please, please, let it come out that she’s a plant!!!!!!
    **************

i was just hoping the same thing !

  164. i can just imagine Dr. Phil saying, “If that were MY daughter ….”

i wonder if Dr. Phil talked some sense into Christine.

  165. “About five squad cars came to the house, said police spokesman Lt. Ken Teppel. Police were responding to a call by Raines’ father, Ernie, who had come to Peterson’s home earlier in the morning to help his daughter move out. A crew from the “Dr. Phil Show” was also there, Teppel said.
Police helped Raines move her belongings out in garbage bags, boxes and bins, Teppel said.”

    http://www.chicagobreakingnews.com/2009/01/police-help-drew-petersons-girlfriend-move-out.html

    HIS co-workers. lmao !

  166. The sad thing is … Drew will be telling us soon that she caused psychological damage to his children and that he had to tell them that Chrissy never loved them.

    🙄

  167. Armstrong is involved in this somehow, since he’s been quoted on the abc local news site.

Has the National Enquirer been seen yet? Did Armstrong plant Chrissy Raines? Is he paying her? Was she planted by the National Enquirer?

Because, if she wasn’t planted by someone, she’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

If she was planted by someone, she can see the dollars signs coming!!

  168. Even if it weren’t for the MURDER thing, this interview snippet from last night would be enough to make me break up with someone:

BASHIR: So, would it be true then to say that for somebody like you, you enjoy the early stages of the romance, the getting married, the excitement of all of that…

    PETERSON: Right.

BASHIR: …and then as things settle down you maybe lose a bit of interest?

PETERSON: Yes, very much so. The women I was involved with would change or they wouldn’t do anything to work at the relationship or keeping me happy as a man. And subsequently the relationships broke down.

BASHIR: When you say, “didn’t keep you happy as a man” what do you mean?

PETERSON: Romantically. They get tied up with the kids and everything and there was no excitement in the marriage anymore.

BASHIR: Do you mean they weren’t as sexually involved with you as you would have liked?

PETERSON: Sexually involved, romantically involved, doing little cuddling things. They seemed to be bored with me romantically after a few years.

BASHIR: And so as that interest in you declines you then start looking elsewhere.

    PETERSON: Yes.

BASHIR: And that seems to happen on a number of occasions to you.

    PETERSON: Correct.

BASHIR: That’s a bit of a weakness, correct, in you? I mean, couldn’t you sacrifice that for a bit?

PETERSON: Well I sacrificed it for a bit but it’s something that I enjoy and the thing is why should I live without it?

  169. The comment that he’s 100% in agreement that Raines’ family and friends should be concerned just about cemented his fate!

100% sure that if she turns up dead, he’s the man.

  170. BASHIR: How many years were you undercover?

PETERSON: I was undercover actually a total of about five years. You basically spent your day working a con and you were getting people to believe you were something other than what you were and it was fun.

    BASHIR: You enjoyed that.

PETERSON: I thought it was funny that you were able to get people to believe that you were something other than what you really were.

BASHIR: Do you think that being able to deceive people as a narcotics officer, in a way, was not helpful to you when it came to being faithful to your wives?

PETERSON: I think so. In fact, I was on some TV shows where I was asked, “You can con anybody on anything.” and they go, “Are you conning us now?” and I’d have to say, “No.” but in looking at it objectively, how do you know?

  171. http://www.wbbm780.com/pages/3726762

You can hear the report in the Audio Archive on that page. They say the split was partly due to the ABC report last night. LOL:

It appears Drew Peterson’s love life may be in shambles once again. WBBM’s Mary Frances Bragiel reports.

  172. Fiancee Leaves Drew Peterson After ‘Nightline’ Story

Peterson Says Fiancee Christina Raines Had Second Thoughts After TV Show Aired

By MARTIN BASHIR, ERIC JOHNSON and KATIE ESCHERICH
    Jan. 30, 2009

Drew Peterson told ABC News today that his fiancee dumped him as they watched his interview Thursday on “Nightline.” Peterson told anchor Martin Bashir that his fiancee called him a liar, packed her bags, and left. Peterson told Bashir, “The engagement is over because of your interviews.”

On Thursday night, Glenn Selig, the former police officer’s publicist, called the “Nightline” story fair. Joel Brodsky, Peterson’s lawyer, said he believed his client came across as “forthcoming.”

During Thursday night’s “Nightline” interview, Peterson said he understood why his future fifth wife’s loved ones are concerned for her safety. But Peterson, who is a suspect in the disappearance of his fourth wife Stacy and the death of his third wife Kathleen Savio in their Bolingbrook, Ill., home, said that “I’m a good guy.”

Peterson’s first two wives have complained about him being very controlling and, before her disappearance, Stacy allegedly told her minister that Peterson confessed to killing Savio.

“All of which didn’t happen,” Peterson told “Nightline” in his first interview since his engagement. “But I will acknowledge that I would have concerns if I was the friends and family of this young girl.

“She likes me. She likes me a lot,” he said of his fiancée Christina Raines, 23. “I’m good to her and I treat her better than she’s ever been treated.”

    http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/story?id=6770060&page=1

  173. Facs, that interview just shows what kind of scum Drew Peterson is.

Whatever Chrissy’s reasons for moving it … she did the right thing.

PETERSON: Well I sacrificed it for a bit but it’s something that I enjoy and the thing is why should I live without it?

I wonder if he lived without it with Stacy. Doubtful. IMO

  174. I’ll bet anything that was the line that did it.

What a freakin’ sense of entitlement! When I saw him say that last night, I actually rewinded it to see if that’s really what he had said.

Why would any woman stay with a man who truly believes that he has some sort of ‘right’ to cheat?

  175. Geesh, that didn’t take long!

Not because of what you said during the interview, Drew?

Even a woman who only “likes you a lot” isn’t going to put up with that crap. No matter how dumb you think she is.

  176. I spent the morning transcribing just the interview excerpts from last night’s show.

See if you can find which particular statement made Chrrisy jump up, call Drew a liar and get the hell out of dodge:

  177. rescueapet // January 30, 2009 at 1:20 pm

She called him a murderer too.
    **********************

I hope Phil’s cameras caught that. Video gold.

  178. Facs, I just commented on another blog that my eyes were rolled in my head with every comment Drew made. Seeing them in writing was just as bad.

I was afraid they’d get stuck up there.

    🙄

Rescue, did she call him a murderer, is it on film, and do you know when/why she said that when she had before said “no way” to him being involved?

You went from “rumor” to stating it as fact, and I just wanted to know your source.

  179. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,485905,00.html

More coverage on Fox. A lot of the same so I won’t paste the whole thing. Some new stuff:

“The couple has broken up. Peterson, 54, blames her father and the press.

“This is what the media always does to me,” Armstrong quoted Peterson as saying. “As soon as the story got out on Chrissy, I knew it would be a problem for us.”

Peterson admitted that his appearance on ABC’s Nightline Thursday didn’t help the situation.

In the segment, Peterson told the reporter, “I’d be wary of me too” when asked about Christina Raines’ family and said that “when the romance is gone” in his relationships, he tends to have flings and move on.

The comments sparked a fight between the couple, Armstrong said. Christina Raines returned the engagement ring and a cell phone.”

“Ernie Raines came to Peterson’s home in Bollingbrook, Ill., Friday morning with a news crew and the police and demanded that his waitress daughter leave, Armstrong said in a press release.”

I guess check Glenn’s or Kunati Books for the press release…

  180. noway –
Peterson told Bashir, “The engagement is over because of your interviews.”

Not because of what you said during the interview, Drew?
    *****
Of course not, noway!! NOTHING is ever DP’s fault!
Except, of course, the fact that Stacy was “spoiled” by his complete pampering and constant gift giving. Even he had admits that failing…

  181. Hmmm. No tweet from the PublicityAgency? And here I’m following them just so I can get those up-to-the-minute updates on their clients.

  182. This might be completely off-base, but more and more I wonder if Drew was seeing Chrissy even prior to Stacy’s disappearance.

    1. He has admitted that he cheats on his wives once the ‘romance’ of the first years is gone.

    2. There was in radio interview with a girl who said she was Chrissy’s cousing, Jenny. She said that she wanted Chrissy to get away from Drew and claimed that “She’s been messing with him for years”.

    3. Ernie Raines said he and his daughter met Drew and Stacy Peterson at a Bolingbrook coin-op laundry in 2003. He said that he told a then-17-year-old Stacy it was nice that she was doing her father’s laundry, but that in fact the clothes belonged to Drew.

    4. In March of last year it was reported that Drew took a woman who had two children with him to the Great Wolf Lodge in Wisconsin Dells.

But on Nightline last night Drew claimed that he had been dating Chrissy for five months (?) and that he met her at a bar. He saw her sitting there and and thought she was “cute as a button” so he gave her his number.

Is he on Twitter? I couldn’t find him.

  184. According to cbs2chicago.com:

“You can see the story about Drew Peterson and his engagement on “The Dr. Phil Show” today at 4 p.m. on CBS 2. Also look for more from Mike Puccinelli on the CBS 2 News at 5 p.m.”

It’s so cool to have ATT U-Verse. I can set my DVR remotely from work!

  186. “Drew Peterson Girlfriend Moves Out – With Cops – Jan. 30, 2009
It’s so difficult to date a suspected murderer. There are trust issues, and then of course that fear of closing your eyes at night. So it should come as no surprise that Drew Peterson’s fiancée called it off today – in dramatic fashion. Police were called to the home of the former Bolingbrook, Ill. Sgt. to help Christina Raines, 24, move out. …. We think it was probably something more than “can you help me lift this heavy box.” ….”

    http://radaronline.com/exclusives/2009/01/drew-peterson-girlfriend-moves-out-with-cops.php

    …. lolololol 😀

“Nightline Interview Caused Drew Petersen Split!
    Radar Exclusive – Jan. 30, 2009
UPDATE: Christina Raines watched her fiancé Drew Peterson on Nightline with her father. Erie Raines picked up her daughter from work last night and made her watch Drew’s TV appearance with him, Drew’s pal Derek Armstrong told RadarOnline.com exclusively. Christina was furious about what Drew said and broke up with him by phone last night before having the cops help her move out this morning, when she gave him back his ring and cell phone.
It was a comment that Drew Peterson made last night on TV’s Nightline that caused his fiancée to move out, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
Christina Raines, 24, pulled the plug on the relationship after Peterson indicated that when the “romance is gone” he tends to have flings or move on. Derek Armstrong, author of Drew Peterson Exposed told RadarOnline.com that Drew told him those comments triggered a huge argument and the beginning of the end.
Armstrong also told RadarOnline.com that Drew said: “It’s probably for the best” but complained, “We just spent thousands of dollars on new furniture.” ….

    http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2009/01/nightline-interview-caused-drew-petersen-split.php

  187. No, Facs … tweeting not twittering.

Christina Raines watched her fiancé Drew Peterson on Nightline with her father. Erie Raines picked up her daughter from work last night and made her watch Drew’s TV appearance with him, Drew’s pal Derek Armstrong told RadarOnline.com exclusively.

    http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/20….ersen-split.php

Did Drew not make it sound like she broke up with him while they (Drew and Chrissy) watched his interview? Or did I just read it that way, and he really meant they (Ernie and Chrissy)?

  188. noway, i was thinking that she called him from her dad’s house while the show was still on.
Drew was watching it at his house.

  189. http://www.chicagobreakingnews.com/2009/01/police-help-drew-petersons-girlfriend-move-out.html

Again, I won’t post the whole article…just new juicy bits:

“Peterson declined to comment on the details of the breakup but he did question the public’s fascination with his relationship.

“Isn’t it hilarious that the citizens in the country are more interested in my love life than the impeachment of governor?” Peterson said. “We have an impeached governor and every time I go on a date, they’re more interested in that. I’m boggled. This is beyond me. It’s like Drew TV.””

“Ernie Raines said he thought that an interview Peterson had done on “Nightline”–which aired Thursday–sparked her decision to leave him.

He said his daughter called him Thursday afternoon–before the “Nightline” interview aired, but after snippets were circulating in the media–saying that she needed his help moving out of Peterson’s house.

But during his interview with the Tribune this afternoon Christina Raines yelled from the background: “I was leaving regardless!” ”

“His daughter sat in her car while he talked to Peterson. “I was nervous because he was going to be mad,” Christina Raines said in the background while her father spoke with the Tribune.”

“Ernie Raines said his daughter has moved back into the apartment she had shared with her boyfriend of more than a year.

According to Mike, Christina Raines returned to their Romeoville apartment on Monday to get some of her belongings. The couple had not spoken in three weeks since she moved in with Peterson, but on Monday he said he started to tell her that she should end things with Peterson.”

  190. So…I guess now Christina has returned to one of those “previous abusive relationships” that she left behind when she moved in with Drew? 😦

  191. wow Facs, this is Armstrong’s version on Fox.

“Drew Peterson’s Fiancee Moves Out After Father Issues Ultimatum

The fiancée of ex-cop Drew Peterson, who is suspected in the disappearance of his fourth wife and the death of his third, is leaving him after her father gave her a “him or me” ultimatum. Christina Raines, 24, was packing up and moving out of Peterson’s Chicago-area house Friday with her two children after her father, Ernie Raines, forced the issue, according to “Drew Peterson Exposed” author Derek Armstrong.

Ernie Raines came to Peterson’s home in Bollingbrook, Ill., Friday morning with a news crew and the police and demanded that his waitress daughter leave, Armstrong said in a press release.

The couple has broken up. Peterson, 54, blames her father and the press. “This is what the media always does to me,” Armstrong quoted Peterson as saying. “As soon as the story got out on Chrissy, I knew it would be a problem for us.”

  192. :facsmiley // January 30, 2009 at 2:24 pm

Heh, Noway. When you update Twitter it’s called a “tweet”.

    _____________
    😀
Yeah but I meant it in the old fashioned way.

Had to check Webster online just to make sure that defintion hadn’t made it here yet, and I was waaaayyy behind!

    This made me laugh:
    Quick definitions (tweet)

▸ noun: a week chirping sound as of a small bird

    http://www.onelook.com/?w=tweet&ls=a

The “facts” on why Chrissy left and when she left and how she told Drew … it’s enough to make your head spin.

  193. “Isn’t it hilarious that the citizens in the country are more interested in my love life than the impeachment of governor?” Peterson said. “We have an impeached governor and every time I go on a date, they’re more interested in that. I’m boggled. This is beyond me. It’s like Drew TV.””
    ________________
    Am I reading this right?

The governor just got impeached yesterday. How many dates has he been on since then?

  194. I guess it IS Drew TV when you continue to grant interview after interview, clown it up at bars and clubs, generate spectacles in your front yard, call radio shows, roll down your window and talke to people on your way to court, chat with women at adult online sites, etc.

OK, technically I guess the radio shows would have to be Drew Radio.

  195. Get ready for new photos of Drew mugging with the little girls at the bar like the last time he and Chrissy broke up…

  196. Well I am glad she has “seen the light” with a lot of convincing from her Father….and I bet Sharon was watching from her house laughing at all the drama. Just pray he is arrested soon or that CPS will come and take the children away, I pray for those children often, they all deserve to know their biological Mothers.

  197. Good God, things are moving fast in Drews peculiar life.

One minute he’s on t.v. professing his undying (hmm would that be the right choice of words here) love and upcoming marriage to this “young girl” and next the cops and Dr. Phil film crew are at his door moving her out and she’s calling him a murderer (!)

Would it be a silly question to ask: What Happened ?

    LOL, LOL !!

  198. I know this is really obvious but still, it just struck me that Drew explained that he starts cheating when his wives appear to become ‘bored’ with him. They get bored…but he is the one who then cheats. Sounds more like he is the one who gets bored, for heaven’s sake!

  199. Now is the time I trawl the comment threads looking for anything meaty from people claiming to be family or friends.

Comment on teh Chicagoist Blog from a stranger, but still a good one:

Wait, you can just call the cops and they’ll help you move? Son of a bitch – I busted my ass moving that dresser!

  200. http://www.jossip.com/the-publicity-agencys-last-stop-20090130/

    The Publicity Agency’s Last Stop

Now that Rod Blagojevich is officially ousted as governor, and Illinois cop-cum-alleged-wife-killer Drew Peterson had a devastating interview on Nightline that ended with his 23-year old fiancee leaving him (smartest move she’ll ever make), what’s going to happen to The Publicity Agency, the Florida PR firm that was representing both these men, via Twitter?

Since the last Tweet came 18 hours ago, you can bet that both Blago and Peterson are done with their magical publicity tours. But if you know any other very guilty criminals trying to create a three-ring circus out of their case, let these guys know.

  201. The couple has broken up. Peterson, 54, blames her father and the press.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Of course it’s her father and the Press, it couldn’t possibly have anything to do with Drew being a double murder suspect.

That would be too easy !

  202. I’m glad she got out before she got in “too deep” (another bad choice of words here)

Oh well the children will have an interesting story to tell when they grow up !

OH!! LOL! Ummmm.. Guess my mind is in the gutter today! (She says as her face turns ver red..)

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    Don’t worry,

if used in relation to Drew it could easily mean what you think it meant

  205. TAI – No problems. You made me laugh! 🙂

My serial killer connection is to Andrew Cunanan, the guy who went on a killing spree and whose victims included Lee Miglin and Gianni Versace.

His first victim was Jeffrey Trail, and Trail’s father brought me his Naval uniform and medals to scan so that he could add pictures of them to a web site honoring his son.

  206. Please, please, please, let it come out that she’s a plant!!!!!!

    *** AND ***

    They’re coming for him. Soon.

Maybe the GJ finished up yesterday and the end is near!

    ****************************

Oh that plant thing would be the best! Everything would finally make sense, because this so-called relationship sure didn’t!

Because of the timing, I was hoping too there was a connection between yesterday’s GJ happenings.

I don’t believe it was just because of the interview from Nightline, that didn’t add much to the existing dirt regarding DP.

  207. I don’t think LE would risk young children as part of an undercover plant.

Christina is probably just Christina, an attractive and needy young woman that made her an easy target for someone like Drew Peterson.

  208. FYI – I just saw a teaser that Channel 2 news (local) has exclusive footage of today’s move. They actually showed a tiny portion of it.

  209. Channel 7 news highlighted the fact that yesterday, Drew said he liked the attention from the media – today he says he doesn’t.

    Aw, pooh baby

  210. rescueapet // January 30, 2009 at 4:21 pm

FYI – I just saw a teaser that Channel 2 news (local) has exclusive footage of today’s move. They actually showed a tiny portion of it.

    ***

On another forum I said that they will likely play some of it on the news because otherwise they risk a different channel getting the first videos out there.

Doesn’t seem like Drew is as newsworthy as he thought. In spite of acting the fool in that interview – no other news channel seemed to be parked outside of his house except the Dr. Phil show which was called on by Chrissy’s dad. Bet they are kicking their butts today!!

  211. Drew Peterson is a nuclear meltdown.

He goes to the lounges tonight, I bettcha they’ll be playing this song for him:

You never close your eyes anymore when I kiss your lips.
And there’s no tenderness like before in your fingertips.
You’re trying hard not to show it, (baby).
But baby, baby I know it…

    You’ve lost that lovin’ feeling,
    Whoa, that lovin’ feeling,
    You’ve lost that lovin’ feeling,
    Now it’s gone…gone…gone…wooooooh.

  212. I’m just waiting for the Drew-True-To-Form badmouthing to start.

Chrissie’s dad will most likely be his first target and Christinas shortcomings will be next.

The fact he just professed his “love” for her a day earlier would be of no consequence to Drews chameleon like character.

  213. I still always think about Stacy when I hear the song “Apologize”.

“You tell me that you need me
Then you go and cut me down, but wait
    You tell that you’re sorry
Didn’t thikn I’d turn around and say

That it’s too late to apologize, it’s too late
I said it’s too late to apologize, it’s too late…

  214. JAH – It has already happened. It’s the media’s fault, it’s the interviewer’s fault, it’s her dad’s fault and by golly Armstrong said he complained that he just spent thousands of dollars on new furniture.

  215. Oh yeah – and it’s all of his ex’s fault that he cheated because they got bored with him and didn’t satisfy his manly sexual needs. He also blamed all of his kids on that because it sure seemed like it always happened after they had the kids.

  216. I’m proud of Ernie Raines. I admit I laughed when I was watching the news but I respect him for doing what it took to get his daughter and grandkids out of that house.

  217. For those of you who may have seen the Channel 2 news piece on the Ernie Raines/Drew Peterson confrontation, you already know what happened. Those who didn’t – let me tell you.

Once again, when a man>/i> showed up to have a discussion with the coward, he hid behind his door and threw out words. The coward only knows how to deal with weak and vulnerable women. He can’t stand up to another man – that is, because he doesn’t have his badge or his guns to hide behind anymore. When he thinks that someone might be there to stand up to him like a man, he cowers like a mouse in the corner. For once, someone else called 911! We all know Peterson has 911 on his speed dial, but looks like he got one-upped this time. You go, Ernie Raines!

What a mealy mouthed, pathetic, coward he is.

  218. The crew that got all the footage today was from The Today Show, at least that’s what’s being reported on CBS local news. They said it’ll be on their program Monday morning.

Brodsky said neither he nor Drew would be talking today. Yeah, right.

Good job, Mr. Glenn Sellit! Bettcha they’ll be beating down your door to hire you as a publicity agent.

Same for you, Mr. Boobsky. Who wouldn’t think of you as a dream defense attorney, what with the way you handle your run-away, out-of-control nut-job of a client.

    Happy Days are Here Again!

  219. For those who missed the CBS local news it showed Ernie Raines being turned away from Drew’s front door. He shouted something like, “Don’t do me that way, Drew! Don’t tell me to come back later. I’m calling the Police! I’m calling 911!” Then he waded through the snowy front yard to his car in the driveway and shouted to Chrissy, who stood up out of her car which was parked in front of his, “He told me to go F*** myself! He told me to go F*** myself! “

“The women I was involved with would change or wouldn’t do anything to keep me happy as man. So the relationships broke down,” said Peterson.

“What do you mean?” asked Bashir.

“Oh, romantically. They would get tied up with the kids and so forth and there was no excitement in the marriage,” said Peterson. “I’m basically attracted to young, beautiful women with good personalities… That’s what I’m attracted to.”

Martin Bashir asked good question and asked for clarification, which got Drew talking about his afflictions, in contrast to most other interviewers that just do the talking and don’t listen to Drews answers.

  223. Hmm – Interesting comments at the botom of the article on http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/Im-a-Good-Guy-.html?corder=&pg=1#comments:

I’m proud of Ernie Raines. I admit I laughed when I was watching the news but I respect him for doing what it took to get his daughter and grandkids out of that house.
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I bet Ernie Raines feels a lot better to-day and a good thing the “love affair” was short lived.

Drew will have to find a new babysitter and housemaid.

Interviews will take place at his local bar between the hours of 1 – 3 am

  225. i’m proud of Ernie Raines too ! i saw him interviewed on Dr. Phil earlier and i felt so bad for him. He was so emotional, visably shaken.
And yet he pulled it off this morning.

    YEAH !!! … GO ERNIE !!!! 🙂

  226. I, too, have gotta give Ernie Raines full props!

He made noise from the time the ‘realtionship’ became public, but everyone wondered if he’d follow through. Any question on that score should be answered now.

    YEAH, DAD!!

  227. I just figured out what happened with the Ernie-Christina rescue and why Dr. Phil’s film crew was there to film it all.

Ernie went on the Dr. Phil show and Dr. Phil advised Ernie (after the show)
what steps he should take to get his daughter out of harms way.

Dr Phil did say on air for Ernie not to make threats against Drew Peterson, such as driving his Cadillac through his house, otherwise Drew would have cause to get a restraining order out against Ernie.

Ernie has obviously taken Dr. Phil and his teams advice as Christina was safely removed from Drews house !

GO ERNIE and GO DR. PHIL !

  228. justanotherhen: I think you are right.
Do you know when Phil show was taped?

DP, Rod, Brodsky and Selig all getting owned the same week?

    It is a good week.

Selig’s antics are again being taken to task by the vast majority, and Brodsky’s “White Noise” theory is failing miserably.

Martin Bashir did have a way to get the slob talking. We knew it was only a matter of time.
The light is getting real dim over Drew Peterson.

On Phil, Ernie said something like “call the Police? Why, so they can let another one go?”
Bolingbrook PD really has a tarnished image.

(Phil seemed very different in this show compared to the last, and kudos to NG and LB)

Brodsky comment on CBS at 6:
It’s a shame that Ernie Raines has turned his daughter into a Jerry Springeresque media figure. This all could have been handled quietly and privately.

With Armstrong again involved, and the way everything went down, I still think this whole engagement was set up to sell books.

  229. I was hoping that at the end of the Dr.Phil show they would have shown this morning’s activity.

Really don’t think she was a plant for anyone due top the kids.

I’m wondering if Peterson had someone else in line and that’s the reason he spoek the way he did in the Nightline interview.

Yes, congrats to Ernie for getting his daughter out of there. Hopefully, she can get her life back together.

Hoping the grand jury is wrapping things up and an arrest will be made soon.

Ok..Im one of the girls in the picture, Im going to say sorry cause we all were drinking ALOT–It was tasteless, purely classless, and NOBODY here likes Drew Peterson-Its kind of like when you are driving 65 and everyone is doing 95, you try to keep up, the only difference is…if we were SOBER, NONE Of us would be ANYWHERE NEAR HIM-EVERYONE KNOWS THINGS ARE EASY TO REGRET THE NEXT DAY AFTER A LONG NIGHT OF DRINKING! SORRY TO EVERYONE-NOBODY LOOKS UP TO HIM AS A CELEB! EVERYONE WAS JUST DOING WHAT EVERYONE ELSE WAS AND AGAIN, WAS NOT SOBER “

  231. JAH – according to our local Channel 2 news station, it was not Dr. Phil’s crew that was with him. It was The Early Show crew – the cbs morning news show. They’re going to air the taped fiasco Monday morning.

So, as far as I can tell, it’s not Dr. Phil’s people.

  232. Brodsky comment on CBS at 6:
It’s a shame that Ernie Raines has turned his daughter into a Jerry Springeresque media figure. This all could have been handled quietly and privately.
    **********
If Ms. Raines is now “Jerry Springeresque” for having had and ended this relationship, what the Heckyl & Jekyll does that make Drew?!?! Jerry Spinger ICON?

  233. Also, re-watched the Stardust video and when the brunette and blonde leave the club, the brunette tells the camera person that the blonde’s name is “Sandy Masselli”(?) and then plugs Stardust.

I wonder if that whole evening was PR for the club…but I didn’t notice that a comment addressing “CLEARING MY NAME” was from someone named “Sandy”.

    Gah, it’s all too much…

🙂 i agree with you JOH. At the end Dr. Phil said he was going to give Ernie Raines some specific advice. And he wasn’t going to state it on the show for reasons of safety, …or something like that. The fact that cameras from the Dr. Phil show were there this morning, i wondered today if there was a relationship to the Dr. Phil show.

If Christina saw her dad on that show, it’s hard to imagine that she wouldn’t have been moved by his emotion. He really looked like he was suffering. He obviously REALLY loves his daughter.

  235. On CBS news at 6:

Drew hates when the media is at his house.
Then he leaves to take his kid to school, and instead of just leaving in his car from the driveway, He had to walk out to the street, right in front of the camera, to mail a letter.

    Just to say “no comment”

Must have been an important letter.
He could have ignored them and mailed that letter anywhere.
You aint foolin’ us Drew. Media whore!

  236. Good point, Womenscorned!

BTW, more comments at the NBC story. Not sure what to make of them. Could just be crap.

  237. Could it be Christina, as she is saying her picture is up there and the only picture up there is Christinas !

  238. So how long did this “engagement” last ?

Maybe Christina figured out that looking after 6 children and entertaining an ugly 55 year old murder suspect isn’t such an attractive long term proposition after all !

    LOL !

Maybe. During the Nightline interview, when there is mention of girls sitting on his lap, they show pictures are from the Stardust night. Also if you click on Chrissy’s picture in the article you go to the whole gallery, which also has pictures of him with the girls at Stardust.

But yeah, could be Chrissy…or anyone…or no one! 🙂

  240. JAH:
She said “..whats your publicist going to say with the texts you sent me after being “SUPPOSEDLY” engaged…”

Maybe she clicked on the gallery, and that is what she means by “my picture”

….entertaining an ugly 55 year old murder suspect isn’t such an attractive……..

Everyone here that saw that Nightline show commented on those bags under the eyes, and how they never saw anything like that.
I am thinking it has to be some sort of serious medical condition, or reaction to some type of drug?

  241. LOL

I meant that was the cause of Drew’s bags. Now the excessive drinking could be due to GUILT.

Since Turtle Express seems to be back, I’m asking for a new thread, but since I won’t be back until tomorrow, I don’t care if we get it now.

“GUILT” bags under those eyes of DP’s ?
    —————————————–
Narcissists don’t feel guilt, nor shame or embarrassment.. Must be the booze & late nite partying!

  244. Of course it’s her father and the Press, it couldn’t possibly have anything to do with Drew being a double murder suspect.

That would be too easy !
    —————————————–
Narcissist’s are never to blame, they blame everyone else, they never admit to being wrong & they actually believe they are not the cause of any problems.

How many more women is he going to move into that house to keep emotionally damaging those kids???

He only thinks about “DREW” he could care less about those kids & what he’s doing to them.

Narcissist’s love to have control & the kids serve that purpose, he can still control them.

People in his life are disposable, that is why he said about the early romantic stage. Once that is over & the mate stops “adoring” him, it’s over for him.

    This is called “narcissistic supply”!

All narc’s need it, like we need oxygen. They will get it any way they can.

They need people around them to make them feel good about themselves, to adore them, to tell them how wonderful they are, but when that stops, that person is disposable & there are no feelings about that person.

Even NEGATIVE attention is a source of Narc. Supply, that is why he says he hates the media, but in reality he loves the attention!

  245. luvpups, well said.
Drewpy is a textbook narcissist in the extreme. In his case, i believe that when the “adoration” stops he reacts with pathological rage.
i truly believe he is a psychopath, incapable of empathy, or remorse. He externalizes blame everytime he opens his mouth. NOTHING is ever due to his own actions.

Today was a classic example the way he blamed the “media” and even Martin Bashir, for Christina leaving. Rather than Selig for setting up the interview, Brodsky for approving it, and himself for agreeing to it. And then who’s decision was it to make those disgusting comments ?

i found it chilling when Christina moved it and he was quoted as saying,

“It’s like, whenever you get two new families meshed together it’s like a box of baseball cards and you just rattle everybody into place ’til it fits.”

i’ve thought that for a long time, that he sees people in his life like cardbourd cutouts in his own delusional world. Like expendable props to control his own reflection. Without entitlement to feelings, or freedom of choice.

  246. lola, you are correct, he is a pathological narcissist, and so is Blago.

People are only in his life to serve him, they have no other use to him. Once they realize what he is & are not infatuated with him anymore, they are disposable.

They are not people to him, they are like cardboard cutouts!

  247. Happy weekend everybody!

Blimey. I turn my back for a minute……!
Re Drews awful appearance, he’s put on weight for sure, alcohol and viagra abuse will make your face puffy. But fear and knowing they will come for you only gets worse as time goes by and will definitely take a toll on your looks.

He’s looking like a dead man. Tick Tock.

  248. There may be more Bashir-bashing once JB remembers the Michael Jackson interview in ’03 when MJ “replied” by filming his own 2nd interview….citing manipulative editing. Bashir had gained his confidence by telling him he could see he was a good father, etc, and left that bit out.

  249. I just saw that the FBI are investigating the Catholic Church in L.A.with regard to their protecting and enabling their paedophile priests. Hurrah. About freakin’ time.

  250. Good afternoon, Bucket.

I thought this would be the laugh for the day. A Joe Josey excerpt:

But Brodsky, who was among the first to confirm Peterson’s engagement to Raines in December, suddenly claimed to have little knowledge of his client’s affairs of the heart.

“I don’t know,” Brodsky said. “I don’t get involved in his personal life.”

But has he ever looked more the fool ?

There is no way this liar can say that it was really HIS idea. And he was rejecting her.

  252. (This morning)

    Drew’s latest love bails out
    By Joe Hosey – January 31, 2009
“In ending it with Peterson, at least for now, Raines chose to make a rather public break – including wearing a microphone and having a camera crew from the “Dr. Phil” TV show accompany her to his Bolingbrook house. “She was there, and she and her father were both wired for sound,” said Lt. Ken Teppel, spokesman for the Bolingbrook Police Department, said of the scene at the house on Friday morning. “Drew knew they were coming but was not expecting camera crews,” Teppel said, adding that Christina Raines’ things were bagged, boxed and waiting to be taken away when police arrived.

Peterson asked police to have the camera crew withdraw and for Ernie Raines to stay off his property. The cops ended up doing the heavy lifting for Ernie, carting his daughter’s property from Peterson’s garage to two waiting cars. Ernie Raines could not be reached for comment.”
    http://www.southtownstar.com/news/1406842,013109drewlatest.article

WIRED FOR SOUND ! …. ha ha ha ha !
…would love to hear that tape !

There still seems to be varying reports as to who the camera crew were. Maybe Dr. Phil enlisted CBS so it would be widely broadcast ?
    Maximum exposure ?

Publicists Who Capitalize on Calamity :: They Reflect Badly Upon PR … They Are Not PR | – January 25, 2009 by Robert

Where is the code of ethics that these “practitioners” are bound by as PR professionals? My guess is that they are not “active members” of their local PRSA chapter. http://www.auburnmedia.com/wordpress/2009/01/25/publicists-who-capitalize-on-calamity-they-reflect-badly-upon-pr-they-are-not-pr/

Great comment added by Virtue IMC…

    “Robert,

Back in September I posted a small tidbit on marketing communications ethics – http://virtueimc.wordpress.com/2008/08/28/a-thought-on-marketing-virtuously – that discuss the ethics of being a PR professional. A perspective that seems to be lost on these “flacks” – and I do not use that term with affection – is that in any “profession” there is a code of conduct. Lawyers, doctors, etc. all have a code by which they conduct themselves. As PR PROFESSIONALS, we have a code of conduct by which we are to conduct our business:

“Each member of PRSA is bound by the following Code of Ethics:

    I pledge:

To conduct myself professionally, with truth, accuracy, fairness, and responsibility to the public; To improve my individual competence and advance the knowledge and proficiency of the profession through continuing research and education; And to adhere to the articles of the Member Code of Ethics 2000 for the practice of public relations as adopted by the governing Assembly of the Public Relations Society of America.

I understand and accept that there is a consequence for misconduct, up to and including membership revocation.

And, I understand that those who have been or are sanctioned by a government agency or convicted in a court of law of an action that is in violation of this Code may be barred from membership or expelled from the Society.” http://www.prsa.org/aboutUs/ethics/preamble_en.html

It is this code of ethics that allows us to call ourselves PROFESSIONALS. Without this, we are nothing but a bunch of wannabes that pimp out our services to the highest bidder.

Isn’t the relationship with our publics the basis of OUR credibility? And if these “flacks” are selling those people a line, doesn’t that denigrate the profession as a whole? It is these “practitioners” that create a mistrust of those of us with legitimate practices – clients think that we all work the way that “celebrity” publicists do; media outlets become wary of our pitches; and the public looks at us like the silver-tongued serpent selling miracle water. …” cont.

    Bratsky lol @ Bucket. Perrrrfect ! 😀

I can assure you that PropertyMaps.com is not a scam. It’s quite legit. I hestitate to even take time respond to such rediculous comments and to ignorant individuals who toss accusations like they’re footballs… I am the Exec. VP of Marketing for PropertyMaps.com , with a background as an investigative reporter and consumer reporter for Fox News in Tampa. And we were just profiled on WFLA (NBC) TV in Tampa. 266. ooh noway! Maybe that’s where Sells-ick lives his double life with his mistress and several lovechildren? That could explain his banging on about fatherhood. But so could being a bitter divorced dad. LOL

I think this rumor needs to be put to rest.

Who Is Todd Black of Press Corps Media?

Who is this man? He has no web presence, and his press release was written like a 6th grader. I’m watching Nancy Grace and even she is laughing at the sloppiness of the press release. He just blew his 15 minutes by presenting himself as an ass hat who can’t spell. LOL Why does Baez need a PR person?
    from: http://beaconhell.com/blog/?p=184

I know we have beat to death Selig’s lack of journalistic abilities, but this whole story has “Selig” written all over it. Too many similarities.

    From Selig:
Selig also has been involved in the Casey Anthony case, playing a behind-the-scenes consulting role to Anthony’s lead defense attorney Jose Baez.

Casey Anthony, 22, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her 2-year-old daughter Caylee. Last month, Caylee’s remains were found in the woods less than a mile from Caylee’s grandparents where Casey Anthony and Caylee were living.

Selig would not reveal what he has discussed with Baez, the advice he’s given or his first-hand impressions of Baez’s client, Casey Anthony.
    http://www.prnewschannel.com/absolutenm/templates/?a=1116&z=4

It says on “PropertyMaps” that Selig has a Daughter named Drew?

  276. I could be wrong here, but didn’t Selig take on Casy as a client after that awful press release. And, didn’t he then write his big “Yay me” press release about how you need to go with the pros and avoid the hacks?

I’m being lazy and not researching this at the moment…

  277. LOL…..

It was the vocal emphasis …as though sadistic fun was a reward of the whole job…that bit was the best.

Likewise, when he was talking about Stacy being 17, and his reaction was the kind of *yes, please!* score! 17? are you kidding? laugh. (He’s told that story to buddies many times with that laugh completely unchecked) There’s no freaking way he had to look up the age of consent .

  278. *try again?*

    RE: “Todd Black”
Says it was a phone interview for TV.

This is the one where he clearly says
“case involving not just the loss of the life of this little girl, but the loss of whatever is going to happen with Casey Anthony.”
    youtubelink

It is not taken out of context.
    No “snippets”
    It is what it is.
    Sleazy lawyers and PR abound!

  279. Sadistic fun rather fits with the tale he tells of spinning a hanging victim’s body to see how far the arms would swing out.

  280. Well, Todd Black can’t really be Glenn Sells-ick, being a famous anchorman and all. Way too high profile ha ha ha.

  281. I just heard a report on CLTV news, the local cable news program, that Alderman Mell claims Blago considered resigning. The source of that claim was his daughter, Mrs. Blago. (For those out of state and out of the country, Alderman Mell’s daughter, Patricia, is married to the ex-Governor, and the Alderman and the ex-Governor have NO love for one another. Zero.)

I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your report down! Along comes Sellit and says, nooooooooooo, that’s not true, and Mrs. Blago never said that.

So, Alderman Mell is a liar, and Glenn Sellit is not.

    Who do YOU believe?

  282. bucket:
I don’t think Todd Black is Sells-ick’ I just think he had a hand in the writing of some of the “press releases.”

Yes that comment about the age of consent stood out like a sore thumb as there wouldn’t be a policeman in Illinois that wouldn’t know what the age of consent was. It is their job to know that !

Drew initially told that same story he had to get “permission from the Village” to date Stacy !

Why would it be an issue anywhere if Stacy was 17 at the time anyway (!!)

According to Cassandra Stacy was 16 when Drew began dating her.

Of course that makes a lot more sense with what Drew is saying, that all along he KNEW he was dating someone underage.

With the type of predator Drew is he preys on his friends daughters and probably observes them over time.

Ernie Raines said as much about Christina.

Wouldn’t susprise me at all if Drew observed Stacy over time or at least knew of her or who she was.

His stories just don’t fit in with actual events !

  284. Bucket, if you can stomach it watch the video again and when gets to the “Do you mind that I’m 17? Oh my God!” Pause the video and take a look at the still image of his gloating face. I swear, you can see the 666 appear on his forehead.

With Armstrong again involved, and the way everything went down, I still think this whole engagement was set up to sell books.

    ———————–
    I Smell A Rat!
Something is just wrong with all of the recent news about Drew Peterson. The news on his case concerning his new so-called girlfriend is a set up for us (Joe Q. Public) to buy books.

According to the PRESS RELEASE by Armstrong: Mandatory Credit must go to: Derek Armstrong, author Drew Peterson Exposed and show book cover of Drew Peterson Exposed, in order to use the releases he sends.

No matter how much Drew P. denies it I can’t help but wonder if he isn’t making money or profiting in some way from the possible sales of this book.

Peterson reportedly stated “This is what the media always does to me. As soon as the story got out on Chrissy, I knew it would be a problem for us.”

Come on folks… Glenn Selig is Peterson’s PR guy… has been for months. Armstrong wrote his story. Caylee’s story has taken the spotlight. (Loss book sales).

Now supposedly Peterson and his new girlfriend got in a huge fight and her daddy came and got her with the police. And her daddy is suppose to be on Dr. Phil today. Oh… and Drew P. was on Larry King last night. BS… I think it’s all staged.

Drew P. complains about the media, yet he hires them to put it out there… You decide.

I’m not going to post about anymore of Peterson’s antics because I’m not going to have these clowns profit off of me doing that.

The only news I will post will be about Kathleen Savio’s murder or Stacy Peterson. If you want to hear about his stupid media blitz campaign… Google it!

The Peterson Circus needs to get the hell out of town!

Cloey (This is my own personal opinion!)

    jurorthirteen updates

At least 1 person agrees with me. 🙂

  287. As far as the engagement being a set up by Drew/Selig/Armstrong I can totally buy into that, but I somehow don’t think Ernie and Christina were in on it, unless Ernie is an award winning actor and I somehow don’t see that in him.

If anything Ernie and Christina were being set up as well, especially since Drew and Ernie had some sort of friendship and Ernie had asked Drew to not go near his daughter when he saw Drew was showing an interest in her, which is of course a sign to Drew to do just that and lure Christina away.

I still say Ernie was advised by Dr. Phil what steps to take to get Christina out of that house, hence the Dr. Phil camera crews being present when the time came for Christina to move out.

I would find it extremely hard to believe Ernie would sacrifice his daughter and grandchildren for a stunt to help sell a book for Drew.

Would Drew sacrifice Ernie, Christina and her children to sell a book or give him publicity and you already know the answer !

  288. i totally agree with you, justanotherhen.
There was NO way Ernie Raines was acting on that show. His emotion so moving. He was so visably shaken up.

… gotta get my car out of a mound of snow before they tow it. Be back later.

oh flippin heck. I had no idea the link was enormous. sorry.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Never mind bucket, it doesn’t matter how big the link is as long as it shows GLENN SELIG EXPOSED

    LMAO !!

  291. I wonder just how much longer Dudhead is going to be able to get away with humiliating and demoralizing his children?

Tom and Kris will never have friends that are allowed to get within 10 feet of that house. No level-headed, respectable parent would ever, nor should ever, allow their teen to be in his presence, and especially a girl. I don’t mean that to be funny either, but he’d prey on anyone he could for his own sick entertainment.

    Heaven help those kids!

  292. Re Ernie initially being on the Dr. Phil Show.

I don’t think that was part of any plot either, more than likely Ernie did that out of desperation as he could get no help anywhere.

BB Police Department was unable to act as Christina moved into Drews house on her own accord.

She wasn’t abducted or held against her will, so there was nothing anyone could do until she came to her senses herself and that is probably where Dr. Phil came in with his advice to Ernie not to alienate Christina or threaten Drew as that would only make her resolve stronger wanting to be with him.

I also can’t see how Dr.Phil would want to be in a plot with Drew to set up a young mother and her children (!)

The plot is entirely Drew/Selig/Armstrong and I forgot to mention Brodsky, he deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as the other three.

  293. I defintely agree with you JAH and Rescue. Ernie and Christina are victims, not conspirators, and as for the engag-ment, I don’t think that was orchestrated by anyone but DP. His part of the commercial agreement is to stoke the publicity, which is what he does.

I don’t find it hard to believe, though, that the scheme team may have spent a week or two in a bar brainstorming stunt ideas

  294. Oh yeah and since I’m at the keyboard:

Re the Bashir interview – did anyone notice Drews comment as they drove up to the house where Kathleen died.

“Life goes on” he says very casually.

The mother of his children was murdered supposedly by a person unknown and Drew says “life goes on”

Even if Kathleen had slipped in the bath and as a result left two young children motherless, Drew can’t even fathom what that means to his children.

“life goes on” he says and shrugs his shoulders !

  295. BTW – Has Drew found a new fiance yet ?

It’s been more than 24 hours since Christina left.

What’s taking him so long ?

Where are all these women that stand in line wanting to be with him ?

  296. “Yeah, it was kinda emotional. What can you do. Life goes on.”

I wish we could see all the raw Bashir stuff, like LE have. 😉

  297. LE would be very interested where Drew drove Bashir, what roads he took and where he drove past, especially considering Drew drove Bashir to all different places that meant something to him.

Drew would have enjoyed great “sadistic pleasure” out of driving past where he put Stacy with Bashir in the back of the car being none the wiser !

BTW – Has Drew found a new fiance yet ?

    * * * * * * *
I’m sure he’s always got someone or other in mind, but we’re all agreed that at least the number of potential hostages has been reduced, it would be a real shame to give him enough time to turn that around again.

I mean, just because you’re a narcissist doesn’t mean you have to be sadistic, too, does it?
    ——————————————-
No, but there are sadistic narcissists, in fact there are all kinds of narcissists!

A sadistic narcissist enjoys the pain they inflict on their victims & it’s usually people closest to them.

A pathological narcissist has all the signs of a narc. but they have gone over the line where it is now a serious illness.

Narcissists care about no one but themselves & have no shame, no regret or empathy for any pain they have caused someone.

There is a fine line between being a pathological narcissist & a sociopath too. Just to much info to post here.

    The timing is strange.
Drew takes the family to Florida, late December 07.
When he gets home the letter is waiting in his mailbox.

    Aired January 9, 2008
GRACE: You know, I was taking a look at this typed letter, and it was sent from Cincinnati. Now, Rosie, let`s see the map. Didn`t your client, Mr. Peterson, just go on a trip to the magic kingdom down in Florida very close to Cincinnati?
BRODSKY: Well, he didn`t take that route. And he was in Florida already at the time so when this letter was postmarked.

January 14, 2008, Selig is announced as the new publicist.

“Drew Peterson Hires a Publicist, May Sell His Story – January 14, 2008
BOLINGBROOK, Ill. — A former police officer named a suspect in his wife’s disappearance said he’s hired a publicist and isn’t talking about his days on the force because he could soon be getting paid to tell his story. Drew Peterson has frequently talked to the media since his wife, Stacy, disappeared in October 2007.
But he told the Chicago Sun-Times that his many years as an officer and sergeant in the Chicago suburb of Bolingbrook are now off limits for questioning.
He can’t give away such information for free when he has people willing to pay for his story, he said. Peterson would be happy to talk about his police career with approval from a Florida publicist he’s hired, he said. But the publicist told the Sun-Times that Peterson can’t talk about those days because there’s a deal in the works for someone else to tell the story.” http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,322561,00.html

  305. Whatever it was, the “serious lust” (Drews words not mine) didn’t last very long.

Christina moved in around the 14th January and moved out around the 29th.

    LOL !

  306. Peterson had said on the show that he treated Raines “better than she’s ever been treated.”
(Sound familiar? Said the same about Stacy too.)Armstrong told RadarOnline.com that
Drew said: “It’s probably for the best” but complained, “We just spent thousands of dollars on new furniture.” ………..unreal. Those poor children having to watch women come and go…not too mention all the disruption in their lives. I just wish they would arrest him soon so the kids can have some kind of normalcy in their lives.

  307. Hi ya lavanda. Speaking of spending money, they had a close-up of the “token” ring he bought for her, her pre-engagement ring, I guess, and it was $13,000. Raines’ father held in up for a picture. It’s stone is close to 3 carats.

But the slob made sure that it was noted, when he discovered Kathleen’s insurance policies were changed to favor solely the boys, that he would not be paying for their college tuition.

Thousands of dollars in furniture, thousands of dollars buying a ring for arm candy, oh, and some earrings, would be very useful in a semester or two of college tuition, heh?

  308. Rescue – I didn’t see the ring. Was that when Ernie Raines was on Dr. Phil? I just kind of skimmed through that appearance.

  309. Facs – sorry – just saw your post. It was held up to the camera for a picture in the Sun Times. I’ll see if I can still retrieve it.

  310. Thanks Rescue. Weird about the ring. In other reports it was a ‘token’ ring and she gave it back to Drew when she left. But that’s not what this one says…and a 15k ring ? I wouldn’t call that a token.

“She still has the roughly two-carat diamond engagement ring Peterson gave her, though Ernie Raines said the family may turn it over to police investigating the fates of Peterson’s two previous wives.”

  311. Wouldn’t it be interesting if that turned out to be the ring that he had bought for Stacy shortly before she ‘disappeared’?

  312. Well, the slob doesn’t want to contribute to his sons’ college educations, but he’s good with purchasing thousands of dollars worth of furniture, rings for his “love child future bride,” and some diamond earrings for her.

Maybe Mr. Sellit would have been better off advising Dopehead to contribute thousands to a women’s shelter to help rehabilitate his image, rather than encouraging him to continuously promote his disgusting, worn-out sex and womanizing adventures.

But, then again, no one said Mr. Sellit is any more intelligent than the goof he represents. 😉

  313. Come to think of it, promoting a washed-up, corrupt Governor, and advising him to go from show-to-show to get his side of the story out, was a disaster in the making. The viewing audience probably called their lawmakers and told them to hurry up and get the idiot out of office, not save him from the Senate’s impeachment. While Sellit was taking his has-been client around New York, our Illinois lawmakers were here, sending his client down the river.

Now, what’s wrong with that picture?

  314. Hiya

It would be good if it was Stay’s ring, but I don’t think it probably is…he has a mate who’s a jeweller, hasn’t he? I’m sure with all his connections he could work out an exchange…

  315. Maybe he could get that ring back, and deposit the funds into a new account for his new little grand baby.

Naw, that would be stupid. Never mind.

  316. This Interview was from January 15th:

“MILLER: You’ve given her a ring though, an engagement ring, right?

PETERSON: No, I haven’t. Not as of yet. I have a friend that’s a jeweler and we’ll cross that bridge when the time comes. ”

So, either the jeweler freiend was consulted and a ring produced and delivered during the last two weeks, or else he bought her one ‘off-the-rack’ or he already had a ring that he gave her.

I wonder which was the case?

  317. I know it wouldn’t mean anything to the case if it turned out to be a ring that Stacy or Kathleen has owned, but wouldn’t it be tacky!

  318. Didn’t Kathleen report having jewelry stolen at one point? Was it earrings?

Yes, I read that Drew went to Jared’s and bought the earrings for Chrissy, but still I think it would be interesting to get a good look at the token ring.

Realsearcher, wish I understoof more of you post. Get some sleep, tend to your bleeding feet and come back to explain.

Did I get this much right? You are taking credit for getting Chrissy to move out in your post below?

  319. Facs – If Stacy’s departure from her home was without a stitch of her jewelry, I’d stay that is a remarkable thing.

If she headed for the better life as he says she did, expensive pieces of jewelry she owned would’ve been nothing to slip in the bag with that bikini, heh? Odds are, she didn’t take her expensive jewelry, because she departed this earth and didn’t have the luxury of deciding what to take and not to take.

Hell, I think it would be interesting to get a look at the receipt for those earrings, while we’re at it….

  321. Personally, I am beginning to think that law enforcement is playing mind games with Putzhead.

They’ve left him hanging in limbo as to their next move, he’s got not one logical brain cell functioning in that thing that sits on his shoulders, and every move he’s been making lately, namely, unsavory publicity, preying on vulnerable young woman, yelling f*u out of his house to his gf’s father (while his young son and daughter were home), aren’t exactly intelligent ones.

He has no clue what’s on those overhears of him (or, maybe he does), he’s got no clue what witnesses have divulged about him, and he’s got no clue when they’re coming for him. He’s wigging out, he looks like he was caught in a nuclear reactor leak, judging by the redness in his face, and he’s the most despised crime suspect in America.

If law enforcement isn’t doing this to him on purpose, I’d be quite surprised. If they are, it’s working and he’s about to blow. Time to get the baskets ready.

  322. Don’t you just LOVE that picture of Ernie holding the ‘engagement” ring right in front of the lens ?

I can just about see smoke coming out of Drews ears !

    Speaking of sadistic pleasure (!)

  323. I saw the picture of the ring (thanks rescue!), and it does look humongous. Does it look yellow to you? If it is, could be citrine, not yellow diamond. (a bit vulgar for me lol looks like it came from Liberace’s estate sale) Was that supposed to be the real or token ring? How does anyone know the diamonds are real? Cubic zirconium looks great. Somehow I can’t buy him spending so much, and I think he’d think she would never tell the difference.

  324. facsmiley // February 1, 2009 at 12:55 pm

I know it wouldn’t mean anything to the case if it turned out to be a ring that Stacy or Kathleen has owned, but wouldn’t it be tacky!
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Actually it would mean a lot if any of that jewellery was either Stacy’s or Kathleens.

In the inventory of Kathleens Estate there was hardly any jewellery and everyone knows Drew is a “high-end-jewellery-kind-a- guy”.

That is a major boasting point about any woman he’s ever dated or married, he always needs to emphasize the “high end jewellery” they’ve received, so where did all of Kathleens “high-end jewellery” end up then ??

Stacy also received “high end” jewellery from Drew and it remains to be seen if that was new jewellery, remodelled jewellery or Kathleens jewellery passed on as is.

Next there is the engagement ring Christina received.

Is that a new ring or Kathleen/Stacy’s jewellery remodelled or just passed on ??

The answer to that is very significant in the investigation of Kathleens murder as well as the disappearance of Stacy !

  325. Just another point that comes to mind:

Drew’s bedroom furniture is from the house he shared with Kathleen (!)

Stacy slept in that same bed, so did Christina (!), so when it comes to jewellery do you think Drew buys new jewellery ??

  326. Like I say, I think it would be interesting but I don’t think it could be useful in prvoing the murder of either woman.

It might prove he is an unfeeling cad and a thief…

  327. bucketoftea // February 1, 2009 at 4:03 pm

Maybe unless Stacy’s ring turns up somewhere or another?

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Yeah, like it turned up on Christinas finger for example (!)

  328. As far as we know Stacy didn’t take any of her jewelry. Drew could have handed it out with the trick-or-treat candy for all we know.

  329. Oke let’s just be absolutely fair on Drew and accept he is the kind and generous guy he says he is, which means:

he bought a big ring for Stacy in October 2007

he bought another big ring for Christina barely a year later

Diamond earrings for Christina around the New Year.

    Total value of all these trinkets $ 25.000 – $ 30.000 ?

Drew also says he just bought a lot of new furniture to accommodate Christina and her children.

I can’t remember if he put a value on it so I am not counting it in.

He also said Stacy took $ 25.000 cash out of his safe.

Sharon says Stacy transferred $ 25.000 to pay an equity loan.

Between these two women that is a total of approx $ 80.000 in the time span of one year.

Joel Brodsky has stated Drew is in financial hardship and may have to sell his house as Drew is only living on his Police Pension these days (!!)

  330. Good points JAH. I wonder if Drew was thinking of what is written below when shopping for earrings, etc for his now ex-girlfriend?

Our legal system is built upon the fundamental truth that you are innocent until proven guilty. The media has decided to sensationalize this story and the collateral damage is never-ending.

Drew and his children should not have to lose everything accumulated in thirty years of public service. Drew and his children risk losing their life savings, house, automobiles and may end up impoverished, all by simply defending himself against allegations.”

  331. What a scumbag…I’m telling you…they need to lock him up. I cannot believe he would buy a three carot ring and forego his children’s college fund. The man is a sicko. By the way, this was just posted; We’ll get to hear Christine’s side in the morning.

Why did Drew Peterson’s fiancee break up with him last week? ABC News reported that she didn’t like what she saw in his interview with “Nightline.”

Christina Raines will share her side of the story on “The Early Show” on Monday. The CBS program airs from 7 to 9 a.m. on WKMG-Channel 6.

Raines’ father, Ernest, will be with her. “The Early Show” said it would show footage of Ernest Raines confronting Peterson.

  332. Facs, from the website of “Wahhh poor Drew”….this was stated “The media has decided to sensationalize this story and the collateral damage is never-ending. “………… The real collateral damage is what he is doing to those children..over and again. If I hear the media call him “mr mom” one more time, or his stupid PR person…I’m gonna outright puke!

  333. Don’t fret, pretty soon Drew will be out and about again with his regular milk and cookies routine to snag another naive and gullible young woman

A leopard never changes its spots !

  334. Lavanda, this is actually pretty huge as far being a scoop for CBS. Up until now Chrissy hasn’t spoken to the media at all; not even to confirm or deny that she was involved with him.

  335. JAH, I get the feeling that Drew never changed his spots, even during his engagement to Christina.

The need for female attention is pathological for him. I’m kind of surprised that this hasn’t caused him more trouble in the past than we know about. I mean, has his interest always leant towards teenagers? And if so, has he always been so careful to keep things “kosher”?

Realsearcher, wish I understoof more of you post. Get some sleep, tend to your bleeding feet and come back to explain.

Did I get this much right? You are taking credit for getting Chrissy to move out in your post below?

yup yup i did talk her to leaf Dp.

bledin was beter but do it agin. nic of ya to car noway. i wish mor wold cum out and search wit me. getin rest four tomorow more searchin four me to be don.

  337. I just watched the local CBS news and they confirmed that Chrissy will be on the Early Show tomorrow to talk about her breakup with Drew.

  338. Oh, I’m sure she’ll have plenty to say, Dopey will have another young female to slander and slime.

He won’t be doing it for long, though. I’m sure they’ll be coming for him real soon.

  339. Re: This morning’s interview of Christina Raines and her Dad, Ernie.

What is up wih that girl? She looked like she was on drugs! Barely talking & not responding to some comments/questions.

This whole engagement thing was what I thought it was all along – a sham.
    WTF – real winner there.

  340. While I’m sure that “Camp Marshmallow” will come out with a statement calling Chrissy and Ernie liars, one has to wonder who is actually causing the psychological damage to those children.

It’s a close race between Drew and Joel, but I’d have to go with Drew Peterson as the weiner in this one.

  341. Since I’ve killed the thread, can we have a new one please … I’ve gone beyond Turtle Express now!

At this rate, Drew’s trial will be over while I wait for this to post!

    😉
