Yikes. The ring Ernie showed us looks exactly the kind of ring worn on the first finger by a glamourpuss like Kitty.

  2. Here’s my first question for Joe:

Why do you think the ISP is holding Chrissy’s engagement ring?

  3. Does he believe investigators have found witnesses we haven’t heard from yet eg Dennis Pratl(sp?) Mary Pontarelli, Eric Peterson, the locksmith, Bob Diehl, et al.?

  4. If Peterson is charged for the homicide of Kathleen, does anyone think there were be additional people charged due to the handling, or mishandling, whatever the case may be, of the initial death investigation?

If a current investigation was done regarding how Kathleen’s death was handled, will the results be made public as to how a current ruling of homicide was first ruled an accident?

  5. I hope Drew’s cheapness caught up with him, and the ring he gave to Chrissy belonged to Kathleen or was one of Stacy’s that she allegedly hocked.

Is Chrissy going to be the latest witness against Drew?

  6. You know what Noway, you may just be right.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she turned the tides on the POS and screwed him for money, both while she lived with him, and now, after, waiting to be contacted for an “exclusive” interview. Paid, of course.

That will keep Brodsky busy with his name calling. Cuz it will happen.

    Peterson’s fiancee moves out again
    Recommend Comments

    April 3, 2009

    By JOE HOSEY jhosey@scn1.com
BOLINGBROOK — Just a week ago, Drew Peterson and his much-younger fiancee were all lovey-dovey on the pages of People magazine. Then she walked out on him. Again.

Neighbors spotted 24-year-old Christina Raines packing up and leaving Peterson on Friday afternoon.

Before leaving, Raines shouted to Peterson, “I’ll be back for the rest of my stuff some time,” said Peterson’s neighbor, Sharon Bychowski, who watched the move.

Peterson lent a hand to his lady love as she moved out, Bychowski said, and the young woman’s sister was also there.

When the two women departed, “Her sister whipped around the court (in her car),” Bychowski said. “‘Agitated’ is the word.”

Raines, a single mother of two small children, took her kids to live with Peterson, 55, in January.

Not long after, Raines father, Ernie Raines, appeared on the “Dr. Phil” show to complain about his daughter’s relationship with Peterson, whose third wife was killed and fourth wife disappeared.

In the wake of her father’s TV appearance, Raines walked out on Peterson. A camera crew accompanied her father to record the break-up.

Then, in February, Raines and her children went back. But the romance apparently could not survive.

Peterson seemed to blame the press for this.

“Just the way you treated her in the media,” Peterson griped. “It was out of line.”

State police are investigating Peterson’s possible role in the disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy Peterson. They consider the case a “potential homicide” and have named Drew Peterson their sole suspect.

The state police also are looking into the March 2004 apparent bathtub drowning of Peterson’s third wife, Kathleen Savio.

At the time, state police found no sign of foul play and Savio’s death was ruled accidental. But after Stacy vanished, Savio’s death was reclassified as homicide, and the state police got another crack at figuring out who killed her.

Raines, who joked about Savio’s death on a radio show, has not seemed troubled by the fate of Peterson’s last two wives.

Paula Stark, who says she wore a wire at the behest of the state police to record Peterson in 2007 and 2008, was also around Peterson’s home Friday afternoon and said she watched Raines pack and leave.

Bychowski and Stark said they did not see Raines’ children when she moved out. Besides mixing their families — Peterson’s four youngest children still live with him — the couple also picked up a small dog.

Raines apparently did not want to take along the dog, Missy, when she left.

“The poor little dog was left behind,” Bychowski said.

  8. Right, the puppy. Just another casualty. I guess he’ll go to a rescue…if he’s lucky.

PETERSON: I have eight, collectively. We have six kids at home and we’re busy. Last night we were making dinner and I got them lined up like an assembly line, feeding them. It’s quite an effort.

RAINES: Plus, we have a puppy!

PETERSON: I bought her a puppy.

MULLER: What kind of puppy did you get?

PETERSON: What was it? A silky-tzu or something like that?

  9. Good!!!! People Magazine looks like a bunch of Bozos.

On Friday, as their pig story of the two love birds was hitting the stands, the creep was helping his bimbo put her belongings in her car. Blaming the media? The two of them were causing vomiting amongst People’s readers for all the fluff they were afforded, and he, laughingly, is blaming the media for the breakup because of how she was treated?

If they don’t lock-up Peterson soon in a prison cell, I hope they have a padded one that will suit him. He’s nuts!

  10. “Just the way you treated her in the media,” Peterson griped. It was out of line.”

    *************

Just what is he talking about? People was schmoozing over their fairy tale life.

I hope she’s a greedy big mouth, and she has lots and lots to say.

  11. Rescue – I think that comment was what he said the first time that Chrissy moved out.

This time it seems like he’s called straight to Mike P to give him his firsthand scoop to get it to the press before Sharon and the crew next door got the news to Hosey.

  12. Hmm – after re-reading the article I’m not too sure if it was his comment from this time or last time. So many break-ups, so many stupid comments blaming everyone else – it’s easy to get confused.

Anyone else felt compelled to say “Thanks, but no thanks”? (or perhaps you thought “Yes”) upon seeing this picture? LOL

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Remember when Christina first got “engaged”, there was all this talk she was walking around with a big expensive ring on her finger and Drew being the “high-end-jewellery” guy that he is wasn’t contradicting any of it, but he and Joel were giggling about the actual supposed value of the ring on a radio programme.

Next the “engagement” is off (1st time around that is) and Ernie is showing the ring on camera before it’s handed to ISP.

Next Drew is suddenly and very publicly downplaying the value of the ring by mentioning this ring is only costume jewellery retrieved from a drawer and this was only done because Christina was so insistant/desperate on getting engaged/married she already asked him five or six times (!!)

There’s also the denial the ring belonged to any of his previous wives (!)

Oke so Drew has a drawer of womens jewellery in his house that doesn’t belong to anyone (!!)

Despite Christinas supposed insistance and repeatedly asking Drew to get married (5 or 6 times)Christina was very coy about a wedding date, yet Drew on the other hand says he wants to get married “as soon as possible”

Once again that doesn’t make any sense !

    :D
I think it’s because Hosey said that Valerie B. had a better body and she was twice Chrissy’s age.

  15. Oh, don’t be confused. It’s everybody’s fault.

What’s a bimbo to do when that happens?

  16. Oke the question remains:

Has Christina “done” Mancow yet ?

Maybe that’s why Drew wanted to play a prank on Mancow with his “confession” joke (??)

  17. Don’t tell me the wedding plans are down the toilet again ??

Good thing the “engagement” ring was only costume jewellery !

    ——
Sure. He decided to replace Chrissy with her YOUNGER AND SLIMMER sister, Kim ;)

  19. I wonder if this “costume jewellery” has Kathleen’s DNA on it.

I also wonder what is Drew getting rid of in those plastic bags any time Chrissy is moving away?

    And sorry, Wonder ;)

  20. LMAO … I figured he’d contact Valerie Bertinelli and Chrissy found out about it. ;)

(Since Britney Spears wasn’t returning his calls.)

Did they invite Travolta for their wedding? ;)

  22. What do we get for a reason they split up this time or do we just reprint what Drew said last time ?

  23. Just last week:

Drew Peterson and Fiancée Featured in This Week’s PEOPLE Magazine
Peterson and Christina Raines pose for a PEOPLE photo spread and sit down for an exclusive interview.
    thepublicityagency.com – March 26, 2009

(PRNewsChannel) / Bolingbrook, Ill. / Drew Peterson and his fiancée Christina Raines are featured in this week’s PEOPLE magazine that hits newsstands Friday, the PR agency that represents Peterson announced today.

The couple was interviewed and posed for a photo session with the popular entertainment and general interest magazine.

“PEOPLE magazine featured Drew Peterson when Stacy disappeared more than a year ago,” says Glenn Selig, Peterson’s publicist and founder of The Publicity Agency. “The engagement renewed the magazine’s interest in Mr. Peterson. For Mr. Peterson, this was an opportunity for PEOPLE readers to see him in a new light.”

PEOPLE is a weekly magazine of celebrity and human interest stories. It has a circulation of about 4 million. The magazine runs a roughly 50/50 mix of celebrity and human interest stories.

Peterson is a suspect in the disappearance of his fourth wife, Stacy. He is a person of interest in the death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio. Peterson vehemently denies involvement in either case.

    **********

Wow, in one week, Peterson is in People, dis-engaged, his lawyer’s sports bar is tanking, and he punks Mancow, with unsavory results.

His planets must not be aligned, and Scottie needs to beam him up. Fast.

  24. I still say it wasn’t the correct etiquette to exclaim you want to “do” another man in front of a sociopath with extreme jealousy, fidelity and stalking issues (!!)

  25. It wasn’t correct to drag a teen out of the house to prowl around in dark clothes, removing ribbons from trees, after midnight, on a school night, either.

If Raines was stupid enough to piss him off with her poor etiquette, that’s her problem. Big girl.

It’s the poor kids I feel sorry for. I hope there will be a day when they’ll live a normal life, assuming he’s not in their lives.

  26. Oh, well….

MULLER: Drew‘s fifty-four. You’re twenty-four. It’s a thirty year age difference. Do you like older men? Have you always liked older men?

    RAINES: Yes.

MULLER: What about Pat Cassidy over there, if you were single?

    RAINES: Sure. Why not?

    MULLER: You have horrible taste.

PETERSON: Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

CASSIDY: Chrissy, do you think that Mancow’s sexy?

    RAINES: Yeah, I’d do him.

    CASSIDY: Sorry, Drew.

PETERSON: It is what it is.

  27. “It is what it is?”

Funny, on LKL, he wasn’t so kind to Stacy about this:

“Stacy loves male attention and anytime we would be anywhere she would have to be the center of attention for the males on scene, older, younger, anyone,” he said.

Peterson’s attorney Joel Brodsky says perhaps Stacy Peterson just did not want to be tied down to an older man and four children anymore.

    *******
But she wasn’t lucky enough to have him help her pack and load up her car. She’s presumed dead.

    Lucky Christina. She’s not.

  28. I wonder if Drew has already done a background check on Mancow, like he did with Mike (!!).

  29. A background check he does on anyone doesn’t mean jack shit. It’s his background checks we care about. Yes, facs, when is that arrest coming?

  30. Some questions for the interview:

    1) Who do the experts recommend women whose hubby is a local cop go to when they want to file a complaint? Should they call in the local police and then follow up with the State Police to make sure records are actually kept?

    2) Do domestic calls on police officers or from police officers get tracked in an internal system for review by internal affairs or someone that can intervene to help the family?

    3) When a new GJ is seated – is it likely that the State’s Attorney would recall witnesses that testified in front of the previous GJ or do they just review the testimony that was given to a previous GJ and only call those witnesses that they have more questions for.

    4) Is the current GJ calling any more witnesses?

    5) Are there any free legal services available to non-working spouses of police officers that are in desparate need of confidential legal assistance?

    6) Does anyone know exactly where the last ping was that Stacy’s phone signaled?

  31. rescueapet Says:

A background check he does on anyone doesn’t mean jack shit

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

It does to a stalker and a man with retaliation on his mind !

  32. Funny too how Drew did a background check on Mike, but never bothered to chase up the guy Stacy supposedly ran off with !!

  33. Good. Thanks.

IMO, what I read at the intern’s site did not lead me to believe that there was a new witness. This is what that person may have been thinking of (from March 13):

We started out by stopping in the District 5 Headquarters in Lockport to talk to a few other investigators about some tips they had received that morning. Afterwards, we headed out to talk to someone who had seen some suspicious activity from around the time Stacy went missing.

From reading her blog, sounds like they get tips all the time and follow up on them. I think the last part may be referring to a tip about something near a quarry, which turned out to be an area already searched and the activity known about (homeless person’s encampment).

  34. TAI – I think I can answer question #1. If a spouse is uncomfortable with going to a supervisor, they have in-house clergy and/or counselors available that can be contacted with complete privacy and confidentiality.

There’s help for both sides – the spouse and/or the officer. It’s up to them to pursue it.

  35. My question is this –

How much longer do they think the citizens of Bollingbrook have to wait for the ISP to take the two time murderer and put him behind bars ?

He can peddle his wings there !

  36. If Raines was stupid enough to piss him off with her poor etiquette, that’s her problem. Big girl.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

She did a lot more than just piss him off with that comment.

She touched on the essence of Drew !

    and that’s not smart !!

  37. What’s his best guess as to why there’s been no indictment? What piece(s) are they missing or waiting for?

  38. (I’ve been so downhearted the last few days about whether or not this human-shaped turd will ever face legal justice. I do hope ISP wanting this ring may mean his hubris has finally led him to a huge mistake, which none of his buddies can cover.)

  39. My question:

Where exactly did Drew say he went on his motorcycle for those 3 days following the disappearance of Stacy when Rick Mim’s babysat? Where did he tell Rick he was going?

  40. Lavanda the link is at the top of this thread. It’s not a pic of Kathleen tho – but a pic of Ernie.

  41. Yes, I have seen that pic. However, BucketofTea posted the following: “Yikes. The ring Ernie showed us looks exactly the kind of ring worn on the first finger by a glamourpuss like Kitty.”……and I was curious where she saw a pic of Kathleen wearing that kind of ring?

  42. JAH,
Great article on officer involved domestic stalking, etc.
Some how I keep thinking Chrissy is just another pawn in Drew’s game, to “prove” once again, He is the Only One telling the truth. He will go to great lengths to try to prove this. I really believe Chrissy is Safe. He can’t have anything happen to her, that would “prove” he is wrong, and every one else is right. She has served her purpose. She was engaged to him, lived with him, and he is “letting her Go of her own free will”, he did Nothing to her for leaving him. It was a Mutual Agreement. They are still friends. “Mr. Nice Guy” once again… See, nothing happened to Chrissy for leaving, so I did nothing to Stacy or Kathleen for leaving. I really believe that is the way his brain works. Besides, Chrissy will definitely be a witness, and she will have to say how wonderful he treated her and her kids, and let her leave when ever she wanted to leave, blah, blah, blah. Try to create doubt. That was how he set her up, to use her in his trial. He never meant to marry her, he doesn’t have to. He accomplished his goal, by getting her to move in, and go on all the media interviews, and say all that BS about him. And as naive as she is, she has gone along with him, in all the media interviews, as little miss lovey dovey, he got what he wanted out of her. Now he will use her again, by being as wonderful to her as you can imagine. He has to Finish what he started with her, so she will go to trail and try to create that Doubt he so desperately needs.
Of course, he can let Chrissy go, and be nasty nice now, to further his agenda for his trail.
Does he really think a jury will not see through this little “Chrissy pawn game” he is playing?? Come on Drew….Give us a little credit, here. Sure Chrissy can go, and you be nasty nice about it. She is no threat to your MONEY, or your FREEDOM….She can not legally Take Anything Away from you, as Kathleen and Stacy could. She cannot testify that you killed Kathleen, like Stacy could…. And you have made damn sure that you treated her nasty nice, so as to make a good witness for your self. Cause you have No One Else. You have to Create a Witness. Wal la …. Enter Chrissy…..Aren’t you just the clever one? Too bad, we all see through your little plot, huh?
Too bad you went to all that trouble with Chrissy for Nothing….I don’t believe Any Jury will buy your BS about Chrissy….I know I don’t !!

  43. I wonder….How long before Chrissy blabs !

I wonder..Did DP pass on his gift of gab to her ?

    I wonder…Does Chrissy know anything we don’t ?
( except what it is like to sleep with a baggy eyed, saggy assed two time murderer )

I wonder…What will she title her Bombshell Book ?

Living with a chicken wing peddler ??

The Up’s and Down’s of living with a two time murderer ?

Hmmmmmmmmmm so many choices I could go on, but I think it best not to clog the forum ! LOL

  44. Not too long, you’re OK ;-) jeannie!

    Wingpeddler, airbiker….seeing a trend? LOL

I see no reasonable doubt raised in anything at all so far….anyone?

  45. The only reasonable doubt I have is….

Whether or not JUSTICE will be served in this tragedy!

  46. If we don’t hear before Wednesday we can ask Hosey if the GJ has been dismissed.

Maybe he’ll know about any renewed search efforts, as well.

  47. I wonder…Is it standard procedure to announce that the GJ has been dimissed or is that a secret also ??

    Anyone know ??

  48. From what I hear about GJ it sounds like you don’t learn anything unless you’re committed to hanging out on the court steps and bugging people on their way in and out.

  49. I wonder if Joe thinks it’s possible there has been a concurrent Federal GJ?
    BTW
I think that’s a particularly nice photo of Joe above.

  50. I think so. As long as I don’t have a book or a bar to plug, what’s the advantage of going real-name?

Plus, we might as well use the names people would recognize.

  51. Pucker up those 23-24 year old lips, hold your nose, and jump right in, ladies, the water’s fine.

  52. Question for Susan/Joe:

Whose name is on the title NOW for Stacy’s car (2002 Pontiac Grand Prix)?

  53. I think the cry in Bolingbrook and the surrounding area should be:

    Parents lock up your daughters!

  54. Very cool to use your nics…like The Shadow LOL…what evil lurks within the hearts of men? Facsmiley and Rescueapet know….muuwahahah.

    * * * *

I’m not convinced the car was ‘transphered’, but would be surprised if it was ever in Stacy’s name to begin with. He probably promised but somehow never sent the documents off, etc.

Have there been any more Chrissy sightings? Is she going to be babysat by LE?

  55. I think Chrissy may have completely wigged-out when she awoke to find Droopy in his ninja suit in the middle of the night.

  56. LOL, noway.

I know, bucket, it is on 7th, but just wanted to learn when it is formally announced because I think it is related with GJ (I hope) last meeting and Drew’s arrest.

  57. LOL, bucket. I must have been something ;).
Maybe she left because Drew bought a new blue barrel with chlorine sachettes or another container like that for change?

  58. Note to Chrissy: Now that you have parted as friends, if Drew calls you some day and says “How much do you love me?” Hang up!

  59. :-D YAY as my 2 girls would say… in unison, a bit weakly, like Rod and Todd Flanders lol

I had coffee on the seafront with a friend I haven’t seen since before Christmas and she almost fainted dead away to discover he was ‘still walking around’ My daughters used to roll their eyes and sigh, now they are angry.

  60. http://www.chicagobreakingnews.com/2009/04/police-seek-missing-dupage-teen.html

DuPage County police are seeking a 17-year-old Naperville-area girl who may have run away from home, leaving her belongings — even her cell phone and her coat, WBBM-AM reports.

Katheryne Porter, who lives with her family near Bauer Road and Mill Street, left home about 1 a.m. Wednesday, the radio station reports. Her mother tells WBBM she has bipolar disorder and may have gone to meet a man her family does not know.

The girl is 5-foot-5, weighs 110 pounds and has light brown hair, light blue eyes and two scars under her chin. Before she left home, she was wearing khaki Capri or cargo-style pants, a black top and a gray sweatshirt with a hood, according to the station.

Katheryne had not been located as of about 11:15 a.m. today, DuPage County Sheriff’s police said. Anyone with information should call police at 630-407-2400.

I hope Drew’s cheapness caught up with him, and the ring he gave to Chrissy belonged to Kathleen or was one of Stacy’s that she allegedly hocked.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Considering Drew claims to have selected the ring from a drawer of costume jewellery in his house, it must have belonged to SOMEONE if it didn’t belong to either Kathleen or Stacy (!!)

    So the question remains:

WHOSE jewellery is it then ??

  63. Are the children now not going to be psychologically damaged if you keep moving in and out, but part as “friends” ??

  64. Is Joel still representing DrewP? Maybe he has already had his collar felt by someone or other about his behaviour? Did he “disrespect” somebody? lol

  65. It’s all creepier and creepier as time goes on. I have a little concern that while he is not happy, feeling neglected and thwarted, he may be more volatile. I worry about the boys having commando training.

  66. Christina would already have fuelled his inferno with her stupid remark about Mancow and Tony Yauk and Mike Siuda constantly in his face !!

  67. My question is therefore to Susan Rhoades:

Is it flirting with danger to (publicly) tease someone like Drew with intended infidelity ??

  68. I think at the time he thought it was cute. She was copying him. It’s exactly what he would say, but when he’d had a minute to think about it…

I wonder if Joe knows what’s up with David Turvey.

  69. Heaven help the Defense team if Christina is going to be one of Drews main character witnesses – LOL !!

  70. What is she going to say about Drew that is going to attest to his innocense and good character ?

That he has always been nice to her and waited on her hand and foot (isn’t that what she said in interview one) ?

So why did she move out twice already ?

That he is such a good father

Apart from being a suspect in their mothers murders, he is continually badmouthing and degrading the childrens deceased and missing mothers and that makes him a good father (!)

Drew would never hurt her or anyone else !

Where did Christina get that foresight and insight from ?

Is Christina a clairvoyant, LE profiler or clinical psychologist ?

Did she speak to Kathleen/Stacy and they told her Drew would never hurt her or anyone else ??

  71. To anyone who cares what happened to the white trash slut Chrissy, she is definately back with the washed up MIKE SIUDA JR! Much to the joy of his proud parents, he was just spotted driving with Chrissy after taking the night off work to “celebrate” her return to his apartment. His parents hoped to have a normal night out with their youngest son, who I might add is the perfect one, yet took a chance and drove by Mikes apartment just in time to see them drive off. Mike of course can’t man up and tell the truth about anything EVER so he’s trying to come up with an excuse as we speak. I’ll add some more as soon as I know what else is going on:)

  72. Anyone who’d go from washed up Mike to washed up Drew, back to washed up Mike and back again to washed up Drew and back to washed up Mike again, may be slightly washed up herself – LOL !

  73. Midnight – how does one keep this all straight without a score pad?

Thanks for the update. Now if we could just hear those words “he’s been arrested,” that would be a good thing!

    LOL,LOL !!

  75. I wonder…How long before she is moved back in ??

I wonder…Is this another PR stunt or whatever we want to call it ?

What do you expect from a two time murdering unfaithful baggy eyed, washed up has been (actually he was never easy on the eyes ) lying, chicken wing peddler who neglects his children and makes a mockery of their murdered mothers on a daily basis ??

Well I certainly know what I would like to be able to expect….AN ARREST for a start works for me ! ;)

How is everybody doing this WONDERFUL evening ?

As long as Chrissy is voluntarily out of Drew’s house, my opinion of her is elevated.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I reserve judgement until I know how long she manages to stay away, keeping in mind they parted as “friends” this time and how long Drew can maintain being “friends” when he knows Christina is back gallivanting with Mike again (!!)

  78. PETERSON: I have eight, collectively. We have six kids at home and we’re busy. Last night we were making dinner and I got them lined up like an assembly line, feeding them. It’s quite an effort.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Most people with six children feed them every night, so why is this such a novel experience for Drew ??

  79. JAH, when you only do something 3 or 4 times in your life (like when there is a reporter to impress), it’s a novel experience. :)

  80. I’m with you, Justanotherhen….ok, maybe I’m a bit more stringent? I think the mere fact she moved in with him the first time and brought children into the situation has left me with a bad taste….let alone doing it again a second time. I think she is reckless and with no regard to her children. What does she NEED a man for anyhow? Go back home and let their grandfather be the male figure in her children’s lives. She’s obviously not capable of making good choices in the best interest of her children….not when she takes them to live… not once…but twice to the home of a murder suspect! How much worse can it get?

  81. Fact is, she’s no more responsible for taking care of young children then the idiot she moved in with. Great minds think alike, so it’s no wonder they meshed their lives for a while. That, and I still think there was something in it for her. It’s too bad that creeps like Peterson and Raines are even privileged enough to have children, when those who would give a limb for one don’t always have the opportunity to become a parent.

Peterson not having his kids taken out of his home is just mind boggling. I guess the child advocate agency involved in the welfare of these kids must base their good home situation on those kids being fed, clothed, sent off to school, and tucked in their beds at night. Well, except for one that prowls around with his father to tear down ribbons, while dressed in dark clothes. Guess it doesn’t matter that their psychological upbringing is beyond reason, but, oh well, it’s not their problem.

Makes you sick to think about, doesn’t it?

  82. It makes me sick too, rescue. Unfortunatelly, there are thousands of families messing their children’s lives like that or worse. On the other hand, those child advocate agencies sometimes take children out of loving poor families instead of helping them financially or in any other way.
There is nothing worse for a child than to be emotionally abused.

  83. Second only to the deaths of two young women, the psychological well-being of all of these kids is hanging in the balance, and we all know what that encompasses.

What memories he has weaved for his four minor children. Tom and Kris are left with facts uncovered that their mother was murdered, and her assets were turned over to their father by an uncle Drew convinced to screw them out of what was rightfully theirs. They, presumably, came to care for another “mom,” who they’re left to remember as running off with some dude, grabbing her bikini in the meantime. The little people will have no recollection of their mother except for the unsavory and unkind picture their father has painted of her. Unworthy of her love, and forgotten by their father within weeks so he could get himself dates on a radio show.

What about Peterson doesn’t make anyone sick to think about this. Anyone with a heart should have a hard time even looking at this asshole, let alone co-mingling with him. Even his adult children, his brother, his sister, his friends. He’s shown what he is, even if these people don’t believe he killed anyone. He’s the kind of a parent that warrants a poster of his own, showing what a real child abuser is.

Drew Peterson alone again…naturally…fiance Raines jumps ship
    April 4, 4:25 PM · Add a Comment

Now that Drew Peterson’s on-again off-again fiancé, Christina Raines has apparently escaped with her life for the second time since their much publicized engagement, Peterson can consider himself on par with ecologically minded recreational fishermen everywhere.

The next time Peterson, the 52-year-old former Bolingbrook cop, shows up at one of his favorite local watering holes, he can hold court with his hangers-on by extolling stories about “the one that got away.” Or, the one that he “let” get away.

Peterson seems to be practicing a new trend made popular by recreational fishermen known as “catch and release.” The conservation technique involves unhooking a fish and returning it to the water as a way to avoid overfishing, with Raines, his latest “catch” returning (along with her two small children) to the “waters.”

This could be a welcome change from his former ways; Peterson’s previous romantic couplings have either ended badly (first wife carol brown and second wife Vicki Connolly ), fatally (third wife Kathleen Savio) or mysteriously .

Unless, of course, the parting is temporary, such as was the case with the first break-up earlier this year. Days after the reported break-up, the pair were seen smiling and snuggling during a Today Show interview proclaiming their reconciliation.

According to Illinois State police, Peterson has been the only person of interest in the October, 2007 disappearance and “potential homicide” of his 23-year-old fourth wife, and mother of his two youngest children, Stacy Peterson. Peterson’s third wife, Kathleen Savio, who was found dead in her bathtub in March 2004, has been reviewed since Stacy disappeared and is now reclassified as a homicide.

Peterson has admitted the above circumstances surrounding the fates of his last two wives could appear “fishy” to outsiders, but claims fourth wife Stacy left him for another man and that he had nothing to do with Savio’s mysterious death.

Perhaps with this latest break-up (release?) of Raines, this serial husband who previously appeared to live by the adage “there are plenty more fish in the sea,” is doing his part to keep the waters stocked.

  85. I wonder..Will these children ever heal ??

    It’s bad now…
When the indictment, arrest, trial, conviction and sentencing is all said and done it is going to get much worse for these children.

    This whole thing sucks !

DP should ROT IN HELL for the damage he is doing to his children and continues to do.

That is what makes me wonder….Will these children ever find justice, peace and happiness ???

    It’s so damn unfair !!!

  86. Sugar – thanks.

    Wonder, yeah, it is unfair.

His kids aren’t being raised in an environment that is nurturing, and all he seems to do is continue to humiliate and embarrass his teens. His little ones–well, who knows when and if they’ll ever have a solid, loving family that doesn’t change from week to week. Isn’t the man just a pathetic excuse of a human being? Funny, he is the one that latched on to the weak, troubled people he came across. Hopefully, if his kids wind up needing help, they won’t wind up with a sick idiot like he is. Someone who calls troubled people street rats that he takes under his wing.

  87. Rescue, he latches on to those types because anyone else can see through his masquerade from the get-go. Those that cling to him and make him feel celebrity-ish are half cocked…so they don’t count either. Is there one decent human being that frequents that home that is a friend of Drews? I’ve yet to see one.

  88. What bugs me no end is the fact Drew sees to it none of these children ever get to see any of the Savio- or Cales family members.

He’s poisened their minds the Savio family doesn’t care about them and have never even asked about them.

He went as far as ringing the Police (!!) when one of Stacy’s little ones met up with Auntie Cassandra in the driveway and had a picture taken with her.

How can he have such an extreme monopoly over these children ?

  89. Speaking of children, has anyone considered how clueless Christina in all her ignorance and stupidity is really endorsing Stacy did not mindlessly run away with another man ??

  90. I wonder…How anyone can look at pictures of SP with her children and even entertain the mere possibility that she left without her babies ??

    NOWAY in HELL !

    Sorry Noway ;)

  91. 2 fired for alleged role in Bolingbrook City Hall theft ring
    Friday, April 28, 2006 | 6:15 PM
    10 city workers accused
    By Chuck Goudie

March 30, 2006 (WLS) — The ABC7 I-Team has learned at least 10 government workers in Bolingbrook are accused of buying hundreds of thousands of dollars of personal goods with village tax money. Some workers have been fired, others suspended. Police say they expect all will be charged with crimes.

There is no fancy, big-city code name for this case like Operation Hired Trick or Incubator. There was no undercover investigation with moles and snitches. The thievery went undetected for at least two years, until last week, when Bolingbrook authorities tell us they stumbled across the clever scheme when some things on the city books just didn’t add up.

“I’m embarrassed for the city. It happened under my watch,” said Mayor Roger Claar.

In Roger Claar’s 20-year as mayor in southwest suburban Bolingbrook, this is the worst scandal he says he has every seen.

According to authorities, the corruption grew out of the public works and finance departments that serve this fast-growing suburb of 75,000 residents and dozens of newly based corporations and businesses.

The Bolingbrook employee theft ring consisted of 10 union employees, one person from the finance department and nine people from public works. As of Thursday, two have been terminated; one has resigned and the rest will be fired pending the completion investigation.

“Everyone gained personally out of this and there was a connection between public works and finance to try to cover their tracks,” said Chief Ray McGury, Bolingbrook police.

Bolingbrook’s police chief says the ring stole several hundred thousand dollars through the use of purchase orders the last two years. Instead of equipment for government work, he says they bought plasma televisions, stereos, clothing and food, which were taken to employees’ homes or hidden in the homes of their neighbors.

“Equipment for your home, it could be lawn equipment, it could be tools, it could be things you need in your house that the village would have to buy, and it wouldn’t get here,” said Chief McGury. “Then there were things that the village would never need. We started looking at things that were inappropriate. What would you need clothes for? What would you need food for?”

“I am absolutely disgusted. These are long time employees who are given a very good salary, administrators in the departments that were given a fair amount of trust to run this village, to protect the interests of this village and they blatantly conspired in conjunction with a person in the finance department, blatantly conspired to defraud the village,” said Mayor Claar.

Authorities executed search warrants at a Bolingbrook home where one of the now-terminated public works employees lives, and police say they carted off truckloads of ill-gotten goods. There was no answer at the home Thursday when the I-Team knocked.

Bolingbrook’s mayor says he personally knew many of the alleged crooks.

“These are our most trusted employees,” Claar said. “These are the people out there in emergency situations, the people we count on.”

Bolingbrook officials say they expect to soon turn over evidence to a Will County grand jury. The Will County prosecutor Thursday did not return our phone call.

Mayor Claar says he wants the accused village workers to be punished more severely than just repaying the stolen money, and he says that village purchasing procedures are being completely revamped.

  92. Excellent post Rescue, as always, I enjoy reading all of your posts. And so the saga goes on about the losers of BB, and the children are still the ones who are left sitting in their mud puddle, once again.

  93. Bolingbrook’s mayor says he personally knew many of the alleged crooks.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Great article Bucketoftea, thanks for the reminder !!

Bolingbrook Mayor also personally knows another alleged crook, now under investigation for murder (!)

Can’t win a trick if you’re the Mayor of Bolingbrook !

  94. LD, to me it seems that Drew has no real friends left; only ex-friends who got out when they realized what he was, or those who are in too deep to back out now (Mike Robinson, Steve Carcerano).

  95. That is so funny, bucket (BTW, good morning), you found the same article on Claar as I did two days ago ;. Are we going along the same paths? LOL.
It drove me to look for more.
Claar was a Village Trustee 1979-1985,then a Police Commisioner 1986-1987 and miraculously became an appointed Mayor after Robert Bailey had been arrested for corruption in 1986. Then Bailey was cleared and wanted to come back but Claar said he would not give up. And so he has been stuck to the post for 23 years.

Generally, the 1985-1986 seem really interesting to me.

If you look at Bonnie’s site what were the arguments not to let her start in the election, it sounds really sad and rediculous.
    http://www.bolingbrookmayor.com/press/radio.html

This man appointed himself the King of Bolinbrook. He can drive drunk, can force honest people (see McGury) to leave their posts, and does not take any responsibility for his coworkers and denies any wrongdoings. He used people as Drew does. And then he complains he cannot sleep at night and has enemies…

He says Bolingbrook has changed very much for the last 23 years. I sounds so funny to me. With its location Bolingbrook would have developed itself without BB First. If you came here to Warsaw,PL you would see how many things have totally changed within the last 2-3 years, even 1 (not 23!) and are still changing. The whole world has been changing, not only BB!

I am sure Glasgow wants to do something with him and that is why the whole story with Stacy takes much too long. IMO, that is not only Claar; there are many people around him whose influence must be eleiminated. Otherwise, Drew will go away with all he has done. He knows it and it let him be so arrogant.

  96. Claar was a Village Trustee 1979-1985,then a Police Commisioner 1986-1987.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hmmmmmm interesting, so Roger Claar was Police Commisioner between 1986 – 1987.

Anything memorable happen with Drew in 86 – 87 ???

  97. Good morning cyrhla…LOL I think you and I share a more suspicious nature than some (aka bitter and twisted lol) Has Carol Penning been talking to the Feds? Why the new political party for Claar? “More important” Republicans cutting him loose before The Fall? It does make me wonder! sorry WW :-)

  98. JAH,
1985 – Drew Peterson was fired from the Bolingbrook Police Department after the village board of police and fire commissioners found him guilty of disobedience, conducting a self-assigned investigation, failure to report a bribe immediately and official misconduct He had been indicted two months earlier on charges of official misconduct and failure to report a bribe. Peterson was working under the auspices of the Metropolitan Area Narcotics Squad at the time. Indictments alleged he solicited drugs in exchange for information about his agency.[by Bolingbrook Police Chief, William Charnisky and State Police Lt. Col. Ronald Janota, Peterson's boss at the Metropolitan Area Narcotics Squad]

1986 Special prosecutor Raymond Bolden said at the time the charges were not provable. Drew Peterson won reinstatement with the department in March 1986. Judge Edwin Grabiec ruled police and fire commissioners lacked sufficient evidence to find Peterson guilty of the charges.

  99. From BB First site:

    # Former Village Trustee, October 1979 – April 1985
    # Former Bolingbrook Fire and Police Commissioner, April 1986 – Nov. 1987

I wonder what was he doing between April 1985 and April 1986? ;) Was he preparing to kick off Robert Bailey, the former BB Mayor? Why did he stop to be a Trustee?

  100. Oke, going back to 1986

My understanding is the Village had sacked Drew (for ratting out his collegues to a drug dealer) and a Will County judge forced the Village of Bolingbrook to reinstate him.

So if the village had sacked him, would that have been Roger Claar in his capacity as Bolingbrook Fire and Police Commisioner ???

I’m not sure now because at the time Drew was on “loan” to the Metropolitan Area Narcotics Squad, so which Department had him sacked then ??

  101. Bolingbrook Police Chief, William Charnisky, 86 now, recommends Peterson to be fired.
He is indicted on charges of official misconduct and failure to report a bribe.
Two months later he is fired from the BPD after the Village Board of Police and Fire Commissioners found him guilty of disobedience, conducting a self-assigned investigation, failure to report a bribe immediately and official misconduct.

  102. Thank You -

    “Conducting a self assigned investigation”

Isn’t that what he was always doing ?

  103. I think that “conducting a self-assigned investigation” is the dog-ate-my-homework equivalent for crooked cops, LOL.

  104. I wonder if Stephen Peterson (Drew’s son) has ever worked for BB police. There is one in 2006 BB annual report (good bye section) but no one like that in 2005 AR.

The other thing I am curious about is why Stephen’s address was at 392 Pheasant Chase Dr (2002). Did he lived with Drew and Kathleen then?

  105. My question to Hosey: Have you ever talked to Drew’s son Eric or met him in person? If so, what is his opinion of Drew? If not, what Drew tells about their relations?

  106. cyrhla Says:

  107. Does Joe know what’s up with Lenny’s “missing” wife? Acandyrose still calls it a mystery and I wrote to acandy to ask about it, but they only wrote back asking if I was a blogger.

  108. cyrhla, I think he was living with K and D. After DP moved into Pheasant Chase Court with Stacy, Steve lived there too with a girlfriend, Jenny. They were resident there when Kitty was murdered….hence Jenny’s appearance at the GJ.

  112. Bucket – Did you mean to ask about Tom Morphey’s missing wife? I had not ever heard that Lenny ever had a missing wife.

  113. Yes, think. JB and DP referred to Tom’s wife going missing years ago. We’re pretty sure we heard someone somewhere saying no mystery, just moved and out of touch, but we haven’t really had confirmation one way or another.

  114. What gets on my nerve is that Claar always hides behind other people either when taking bribes or fighting with his opponents. Like Drew, he cannot simply give up.

  115. I must have missed something….what happened to Ray McGury? I thought he was really nice. I used to be a Police Media Liaison Officer. I wrote to him last year before I travelled to America, with the plan of staying and working, and offered to do some media training for his officers; he had made a comment earlier about how his officers were not experienced in handling media queries.

He wrote back and said unfortunately the village budget didn’t allow for it, but invited me to contact him when I was in town anyway and he would see what he could do to point me in the right direction re looking for work.

I thought he was really nice. Did he get fired?

  116. Hi Aussienat.

Ray McGury left his BB police chief job voluntarily to take a job as the head of another suburban town’s park district.

He is working for the Naperville Park District, in fact. Apparently,, he applied for and interviewed for the job, and was accepted.

Haven’t heard a word about him since.

  117. OT but possibly important. I just pray this is a false alarm and little Sandra Cantu comes home safe and sound:

Coroner’s van arrives at site where suspicious black container found in Tracy

    By Mike Martinez
    San Joaquin Herald
    Posted: 04/06/2009 01:56:27 PM PDT

TRACY — Tracy police and the FBI are scouring an area northeast of town for clues in the case of Sandra Cantu after a large black container was found floating in a pond that was being drained by a farmer.

Concerned that the discovery might be related to the case of the missing 8-year-old, who disappeared 10 days ago, at least 25 law enforcement officers spent the day at the scene collecting potential evidence. However, at a press conference held just before 4 p.m. this afternoon, Tracy Police Sgt. Tony Sheneman said the container hadn’t been opened yet and probably wouldn’t be opened until later tonight.

“We don’t know what’s in there or if there’s anything or there’s nothing in there,” Sheneman told reporters.

A coroner’s van arrived at about 3 p.m. at the scene, a farm near Bacchetti Road in northeast Tracy about two miles north of the Orchard Estates Mobile Home Park where Sandra was living when she disappeared after returning home from school on March 27. An FBI forensics crew is also at the location.

  118. Thanks Rescue, I am glad he didn’t get fired! What is the new guy like at BBPD? Is he one of drew’s old cronies??

  119. My heart is broken that someone could do such a terrible thing to yet another child:

    http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/04/07/california.missing.girl.dead/

Missing girl Sandra Cantu found dead

(CNN) — Authorities found the body of 8-year-old Sandra Cantu in a suitcase in a dairy-farm pond near her California home on Monday.

Sandra Cantu, 8, disappeared on March 27. Her body was found at a dairy-farm pond near her Calilfornia home.

The girl had been missing since March 27 from her home in Tracy, California. Police did not identify a suspect.

News of the girl’s death devastated her family, Tracy police spokesman Tony Sheneman said.

“They have just experienced the unimaginable,” Sheneman said.

The day Sandra was last seen, she came home from school, kissed her mother and left to play with a friend who lives a couple of homes away. A short time later, she left that home to go to another friend’s home, according to a spokeswoman for her family.

The child was last seen by her family wearing a pink Hello Kitty T-shirt and black leggings.

Authorities identified her body by the clothes she was wearing, Sheneman said.

Earlier in the investigation, police released surveillance video that showed the child in the mobile home park where she lives — skipping and happily swinging her arms on the day she disappeared. They had hoped to get tips with the eight-second video.

On Monday, they got a tip about the dairy farm.

Workers on the farm were getting water from a retention pond when the black suitcase came to the surface of the water, police said.

“It is very difficult for everybody involved. We were optimistic that we would find Sandra alive,” Sheneman said.

  120. Good morning and happy Polling Day to Bolingbrook! I hope you can give the conspirators who steal your right to choose will get a black eye. *-(

  121. Good morning, bucket.

The story of Sandra is horrible. Poor child.

I wish BB people elect the right person today (=Bonnie Kurowski-Alicea). Watch Claar and his clique today!
It’s time BBFirst went to hell!

  122. I wonder…What does one consider a “resolution” to the SP case ??

I wonder…Does it mean the two time murderer will be indicted, arrested, incarcerated, tried and convicted of her murder or does it mean that in addition to that SP’s body must be located as well and put to rest ??

I wonder…Will there ever be justice for KS & SP ??

I also wonder…What is justice to you ???

  123. Thanks, bucket.:)

Facs, we do not have to have the final results. Rough estimations will be OK (IMO) to arrest Drew. Very soon! :)

  124. Hope so. If there is no arrest in next 10 days or so, we need to get hold of Hosey again to ask precisely why he thought it would be around about now or not at all.

I can’t accept the never option. I hoped that the reason why he hasn’t been arrested yet is because they’re preparing to take out all of the trash.

I saw someone comment on topix, I think, that DP has a reputation for being a good fighter…2 things…1. How good do you have to be to beat up a woman, and a small one at that, and 2. Is that where he knows Bob Diehl from? Extreme street fighting website?

  125. Just to recall the red light camera issue:

    November 8, 2007
With Aurora still wrangling over installation of cameras at intersections to catch red-light runners, it’s interesting to note one area community is suspending its program…because it has been a success.

Six months after Bolingbrook installed cameras at three intersections, the village says it intends to halt enforcement.

“We’ve changed the behavior of drivers, so now we’re going to pull it for a few months,” (Bolingbrook Mayor Roger) Claar said. “It’s going to be re-evaluated over the next few months to see if people are violating red lights and right turns on reds.”

According to the Naperville Sun, police say accidents at the intersections where the cameras were installed dropped 40 percent during the past six months compared to the same months last year. In July, the village issued 2,132 tickets for red-light violations. Officers issued just 786 tickets village-wide for other traffic violations during that month.

Hilarious “story” by the Sun. They’ve failed to mention that the Mayor of Bolingbrook received a ticket himself, and then the system was “suspended.” What a joke.

  126. What’s funny to me is they proved the cameras work to stop violations and accidents, so they stop it. Bonkers. A bit bonkers, too, is over 2,ooo drivers running red lights in a month. Bolingbrook sounds a bit wild!

  127. Did Drew ever go extreme street fighting training with Bob Diehl, or did they just talk about it?

  128. To dispel the rumors that Drew Peterson is a good fighter, (against men) or an “expert” at karate………. the only facts I ever heard about consist of the weasel either hiding behind his badge or someone else, running away, or dialing 911. I don’t know where the rumors came from.

  129. LOL womenscortned…you put your finger on it….I suspect it was the mommykiller himself that posted that….makes sense, huh. He’s dying to show us how badass he is. ROFL. …and who else would be telling everyone how he has lots of women lined up? ROFL

  130. This was posted on Bolingbrook topix today:

I have endured working under Roger Claar long enough. His hurtful, weight-related jabs and comments do not just roll off like he may think. They are cruel and hurtful. This is the true Roger, self-centered and no concerned with anyone or anyone’s feelings unless it has an effect on him. It is this that makes it nearly unbearable to work for and act on behalf of the village as I have done for most of my adult life.

Many of the things said regarding his conduct are true as are many of the suspicions.

I urge you to vote with me today for the mayoral candidate best suited for the leadership of our village. I urge you to vote for the candidate who has real courage and foresight that does not always have to end with their last name.

Vote with me for write in candidate Bonnie Kurowski-Alicea!

    Carol Penning

  131. I saw that but kind of doubted its veracity.

I haven’t been following the election very closely but while in BB, I did notice Penning’s name paired with Claar’s on some signage.

“We’ve changed the behavior of drivers, so now we’re going to pull it for a few months,” (Bolingbrook Mayor Roger) Claar said. “It’s going to be re-evaluated over the next few months to see if people are violating red lights and right turns on reds.”

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

What an utterly bizarre and non sensical statement from the Mayor and even more so around that date (!!)

    One week after Stacy “disappeared”

  133. Forgot to mention:

Did he pull those red light cameras retrospectively, like just before Stacy disappeared ???

  134. My guess is Roger Claar is going to retire to Florida.

Because it is nice and warm there (!!

    **************
Or right AFTER?… It could be absolutely innocent, of course, but there’s so much crap in such a small area, it’s hard not go all Conspiracy-Theorist when cameras, which are working as they were intended, are removed.

  136. He did pull them right after coffeeocity and his reason don’t make one iota bit of sense.

    The question then remains:

WHY did he pull those cameras and commencing from what date if the newspaper article is only from Novemebr 7, 2008 (!!)

  137. Methinks, if there are suddenly no red light camera records any more over a crucial time frame that could make a certain individual and his street rats pals breath a little bit easier !

  138. “It’s going to be re-evaluated over the next few months to see if people are violating red lights and right turns on reds.”

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Huh ?, huh ?, how does one favorably evaluate the effectiveness of red light cameras if they’re not there anymore ???

  139. I think we are all weary and tired about the fact just about everything has come to a grinding halt. It’s hard to stay on topic for all of us, especially when it looks as though the Grand Jury has not been hearing from witnesses, and there’s been no news of late since Morphey went public. Even Joe Hosey said he doesn’t know why Peterson hasn’t been charged yet.

We’re going to call into Susan Murphy Milano’s radio show tomorrow, and she’s counting on us to ask some questions.

So, how about we get back to blogging about what we really want to hear about and come up with some fantastic ideas in the way of questions.

  140. Oke facs, I hear you and in that case Roger Claars timing and explanation was extremely ill conceived (!)

  141. I wonder…Rescue/Facs if you would kindly ask what
Justice means to those listening or blogging ??

I wonder…How many different meanings are there out there ??

Justice…So easy to ask for…Yet so hard to get !!

  142. Wonder – questions posed to Joe Hosey, questions he may have answers to, like whether he’s heard the GJ is no longer in session, or who may have appeared that we haven’t heard about, are ones we’d like to ask; questions that we all may have wondered about during these past months.

Aren’t there any in particular that pertain to the fate of these two women that come to mind?

  143. Even Joe Hosey said he doesn’t know why Peterson hasn’t been charged yet.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Oke this question is for Joe Hosey:

Why does he think that ?

  144. Here are some questions that were emailed to us:

    1. What happened to Morphey’s wife. It was reported that she is missing, do you know where she is or is this true that she is missing?

    2. Why is Drew Peterson still free? And of course where is Stacy?

    3. Why does the media go along with him and not call him out? Why is he treated like a celebrity? He is making fun of 2 murdered woman.

    4. How do we get the same law that is in California? The minute a spouse is a suspect, the children have to be removed from the home and is in someone else’s custody. We need that law here desperately.

  145. Wonder, from what I understand Hosey will have the floor on SMM’s show and we’ll just be “representing” by asking him questions posed by other bloggers. We could always ask him what he sees as justice…

Personally, I’d like to see charges and a fair trial take place – concerning both women.

  146. Here is the latest on BB voting.

  147. Well, I guess the Village is happy with their mayor. So be it. What they don’t seem to be happy with is the circus that continues to go on in Bolingbrook because of their most famous crime suspect.

Since Glasgow is the one that will have the final say on whether Peterson will be charged, I guess the ball is in his court. He’s the one that said at least one of the cases was close to a conclusion. He was the one that suspected Kathleen was murdered and had her body exhumed.

    So, what’s the hold-up?

  148. Seems like the Mike Robinson is moving very slowly!

  149. Facs,

Yes, sure was. Glad to see them get off to a good start. Can’t wait to get some better weather for baseball.

  150. Wonder if Joe Hosey has any idea what provoked Dopey’s house guest to move out and move on?

  151. Hey, WSF, LOL. I’m the Sox fan!!!!!

Have you heard anything more about Raines moving out? Things quiet over there now?

  152. Rescuepet,

Haven;t heard a thing. Maybe will get some news in the next couple of days after the election…

Wonder if the suspect is hanging with the mayor????

  153. I want to ask Hosey how it feels when people call him an opportunist for continuing to follow the Peterson story at this stage.

He covered Kathleen’s death inquest back in 2003 and probably knows more about this case than any other reporter. At this point his career is linked with this case, but I see him get flak for continuing to report on it as the case gets colder and the story becomes more convoluted.

Does he ever feel like he should stop?

  154. Out of curiosity, I wonder if reporters do find out more than they report in the media, but are told to keep quiet, either from LE or even witnesses?

Since Joe mentioned weeks ago that he recently learned of something that makes him wonder why Peterson hasn’t been arrested yet, is there a reason why he isn’t he able to just come out with it? I mean, who does he have to answer to if he does divulge something? How did he come to learn this information?

  155. Sometimes things deliberately get put in the news to bait a suspect and at other times things are deliberately kept from the public and suspect.

There is a reason for everything and in an ongoing investigation LE has no obligation to let anyone know why they are doing what they are doing/not doing.

  156. JAH – I know that. My point was merely this. Reporters, and in this particular case/cases, Joe Hosey, are around to hear lots of things that might not make it to press. In that regard, I am just asking/wondering IF they are sometimes told to hush about things they might hear or see, that LE doesn’t want in the public. Or maybe they get things from witnesses that they keep under wraps at the request of those witnesses.

I’m well aware that police might try to wear down or keep a suspect guessing. I believe I read about that being done in the case of John Wayne Gacy. Obviously, there’s a method to the madness, cultivated by years and years of police procedures.

In that regard, I am just asking/wondering IF they are sometimes told to hush about things they might hear or see, that LE doesn’t want in the public. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Yes exactly rescue, that’s why it is so strange Joe Hosey has been saying stuff like why Drew hasn’t been arrested yet, based on what he knows, but he’s not saying what he knows (!!), so is he just baiting Drew or is he baiting all of us while he’s at it – LOL !

  158. I do not think, for a moment, that Joe Hosey is “baiting” us or Peterson. What outcome would he gain from “baiting” him? Peterson isn’t going to confess to him or anyone else. Either someone confided something to him that threw him for a loop as to wondering why Peterson hasn’t been charged, or he’s been able to learn of even more evidence that hasn’t been publicized. He’s a writer, so if it’s something substantial, yes, of course, he’d want to write about it. Who wouldn’t? We do the same here on our little blog.

If anyone is “baiting” Peterson, it’s the State’s Attorney. He’s the one that said he expected a conclusion in at least one of the cases in the near future. What’s up with that?

  159. Sometimes things deliberately get put in the news to bait a suspect and at other times things are deliberately kept from the public and suspect.

There is a reason for everything and in an ongoing investigation LE has no obligation to let anyone know why they are doing what they are doing/not doing.

    =====================================================

Very true. From my days as a police media liaison officer, we often put out strategic media releases with the sole purpose of ‘cage rattling’. Often after a listening device was installed inside a POI’s house.

  160. Aussie – point taken, but that would account for Glasglow’s remark about expecting to conclude one of the cases in the near future. With Joe Hosey, he was on a blog talk radio program and said he couldn’t understand why Peterson hasn’t been charged. He went on to say that if it didn’t happen within a 7-week time frame, he didn’t expect it would. That time is just about up. I hardly think he was baiting anyone, since it didn’t have any effect on Peterson. I’m sure he’s still boozin’ and cruisin’ as usual, and doesn’t give two hoots what Hosey says or does.

  161. Rescue, I see what you are saying there and I agree. I think if Hosey is openly talking about a specific timeline for arrest, he has no need to be so secretive about why he feels that way. Maybe he is just toying with the public, keeping the interest alive? I don’t know. It’s very frustraing though!

  162. I wonder what Drew is going to do now that the media cares so little about him that the fact that Chrissy moved out only hit the one channel he called (CBS2) and the Bolingbrook Sun.

It used to be that everything he did hit the national media. Now it seems like no one other that the families and a couple of us bloggers even gives a rats ass what he does. The stories stay out there for only a day and most media outlets don’t even pay their own reporters to get the story – they just resurface Joe Hosey’s articles a bit and call it their own.

In this case – they didn’t even do that. Poor Drew is becoming yesterday’s news.

  163. If anyone is “baiting” Peterson, it’s the State’s Attorney. He’s the one that said he expected a conclusion in at least one of the cases in the near future. What’s up with that?

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I think the States Attorney based that statement on the direction the investigation is going and it is extremely positive and hopeful for him to even say that much (!) as these investigitive bodies usually tell you absolutely nothing, they normally don’t give anything away and for good reason !

Therefore for the States Attorney to even say he is expecting a conclusion in at least one of the cases in the near future is quite a revelation it itself, but of course it all depends what our interpretation is of “the near future” in comparison to the States Attorneys Office – LOL !

  164. There’s one consolation in the case taking so long. As long as Drew isn’t charged and acquitted…he’s just waiting for the day they knock on his door and there’s still a chance that justice may come.

  165. With Joe Hosey, he was on a blog talk radio program and said he couldn’t understand why Peterson hasn’t been charged. He went on to say that if it didn’t happen within a 7-week time frame,he didn’t expect it would. That time is just about up.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I don’t understand why Joe Hosey put on that particular time frame.

Where does Joe Hosey get the information from to be so specific about Drews imminent arrest or not at all (!!)

Lenny was very specific too when Drew was going to be arrested.

It was going to be even before Lennys Court case about pushing Drew in the back (!) was going to be heard.

Well hmmm, Drew is still walking around (!)

  166. Maybe everyone with new and/or incriminating evidence against Drew thinks that will get him arrested and put him away and extreme disappointment sets in when nothing happens and no one from LE even let’s them know what is being done with their information or if it is acted upon.

That seems to be the case with Thomas Morphey, Lenny, perhaps Joe Hosey and most likely many others we’ve never heard about.

My guess is LE most certainly processes their information and everything tightens the noose around Drews neck until all this combined evidence is enough to kick the chair from underneath him.

That’s what I think the States Attorney means by “in the near future”

  167. Good morning, everyone. :)

I only hope Glasgow saying “near future” did not mean geological perspective.

  168. I am so angry with the results of BB election.

    My question to Hosey:
“Is Thomas Burek STILL the investigator in Stacy Peterson’s case?”

I wonder if he is as he said in his email to me that he would pass on email to the investigators. Isn’t he the one?!

  169. cyrhla Says:

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    Good Morning cyrhla and others.

Let’s hope “near future” does not mean this century either as it is a very broad statement – LOL !

  170. Hi cyrhla

Sgt Burek isn’t the chief investigator, he is the information officer/press officer.

  171. I am gutted for vulnerable citizens in Bolingbrook.

Re red light cameras, looks like they need another California law…the one where you can turn right on red if safe to do so.lol otherwise, looks very stinky, eh? When a measure reduces violations and therefore accidents, you obviously stop it, huh?

If ISP just happen to be passing by when they see a drunk driver in Bolingbrook, are they ‘allowed’ to stop them for the sake of public safety?

  172. I hope we will find out about Tom’s alleged missing woman.

Otherwise, I really wonder about what Joe said about knowing something….the next story was about Tom and Drew going to the storage facility, which DP copped to. Was that it? It certainly lent credibility to Tom’s whole story and looks v v bad for the tiny scared loser.

  173. Meet the companies behind the cameras waiting to catch you

In the lobby of RedSpeed Illinois’ office in Lombard, awards and accolades share wall space with framed “first tickets” from Bolingbrook, Elmwood Park and Rosemont.

“That’s the first one we ever processed,” Debra Beerup, RedSpeed’s marketing director, said as she motioned proudly to a Bellwood citation dated Dec. 2, 2006.

The lobby scene is the first hint that this ordinary-looking, cubicle-filled office space doesn’t host your standard suburban business. In fact, RedSpeed is the only red-light-camera company based in Illinois, with photo-enforcement cameras at 117 intersections in 52 suburbs. It’s in this office that thousands of decisions are made each day about who gets a ticket.

Once through the lobby, visitors come upon a half-dozen or so violation reviewers, who watch every single 12-second video clip and still image that comes to RedSpeed showing a possible violation. Because drivers regularly trigger the cameras without a violation occurring—often by stopping just past the stop line or stopping abruptly after speeding—it’s up to the reviewers to determine whether they think there’s a violation

If they think not, the file gets purged; but if they believe a citation should be issued, the reviewers send the information to a senior reviewer. If that person agrees, the file gets forwarded to the respective law-enforcement agency, which decides whether to issue a citation.

“It’s like ‘Forrest Gump’ when you open these videos—you never know what you’re going to get,” said Valerie Parker-Hall, a senior reviewer.

    http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chi-red-speed-08-apr08,0,7106638.story

  174. It’s interesting that these vids are reviewed by “civilians” first. They may have seen and noted things….

  175. Don’t you think, bucket, there were no pictures at all? That is what was said at the very beginning but from the above story we can learn that they were switched off on Nov.1. I am confused.

  176. Not sure if this has already been viewed on this Board, but it makes interesting reading even in hindsight !

Bolingbrook Phantom Objects to Mom Bucking Roger Claar

Having 34 Year Old Mom on Ballot Seen as Threat to Roger

    Published March 5, 2009
    By John Gabriel,
    Award Winning Writer | jgabriel@theweeklyreporter.com

    Bonnie Kurowski
Bonnie Kurowski – Alicea, Phd, abd, is a 34-year old Mom, who believes she would make a good Bolingbrook mayor. Believing she could do a better job than incumbent Mayor Roger Claar, Bonnie gathered signatures to get her name on the April 7th ballot.

Bonnie says she hired an election judge to accompany her as she collected those signatures, anticipating challenges to her petitions when they were filed.

She knows Roger Claar has run unopposed year after year and thought that having anyone dare to challenge him might upset Roger. Her suspicions seemed farfetched considering that Claar has collected enough money, about 1.3 million dollars, to overwhelm any would be challenger. But someone wanted Bonnie stopped!

Busy Bonnie gathered 205 signatures. She believed they would be sufficient to get her name in the running. Then a mystery man appeared from out of the shadows, a phantom, whose name is Christopher Mathis. Christopher Mathis formerly of Romeoville now lives in Bolingbrook.

The Phantom Christopher Mathis supposedly hired the Chairman of the Will County Republican Party Richard Kavanagh to represent him. Mathis must be loaded and generous.
Bonnie Kurowski-Alicea was apparently seen as a major threat to Mayor Claar, so it seems the order went out to bring on the big guns. She speculates that someone said, “Swat her now and let’s avoid any risk that someone might get into the mayor’s office and start snooping around.”

Big gun Kavanagh appeared at the hearing on February 6th but Bonnie’s accuser did not. The Phantom stirred up the muck and then stood in the shadows, afraid it seems to face the mom he wanted off the ballot; just a phantom in the shadows.

But, like Saddam Hussein’s trials, and the way Joseph Stalin held his, and as Adolph Hitler wiped out opponents, no witness stood up face to face to say why there was a major effort launched to keep Bonnie off the ballot.

The Electoral Board was made up of Chairman Sandra Swinkunas, Carol Penning, and Leroy Brown.

Two days after they made their decision to keep Bonnie off the ballot, on February 12, 2009, a Robert Kalnicky of Bolingbrook filed a Statement of Organization for a new political party. Guess who is in that party? Roger Claar, Carol Penning who sat on the electoral board that knocked Bonnie off the ballot, and Sandra Swinkunas who was the Chairman of that Electoral Board. There are two other members of the party Joseph B. Morelli and Michael T. Lawler.

It will be interesting to watch what happens to Roger’s campaign funds that he has quietly placed in CDs. Will he transfer all that money to the new political organization or will that small fortune somehow disappear into the night? Maybe authorities will be alert and watching. That much money has to be carefully tracked it could slide right out of sight.

Of course if the Objector was present Bonnie might have asked him who paid Kavanagh’s fee. She might have asked him if Roger Claar simply used him so Roger could avoid the disgrace of showing his fear of a Bolingbrook Mom running against him. She might have asked how much it was costing to keep her name off the ballot.

But Bonnie Kurowsk-Alicea said Richard Kavanagh manipulated the truth to win the hearing. Bonnie said the truth was bent and twisted to keep her off the ballot. She said it was all trickery. Bonnie Kurowski is asking that you write her name in on the ballot; show that honesty counts. There will be a space for her name. Her name just will not be printed below Roger Claar’s, you must write it in.

Bonnie said “At the election we can prove the citizens still run this country. It does not belong to those who play dirty tricks. No one should be allowed to power-punch their way into office. Please take time to write my name on the ballot: Bonnie Kurowski-Alicea.”

Bonnie believes it is possible for honest everyday people to take control of their communities no matter how many dollars big business is willing to contribute to defeat the little guy. She is asking you to prove it by voting for her on April 7th.

Next week: Was it good lawyering or unethical conduct by Kavanagh

  177. Illinois law prohibits red-light cameras from capturing images of a driver’s face, which is why all cameras in the state capture only pictures and video of a vehicle’s rear.
Does it mean Peterson could say that was his brother driving?

  178. Exactly one month after the electoral board Mathis made 2 mortgage transactions. Don’t know what kind of transaction, whether paid off or taken anew for a favourable price on something Bolingbrook-y? Just asking the question.

Yes he could but that would still be fairly irrelevant if his car was seen in an area of interest in the investigation at a time of interest in the investigation.

It would also implicate his brother and I’m sure he’d have something to say about that (!)

I wonder….When are they going to arrest the two time murderer ???

I wonder….What could they possibly be waiting for ??

    Good luck today Facs/Rescue. ;)

  188. YAY good luck! I’m so excited it is at a time I’m still awake. Have planned a late supper at the computer to hear ALL!

  189. Good morning everyone.

I believe it’s necessary to clear up something. It is my understanding that Carol Penning did NOT write that piece that got carried over here. It’s also my understanding she wrote a “disclaimer” to that post. I would prefer that we just let that issue drop.

Cheena – Nothing has “happened” to Lenny and Paula. They’re in the area and living their lives.

Bucket – Not sure who “Joseph” Morelli is and how he’s related but as you know, Alex Morelli was Peterson’s BB Police Dept partner, and Fred Morelli was his original attorney. Alex Morelli has been caught on tape saying he wants nothing to do with Drew Peterson and that he has turned his life upside down, so I don’t think there’s any warm and fuzzy feelings between them and Peterson at this point.

Also, Illinois is a right-turn on red state.

In the meantime, maybe Joe Hosey will elaborate regarding his concerns about why Peterson hasn’t been charged with the crimes he being suspected of committing.

  190. Sorry to cause any fuss. :-(

Joseph P. Morelli came up as one of the 5(not4) members of the new political party in Bolingbrook, just checking. There are a lot of Morellis.

I hope Joe H is able to say why he said what he did about arrest soon or not at all.

  191. Thanks, Noway. I’ll poke around and see if he’s still got an interest in the Stacy Peterson case.

  192. Although we’ve heard others reference possible timing of DP’s arrest, Hosey’s most recent is the only one I can recall which had a ‘now or never’ type of twist.

What specifically makes him think there is a ‘window’ which might close?

  193. bucketoftea Says:

Cyrhla, I don’t think his brother, Paul, had anything to do with it. IMO much more likely to be son, Steve, if not Michael R or Stevo C.
    —–
Bucket, what I had on my mind was that even if they had the camera records he could say it was not him driving a car, as the cameras are focused on the rear of the car and cannot record the driver.

  194. Coffee, I can also remember him(Hosey)/them saying they are going to reveal something they know if Drew is not arrested within the following 7 weeks.
I am also very curious what it might be and why Hosey thinks now or never. I linked it with the results of the election in BB but cannot be sure, of course. Unfortunately, the results are not favorable for the case.
I sometimes wonder if they really try to find Stacy’s body and look for the tips. I have such a feeling it was all left to the family and friends. That is obvious they can look in the places which are public and doing it in any secured or restricted areas need permissions and so on, specialized equipment that is only in the police possession. If anyone in ISP ignores something important because there are Drew’s buddies(the intern you cited here has such a loose attitude, IMO, too)…

I do not want to be pessimistic and I believe Stacy’s body will be found, but not by the police.

  195. Man! I just got an email that they are doing a little birthday cake party for one of the partners at my work at 3pm CST. Grrr! I’m going to try to jump on as soon as I can. We are a very small company so it would be noticable that I wasn’t there and my office just outside of our kitchen area. (I keep praying that the financial market gets better so we get busier.)

  196. About the cameras again…

    Bolingbrook loss is drivers’ gain
    October 5, 2007

Seventy drivers nabbed by traffic signal cameras received a pleasant surprise Tuesday morning.

When they showed up at the Bolingbrook Village Hall at 9 a.m. to contest their $100 tickets, officials were still trying to download the videos taken by the cameras that showed the drivers going or rolling through red lights.

Forty-five minutes later, the drivers were still waiting to view videos of their violations.

“For some reason the system just locked up,” said Kevin McCarthy, deputy chief of the Bolingbrook Police Department.

Finally, the presiding administrative hearing officer just dismissed the drivers’ fines – which would have totaled $7,000.

They had problems with downloading the record.

  197. Sad thing is I gave up chocolate for Lent and I’m pretty sure they’ll get ice cream cake (which I don’t really care for) which usually has chocolate in it somewhere. Sigh…

  198. mmmm ice cream cake. They have none here :-(

Crumbs! I missed the first part! What did I miss? Facs and Rescue, good work….and I’m amazed that your voices were how I imagined them! Spooky!

  199. I’m just sorry we didn’t have more domestic-violence oriented questions queued up, as that was really the focus of the show.

Oh well, blog-talk radio virgins. Susan and Joe were great!

  200. Joe says that the Grand Jury is still in session and should be until the first week of May.

Also, he said that during the inquest into Kathleen’s death that her sister (don’t know if it was Anna or Susan) stood up and spoke out about Drew’s abuse.

It was pretty chilling to realize that she had never been asked to testify and had to cry out from “the audience” in order to be heard.

  201. I had trouble hearing but will listen to the podcast, a link to which I hope will be posted here. ;) BBL

  202. Ha, I’ll listen to the podcast late one night, cringing, with headphones on.

Now I remember why I quit that radio job I had for a week 10 years ago.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Thank you cyrhla, I understood it to be a hypothecical question as well.

From memory LE did a lot of ground- and footwork in those early days, such as door knocking the Sherwood neighborhood, to ascertain anyone had seen Stacy/Stacy’s car on/around 10/28/07 etc

  204. I think, JAH, they did exactly what Drew had expected they would do after calling from Stacy’s phone from Shorewood ;) and he actually followed the opposite direction…

  205. Sorry yes Shorewood – LOL !

Oh well at least LE already knew Drew would want to frame SOMEONE (anyone), but I still maintain he did not think in a million years everyone would be on his tail so soon and he’d be exposed like he is now (!)

  206. I wonder…Will there be a post typed up here with a synopsis of todays show with Rescue/Facs for those that were unable to listen ???

  207. Yes, please…if anybody is able to put up a synopsis that would be great. I can’t listen. Did anybody ask Hosey what information he is sitting on that leads him to believe it will be now or never? I am dying to know what he said.

Also, I have to add my disgust that Roger the Dodger got in again. That is so corrupt! Isn’t there some sort of overseeing body to keep an eye on things like that?

  208. I’ll listen to the podcast and type something up when I get a chance. There’s not much in the way of news on the Peterson front, but Susan’s new show is really good!

She wanted to discuss domestic violence and in particular dv in a setting of police officer and spouse.

I’m sorry we didn’t get to ask everyone’s questions – I was poking through them looking for the ones that applied the most to issue of the day.

  209. Heh, the day the magazine hit the stands, the ex-future Mrs. Peterson was moving out. Jerk face blames the media, yet, he had a schmoozy spread in People that couldn’t keep his rent-a-mama in his house. So sad.

Joe Hosey is the only reporter that gets it right! He doesn’t blow air up the crime suspect’s butt to get his royal idiotness to do an interview, and he still manages to get a comment from him occasionally. It’s obvious Joe Hosey is working hard to get the story continuous coverage, with an outlook of seeing it through to the end. At least when Joe Hosey does a story, it’s what’s really going on, not what Drew Peterson tells the interviewer what he wants him to report!

Keep up the good work, Joe.

  210. Good morning everyone! Thanks Facs for the link to the People pics. People magazine still has not even a reference to that story online, like it didn’t exist.
You can search DP but only shows previous articles (of which there are 3 or 4)

Thanks too for the link about traffic cameras. We have had them here a long time. They’re not a bad thing…it’s the perpetual speeders that squeal, and they go out and buy themselves GPS systems that alert for speed cameras. If a pedestrian is hit by a car doing 40miles per hour, they are 80% likely to die, if hit at 30miles per hour, 80% live. I’m a NASA girl….Nice And Safe Attitude. :-) They’ve also been useful in crime solving ;-)

…and well done again, Facs and Rescue, you were in a tricky spot with our questions vs their topic. It is a great show, and we love Susan Murphy Milano. Thank you Susan for fighting the good fight.

  211. Hi everyone :)

I agree with you, bucket, about the cameras. I also learned yesterday that they were just installed in BB for a trial (6 months) in March 2007. We can only guess why BBFirst (and his companions who like to drive drunk) why the village gave up ;).

I am thinking about Dennis Pratl (Orland Park policeman)and Herbert Hardy (ISP special agent), both supporting Drew (intentionally or not) during Kathleen’s investigation.
The chief of Orland Park PD is Tim McCarthy (by the way who saved the life to President Reagan) and the chief of BBPD (and former deputy for years) is Kevin McCarthy.

Dressed in jeans and a green collared shirt, sporting close-cut hair, Kevin McCarthy looks like anything but the undercover drug officer he was in the late 1980s. He’s now second in command of the Metropolitan Area Narcotics Squad, based in Will County, which is run by officers from participating police departments. For nearly two years beginning in 1986, McCarthy worked for the squad performing drug buys — one of which resulted in a violent attack on the police officer.

  212. Bolingbrook woman found dead in home

State police questioned a local officer who found his estranged wife dead in her bathtub after trying to return their two children from visitation Monday. The officer, Sgt. Drew Peterson, faces no criminal charges and continues to work for the Bolingbrook Police Department. “At this point, I don’t even consider this a homicide,” said Lt. Larry Brouk, a state police investigator. The matter currently is nothing more than an investigation into the death of Peterson’s estranged wife, 40-year-old Kathleen Savio.

An autopsy performed on Savio Tuesday afternoon revealed no signs of foul play, said Coroner Patrick O’Neil. Her cause of death is undetermined pending the results of the autopsy.

A coroner’s jury ruled the mysterious death of a Bolingbrook police officer’s ex-wife accidental and state investigators likely will close their probe on the woman’s demise. The jury rendered their verdict in the death of 40-year-old Kathleen Savio Friday morning. Savio was found dead when her ex-husband, police Sgt. Drew Peterson, arrived at her home to return their sons, ages 11 and 9, after a weekend visit in March.

No one answered the door and Peterson went to a neighbor’s to call a locksmith, police said. Once entry was gained, the neighbor went inside and found Savio laying dead in a waterless bathtub.

Peterson stayed outside while the neighbor went to check his wife’s home.
    ———–

  213. Oke, so what did Drew actually do with his children that day/evening ?

He took them back to Kathleens house on Sunday (?) and Kathleen didn’t open the door, so he took them back again to his own home (??)and once again never called anyone (??) just sat it out (?)

Did he go back the next day (?) or the same evening (?) as I read somewhere he was working that night, so how does that fit into all of this (?)

  214. hi cyrhla, jah :-)

DP said that because it was a public holiday on the Monday, he wasn’t sure whether she expected the boys back Sun or Mon, so when she wasn’t there Sunday, he says he assumed it would be a Monday hand-over. That’s what he said.

Lt. Larry Brouk, eh? He said “I” not “we” don’t consider it a homicide. Taking some personal responsibility there? Is he the one who really made the non-homicide call?

I thought Hosey was there to talk about the case, since I don’t know what experience he had with dv in a setting of police officer and spouse.

  216. You all did great on Susan’s show yesterday! I hope we all learned a little more about what Kathleen and Stacy could have done differently, of course hindsight doesn’t save them, but could save someone else who listens to this show. I hope everyone will become regular listeners, too!

Actually, I don’t think WordPress accepts these widgets for some reason. If you do get it to work for you let me know how you did it!

Thanks again Facs and Rescue for helping make Susan’s first show a great success!

  217. Facs and Rescue – Thanks for putting our questions out there and letting us hear your voices.

It is funny because I had thought that I was goofy to put general questions about abusive police officer spouses in my list and it turns out that was more the focus of the show.

I wish I was able to jump on the call sooner but I got delayed by cake and then challenged by technical difficulties.

After hearing how hard it is for people to get out of these kinds of relationships and everything the guest speaker discussed – it just seems like someone could decide it is easier to leave and think their kids will be safer that way. I so want to believe this is the case in my heart but my gut keeps telling me that is most likely not the case.

  218. Delilah1234 – After listening to this and seeing a family member going through this I think that this has to be one of the hardest situations to get out of. I pray that these women have the internal strength and a support of someone to help them get somewhere safe.

  219. Additionally to the fact that Drew was on duty on the night he ‘found’ Kathleen, he was the night watch commander of Bolingbrook. It means he was responsible for the correctness of all the procedures (also of other officers’)and that is why he could freely walk around the crime scene.
I wonder if he notified his chief then,Mike Calcagno, at once or on the other day? What makes me furious is that Mike Calcagno had offered his help to Kathleen. Where was he on 2nd/3rd March when the ISP started their investigation?

  220. After listening to this show, I have a new perspective on the “just leave him” advice I would have given if someone would have asked me. It’s just not that simple, is it?

  221. Morning all. I’ll add this stuff to the discussion about kathleen’s last day(s).

Remember Drew claims that Stacy had just had her wisdom teeth removed and that he was ‘babysitting’ her that weekend. However the family did make an outing to the Shedd aquarium on Sunday(?) and didn’t Drew also say that he left the house to get donoughts in the a.m.?

It’s hard to keep all the facts in my head at this point. I’d need to go find reports to confirm that stuff.

  222. I think if a woman left her husband, and left her children with him thinking they were safer that way — and then a media circus ensued, and her friends and family thought she was dead, that woman would make contact with someone. Just for the peace of mind of her family and friends.

And so while I would like to think of Stacy off somewhere living a better life than what she had with Drew, I can’t believe that is what has happened. Mostly because she loved her children, and she would know how her being out of their lives would affect them. She would not have gone that route IMO. If she were alive, she would have contacted someone.

  223. Noway – That is exactly what my gut feels too. My heart just can’t let go of hoping that everyone is wrong about Drew.

  224. Absolutely!

A hateful hateful thing is that lie. That her children would think she left them on purpose is a lie that he should be hung for if nothing else. Makes me BURN.

  225. Noway, I think that what both Suzanes had on their mind was that when you want to leave you should not inform or try to agree anything with your ‘partner’. Stacy was not prepared for this solution at all. She was still arguing with Drew, tried to make him out, threatened him with/ talked about their divorce, the knowlegde she had about KS. If she had been so cool she would be alive today and not only her but also her children would be missing. She would have told Cass about the possibility of running away instead of saying she was afraid of her life. Having the knowledge she had on Drew, she could feel safe to report her whereabouts to the police.

  226. Facs and Rescue, I wonder if Joe Hosey would be willing to answer some those questions of ours that won’t compromise the case. Maybe he would agree to come post here … maybe make a new thread ;).

    If so, I have more:

Is Tom Morphey’s ex-wife missing or is Drew Peterson blowing more hot air?

Peterson added that he is not the only one whose wife has disappeared. About 15 years ago, Morphey’s wife vanished, Peterson said.

    http://www.suntimes.com/news/peterson/1478542,CST-NWS-drew16.article

Is Rose Morphey actually Tom’s ex-wife or are they still legally married?

I’m sure more will pop into my head if we were having a discussion.

  227. It burns me when I think that the two little ones will remember nothing of Stacy except the awful lie that she abandoned them.

And it burns when I think of Kitty’s two boys growing to manhood being taught that women are interchangeable, that women will say that they love you only to leave; that the best way to deal with loss is to deny it, laugh and place blame on the people around you. That jokes, and trickery, mocking and lies are how you should deal with conflict and loss.

  228. Noway, we can ask him but he may not allow him to post on message boards (as himself). I remember Danya saying once that she was barred from doing that by her contract with Suburban News/Gatehouse.

  229. Facs, I remember Danya saying that, and it makes sense. Maybe he would let you interview him instead. And just answer the questions? :D

Heck, maybe Joe can do his own story on answering bloggers questions. ;)

  230. :D Bucket.

It seems that Drew is pointing the finger at Tom as far as Stacy being missing because Tom (allegedly) has a missing wife of his own.

I’d like Drew to say that again about Tom’s ex-wife, and then the reporter to stop Drew in his tracks by pulling out the proof (or the ex herself) to show Tom’s ex-wife is alive and well.

  231. I would think, though … if Tom’s wife/ex-wife were actually missing (as in none of her family had heard from her for 15 years) one of them would have contacted the media and screamed something about investigating their loved ones’ disappearance and TM.

Do you see what I mean?

  232. I guess if Drew doesn’t know where someone is, then she qualifies as a ‘missing person’…unless it’s his wife. Then she’s ‘run off’.

  233. Bucket – LOL.

Brodsky has actually stated himself that Morphey’s wife is missing. Here is what he said: “We learned as of yesterday that Tom Morphey’s wife vanished 10 years ago and hasn’t been seen since.”

Brodsky also lied on this interview stating explicitly when answering questions about the 18 calls for domestic disturbances – “We do know that there was never an order of protection taken out…”.

    Link to 11/30/07 CBS2 interview:

    http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=3557855n

  234. Thanks, Think! That explains why “10 years” was in my head.

So the proper response to Drew/Joel, when he comments that Tom’s wife has been missing for 15/10 years is:

What makes you think she is missing rather than ran off with another man or is on vacation?

  235. Let’s just say that if Tom’s wife were missing – what does that prove? Maybe Drew covered up something for for Tom and he used that as a way to get Tom to do things for him over the years (including helping him cover up a murder of what Tom thought would be Stacy’s boyfriend).

Tom has admitted he had a past drug/alcohol problem. Maybe there was some kind of accident that would have gotten him in a lot of trouble.

Maybe Drew was trying to get Tom to rent the storage facility for the very reason Tom has suspected – to make it look like Tom killed Stacy. (That way Drew would be a widower and get all of the shared assets without having to go through a divorce.)

Drew and Brodsky making these kinds of allegations is just white noise to try to divert the focus on someone else as the guilty party and it has repeatedly failed.

  236. I agree that it’s just Drew and Joel trying to take the focus off Drew. I’d just like to shut them up with proof that she is fine.

  237. “delayed by cake”

I’m going to start using this often in daily life.

I would have liked to have made that dental appointment for you, but unfortunately I was delayed by cake.

  238. I never heard her name until Drew mentioned it March 2009 but found this in the cached version of comments from a Greta Van Susteren report.

Usually, any name with even the slightest connection to this case is

1 of many in Bolingbrook says:

    Setting the record straight!

I know for a fact that Tom Morphey left his wife and she was alive when he left her. This is just a diversion by Drucifer and his lame a– lawyer ( I use lawyer loosely). Please do not buy into the fact that Tom had anything to do with her disappearing act. He has way too much heart to do anything as cold hearted as Drew has done. By the way if anyone knows where Rose Morphey is please post, he really wants to get a divorce.

I can’t decide if I think the post was legitimate or if the real point was to imply that Tom is not yet divorced. It sorta smells like the Liz-bridge thing to me. Nobody else commented in response to it as far as I can tell.

  239. What a life … to be delayed by cake. Most of us get delayed by traffic, a sudden mess made by a small child, a telephone call … not cake! :D

  240. LOL. And the part that really is funny about this is that I couldn’t even eat the cake. (Silly me giving up chocolate for Lent which is sometimes a component of cake.) All I could do is look at it and watch everyone else eat it. Thankfully it was ice cream cake which really isn’t my favorite.

I’m going to try to try this excuse when I get pulled over by the cops for speeding – “Sorry, Mr. Officer, I was delayed by cake so I had to make up time somehow.”

  241. Noway – I’m surprised with the timing of that original comment by Brodsky that the reporters weren’t hot on the trail to see if Tom’s estranged wife was actually missing or not. If anyone found her – they’d shout from the rooftops. If no one found her – the media would have started some new theories. Very, very strange.

I don’t think she is dead but I just think they lost touch with each other and maybe they didn’t have money to get a legal divorce or something. Many people do that when they have no children together or real assets. (Has anyone ever heard that Tom had any kids??)

  242. My point about the timing of the comment is that it was very early on in the investigation into Stacy’s disappearance and after Drew kicked off his “sinster sells” tour with Matt Lauer. At this time all of the media networks were out there in front of his house or nearby.

With some things that come out now – all of the media outlets are just borrowing Joe Hosey’s words and quoting his articles.

  243. We’ve noted here before that a white pages search turns up a 43-year-old Rose Morphey living in both Darien and Aurora Illinois recently.

My take on it is that she probably has been contacted by reporters and has probably responded with a “no comment” to any questions, which means they would have no confirmation to report.

  244. If they contacted the woman they believe to be Tom’s wife and she said she was his wife but other than that, she had no comment, then at least they’d know she was alive and well If she wasn’t his wife, and they had the wrong person, I would think that even that would have been reported.

  245. So Bonnie didn’t make it, eh? That’s a pity, because it means that Drew will never be arrested now. I am convinced of it. Dictator-for-Life Claar got elected by a huge margin (I wonder if there was any cheating, no…) and he’s buddy-buddy with Drew.

You know why Bonnie lost? It’s because she wasn’t even allowed on the ballot! Claar and his buddies (all of whom got elected; funny how that works out) kept her off the ballot because they knew she was a threat. Voters, especially in the suburbs, are apathetic and lazy. As long as they have three square meals and a roof over their heads, they don’t care about issues. I’ll wager most don’t even know who Bonnie is… or Claar for that matter!

Well way to go a**holes! You ELECTED Drew Peterson’s freakin drinking buddy! Hope the whole city of Bolingbrook is proud of itself. Maybe next time someones daughter (or sister, or wife, or mother) goes missing or gets raped they might actually act on it.

  246. So, everything think it has been awfully quiet on the Drew front? Well you are right… too quiet in fact. Drew “broke up” with his fake girlfriend right when that issue of People hit the stands. Funny how that works out.

I’ve said before that Chrissy outlived her usefulness to him. Which is probably exactly how he would phrase it if he could find another container for her. But I guess she got lucky or didn’t know enough to be a threat. Whatever the case, she got out alive. I’m willing to bet that she was another one of his “ghetto rats” who he traded cocaine with in exchange for sexual favors. But thats just me.

Heres what I think happened… I think that Drew wants to flirt with female reporters. That seems to be his MO, and unfortunately for him, its not so easy when you have an engagement looming over the horizon. He breaks up with Chrissy, assumes he gets sympathy, and conveniently ignores that most of the women in Chicago news are married (and/or have kids!).

I had predicted Drew would pull some sort of stunt as early as last Sunday. He didn’t, and I had egg on my face. But… maybe not. With the elections this week, maybe he didn’t want to do anything that might cast Claar in a bad light. Once Claar is in office, he can do anything he wants and nobody will care. In fact, he may even take some glee in making Claar sweat (considering his obesity, I expect Claar does alot of that).

If Drew does some stunt, it could be as early as tomorrow, or perhaps this weekend. I’d keep my eyes and ears peeled… Drew tends to be pretty predictable.

What he doesn’t realize is that people are loosing interest. Its sad to say, but the cameras are moving on and the police aren’t making any progress. Can’t or won’t; its a moot point. People forgot ALL about Stebic. They remember some details, sure, but they wouldn’t be able to pick Craig Stebic out of a line-up.

Peterson has done more to stay in front of the cameras, yes, but the media stops caring about some braying jack a** from the suburbs after a while. For all his antics, Peterson is ultimately forgettable, and with everyone else covering his a**… well, it will cease to be a news story. Even Selig and Brodsky can find greener pastures, especially once Drew finally runs out of money! I’ll laugh when everyone sees him for the washed out, man-boobed failure that he is.

Now, with that dawning upon him, I predict Peterson will try to up the ante. He can’t stand the idea that he might lose. So, perhaps next month, you will see a flurry of activity. That’s just a prediction, mind you, but since Mancow seems to be his only friend…

    Well, just a thought anyway…

  247. One last thing, doing a bit of reading on Judge Edwin Grabiec and came across another case of a well-connected Illinois politician/drug dealer: Death plot tied to Tezak… Sounds like a perfect boyfriend for Peterson.

    To summarize here:

But in a sentencing hearing Friday for one of those arson convictions, prosecutors painted the seamiest picture yet of the one-time millionaire and Republican power broker with testimony that Tezak tried to hire a hit man to kill a congressional candidate and that he was a high-living drug supplier and user.

Former Teamsters official Kenneth Floyd told a Will County judge that Tezak approached him outside a truck stop near Plainfield to try to arrange the murder of Shawn Collins, who ran unsuccessfully for Congress in 1986.

So lets get this straight. Politically well connected? Seems to apply to Peterson, albeit on a local scale, since he doesn’t have what it takes to run with the big boys. The drug thing is spot on, especially since cocaine is rumored to be Drew’s drug of choice. And then… approaching a man in a truck stop to arrange a hit? Man, did they compare notes?

    It goes on…

Leber was among the witnesses Friday who portrayed Tezak as a drug supplier who introduced teenagers to cocaine, smoked opium with friends on private planes bound for auto-racing events and flew prostitutes into Joliet on his company plane.

Hmmm… could apply equally well for Peterson or Claar I suppose…. But then this…

Leber, who told federal authorities that she had an eight-year love affair with Tezak while married to his son, said Tezak gave her marijuana at 17 and later supplied her with cocaine on a weekly basis.

The closest she came Friday to repeating the sexual allegations was to say she met with her father-in-law frequently in a building owned by a Joliet car dealer where the two would use cocaine.

“I was at his beck and call. I was being used by Bob,” she said.

Now THAT is scary. Drew goes around picking up women around that age; 16, 17. Most of them have shady backgrounds, most of them are ‘ghetto rats,’ and most of them are loyal to the death. Quite literally. Doesn’t this guy sound exactly like Drew? Using cocaine to mingle at parties and pick up under-aged girls?

She wasn’t the only one either. It also makes me wonder about what sort of homo-erotic relationship Peterson may have been enjoying with Carcerano, Mims, the Robinsons, et al. He does strike me as the type who swings both ways.

I still think the drug angle is the route to go. Nobody has wanted to challenge him on that, or investigate it further, but there is big money in drugs. Politicians do it, as can be seen here. That equals clout, that equals protection. Most of all, it equals lots of secure hiding places to dispose of a body. I can only hope that one day the feds raid some of his property, and if they do, maybe they will find a nice blue surprise awaiting them.

With that in mind, it might also be the way to get rid of that drunkard Claar and his little wizards…

  248. Just want to let everyone know that I’m typing and we should have a post by the end of day…
    :)

  249. You know why Bonnie lost? It’s because she wasn’t even allowed on the ballot! Claar and his buddies (all of whom got elected; funny how that works out) kept her off the ballot because they knew she was a threat.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Considering the sabotaging and manipulation Bonnie endured in her Campaign and at the Ballot, it is amazing she officially still managed to get 26% of votes.

  250. Former Will County Coroner Robert Tezak, twice convicted on arson charges and serving a federal prison term, has already undergone a huge fall from his days as one of the most powerful figures in county politics

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Oh, that’s an interesting combination – a coroner and arsonist.

Coroner by day – arsonist by night ?

  251. I think that the size of her share of the votes is remarkable. Cerastes is right that people don’t know or seem to care. Also, getting people to write in a candidate is pretty hard. They MUST know and care to do it.

The result is not official, remember, until April 28th ;-)

  252. I wonder what the result would’ve been if people had to write-in Claar if they wanted to vote for him, too.

  253. In the same article from 1996 and look at how involved that was:

Friday’s sentencing hearing was part of an attempt by State’s Atty. James Glasgow to get more prison time for Tezak for his role in a 1987 fire that destroyed a downtown Joliet building housing a federal agency under investigation for steering contracts to political insiders. He was convicted last month in state court on that charge.

  254.

    No Way! (sorry noway lol)
Arid-zona, you say? Isn’t that where DP had been planning to move?

When I copied it it was in nice and neat columns, seperated by figures for Democrats and Republicans.

Can Gatekeeper please remove it ?

    Yes, that’s correct.

Drew wanted to go into business there.

Also a few stories re Tezak visiting China and a Chinese delegation coming to Joliet re a soy bean plantation (!)

  258. Hmm. …a bar, I bet, or a restaurant with a bar. A cash business ;-) Chinese soybeans? will County, tofu capital of the midwest.

  259. Sorry that was a soybean processing plant (!)

Maybe just “Chinese white” noise, but interesting stories just the same.

Much more interesting than Drew and Joels average white noise !
