Reality show for Peterson and fiancee?
Drew reportedly in talks
February 13, 2009

By JOE HOSEY jhosey@scn1.com
BOLINGBROOK — It’s too bad they already have a reality show called “Survivor,” because there might not be a better title for a series starring Drew Peterson and the woman hoping to become his fifth wife, considering what became of spouses three and four.

A source said the recently engaged Peterson; his attorney Joel Brodsky; and neighbor-cum-flunky Steve Carcerano all are wheeling and dealing their way into a reality show with the help of a Las Vegas-based representative.

Peterson repeatedly refused to comment on whether he had a reality show in the works, but did say Friday during a “Today” show appearance with fiancee Christina Raines that he has interest in pursuing such a venture.

Professional poker player?

The Las Vegas connection identified by the source denied having a deal done with Peterson but did admit to being in contact with him.

“I have talked to him,” said Matt Palmer, proprietor of 11Management.

“That’s my company,” Palmer said of 11Management. “I own it.”

Palmer described his role with 11Management by saying, “I represent talent.”

His page on the Web site LinkedIn said he founded 11Management in May 2007 and that the company is in the business of “professional poker representation.”

Peterson did not respond to questions about whether he has professional poker playing aspirations, but Palmer confirmed having a face-to-face with the former Bolingbrook cop.

“I have met with him,” Palmer said, refusing to disclose the details of his conversation with Peterson, who state police have named their sole suspect in the disappearance of fourth wife Stacy Peterson. State police also are investigating the unsolved homicide of Peterson’s third wife, Kathleen Savio.

None of this has stopped the 55-year-old Peterson from living with Raines, a 24-year-old unwed mother of two. Peterson also said he plans to marry Raines — just as soon as he divorces Stacy, the wife who vanished nearly 16 months ago. State police have labeled her disappearance a “potential homicide.”

Link to Vegas

Two sources said Peterson traveled to Las Vegas around the last week in January. One of the sources said Peterson was meeting with Palmer, who was introduced to him by Steve Carcerano. Carcerano lives down the street from the Pheasant Chase Court house that Peterson shared with Stacy but now lives in with Raines and her two children. Carcerano resides even closer to the Pheasant Chase Drive home Peterson lived in with Savio and their two sons.

Carcerano was present the March 2004 night Savio was found drowned in her own dry bathtub.

Carcerano failed to return numerous calls for comment. Both sources said Carcerano is to be cut in on whatever revenue is generated by a reality series.

  1. I have to hand it to Hosey for the fantastic headline.

So, is there really a Las Vegas connection wtih Carcerano?

Is this what Drew meant when he had changed his mind about the new business venture?

Hmmmm interesting that Las Vegas connection as a while ago there was a post by someone about Las Vegas property in Steve Carceranos name, whilst Steve Carcerano was supposed to be a bankrupt (?)

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Just wanted to bring this post across since it’s more relevant here.

  3. Steve C has been very very quiet with his own legal issues. Do we know his exact address. Was in the BB area the other day and couldn’t recall which side of the street he lived on. Thought it was 2 houses from Kathleen’s Savio house, but didn’t know which direction.

  4. Facs,

No problem. Wonder if Mike Robinson is upset he isn’t a part of this.

Also, thinking we should be watching CBS news early next week.

  5. WSF, Hosey’s story says that Steve lives closer to Drew’s than Kathleen’s house is. So, I guess two houses in the direction of Drew’s?

  6. facs,

Ok, read it but got confused. It’s been a long week. Also e-mail Tamara regaining the phone Christina got from Peterson. Had a crazy idea it may have been Stacy’s. But any thinking more and reading past blogs, it may be an old one that Peterson had.

  7. You’re so right Bucket, you just can’t make this stuff up!

    Unbelievable train-wreck.

Facs, again, the news digs are fabulous!

  8. I saw that hot ass mess on The Today Show and I was like WTF!! And if this SOB Peterson gets some crazy ass reality show out of this there is no justice at all.

This dumb young naive girl has issues and it’s a shame she is too in a world of her own to understand that!!!

  9. He’s not going to Nevada for a divorce, is he? Do people still do that? Oh, yeah….to befollowed by a drive-thru wedding?

Geraldo and I salute you, Facs, for the fab composite picture at the top. You’ve captured all the romance and glamour!!!

  10. Drew Peterson, ex-Bolingbrook cop suspected in wife Stacy Peterson’s disappearance, luckier in love than I am

    By Kevin Pang
    February 14, 2009

On this Valentine’s Day, I am forced to acknowledge an ugly fact.

I am, by most accounts, well-mannered and well-adjusted. I enjoy sunsets on the beach, moderately priced pinot noirs, and I know enough about “Gossip Girl” to sustain a 5-minute conversation. (“Dan and Serena are totally meant to be, am I right?”)

So why does Drew Peterson have better luck with women my age than I do?

Seeing reports that Peterson’s squeeze-du-jour, Christina Raines, has moved back into the former Bolingbrook sergeant’s home has left me demoralized. Curling up with her Mr. Wonderful, Raines told the “Today” show Friday that, “I don’t think he will ever hurt me or anyone else.”

I may hurt myself, however, filled with shame that I cannot compete in the dating pool with a 55-year-old man who lives under a cloud of suspicion involving the death of one wife and disappearance of another.

Clearly, the twentysomethings of Chicagoland see something in Peterson they don’t see in me. His luscious gray locks? The stubbly, rough-and-tumble cop look?…

  11. When Drew says Chrissy is a simple girl, did he mean:

▸ noun: a person lacking intelligence or common sense

▸ adjective: not elaborate in style; unornamented

    Or both?

  12. I knew a girl once who was dating someone she kept describing as “not a rocket scientist”. I think that was her way of saying the same thing.

  13. Keeping with the policy of not posting people’s personal info, I won’t post Steve C’s address here. What I will say is that if one wanted to know his address, one could go to a site like http://www.whitepages.com/ and enter his first and last name, town and state and have a pretty good chance of finding it. 🙂

  14. Simple girl, guess that went right over her pretty little head huh. He makes her laugh, the question is for how long. He’s accomplished phase one, isolation, what’s next?

  15. I wonder….If this reality show deal goes through( yeah I know gag me with a spoon )
does that mean the camera crew will be following Mr Peterson to and from his court
appearance ? You know, the one coming down the pike for the murder of Kathleen Savio
    and Stacy Peterson ??

I don’t know about the rest of the gang here
but I sure am WONDERING when that indictment
is going to be handed down, atleast in Kathleen’s murder.

This whole case is discouraging to me at this point. I cannot imagine how the witnesses in this case are feeling, especially the ones that just know this creep is guilty.

Then there are the victims, that have to watch this idiot all over TV parading around like he is the victim in all this when most people know the jerk is GUILTY !!

Most of all I wonder…When is this circus going to end and justice going to begin ??

    Claar’s challenger is being challenged

    February 6, 2009

    By LOUISE BRASS lbrass@scn1.com
The challenger to Bolingbrook Mayor Roger Claar in the April 7 election is being challenged herself.

Bonnie Kurowski-Alicea’s petition, which is required before her name can be placed on the ballot as a candidate for mayor, is being challenged by Bolingbrook resident Christopher Mathis.

A hearing on the legitimacy of 20 of the 209 signatures on the petition she submitted will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 6 at Town Center, 375 W. Briarcliff Road.

Alicea, who is a 25-year resident of Bolingbrook, said she expected some opposition when challenging Claar, who has held the position of mayor for 23 years.

However, she said she didn’t expect someone who she believes has lived here only one year to present objections.

“It has come to my attention that a one-year resident is disputing the majority of signatures on the nominating petitions to place my name on the ballot to run for mayor. Being able to run for an office is the right of any American and it is disappointing to see that in our own community we see how the political game affects the residents and their right to vote,” Alicea said in message to The Bolingbrook Sun.

“I promise to stand behind and fight for your signatures and your right to choose a candidate for this village,” Alicea said.

Officials at Town Center said they didn’t know much about Mathis, except that he lives on Waterside Drive.

“We have a responsibility to hear any objections,” Village Clerk Carol Penning said.

According to the press release issued by the village, the hearing process is governed by the election code of the state of Illinois.

The election board, headed by Trustee Leroy Brown and including Trustee Sandra Swinkunas and Penning, will conduct the hearing with respect to the objections raised about Alicea’s nominating petition.

Is she the only other candidate?

  18. The story continued…Her petition was disallowed not because any names were falsified, but 42 turned out not to be registered to vote.

She fights on as a write-in candidate.

  19. WTF! This is absolutely ridiculous. I wonder what is going on with the GJ. Are they ever going to arrest him? Are they protecting him once again? Everything surrounding this man is very disturbing to say the least. Has anyone heard about the GJ? I must admit that all of this makes my head spin. First one dead wife, then one goes missing. Who has this luck?! From everything that has come out he is a rouge cop who thinks he is so far above the law. I wonder how his relationship with Mayor Claar plays a part in all of his indiscresions? Anyway, I am just really pissed off!

  20. Mom, we heard that the grand jury did not meet this week because of the presidents’ birthday holiday.

But Presidents’ Day is monday, is it not?

  21. Bucket, your post about the petition and the signatures reminds me of the person who posted here once that Stacy was no longer a citizen of Bolingbrook because she hadn’t resided there in the last 30 days. 🙄

  22. There has to be some resolution in this case. This sob cannot get away with this. I really thought that justice would be served. I am not so sure. I am trying to keep the faith but damn!

  23. Yes, it’s become outrageous. I wonder, if Drew is eventually tried and convicted of homicide, can the victims’ families pursue some sort of restitution to claim any money the bastard made, profiting from his crime?

  24. And I totally wouldn’t put it past a Las vagas promoter to try to capitalize on this situation. I don’t doubt for a minute that He’s seriously considering a reality show involving Drew.

I notice Mr. Palmer recently took his MySpace profile to private (you can still see it cached). Was shame a factor in that decision, or just an attempt to escape the public opinion that he is due?

  25. Still your anxious heart, mom. Stuff is hitting the fan soon. The Savio Estate is a big deal. A very big deal indeed for James Carroll, too. They are not just questioning the validity of signatures, but motive.

Bald ‘n’ Brassy says he can’t wait to be able to depose all the witnesses ithe course of the wrongful death suit, but they’re not in a hurry. First things first. Let’s have a really good look at the files and engage ouselves a couple of forensic accountants…

This past Thursday was Lincoln’s b-day. Sorry for the confusion.

Yes, Monday is President’s Day and school’s and I think bank’s are closed.

  29. Going back to Today Show, thought it was funny when reporter asked Christina about having kids’. She said one more and Peterson said no we have 6 or 8 and one grandchild on the way.

I’m guessing they haven’t had this conversation before. Or the talk about “reversal” is out of the question…

Yes Christina is having fun and Drew makes her laugh.

That answer was the pivotal point why she is with him.

It sure is a lot of “fun” when your fiance is under investigation for two murders, the Bolingbrook Police is at your door every second day and no one in your family supports your decision.

Oh, except for your Mom, but she’s not really “out there” about it either.

That’s right, Drew may be able to cover up a murder and hide a body, but what he has committed to paper will be his undoing.

  33. I don’t mean to sound defeated, however this case seems to just drag on and on. I feel so bad for both women’s families and children. I cannot begin to imagine what Stacy’s children are thinking. Egads! He has spoon-fed those children so much nonsense about their moms. I hope that Kris came through and told the GJ about the argument they had the morning she disappeared. I am sure Tom Morphey has loads more to tell than just the blue barrell story, not that it’s not important enough in itself. I am here in Maryland and so wish I could there to search for Stacy. I was delighted to see there is a new website for the searches. Did anyone notice that neither of the two engagers look all that happy? Chrissy just looks confused all the time (IMO). I also believe that it is possible she and Drew were involved prior to Stacy’s “disappearance.”

  34. I am with you on that Mom. This case just seems to drag on forever and take so many twists and turns to it. It might as well be a soap opera. I understand that the Estate
situation is important, however I am more interested in an indictment on murder at this point. What in the Sam Hell could be taking so long ? What in the world is the hold up ? Does this mean the State does not have a case, if that is the case, that will be one tough cookie to swallow. I am just so disappointed with “Justice” Illinios style 😦

  35. Well hmmmm, Blago was being investigated for three years and he never even murdered anyone.

Corruption AND murder take a long time to investigate.

Be patient and have faith in James Glasgows Office.

He knows what he is doing !

  36. I’d like to know where Christina pulled the date of June/July from as far as a wedding date is concerned.

Was that answer based on anything as in when Drews divorce would be final or was that another “off with the Pixies” answer ?

  37. The June/July date is what made me wonder if she was pregnant. Say she’s four months along; she could want to be married before the birth.

Bear in mind, this is pure speculation on my part. No idea otherwise…

  38. Considering Christinas vagueness and immaturity, why didn’t the interviewer ask how she thinks she is going to look after 6 children and how much “fun” that is going to be ?

Didn’t Ernie already state “Drew started to use Christina like a doormat, wanting her to babysit his children all the time”

Isn’t that what you’re supposed to be doing when you care for 6 children ?

    Am I missing something ?

That’s why he’s been hiding and moving his money or claiming money to be a “nest-egg” for his children, so no one can get to it.

But no matter where he goes, I don’t think divorcing Stacy is going to be that easy.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

If it were as easy as this he would have been divorced by now, especially considering he did see a prominent divorce attorney a few months ago already.

Also Drew is in a hurry as he doesn’t know when they are going to come for him (!!) and with assets still in Stacy’s name that is not going to look good for him if he can’t dispose of them beforehand.

I’m sure he had it all planned prior to her disappearance, but the investigations put a big spanner in the works (!)

  43. Reading information googled about Steve Carcerano.

Is it true that he owns (owned) EZtransport in Darien(for transfer of patients and bodies to the airport for shipping worldwide)?

  44. I just wanted to say the most disturbing part of the interview was Drews very strange and out of control laughter after he said “the devil has won this round”.

He never once looked at the camera during this outburst, he was just focussing on Christina !

That laugh was extremely disturbing !

Peterson’s step-brother thinks Drew is guilty

John Morphey says his brother, Tom, believes Drew Peterson killed his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson.

Drew Peterson has long been considered a suspect in the disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy. And while he’s gone before the cameras many times, the man many consider to be the linchpin of the case against Peterson has never talked publicly.

    Morphey

After Stacy Peterson disappeared, Thomas Morphey also disappeared for months. But he was being hidden away, sources say, by police.

His brother, John Morphey, will only say he was in a safe place. But on the crucial issue of what happened on the evening of Oct. 28, 2007, he’s saying a lot more.

Sources say Tom Morphey helped Drew Peterson move a barrel containing Stacy Peterson’s body from an upstairs bedroom into the back of her husband’s Yukon Denali.

Tom Morphey has been ordered by investigators not to talk to the media. So, his brother, John, is talking for a man who many consider to be the main witness in case. The brother said his sibling’s conscience is bothering him.

“I think he would do anything to take back the events of that night,” John Morphey, of St. Charles, said.

What made him think Stacy was inside that barrel?

“He said he just knew,” John Morphey said.

He says his brother’s conscience was bothering him so much on the day after he helped Drew Peterson move the blue barrel that he ended up in a hospital after taking a handful of pills and attempting to kill himself.

“He realized what he had done that night by helping dispose of Stacy’s body and realized that Drew would probably do whatever it took to keep him quiet,” John Morphey said. “He thought he would kill him or his family.”

Peterson says that’s ridiculous and that Tom, who is his step-brother, has mental health issues.

“He’s attempted to take his own life a few times,” Peterson told CBS 2 recently. “And now all of a sudden he’s become a hero to his family when before he was nothing but a loser to his family.”

John Morphey says that’s a lie and his brother never tried to kill himself before that day. And he says Peterson never showed any real concern for Tom until after his suicide attempt and showed up at his step-brother’s hospital bed on the same day Stacy was reported missing to police.

“On the day his wife went missing, what motivated him to go to the hospital to visit my brother?” John Morphey said. “Everyone can draw their own conclusions.”

Does Tom Morphey think Drew Peterson murdered Stacy?

“He doesn’t think — he knows that (Drew) murdered Stacy,” John Morphey said.

Drew Peterson says there never was a blue barrel and that Stacy Peterson abandoned her kids for another man.

  46. “He’s attempted to take his own life a few times,” Peterson told CBS 2 recently. “And now all of a sudden he’s become a hero to his family when before he was nothing but a loser to his family.”
    * * * *

    Does he sound jealous?

  47. Sinister sells?

To somehow discredit Tom Morphey’s story even in a roundabout way?

That’s all they could come up with since they didn’t have a picture of John?

  48. I think the mug shots are the only pics I’ve seen except for the one cheeseball Brodsky tried to wave on tv. He’s much better looking than the disgraced suspect, isn’t he?

  49. There was one not too long ago of TM outside his house, I think. Posted in Joe Hosey article, I think.

😀 Bucket, who ISN’T much better looking than the disgraced suspect?

  50. I guess I’ve seen the picture used before, but they typically give it a crop so it doesn’t look so mug-shot-y.

Maybe John or some other member of the family could supply the press with a more neutral up-to-date picture of the man.

  51. I admit this is off-topic, but interesting in that Glenn Selig way.

    (PRNewsChannel) / Chicago, Ill. /
The following is a statement from Glenn Selig, publicist for former Gov. Rod Blagojevich, to today’s ‘Chicago Sun-Times’ article on the governor’s appointment of Roland Burris to the U.S. Senate:

“There’s absolutely nothing inappropriate that took place between Gov. Blagojevich and Sen. Burris in connection to the governor’s appointment of Mr. Burris to the U.S. Senate.

“The governor acted ethically and honestly and believes Sen. Burris did too.”

Ummmm, so now we are to believe that the gov was on the up and up because….his publicist says so?

    LMAO!

  52. Re the Morpheys –

Look at it this way – the closer people are to the truth, the more Drew tries to vilify them.

  53. Re the Morpheys again –

Imagine the terrible division Drew has caused in all these families as isn’t the Morphey father married to Drews mother ?

I suppose family get togethers are now out of the question !

  54. Oh yeah and just one more observation and then I’m out of here:

Since Christina says she knows Stacy and is convinced Drew never hurt anyone why doesn’t she think Stacy could come back at anytime and find her in her house with her kids, maybe even wearing her clothes and jewellery ?

Christina, since you don’t do much thinking for yourself, why is your fiance so sure Stacy isn’t going to come back ?

  55. on Geraldo tonight
    Sunday, February 15:
    • Does the search for missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings sound all too familiar? Reminiscent of the 2004 case in which three-year-old Riley Fox was abucted from her Wilmington, Ill. home? Geraldo investigates

    • Plus, who’s Craig going after this week? Look out Drew, it just may be you! Was Peterson’s engagement to Christina Raines really all just a publicity stunt? Or is there more than meets the eye?

  56. Good Evening All,

Something has bothered since Christina moved out and CBS Morning Show was out there and taped. To me, when Ernestto the house, the camera pans and shows a female(skinny face and darker hair) comes out a white car(see video link from CBS) http://cbs2chicago.com/video/?id=54604@wbbm.dayport.com, and the female that appears in the picture above(fuller face and bwnsh hair. Are these the same two female???

The Christina at appears in the picture above and on the Today Show looks to me as a different female that appears in the video that I attached.

Let me know what you think. Maybe it’s my eyesite.

  57. I watched Geraldo and he had Ernie Raines on.

Ernie said that Christina was now hoping to get married even before June and that he wouldn’t say for sure that he would not attend the wedding.

  58. The fact that Chrissy wants to marry even sooner than June has me even more convinced that she could already be pregnant.

  59. http://www.tampabay.com/features/media/article976273.ece

The call that changed Selig’s life came while he was on a Disney cruise with his wife, Charyn, and
oung children, daughter Drew and son Joshua, at the end of 2007. It was Peterson’s attorney with an intriguing proposal.

How would he like to represent the most controversial husband in America?

Peterson already had an awful public image, behaving oddly during interviews about his missing 23-year-old wife and attempting to participate in a dating contest overseen by a Chicago shock jock. Selig met with the retired officer in Orlando, weighing whether his potential client was misunderstood or someone looking to bamboozle the world.

“Do I know whether he did it or not? No, because I wasn’t there,” said Selig, who eventually brokered interviews with NBC’s Today show and the Associated Press emphasizing Peterson’s parenting skills. “Do I believe he did it? No. And because no one else knows, either, he needs to be presumed innocent. … It’s a noble cause to defend someone’s image in the court of public opinion.”

Tampa public relations professional Lisa Brock said publicists can hurt their own credibility by taking on too many clients who seem arrogant or fame-seeking. “There are people who only care about the spotlight and not the reason why it’s shining,” she added.

Brock said such high-profile cases can spark fees topping $2,500 per day, jump-starting a publicist’s Rolodex. But clients can be unpredictable: Peterson, 55, made headlines for planning to marry 24-year-old Christina Raines, who called off the engagement in January, saying it was a publicity stunt.

But Raines backtracked, appearing on NBC’s Today show Friday with Peterson; the report also said Peterson hoped to develop a book or reality TV show deal. “She announced their breakup on a morning show … so it became important that they set the record straight,” said Selig, who arranged the interview after the two reconciled.

Selig said an attorney for Blagojevich called after seeing him quoted in a newspaper story on handling the public image aspects of pop star R. Kelly’s child pornography trial.

Selig’s hire puzzled journalists, who wondered why an official facing impeachment in Illinois would enlist a Tampa-based guy representing a man who police say is a suspect in his wife’s disappearance. (Peterson has not been charged in that case or in the homicide of his third wife, and has denied wrongdoing.)

“It seemed like the last thing a person who was insisting on his innocence would do,” said Eric Zorn, a columnist for the Chicago Tribune. “(But) once you have Blagojevich determined to do this, well, (Selig) booked him on all these shows and not one of them was a disaster. So I think Blagojevich got what he wanted out of it.”

Selig declines to talk about his fees. Critics wonder how a retired Chicago officer or an impeached public official can afford a publicist who flies in and out of New York for media interviews at a moment’s notice.

Even if Selig is working for free, the boost given his company — which includes a press release writing service and a Web site for dads — may be invaluable.

“It’s gone better than I ever could have imagined,” he said. “I think people appreciate that I’m looking out for this concept, that people deserve a fair hearing, whatever you believe about them.”

    Good morning!

  60. Here’s a link to a precis of how ill-judged PR for a murder suspect doesn’t work.( Paul Ciolino is the biggest idiot I’ve seen on TV) Knox’ supporters have no proof of anything, just loud mouths, and they’ve embarassed the US in the eyes of Europe over it.

Meredith was murdered in Perugia 4 days after Stacy disappeared, been following it, too.

The fact that Chrissy wants to marry even sooner than June has me even more convinced that she could already be pregnant

    Facs,

If she is, it must be an immaculate conception if it happened in Phesant Chase residence.

  62. I believe WSF is referring to Drew having had a vasectomy.

So if Chrissy is pregnant, Drew either had his reversed or the baby has a father other than Drew.

  63. Bucket, all I know about Steve C. and EZT is that there were posts in Feb/March 2008 talking about him owning this. So far, I haven’t been able to find much else. But I’m reading obscure (to me) boards too.

The phone number listed in the board posts I’ve seen is still for EZT.

After March 2008, the discussion seems to have been dropped, so I don’t know if it was determined that he didn’t own this business (ever or when Stacy went missing).

  64. Thanks Noway 🙂 That’s well creepy. It rings a faint bell for me, too. Something about the way they’re wrapped, too?

I was sort of thinking that the kid was Mike’s and that Drew doesn’t even know yet. 🙂

  66. I tried to ask at Hang’s but I’ve been banned and don’t think it worked.

If any of you are members of Hang’s and don’t mind asking, please do.
