Announcement – Your Thread – February 5

Morning all!

Along with the changing of the guard, Rescueapet and myself are going to be transitioning into editorial positions on the blog. In order to keep up the flow of information and discussion, we’ll be creating new posts to be commented upon, adding news and information and inviting guests to post from time to time.

I look forward to our continued discussions, and many new threads!

There’s also a new email address for any concerns, questions, etc.  Make sure to not use any of the old suburbanlife addresses.  New email: petersonstory@gmail.com

  1. We’re also looking for help coming up with a new name for the blog – something that takes into account the areas that we tend to explore and discuss. We’d like to not disrepect the families of the victims or make it all about Drew, but it’s proving to be a challenge.

Dangerous Ties – The Peterson Cases?
The Missing and the Dead -When will there be closure for Stacy and Kathleen
Lethal Attractions – The loves of Drew Peterson and the Paraasitic Creeps who are hanging out with him now…
Blue Narcissus – Yeah no one will ever get this

    Obviously we need your help.

    Any ideas?

  2. Well, it’s been “quiet” for two days. I wonder if Dopehead is going to rear it’s ugly head and create another media story?

Since there was no GJ news last week, I hope we’ll be hearing something soon, including the Appellate Court’s ruling on the Savio issue.

  3. I saw that a certain private dick had a conversation with Joel regarding the engagement-non-engagement-stunt and posted about it. Unfortunately, he had absolutely nothing new to say so…

  4. Hi you two!

It’s really hard to think of an appropriate name. I just keep thinking of names for DP’s blog eg The Daily Me or The Bolingbrook Narcissist-Conspirator.

  5. Something with justice? Mention Kathleen Savio and Stacy Peterson? Does the topic of the blog remain the same or are you planning to discuss other cases too?

  6. I think just to keep focus we should stick to the peterson cases, at least as far as the title.

Though unofficially, of course, we veer off from time to time…

  7. Hey Noway – well, the main focus is Kathleen and Stacy, but the past discussions about the other high profile cases, like Anthony/Blago, as they may fit in with certain convos, is not a bad thing.

Since this is a daily discussion, it’s not really set up for organized threads or other topics.

  8. I like the idea of something with Justice..too bad it’s already been used.

Looking for Justice for Kathy and Stacy?

Will there be Justice for Kathy and Stacy?

It’s OK to have a question for a name isn’t it?

  9. Hmm… Trying to think of something… This is hard.

I am assuming that you would want to keep it dedicated towards Stacy and Kathleen.

    -The Justice Cafe
    -Keep Hope Alive
    -Justice for All
    -Voices for Stacy and Kathleen
    -Voices for the Missing

None are real good yet but I’ll keep thinking about it2. 🙂

  10. Has Truth been used?

Maybe something about the search for the truth in the Savio and Peterson Cases.

    😀
In a much shorter version of course!

I wish you luck with this and all parts of this blog … off to the park … it’s uncharacteristically warm here today!

  11. We do get a tagline under the title…so we could expand on anything there.

I like Justice Cafe and the idea of Voices…since we certainly have those…

Umm – yes I have lots of voices in my head – I just try not to answer their questions when I’m in public! 🙂

Not so nice here so I’ll keep thinking. Maybe we can combine some thoughts here and call it the Truth and Justice Cafe (dedicated to KS and SP) or something like that.

  14. Here are some funny thoughts that probably won’t make the cut:

-Silence is Golden (Someone should tell Drew)

-When the Blue Badge Turns Yellow (Only cowards kill their wives)

-Are We In Oz? (I think I saw the cowardly lion)

-When is the fat lady going to sing already?

    Voices 4 Truth & Justice 4 Kitty & Stacy ???

    ***

I like these with the tricky little 4 in there!

  16. Warning: Just got a lump in my throat from thinking about something…

The 4 could represents the 4 children that have lost their mothers. I can’t stop praying and thinking about them so it would be very nice to have a way to have them represented in the name.

  17. These are all good suggestions. Thank you so much! We’ll be bouncing these around and saying them out loud for a while and should settle on something by the end of the day.

    The site looks so naked!

  18. Would this make anyone who posts here truthseekers?

And if this becomes The Something Cafe, will there be free coffee and pastries (or tea and crumpets)?

  19. FYI – I kind of lifted the cafe theme from some ladies that created the Bitch-and-Brew Coffee Nook thread on the Topix Bolingbrook forum. Funny thing though is it was created for talking about anything BUT Drew! LOL!

  20. Oh, coffee, thanks for your response. I’m liking it too. It’s basically the same navigation techniques, but with a schnazzier look. A more welcoming kind of look – not just “white.”

  21. I’m also thinking the numbers assigned to the posts will come in handy for reference & that constant reviewing and searching we all do. 🙂

  22. Much easier to reference Post #44 than copying the post. I still remember copying the entire thread by accident!
    😳

  23. Congrats to you two on your new venture, as well!

    How about these for titles:

“Lost, loved and missing” dedicated to Kathleen Savio and Stacy Ann Peterson, and other lost and missing loved ones. (This way you can have chats regarding other cases.)

“Gone but not forgotten” Kathleen Savio and Stacy Peterson

“Seeking Justice” Honoring the loved ones of Kathleen Savio and Stacy Peterson

“No Wife Left Behind” The case of Kathleen and Stacy Peterson

“Dead-Eye” (means holding in ones memory)Kathleen Savio and Stacy Peterson, we will never forget you.

  24. Bucket – I’ve been watching, and not seen anything. In fact, this would be the second week that no known witnesses appeared, since Kathleen’s nephew and Dopehead’s divorce attorney.

  25. Facs,
Go on git yo’ big girlfriend!

    Ahem:

Otherwise known as, congratulations, you are an excellent blogger and love what you’ve done with the place 😉

Lots of stellar plug-ins on WP hinty McHint 😀

  26. What did ex-fiancee tell Peterson jury?
    Raines escorted by state police

    February 5, 2009

    By JOE HOSEY jhosey@scn1.com
For more than 15 months, state police have struggled to solve the puzzle of what happened to Stacy Peterson, and they just might crack the case if a young woman who recently lived in her house for a few weeks has any inside information.

Christina Raines, the 24-year-old purported fiancee and former live-in lover of the missing Stacy Peterson’s husband, Drew Peterson, was hauled before the grand jury Thursday morning. She left in the company of her boyfriend and a couple state cops.

Drew Peterson’s ex-fiancee Christina Raines appeared today on CBS’ “The Early Show.”
    (Rich Hein/Sun-Times/CBS)
The state police were charged with unraveling the mystery of Stacy Peterson’s October 2007 disappearance. They classified the missing woman’s case a “potential homicide” and named her much older, Bolingbrook police sergeant husband their sole suspect.

Stacy Peterson is Drew Peterson’s fourth wife, and her disappearance allowed state police to take another stab at the bizarre apparent bathtub drowning of his third wife, Kathleen Savio.

Peterson and Savio were in the midst of a contentious divorce when she turned up dead in her dry tub in March 2004. State police failed to find any sign of foul play and her death was ruled an accident.

But when Stacy Peterson vanished, the case was revisited and authorities determined Savio was the victim of a homicide. The state police have not identified Savio’s killer, or even any suspects in the case.

A grand jury was convened soon after Stacy Peterson disappeared. The grand jury has heard testimony from dozens of witnesses, the most recent of whom was Raines, the woman who moved with her two children into Peterson’s home in December but split while being filmed by a camera crew last week.

    ‘Ridiculous’

Asked whether he may have said anything incriminating to Raines during their time together, Peterson sarcastically replied, “Oh yeah, without a doubt.”

“No, that would be ridiculous,” Peterson said Thursday. “I mean, think about it.”

Peterson speculated his former fiancee’s police escort was to ensure she showed up for the grand jury appearance.

“I’m sure she didn’t even want to go,” he said.

In addition to Raines, the grand jury has been visited by another former girlfriend, an ex-wife, an former fiancee, his mother, stepfather, an attorney who represented him in a divorce, the attorney who represented Savio in her divorce, identical twin male nurses, various friends, an assortment of in-laws and past in-laws, a minister from a church he attended and others.

“I think they’re going after my kindergarten teacher next,” Peterson said.

Raines’ father, Ernie Raines, who has called Peterson the “devil,” did not know what his daughter discussed with the grand jury.

“I don’t know nothing till she calls me,” Ernie Raines said. “I didn’t live inside (Peterson’s) house. Whatever Chrissy’s got to say, she’s keeping it to herself.”

  27. Getting used to the new set up.

Very sophisticated by the way !

Just been watching a few videos with Ernie and Christina and I must say I really feel for Ernie.

    I wish I could give him a hug !!

He fully understands the implications of what Christina has been doing, but Christina is still quite oblivious to it all considering she moved into a home with 4 motherless children of which the father is under investigation for making these children motherless in the first place, yet Christina keeps on vouching what a wonderful father Drew Peterson is and how great he was to her kids (!!)

Can someone please shake this girl as she just doesn’t get it !!!

  28. Good morning Justice Cafe!
Love it and the pictures at the top.

Father of Raines says engagement with Peterson was real

    February 6, 2009

    By JOE HOSEY jhosey@scn1.com
The father of the young woman who recently lived with Drew Peterson — but claimed they were never engaged — contradicted his daughter and said she was in fact betrothed to the serial marrier.

“When she moved in, he did ask her to marry him,” said Ernie Raines, the father of 24-year-old Christina Raines, of his daughter’s relationship with Peterson.

On Monday morning, Ernie and Christina Raines appeared on “The Early Show” to detail her very public breakup with Peterson. During the interview, Christina Raines said her engagement to Peterson was nothing more than a publicity “stunt,” and pointed to Peterson’s attorney as the man responsible for it.

Raines said her engagement was a publicity stunt to keep Peterson in the news. Raines’ father now says the engagement was legitimate.

    John H. White / Sun-Times News Group
“Well, (Peterson) had told me that his lawyer had wanted him to be in the media and wanted to propose to someone at a restaurant,” said Christina Raines.
“It was more like a stunt,” she said Monday.

“It was not a stunt,” Ernie Raines said Tuesday. “It was the truth. Why (else) would I be so mad? And my daughter ain’t going to lie.”

Ernie Raines blamed the mix-up on his daughter’s confusion upon being thrust into the TV spotlight.

“My daughter was not ready for this,” he said. “She was under pressure, and they kept pushing and pushing and pushing.”

Raines said his daughter was referring to another Peterson ploy when she was speaking about the “stunt.”

A nonplussed Peterson pointed out that he has maintained all along that he and Raines were engaged.

“(It’s) like we said,” Peterson said.

He also says he received text messages from Raines reading, “I love you,” that he says prove the deep feelings they shared.

Well. That clears that up (?)

  29. Re the Grand Jury appearance by Miss Raines.

Does this mean that ISP found she had something useful or because GJ just want to question her themselves?
